Twisted Carnival. (Oblivion Alliance)
OOC: This is the battle that I, Link, Drewey, and myself have had planned. For timeline’s sakes this battle takes place after “Chamber of Memories”, which means that Gorin’s already had two encounters with a mysterious doppelganger of his original self, as well as having ascended from echo to neo-echo.
Even though this will focus on Isis, Nenet, and Gorin, any OA member is free to join. BIC: The lab was filled with various noises. There were shrieks, squawks, roars, growls, barks, meows, and howls erupting from every floor. “Damn my curiosity,” Mumbled the neo-echo. He had opened yet another mysterious door in the late Grasthos’ lab, and accidentally unleashed a large amount of Tainted Element mutants. The mutants were early attempts by Grasthos to meld Tainted Element and several different kinds of animals. The animals ranged from mice and insects to lions and bears. The mutations did nothing besides giving them insatiable hunger and dramatically raise their overall physical power. Gorin had his back against a titanium door, the only thing separating him from the beasts. He knew they’d break through soon and overrun him. He needed help fast or else he’d be forced to retreat from his own home… OOC: After everyone’s entrance posts with their characters ending up at Grasthos’ lab for some reason or another we can start on the part of the quest that this thread was named after.

Re: Twisted Carnival. (Oblivion Alliance)
I'll edit my post fairly soon, just have to un-muddle some things.
EDIT: Eh... sort of hard to come up with something.... meh. --------------------------------------------------------- BiC: Isis sat down exasperated. It had been a hard battle, that temple. She wondered why Gorin needed that kind of power, why would he risk his allies' lives in order to make himself better than all others? It was a mystery to the goddess, yet she didn't really wonder too much about it. "I wonder if I should.... no. Not yet." A letter was resting on Isis' bed before she even got there. "What now?" She opened the letter, and was barely able to decipher the hurried scrawl. "Hurry, I need you to come to my rescue! I opened a door, and all these... things... just ran out and attacked. I'm at Grasthos' old lab, please hurry. ~Gorin" "Oh my God." The goddess ran outside and spread her wings, the air swirling on take-off. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Argh, CJs... gone... totally... drained.... Tingle is GAY... |

Re: Twisted Carnival. (Oblivion Alliance)
Something is wrong.
Nenet could feel it. Something was not right. She stroked the head of the little starling that sat on her hand, and bade it goodbye. "Goodbye, little starling. I must go for now! Come back soon!" The bird, seeming to understand her, fluttered off. She stared up at the deep blue sky, holding her hand above her brows to shield her eyes from the sun. Just as she turned around, a pigeon came soaring down and landed on her shoulder. She jumped in suprise, and snatched the peice of rolled parchment that was in its claws. Nenet, I'm in trouble. Please come to Grathos' lab! I really need your help. I'd appreciate it. ~Gorin. Ah, so that was the feeling I got. She rolled the parchment off and bid the second bird goodbye, running off to gather her belongings. --~--~--~--~--~-- "Gorin!" It had taken Nenet hours to find Grathos' lab. She really had no idea where it was, but had narrowed it down from what Gorin had told her before. It turned out to be a large building, almost in the middle of no where. Gorin was leaning against a titanium door, or at least she assumed, and creatrues of some sort were pounding on it demanding to get out. Sweat dripped down his red face, straining from the effort. "What's going on?" "...opened something I shouldn't have..." was all that escaped him. "Oh, geez..."

