Lost in the Moment (Icy Angel)
OoC: This one will be with my Kawaii and Icy Angel's character of choice. On a side note: the creatures in the story are intelligent
BiC: Kawaii ran through the thick underbrush of a forest. She was running away from the inhuman horde that was chasing after her. Earlier that day Kawaii was enjoying a nice walk through a forest. She skipped along a path while she hummed, and occasionally tried to whistle, a tune. But, as children do, she eventually got bored and wandered off of the path. After about ten minutes, she realized she couldn't find it again. After about an hour, she realized she was lost. The sun was starting to set now, she'd been in the forest since dawn and she's been lost for about half that time. The orange light of the sun was filtering through the leaves of the trees, creating quite a captivating scene. Kawaii took notice of this and got lost in the vibrance. When she wasn't paying attention she happened upon something unfortunate. So she was running from the horde that she had walked right into earlier. The thickets, brambles, and trees kept her from running at full speed. While on the same note, the creatures were moving like there was nothing in the way at all. Kawaii stopped running when she came to a clearing. It was night now and she could hardly tell that the creatures had surrounded her. She was scared, but she summoned up her courage and yelled "I'm not afraid of you!" OoC: Sorry if you don't like it, I'm still kind of an ameture. anyways, you can choose your alignment, with the creatures or with Kawaii. And thanks for choosing me.

Re: Lost in the Moment (Icy Angel)
ooc: ill use my double char of Turath and Glana, and don't thank me for choosing, its nothing.
Tugging at the dead man’s arms, the two vampires dragged the corpse further and further into the forest. His body left a slight blood trail, the blood coming from an open axe wound in the side of his head. “It wasn’t very smart killing him next to the center of the village Turath, half the blood came out of him while we were dragging him,” Glana muttered. After a full hour of non stop dragging she was beginning to get tired, her arm sore from the pulling. “Hey Dumahri egged me on, it’s not my fault!” the older vampire said, casting his glaze to the dead man. Don’t blame me for what you did! Dumahri shouted angrily in Turath’s head. There was silence once again while they dragged their meal along, looking for a suitable stop to eat. Noticing that Glana was having trouble keeping up, he grabbed the other arm and dragged the meal by himself. “Dumahri,” the male vampire muttered under his breath, making the rune on his left hand illuminate, and his muscles bulged in his armor. “You don’t need to drag it by yourself you know, I can help,” Glana said silently. “It’s no problem Glana,” Turath muttered. He is a gentleman towards you, even if its just taking the load off, Raheb said in Glana’s mind, his voice full of slight amusement. He always is, and yet Glana has never thanked him for it, Morlack replied. Knowing she had to say something because of the vampire spirits, she turned her attention back to Turath. “Listen Turath…” “Hey a clearing! Perfect place to sit and eat,” the older vampire said, glee filling his voice. With a bound he jumped into the clearing, setting the body down next to an old log. It would be better to tell him after we’ve finished eating Glana thought, sending the message to the other vampires. Sitting down next to Turath, she bit deep into the man’s neck, sucking the blood out as fast as she could, knowing that on the other side of the neck Turath was doing the same. After a few minutes the female vampire relinquished her hold on the corpse, letting Turath finish off what little blood was left. Wiping her chin with her sleeve, she licked any remaining blood from it. After a few minutes Turath withdrew from the corpse, doing as Glana had done earlier. “He was fat and probably out of shape from eating too much, at least it added some flavor to his blood,” Turath said, licking any unseen blood from his lips. Now would be the perfect time… Raheb thought, cutting into Glana’s personal train of thought. “Shut up! Im going to tell him!” she grumbled, catching Turath’s attention. But before she could reply there was a thud, and someone ran into the clearing. Instantly the two backed into the shadows and pulled up their hoods, unsheathing their weapons. “Im not afraid of you!” the person shouted, looking wildly around her. Getting ready to jump, Glana tensed her legs, but was stopped as Turath stuck his axe out in front of her. “There are more than us here,” the vampire whispered, and before she could reply he swung round, his axe aiming for Glana’s head. She yelled and ducked, the axe missing by millimeters, and carried on into the stomach of a creature, a knife poised to strike Glana in the back. Grabbing Glana by her cloak, he threw her into the middle of the clearing next to the other figure, and then followed himself. |

