Dire Gauntlet (Latio Scaptur, Scoria)

I'm sick of Usaka being all weak and everything, so I'm going to have him and a few "friends" march through the very bowels of the earth, through dozens of insidious traps/challenges, and so on and so forth.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Usaka was reading up on books of ancient power one day when he stumbled across a small, ripped, and sea-stained piece of parchment wedged inbetween the pages labeled "Jea'ak Island: Fact or Fiction?" The earth warrior read the scrawled text, barely making out the coordinates of "An island were treasures flow like water..." He picked up his sack and stormed out of the library. Unfortunatly, he didn't read what was on the other side. "Beware, I and my friends are the only ones to ever make it out of this ordeal alive. Do not even think about coming, lest you suffer pains beyond what anyone could ever imagine.

~Isaac, 2006"

Seas rocked the tiny boat that Usaka had rented, literally tearing off pieces of wood that were destined to float forever. Suddenly, a wave toar the boat apart in one fell swoop, and sent the warrior flying.

He awoke to the sound of seagulls, and a voice yelling "Hey! I was here first!"

Re: Dire Gauntlet (Latio Scaptur, Scoria)

OoC: Your character page doesn't state what his power are.

BiC:

There came a deep voice only a few feet away, "More ignorant people to bother me."

Usaka was lying on the ground, a grainy, rough texture below him, sand. His head hurt a bit, not much, but it felt as though there was a bruise, "Uh, hello. Who are you?"

"Does that really matter, will it make a difference?"

"Well, no."

"If you must know, I'm Tuariv."

Usaka stood there for a moment, examining this new stranger, quite an odd sight. But what he was doing was what Usaka wanted to know at the moment, "What ar-"

"I was training, until I got interupted."

"And wher-"

"Jea'ak Island, I had hoped for some peace and quiet for training and a bit of relaxing."

OoC: I would join, but I'm in too many battles already, most of them concerning the OA, or are very improtant (Tower of Time).I can't handle six battles at once, but I might join in later.

Scoria is my BA idol.

Re: Dire Gauntlet (Latio Scaptur, Scoria)

OoC: Ok, it's understandable, Latio.

And Scoria, you don't know Usaka's powers? *shakes head* Abstract control over Earth.
---------------------------
BiC: Usaka got up and jumped for joy. Tuariv looked at the warrior like he was on crack or something. Yet Usaka didn't care, he just kept jumping. "OH YEAH!" he yelled. The giant lizard decided that was the final straw and slapped the armored man across the face. "What was that for?" he exclaimed getting back up. "Because you're acting like a freaking idiot, dammit!" Tuariv shot back.
"At least I'm human!"
"Oooh, yeah. Great insult, Cpt. Crack."
"That's it, if you don't want to hear about all the treasure on this island, then screw you!"
Usaka realized how stupid he was the second those words left his lips. "Crap..." the warrior said, hiding it in a breath. Tuariv looked actually excited, and questioned Usaka about it. "There's treasure here? Where?"
"Nunya."
"Come on, you suck at insults! Just tell me and you won't die."
"Shove it up yer' ass."
"That's it."
Tuariv drew his massive sword, as did Usaka. Both prepared to charge.

Re: Dire Gauntlet (Latio Scaptur, Scoria)

OoC: Tuariv wouldn't be all that interested in treasure. That's the trick, to get him to go along.

BiC:

Tuariv gave a quick snort, a tiny amount of smoke billowed from his nose, "At least I can still train, it's a shame that you may die."

"You underestimate me." Usaka replied.

"Don't worry, I won't try to kill you, but sometimes I don't know my own strength." Tuariv taunted.

"That's it!" Usaka yelled as he held up a hand.

The sand below their feet began to twist and move, then suddenly jumped through the air, flying forward at tremendous speed. Tuariv became encased in sand! His face though didn't show any signs of being immpressed, just looking at Usaka. "Is that all?" He asked.

Usakas eye twitched, "Bye bye!" He yelled.

The sand shuddered for a moment, then squeezed Tuariv, he was completely covered head to toe now. Then a blast came, sand flying everywhere. Usaka was forced to cover his eyes, but when he opened them Tuariv was gone. The earth elementalist looked around but there were no signs of him, when out of nowhere Usaka was forced into a full nelson hold by an invisible being.

"Note for the future, nothing is as strong as me."

Re: Dire Gauntlet (Latio Scaptur, Scoria)

"I SO DON'T HAVE ANY FREAKING TIME FOR THIS!" Usaka yelled, squirming in the firm-armed grasp of Tuariv. "LET ME GO!" Tuariv half-laughed, half-snorted and dropped him. The earth elementalist proudly brushed dust off of his gleaming blue armor, and walked straight into a nearby cavern. "What the hell do you think you're doing? That's my training area!" Tuariv bellowed, and ran in after him.

The giant lizard found Usaka standing in front of a stone pillar, over one hundred feet underground. "You won't get past that. It's too big, even for me." he said, sounding sincere. Usaka shrugged and hit the pillar with both palms, sending it flying forward, crashing with a deafening boom, sending shards across the polished floor. "It helps to have a little power." the warrior said, winking. The man then strode off, going down deeper into the cavern.