Re: Twisted Carnival. (Oblivion Alliance)
OOC: I’d wait for some more members to join, but this battle mainly focuses on Isis, Nenet, and Gorin so I guess we can start early. More members can still join of course.
BIC: Gorin strained against the door. He was stronger than each of the individual animals, but all of them at once was a bit overwhelming. He was glad to know that help had come and made the mistake of lowering his defense on the door. “Could you grab that candle and light it?” He asked. Once the candle was lit he could focus the fire and shoot it into the room through the cracks between the door and the doorframe. Nenet grabbed a candle off of a nearby table. After a few seconds she found the matches near it and lit the candle. A sudden noise boomed through the door. The noise was that of a rhino demon’s roar, but altered slightly. The neo-echo rolled his eyes at the thought of Grasthos going so far as to mutate a demon. The force on the other side of the door seemed to dissipate as the floor began to shake. Gorin stepped away from the door and absorbed the flame from the candle. “Umm, Gorin?” Asked the female pirate. She had never seen a rhino demon, and had no idea that their charges could build up enough power to carve through a mountain. The fact that it was mutated by Tainted Element didn’t help one bit. The titanium door was suddenly sent flying across the room, as well as a good portion of the wall itself. A flash of light suddenly struck the rhino demon almost as soon as it came through the wall. “Gorin?” Asked a female voice. The Oblivion Master and the female pirate turned to see a winged woman standing on the open window. “Hello Isis,” Said the neo-echo. The flash of light had been powerful enough to kill the other animals as well due to the fact that unfinished mutations had an extreme weakness towards any elements. Isis and Nenet caught one another’s gazes while Gorin searched through Grasthos’ notes to see what the death dealer thought could be accomplished by mutating animals. “It seems he mutated those things so that he could sell them to ‘Twistedzous Circicouso’, a carnival where the carnies are cannibals. Due to the recent rise of powerful warriors the carnival needed something a bit more than insane clowns to get their meals.” “Let me guess,” Said Isis. “We’re going to the carnival to make sure all of those things are dead before they can finish mutating.” Gorin nodded. He could feel a slight tension in the air between Nenet and Isis. This wouldn’t turn out well, but he should bring both of them in case he needed help against a fully finished mutation of another rhino demon, or worse. The neo-echo whistled for Frank, his personal imp, to come with the horse drawn carriage. This was the same carriage the Oblivions had used during the ancient temple incident. “Come on then, unless you’d rather not.” Gorin said to the girls. He sat down in the carriage. “I wish I could stay with Nenet though. It’s been about two months since I last saw her, and I just know Kenjin either did something to her or is planning on doing something. That damn Encorna…”

Re: Twisted Carnival. (Oblivion Alliance)
Nenet glanced around wildly. Gorin had an... imp? Well that was something she didn't know. She sat tentatively down in the carriage, wiggling in the seat as it made a squinching noise. Isis followed, staring at Nenet with a hard stare. It sent chills up her spine.
The imp laughed with a wicked grin and shut the door. The current supply of good light was cut off, and dim rays trailed through the coarse burlap curtains. Nenet shifted uncomfortably in her seat, when Isis cleared her throat and ask, "Gorin, how long will this take?" Nenet, who was sitting beside Gorin, knew that he shrugged when his shoulder bumped hers, but Isis could not see. She grunted in anger, thinking that Gorin was not speaking to her. The carriage bumped and shook as they went over the road, which must have been a dirt one. It was much too bumpy for any of their likings, but they had to deal with it. However, despite the bumpity-bumps, Nenet managed to fall asleep and accidentally leaned over on Gorin--though, he didn't mind. "Wake up!" snarled the distorted voice of Gorin's imp as light flooded into the carriage. Nenet woke up, snapping up quickly. All three rubbed their eyes and shielded them from the bright sunlight. As they emerged from the carriage, a large and run down sign greeted them.