Re: Lost in the Moment (Icy Angel)
OoC: That's better than I remember. I'm really going to have to pump it up for this one.
BiC: “There are more than us here.” Kawaii heard someone behind her say. She spun around in time to see one of the creatures get an axe in the gut. She let out a little eep at the sight of blood being drawn. There were two figures standing near her, one of them had just buried his axe in a creature. The two figures came closer to Kawaii, one stumbling the other running. By this time, a few more of the creatures had entered the clearing. Kawaii was distracted by the two and didn't notice. As one of the creatures was about to bring his weapon down on the distracted Kawaii, the female figure cut across its chest with a dagger and then thrust her foot into its gut. The male figure fought off two more of the creatures, while the female one tried to talk to Kawaii. She knelt down and put her hands on Kawaii's shoulders. "Are you okay?" she asked. "I'm fine." Kawaii replied. "What are you doing out here alone, at this time of night? Where are your parents?" "I got lost and then these mean things started chasing me for no reason." Then one of the creatures came up behind them. Kawaii saw it, got down into a jumping stance, and pushed off toward it. When she made contact, her and the creature skidded back and fell to the ground. Kawaii brought her head up and then slammed it down against the creature's. She then got up, picked up the body, and tossed it at another oncoming creature. Glana had a suprised look on her face, this clearly wasn't an ordinary little girl. "Who are you? And how did you do that?" She asked. "My name's Kawaii, and I'm strong!" Kawaii responded enthusiasticly as she got into a pose and flexed. "Uhh, I'm Glana, and that's my partner Turath." Glana said as she motioned toward Turath. "Now that you're done exchanging pleasantries," Turath interjected "Perhaps you could come over here and help!" OoC: The creatures are humanoid with reptilian legs and arms. Their scales are bright green and their skin is a greenish, yellowish, brownish color. They also have pure white eyes. Anyways, can't wait to see what you have in store next time.

Re: Lost in the Moment (Icy Angel)
Keeping the girl near her, Glana struck out at any of the creatures that dared to try to attack, slashing violently at their faces. But there were more of these creatures than expected, each one wielding a weapon.
“Ok this is starting to annoy me,” Turath muttered, cleaving several heads with one blow from his axe. Grabbing one of the dead creatures he pull off it’s hooded cloak, revealing a man with lizard arms and legs, though he had sort of lizard eyes that were milky white, probably indicating that they were blind. With a grunt he threw the creature at another, but their numbers didn’t seem to lessen. “Ok since were running fresh on blood we can hold them off for a while, but their numbers aren’t decreasing,” Turath mumbled to himself, trying to figure out what to do. There was a scream behind him, and the vampire turned round to see the child being pulled away from a struggling Glana. But before they could move her any further Turath was upon them, his axe cutting through their limbs like ribbons. Roughly grabbing Kawaii by her arm, he picked her up and placed her on his back to make sure no harm could come to her. With a jump he landed next to Glana, who had freed herself from her captors. “Ok Im seriously starting to get ticked off by these things!” Glana yelled, viscously stabbing one the reptiles in the face, its dark green blood spurting everywhere. But for some reason more of the lizards were trying to get Turath. “Ok what did you do to these creatures?” the male vampire questioned, burying his axe in reptiles blood. “Nothing I… Ahh!” the girl shouted, and was dragged off the vampires back. There was a crack and Glana was stood next to her, the reptile heads all carrying holes in. “I think it was time for a bit of vampire spirit, don’t you think Glana!” Turath shouted, swinging his axe round violently. “Which double should we do?” the female vampire replied. “I think Raheb and Dumahri, it’s been a long time since they have fought together!” I won’t fight with Raheb! That annoying fish is nothing but trouble! Dumahri shouted angrily, his thought brushing Turath’s consciousness. And the same was for Raheb. That fire breather is nothing but trouble! He won’t let me finish any battle we are ever in! Raheb thought angrily. But the two took no notice and after a few moments they transformed, Turath’s hair and eyes turning fully blood red, his muscles bulging five times bigger, and Glana’s hair and eyes fully changed, coloring themselves diamond blue, her arms and legs bulging with slight muscles. |

Re: Lost in the Moment (Icy Angel)
One of the creatures attacked Kawaii. She grabbed its arm and swung it over her head, slamming it on the ground. She then spun around and tossed the body at a group of them, knocking them down like a row of dominoes. She giggled and returned to Glana's side.
Though the fight was easier with their elemental powers, Glana and Turath were still struggeling. Glana could make one look like a cleaned fish and Turath could cleave one in half with one swing, but it still didn't seem like they were any less in number. Turath severed an arm of one of the creatures, picked it up by its shoulder, and threw it at a tree. Glana carved a triangle of flesh out of one of them and tripped it over. Kawaii kicked one in the shin, making it kneel over, and delivered an uppercut that sent it into the treetops. But still the creatures numbers weren't decreasing. Then Glana noticed something. After stabbing one of the creatures in the face she saw that there was an area of lighter skin on its chest that was shaped like a triangle. Just then, she figured it out. "They're healing!" Glana shouted to the others. "What?" Kawaii and Turath both replied. "There's not just a lot of them, they're getting back up after we take them down!" She shouted. And the other two would have responded with a "yes" or an "okay", but Glana's distraction had gotten Turath a dagger in the thigh and Kawaii a dagger in the back. Turath yelled more out of angen than of pain. He then seized the creature by the neck and snapped it, and ,after he let it fall to the ground, stepped on its head. Kawaii, hardly even noticing she was stabbed, removed the knife from herself, threw it at a creature, and punched the one that knifed her in the face. By this time the two vampires had synched up enough with their spirits to start using their elemental magic. But what Turath didn't know was that as soon as he started using his, he would cripple Kawaii with fear.

Re: Lost in the Moment (Icy Angel)
Grabbing the nearest creature by its head, he sent a wall of flame up his arm into the reptiles face, turning it to charcoal. There was a whimpering sound behind him, making Turath drop the reptile. Kawaii was stood near him, looking at the flames coming from his hands, fear showing in her eyes.
“What’s the matter?” Glana asked, two reptile ice statues stood in front of her. With a swift kick she brought another one too its knees, finishing it off by freezing it where it was laid. “I don’t know,” the male vampire replied. Swinging his axe around him, he gradually made it to the girl. “What’s the matter?” he said calmly. She didn’t reply but kept her eyes fixed on Turath’s hand. Punching several lizards with a fiery fist, he suddenly realized what was wrong. “She’s scared of fire!” Turath shouted, cleaving a reptiles head from its body. Jumping away, he put himself behind Glana so she couldn’t see him. Grabbing a reptile, he threw it at another bunch. “This is no use, if they heal every time we hurt them, then we can’t win,” Glana grunted, wrestling with a bigger reptile. Focusing, Turath sent a ball of fire into the lizards back, making a smoking hole. “I think we need to leave, now,” Turath grunted. Nodding in reply, she punched the ground, a wave of ice emanating from her fist, freezing most of the lizards. Taking the advantage, the female vampire ran over to Kawaii, who was looking at the frozen lizards with mild amusement. Before she said anything Glana grabbed her by the arm, dragging her to the side of the clearing. “Keep your head down and eyes shut, Turath will follow us,” Glana said, pushing Kawaii to the ground and then following suit. In the middle of the ice ring, Turath was focusing, his axe sheathed and his hands together. Flame had covered ever part of his body, and was slowly building in his hands. The ice nearest him was beginning to melt, and the heat was steadily building. With a harsh wordless cry, Turath threw up his hands, and a ball of white flame shot out. Nearly falling over, he ran for the trees where Glana was. Sliding, he ended up next to the female vampire, and watched as the ball got higher and higher. “Your turn Glana,” the male vampire said casually. Giggling, the woman got up, and with a swift crash landed on part of the ice, which turned to water under her feet. The ball was still climbing, but was slowing down. With a click the ice melted, freeing all the lizards, and before they could do anything, the newly formed water a rising up in the middle of them, making a whirlpool, sucking all the reptiles into it. Jumping, she landed back next to Turath and Kawaii, a smile playing across her face. “Hopefully the explosion won’t reach this far,” Turath whispered, watching as the ball in the sky exploded, raining fiery pieces of death upon the trapped lizards. |