Re: Twisted Carnival. (Oblivion Alliance)
OOC: Sorry if you wanted I, Link to post. I didn’t know if you wanted him or I to post (still a little screwed up this week).
BIC: “Twistedzous Circicouso,” Gorin read aloud. Behind the sign a large circus tent was accompanied by several smaller ones. The ooohs and ahhs of a crowd could be heard coming from the largest tent. “Mwahahahaha! Come one, come all! We have the greatest shows this side of existence!” hollered a voice. All three Oblivions turned their heads to see that a podium was erected near the road, and a rather short man was standing on it. “We have the bearded baby, the flying zebra, the fattest man alive, and even a furry crocodile! Come and see the freaks and weirdoes of Twistedzous Circicouso!!!” Gorin raised his eyebrow in confusion. They were the only ones outside of the tent, so why was this guy yelling so loud? Nenet walked over to the short man. He stepped down from the podium, probably expecting some technical questions about how much it cost to see the show. “Ummm, why are you shouting?” She asked. The short man, whom the female pirate could now see was bald, started to swear under his breath. “Sorry about that. I can’t tell if the thousands of people surrounding me are just my imagination, or if I’m really surrounded by people.” He replied. The short man wore overly large overalls, as well as a very small top hat. He wore a greasy red shirt with various stains. Something told Gorin that a few of those were bloodstains. “It’ll be ten gold pieces each,” continued the short man. He fidgeted with a knife in his pocket, especially when he noticed the looks he was receiving from the three. Isis stepped forward, not wanting to seem mute. She spread her wings for an intimidating look for two reasons. The first was to scare the little man, and the other reason was because she wanted to impress Gorin. “We’re here to shut you down,” the goddess replied. The short man made a few squealing noises as though he were part pig. “I’m sorry ma’am, but the circus does not respond to threats from terrorist organizations.” The Oblivion Master suddenly burst out laughing at what the small man had said. He had to wipe several tiny tears out of his eyes. “You’re calling us terrorists? You kill and eat your audience after they’ve seen the shows, and you’ve been giving us enough trouble already. You killed several caravans while they were on their way to deliver goods to me, and now I’ve discovered that you are harboring certain creatures that are going to end up going on a rampage throughout the surrounding area.” The short man snarled and waddled away. He headed towards the large tent as a horn sounded. The neo-echo looked up at the sun, judging its relative area in the sky in order to tell the time. It was feeding time for the carnival, and this wasn’t going to be pretty. “Damn! We have to get there quickly, it’s going to be a massacre!” Gorin shouted. He sped off towards the large tent as the sounds of animals could be heard, accompanied by the screams of innocent women and children. Nenet and Isis quickly followed the Oblivion Master, neither one wanting to be left behind.

Re: Twisted Carnival. (Oblivion Alliance)
Sorry, I've been grounded. Don't expect me to be too active from now on, either.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Isis ran alongside Nenet, looking at her. "Could Gorin be having relations with her?" the goddess thought, her ideas flying every which way. "Um... why are you staring at me?" Nenet said, with a look of disturbance upon her face. "Oh, no reason. We'd better hurry." They entered the tent to find several people already dead. Their carcasses were ripped asunder, blood strewn into their faces. "Damn it! We're too late!" Gorin shouted as he engaged the first beast. Summoning his favorite Naginta, the echo quickly dispatched it and went onto the next. Isis wasn't faring too well, she was too deep in thought. Nenet was holding her own better than the goddess. The winged woman decided it was time to ask the pirate "it." She drew her breath, then slew the abomination at her side, then with the momentum, killed the one in front. "Nenet, I have to ask you something, uh... how did you and Gorin meet?" "Oh, that's simple, in a bar." "Oh, I uh... see." "He's a great guy, I'm glad to be his girlfriend." Isis dropped her sword at that exclamation, then shouted at Gorin "WHAT?" --------------------------------------- Have fun, kiddies. ![]() |

Re: Twisted Carnival. (Oblivion Alliance)
OoC: ...That was a bit awkward and rushed.
BiC: Nenet glared at Isis. "Now is no time to be mad at me. Shut up, and fight, woman!" Isis stared her down, and felt ready to give Nenet a hard slap in the face. So she did, except Nenet ducked and her hand went pummeling into the wall. "Dammit, Nenet!" "I told you to shut up and fight." Isis grimaced and dashed past Nenet, harshly and purposely banging into her side. Though the pirate couldn't see, an evil grin spread over Isis' face. Nenet swung her leg around and gave Isis a hard bash in the side, immdiatley knocking the wind out of her. Isis gasped, clutching the wall as Nenet proceeded to fight beside Gorin, hacking away. She didn't just do that. Or rather, she's going to wish she didn't. thought Isis. She whipped around, pepared to confront Nenet.