Re: Lost in the Moment (Icy Angel)
The group, with the exception of Kawaii, watched The fireballs rain from the sky. Many of them landed in the whirlpool causing the probably very confused creatures to shriek. A few were landing outside and before any could land near them, the group took off.
"You can open your eyes now." Glana said to Kawaii "But don't look back." "Thank you for helping me get away from those bad things." Kawaii said. "No problem." Glana replied. And so the group kept running, until they started to notice things. Glana and Turath heard the creatures in the distance. They were getting closer. The group tried to pick up their pace, but the brush of the forest and Turath's wound kept them from gaining distance. Also, the area was starting to look familiar to the two vampires. Turath looked down to see that they were runing along a red line on the grass. "We're going back the way we came." Turath said as quietly as he could. "What?" Glana replied. "Look down, we're running out of the forest the same way we dragged that corpse in." Glana looked down and then abruptly stopped. "What are you stopping for?" Turath asked as he and Kawaii came to a halt. "If this is the way we came, then we're leading those creatures right to the village we came from!" Glana exclaimed. Good, more blood. I was getting thirsty. Dumahri said in Turath's head. "Now's not the time!" Turath said, not looking at anyone in particular. "Why is he talking to himself?" Kawaii asked. "It's a long story." Glana answered.

Re: Lost in the Moment (Icy Angel)
“Glana, it’s either us or the humans, and I have no objection to letting them die for our expense,” Turath grumbled. The wound on his thigh was twinging with mild pain, and a small amount of blood was slowly dripping out.
Dumahri, can you do something about the leg? Fine, but I want another meal when we are finished with this… The fire spirit replied. A small jet of flame burst of flame emerged from the leg, and after a moment disappeared, sealing the wound. “I don’t have any problem with letting the humans die,” the female replied casually, and turned back to running. But before they could put any distance between them and the reptiles, five of the creatures appeared in front of them. “This is really irritating! Move!” Turath shouted. Glana grabbed the girl and jumped to the side of the path. Mumbling several words under his breath, the vampire began to transform, a giant pair of bat like wings sprouting from his back. Suddenly the vampire darted forward, moving his limbs faster than the eye could follow. There were several cracks, and Turath became visible again, his axe smeared with blood. Gesturing for the other two to follow, they walked past the reptiles, which weren’t moving at all, stuck in a fighting stance. As they walked past Kawaii accidentally knocked one of the creatures, and its head fell, followed by the others. She screamed and pushed her into Glana’s cloak, trying to block the sight of the head. Smiling, the male vampire silently laughed at the girl’s plight, but stopped as soon as the female vampire gave him a look of pure hatred. I may be a vampire, but im not that evil… Glana mouthed to him. There was a crash behind them, a signal of the creatures drawing closer to them. They began to run again, Turath slicing any low hanging branches that impeded their progress. The crashes were starting to grow louder, closing in on them. “Keep going, I will catch up,” Turath muttered, and spread his wings. With a swift launch he took flight, soaring over the treetops, and he instantly saw what the crashes were coming form. The reptiles were hopping from branch to branch on the treetops, moving at immeasurable speeds, the crashes coming from the odd tree that couldn’t take a lizards weight. Grinning at their cunning, he lashed out with his sword, sending razor thin slices of air at the trees nearest him, cutting them down with ease. After a few moments there was another clearing, one which the reptiles probably couldn’t jump. Laughing, he turned to return to the others, but suddenly felt something collide with him on his back, sticking a knife into him. ~ Glana ran full pelt, dragging Kawaii behind her. There were several louder crashes behind them, the sounds of trees falling over, and then there was silence for a moment. But it was suddenly broken by a high pitched scream, making the woman stop in her tracks. “Turath!” Glana yelled, unsheathing her daggers. She turned to face the girl, a look of slight anger on her face. “Keep going, don’t follow me,” she said silently, and started running before Kawaii could reply. Keeping to the shadows, she slowly approached the newly made clearing, and found Turath in the middle, one of his wings torn from his back. He was swinging his axe with unbelievable accuracy against the reptiles that surrounded him, but he was slowly being overwhelmed. Yelling curse words in a high pitched scream, she jumped into the clearing taking most of the lizards by surprise, stabbing violently at her foes. She slowly made her way to Turath, who was slowing with his attacks. “We can’t win this Glana,” the man muttered weakly. There was a crack and half the lizards went flying, revealing a smiling Kawaii. |

Re: Lost in the Moment (Icy Angel)
OoC: Respect.
BiC: "You two can't have all the fun!" She said as she rushed in to defend the two. Kawaii ran in front to stop the creatures from getting to her friends. She immediately started swinging her fists at anything that hoved into her field of vision, giving the two vampires time to pull back. Glana swung at any creatures that were able to get around Kawaii as she helped Turath limp back. "You scared me back there." Glana said. "I wanted you and the girl to get away." Turath said weakly "Looks like I didn't need to worry." he looked back at the pink blur. "Turath..." After they got back a few more yards Glana examined Turath. He didn't have many injuries, and the cuts he did have had already been sealed by fire. He had mostly just over worked himself. Then Kawaii ran up to the two. "I don't want to have all the fun either!" "Can't you see he's hurt?" Glana asked while still checking Turath. But then she looked up to see that Kawaii had several slash marks all over her body. "My god, what happened to you?" Glana asked. "I got cut." Kawaii answered. "How are you still... Alive?" "Look." Kawaii stuck her elbow in Glana's face. Glana looked into the cut on her elbow not to see blood and flesh, but to see wood. "What are you?" Glana asked "I.." Kawaii started to say, but was cut off by the sounds the creatures were making as they, pulled themselves together. "Well, are we going to fight or run?" Kawaii asked. "For now, we're going to run." Glana said "Help me with Turath, I know a way to get him back on his feet." The group moved as fast as they could to get to the village. All the while they could hear the crack of the tree branches as the creatures moved closer. Finally they reached the edge of the forest. "You go find someplace to wait Kawaii," Glana said "We've got something to take care of." OoC: Sorry if I didn't get their personalities down right. It's at times like these I realize I can't write that well.

Re: Lost in the Moment (Icy Angel)
Morlack, I need you to take over, and Raheb move for Morlack… Glana thought. There was a hissing sound from Raheb, and then she felt him leave, replaced by the sensitive spirit of the female earth vampire.
You called upon me child? The vampire spirit said dryly. Yes, I am in need of your help… As usual, I am glad to be off assistance… Warming up as the earth spirit took control, the gills on her neck disappeared, and her muscles bulged. With a flash her hair changed from diamond blue to emerald green, as did her eyes. “Morlack I presume,” Turath said dryly, the sound of Zephain filling his voice. “Zephain, it has been a while since we fought together,” Glana replied, letting Morlack use her mouth to speak. The two vampires were used to these little conversations, and kept walking. The reptiles were getting closer, but it didn’t unsettle the two. Instead, Turath with his newly regrown wings took flight and began to prepare for his final assault on these creatures, leaving Glana to do the same. Focusing, she pushed her hand to the ground. Focus my energy my child, build it up and release it in one strike at the enemy, do not waste it yet… Morlack thought gently. The female vampire focused, and millisecond before the creatures got to her, punched the ground with all her might, making the ground in front of her erupt with rocky spikes, spearing every single reptile. From above Turath released wave after wave of razor thin sheets of air, catching the creatures in the stomach, draining them of their energy so they couldn’t heal themselves. Laughing at their plight, Turath landed as his wings disappeared. “Should we go back to Kawaii?” Glana said, scratching her arm where one of the reptiles had scratched it. “No, I don’t want her to be following us wherever we go, and don’t get attached. We are creatures of the night, a kid would slow us down,” the male vampire grunted, seeing the look on Glana’s face. Knowing that he was right, she looked at the entrance to the forest, and a dot that indicated that Kawaii was still waiting. “We should go, the sun will be rising soon,” Glana muttered, pulling up the hood on her cloak. Nodding in reply, Turath did the same, and they followed the blood trail back to where they came, slipping into the shadows. Ooc: great battle, we should do a group battle sometime, you can post once more if you want, to say what happens to Kawaii. |