Re: Twisted Carnival. (Oblivion Alliance)
OOC: Meh, thought I’d post so that Gorin has a reason not to interfere with Isis and Nenet’s fight.
BIC: The neo-echo didn’t even notice the tension growing between Isis and Nenet. There was something else that Grasthos had given these people. It was something of horrible energy, and the Oblivion Master had to destroy it before it grew too powerful. He ran through the tent, yelling for his allies to simply continue with what they were doing while he took care of something else. He didn’t have time to deal with all the monsters. “I hope it isn’t too powerful,” thought Gorin. “ My notes, volume thirty five. Section three, article ninteen. I have discovered a way to harness Tainted Element in order to create the perfect non-living weapon. It is a machine that causes one to see all of their greatest fears, at which time they will fall into a dream like state. The problem is that the machine can get too powerful and cause the fears to come true. It works from the lowest fear upwards, and steadily grows more powerful with each person it shows the fears of. If it gets too powerful it will gain its own sentient life force and become a living being with the combined power of every person it has killed. It’s a pity that those circus freaks stole it when I was away. Oh well, they’ll probably die anyway. -Grasthos” Gorin made his way to the back of the tent. The whir of a machine could be heard behind the flap. “Welcome Gorin…” The Oblivion Master swore under his breath. He was too late, the machine had gained a sentient mind. He felt it piercing his mind, forcing him into a dream like state…

Re: Twisted Carnival. (Oblivion Alliance)
Hmm.... Drewey, are you saying I post bad? >:/
... ![]() ------------------------------------------------------- Isis' mind and throat both burned with hatred at this scantily-clad pirate. "Who does she think she is?" the goddess thought, trying in vain to control herself. An idea popped itself into her head, as they often do when you're mad. "You're brainwashing Gorin!" "No I'm not!" Nenet cried back, confusion and anger viewable on her face. "Yes you are! I know that he wouldn't fall for somebody like you! You're just... a witch! That's how you're controlling him!" "Look, how many times do I have to tell you, I'm not doing anything to him!" "Look out!" An axe was swishing straight for Nenet, massive enough to cleave her in twain with a single stroke. "FLARE!" The explosive spell missed, but was close (and powerful) enough to blast the giant wielding the deadly weapon forward, smashing into the wall with a sickening crunch. "Just because I did that doesn't mean we're friends. Just leave." Isis said, leaning down to pick up her sword again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Look, I'm sorry, but my CJs are getting dry. EDIT: And if either of you are wondering, that was one of the carneys that just attacked Nenet. |

2: It’s been five days without a post, and I wasn’t sure if it was because Drewey was busy or because she expected me to post. (I still suck at determining if somebody else expects me to post. )

Re: Twisted Carnival. (Oblivion Alliance)
OOC: No problem, this little part will add fuel to the fire between Nenet and Isis when Isis sees which one of the two Gorin wants the least to die in front of him.
![]() BIC: The neo-echo was surrounded by darkness. He felt however, as though the darkness had several entities hidden within them. One such entity stepped forward. It had white hair, brown and green eyes, and wore black armor. One of the most distinguishing features about it was that it had a large pair of black colored angel wings. “White Light!” roared Gorin. The being that stood before him was none other than White Light, a being that until recently seemed to exist only in the Oblivion Master’s head. The dark doppelganger laughed, blood spurting out of his mouth. He was the physical representation of Gorin’s hatred and sorrow for his former self, back when he had been a terrible monster. “Hello Gorin. How it seems like yesterday that we last met.” “Don’t remind me.” The last time White Light and Gorin had squared off, WL proved to be more than just a twisted hallucination. He had temporarily taken over the neo-echo’s body and forced him to fight against Isis and Erebus. “This ‘Nightmare Wheel’ has so graciously allowed me to come out of my shell. However, he is forced to make your even worse nightmares flash before your eyes first. Then I can have my fun with you.” White Light disappeared from Gorin’s view, leaving behind his maniacal laugh. It was the newly sentient Nightmare Wheel’s turn to torment the Oblivion Master. “You’ll be glad to know that the following nightmares will be seen in the minds of everybody in the surrounding area. Even your little duel personality, White Light will see these.” Gorin looked upwards as a green light began to shine downwards. With it came yet another figure, one that the Oblivion Master had seen too many fake versions of already. “How many fake Grasthos’ am I going to have to kill?” thought Gorin. The figure was yet another image of Grasthos, although this one began to fade away as the Nightmare Wheel realized that the neo-echo wasn’t afraid or angered by the image of his former nemesis. The room flashed and changed from pure black to pure white. This time there were several figures standing in the room. If he hadn’t faced nightmares before, Gorin would have gasped upon seeing the figures. They were his own allies. He was forced to watch as each one was killed in a different way. Latio was torn apart by Tohinka, Rayu, Brolio, and Droz were each killed by one of the three horrors. Toka stepped forward, wielding a large machete. All of Gorin’s other allies were being slain around him while he was helpless to do anything as Toka stepped towards the last two. Nenet and Isis were the last two ones to be slain. The goddess was killed first as she made a failed attempt to fly away. Toka brought his machete down on one of her wings, slicing it off in a bloody splash. While she was down on the ground in a puddle of blood the necromaster decapitated her. Gorin was too transfixed on the horrible sight before him to remember that an image of Nenet was still there. He remembered when he heard her scream. The Oblivion Master was forced to watch as White Light performed the most vile act ever upon her. After he was done the evil doppelganger grabbed her by the hair and lifted her up, holding a knife to her throat. “Even though this is a nightmare, this part’s still fun.” said White Light. As the female pirate uttered one last scream the evil man drove the knife into her throat. Once all of Gorin’s allies had been slain, the Oblivion Master merely remained silent. This angered his doppelganger, which yelled out for him to speak. “Do you honestly believe that I’ll fall for nightmares? You can’t manipulate me with those.”

Re: Twisted Carnival. (Oblivion Alliance)
Oh. My. Gawd. O_o'
--------------------------- Isis just stared. Seeing Latio and the three unknown people get slaughtered in front of her very eyes was bad enough, but this.... Her death was fairly quick, but Nenet's was so long, so drawn-out.... The goddess looked down again. Once before, she had seen the corpses of four warriors, their blood and mangled limbs around her.... that was #2 now. The second she had seen herself fall before that vile pirate, she had dropped her blade, and everything seemed to... melt away. Gorin didn't like her, Isis thought, she was just a pawn to his ways. "He doesn't care about me." she thought. OoC: Isis seems to drop her sword alot, eh? Heh heh. BiC: With Gorin's resounding words, the Nightmare Wheel stopped it's horrible psycological rampage. Even though Isis had seemed to fade back into reality, she was still cut off. Every emotion, anger, hate, love, despair, depression, they all swirled around the winged woman's head like a maelstrom. She could hear, very faintly, as if Gorin was muffled beneath a massive pillow, "Hah! It'll take more than that to break the will of me and my comrades!" His words proved false. Isis slumped to the floor, kneeling as if in prayer. Everything seemed like it was in the third-person. She wasn't in her head anymore, she could see the events playing out from above. The angelic figure closed her eyes and slowly folded her wings around her body, encasing herself from the world. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Aww, how sad. I wonder how Gorin and Nenet will react. :/ |

Re: Twisted Carnival. (Oblivion Alliance)
Sorry it took so long for the reply.
BiC: Nenet gaped in sheer terror at the drawn out death of her figure in Gorin’s dream, as fingers of fear clawed ruthlessly at her stomach. Though it was a dream, it seemed so…real…so tangible…so horrifying… She gripped her head in frustration, sword slipping out of her once-firm hand, as if it was a stick of butter. The clatter it made was like a jolt to the ears, and a strike to the back of the head. Something is not right! Turning around slowly, her eyes widened and locked firmly on Isis. The angel seemed dazed, confused, lost, hurt… Her eyes were glazed over as if in a trance, and face expressionless. Isis’ lips were in a flawless straight line, not even trembling at the edges. She kneeled down with too much perfection, as if she was praying. But she was not, for her wings slowly pulled inwards and shielded her from the world. Could it have been that she died so quickly, she assumed Gorin didn’t care about her? No! She can’t just do this. Gorin… he has to do something, even if he’s mine. He has to make her happy for her own sake. Ignoring all others but Gorin, she dashed up to him, jerked him around, placed her hands on his shoulders, and gave him a firm look in the eye. “Gorin, you have to do something. That nightmare was for you, and she was killed off instantly. Do you know how she translated it? She thinks you don’t care! You… you have to do something, no matter if we’re… you know…” Gulping and feeling slightly nauseated, Nenet clenched her fist and walked away sluggishly to retrieve her blade. And Gorin was torn.

Re: Twisted Carnival. (Oblivion Alliance)
Gorin looked at the goddess. She was using her wings to try and blot out the world, to try and make everything go away.
He knew from experience that doing something like that wasn’t going to help. Doing something like that when he was a small child, having his father seemingly being nonexistent at the time and his mother abandoning him as a baby, helped with creating White Light. Speaking of which, the Oblivion Master suddenly remembered that the nightmare wheel was temporarily making White Light a physical being. That meant that he could cut down any one of them when they weren’t paying attention. “Well Gorin, I didn’t think you had it in you. Soooo evil, breaking a woman’s heart. Why didn’t you do something like kill her, like I tried to do!” It was less of a question and more of simply letting the neo-echo know that his doppelganger was still there. The Oblivion Master snapped out of remembering parts of his past and turned towards his nemesis. He nearly yelled, “Nooo!” when he saw what WL was doing. White Light stood wielding a large two-handed sword. He was copying the fact that Gorin’s enemy Kenjin sometimes used a similar weapon. It wasn’t exactly what he was wielding, but what he was about to do with it that made the neo-echo run towards him. Isis was still in the position she had been in for the past minute or so, and thus she was unable to see that White Light was about to do the exact same thing to her that had happened in Gorin’s nightmare. “If you still had me as your mind this wouldn’t have happened Gorin.” Time seemed to slow down as the dark entity brought his blade down on the goddess. Gorin created a spear and hurled it through the air. The metal weapon flew through the air as though it were an arrow, hitting its mark. White Light howled in pain as the tip of the spear went into his back and came out in his stomach region. Purple blood dribbled out of the wound. “If you try to hurt any of my friends again I won’t stop with temporarily killing you,” warned Gorin. His doppelganger disappeared in a cloud of smoke, laughing and taunting the neo-echo. He knew that White Light wouldn’t heed his warning, and it was only a matter of time before the entity gained control over Gorin again. The Oblivion Master would have to take care of that later, as he had more pressing business at the moment. Gorin parted Isis’ wings. He didn’t pull them apart forcefully as to hurt her but rather, gently so that she knew that he wanted to see her. Tears were streaming down the goddess’ cheeks. The former god couldn’t tell if Isis’ eyes were open or closed, as her hair was drooping over much of her face. He gently lifted her head up and wiped several tears from her cheeks. She opened her eyes and looked at the neo-echo as though he were something she wanted, and was completely unable to achieve. “Isis, that nightmare didn’t mean I don’t care about you. If I didn’t care about you then you wouldn’t have even been in it,” the Oblivion Master explained. “The truth is that I would willingly give up my life to save you, Nenet, Latio, anybody that I care about.” Isis sniffed and tried to hold back her tears. Even though she now knew that Gorin cared about her, she wasn’t able to stop crying. She leaned her head on the former god’s shoulder and continued to cry. Gorin hugged her gently. The hug wasn’t a show of affection but rather, a way to show Isis that he cared about her more than she had thought minutes previously. “How touching, having a little crybaby rest her head on your shoulder,” said a slightly familiar voice. The darkness was beginning to fade away as the wheel ran out of power. “I’ll have you know however, that nightmares have a tendency to come true sometimes. You are quite pathetic to care about beings on a lower level than your own.” The wheel came into view as its power wore off. It was a large wooden wheel with a demonic face painted on it. The reason its power was wearing off became clearer as the darkness continued to dissipate. It was being torn apart by the creatures that the three of them had been fighting previously. They had sensed that their life was dwindling away and attacked the wheel as a means of stopping their life from slipping away. Why they thought that destroying the wheel would prolong their life, none of them ever found out. The demonic machine crumbled into a pile of rubble as the beasts began to die off. Now that the wheel and the twisted circus were taken care of, Gorin and his allies had two different choices. They could either stay for a short while and finish off the remaining carnies and evil clowns, or they could go home.

Re: Twisted Carnival. (Oblivion Alliance)
OoC: Man, you guys are better at capturing Isis' reactions better than I am. :/
--------------------------------------------------------------- When Isis felt the embrace of Gorin, she did all she could do to keep from crying harder. She knew that Gorin didn't like her like that, but something about this whole situation put her at ease. Then, she heard the Nightmare Wheel delivering it's last speech. "Lower level? Hah." the angelic woman thought. She broke Gorin's embrace and stood up. She walked over to Nenet and stood up as tall as she could possibly could without looking akward. Nenet, at first, felt that this was going to be an attack. But Isis smiled and whispered warmly "I'm sure you'll be good for him." In that very sentance, everything began to click in Isis' mind. He couldn't love her, she was going to go away before the year was out. Besides, this pirate was caring enough for him. "So what now?" the winged lady said. The monsters were dying, and the carneys were in disaray. Hundreds of squeaky noises from the noses of cannible clowns could be heard for miles upon miles. "I say that we stick around and make sure that none of these guys are ever a bother to anyone again." Gorin said. --------------------------------------------------------- Ack, weak. I needed this one to progress Isis' storyline a bit. So, let's get to the carney killin'! |

Re: Twisted Carnival. (Oblivion Alliance)
Nenet nodded solemnly, hating to have to stay and fight, even though she knew it was the right thing. Nevertheless, she would stay by Gorin’s side. Unsheathing her blade, she turned it in her hand for a moment, to study it. The golden blade reflected beams of white sunlight into her eyes, and she immediately winced. She then tilted it so it wouldn’t hurt her eyes, turned to Gorin and Isis, and said with a subtle flair, “Let’s do this.”
A grin engrossed on Gorin’s face as he nodded in conformity. Turning towards Isis, he tentatively touched her shoulder. “Ready, Isis?” Isis, feeling slightly better, moved her hair aside with the swift sweep of her hand. She nodded. “It’s a deal, then,” cackled Gorin, heartily. In a euphoric mood, now that everything appeared to be settled, he grabbed both of the women’s hands and lightly brushed his lips against them in a soft kiss. To both of them, the gesture sent a wave a shock. It felt as if spiders were crawling up their arms, and sent shivers down their spines, deviated from sheer pleasure. He smiled—but his countenance was immediately converted to a stony look. A knife was at his throat. OoC: Short but effective, ne? ![]()
