Spirits of the Beasts (BA Knights)

OoC: This RPG is for BA Knights only, meaning that only graceful_sheik, Clark Kent, Scoria, Chari, and Quark may post here. In this RPG, our characters will be called on to save a village, and gain some new powers as well. Choose your character wisely.

BiC:

Spirits.

The forces that bind mortals of the realms of the world to the immortal realm of the afterlife. They intertwine, bonding sometimes into stronger creations, sometimes into a weaker creation. But they exist, despite the fact that they can rarely be seen, save for those with control over them.

In a small village in the east, there were such spirits in the village. Spirits of the beasts, that were worshiped in the village as gods. They looked over the village, protecting it from evils that lurked outside the fields of the village.

The panther, black as the night. Its powerful jaws snapped against the evils of the darkness that surrounded the village. Its massive form prowled the territory around the village, silently protecting the people and the livestock.

The owl, wise and fair, watching over the land with its piercing eyes. Its talons attacked all those who dared protect the village, and was the wisest of the Beasts. With its watchful eyes, the young of the village grew safe and smart, and lived their lives in peace.

The wolf, proud and fierce, sought out those of noble heart in the village, and gave to them the knowledge of combat, so that the people of the village could defend themselves. The divinity was fierce, but gentle, the protector of the warriors of the village.

The man, yes, for even a man is a beast inside himself. The man defended the women of the village from those of evil, and was mighty. His was gentle too though, and loved the people of the village with all his immortal soul.

The dragon, but not the ones of myths, a real dragon known as the komodo. Its lizard form breathed life into the newborns of the village, and guided those destined for the realm beyond, when their time came.

And finally, the tiger, powerful and bold. The master of all the other spirits, the white tiger looked on over the village and the spirit gods that protected it, stronger than the others, but useless without their power, for all the six spirits worked as one to keep the peace of the village.

One day, a new person appeared on the outskirts of the village, never actually venturing beyond to the protected village. His face was a mystery, his whole body seemed to ripple with darkness. But as long as he stayed outside the boundaries, he was safe. He moved to the edge of the town with his dark spells and magic.

The children were all warned of him, and were always careful to stay away from him. Rumors spread about the dark person, twisted lies about him, the truth never told, whether or not the person was planning to do anything they never knew.

In the end, the man grew sick, taken from life by the power of evil that flowed through him. Darkness swirled the day he died, and though he was not a member of the village, the spirit gods always did the best they could for a mortal soul. They arrived at the house of the wicked man, to properly guide his soul to the realm beyond.

But the man was ready for them, unwilling to be released from the realm of mortals, and had prepared something for the spirits, who had all arrived in order to properly heal his eternal soul. When the beasts arrived, the man took control of them, invoking dark magic of a most sinister kind, possessing their vessels and gaining their powers.

And so the demon that was once the wicked man took over the gods of the village, who fled when the possessed beasts began to attack the village, destorying all those who had dared to annoy the man who was now a demon.

The people, wanting the spirits appeased and returned to their former states, pleaded for assistance, but none were willing to attack the beasts and cleanse them of the evil that dwelled within their souls now. There was only one person, one person that could do something like this.

And he would be bringing backup.

Kenjin the Encorna sat alone, within the confines of The Green Dragon, the tavern that had seen the beginnings of many adventures, many of which the Encorna himself had partaken in. The ale there was delightful, even to a being that neither needed food or water to live, but merely saw them as comfort.

His massive frame was supported by a wooden chair, for he sat next to a table set for five others beside himself. He had neither told the Knights why they were to arrive nor the expedition that he had found for them. It seemed so long since they had had some good, old-fashioned fun with evil.

On his back, Thenatos glowed in its sheath, trying to defy the Encorna, but Kenjin merely ignored it. As long as he was not touching it, Kenjin was safe from its power, the negative energy that drove against him everytime he used it.

"The Green Dragon does serve the best ale in the world, and I should know," he chuckled lightly, taking a sip from the massive tankard in front of him, feeling the brown liquid run down his throat, savoring the taste.

OoC: Okay, just post once, saying your character reaches the table with Kenjin. When everyone has posted, we will really start.

OoC: I am so sorry I messed up the wolf.

Ooc:I'm using Essence

Ic:Essence walked into the Green Dragon. Essence held a note from Kenjin in her hand. It came in front of her instantly. She read it once more:

Knights,

Please meet me at the Green Dragon Bar in Hyrule.

It was awfully short for a letter from Kenjin. She just came and looked around for the Encorna. Essence soon saw him sitting at a Table with 5 empty chairs. She walked over to sit, noticing he was drinking a massive amount of ale. 'I'm suprised he's not drunk yet' Essence thought. She sat at a chair farthest from the Encorna, not wanting any conversation.

Ooc: About time another one of my characters becomes a part of the BA Knights.

Bic:

The door slammed open as a frightening sight stomped in. A tall grayish skinned beast with glowing yellow eyes, he had a long white sheath on his back where a sword was kept. He also had some sort of gun in a holdster at his side. He stopped and glanced over at the table where the powerful Encorna sat. The beast grunted as he stomped over to the bar. He ordered a mug of their best beer and sat down at a table by himself where no one else was sitting, he pulled out a newspaper as he read to himself.

Kenjin noticed the gordothian, but decided to leave him be for it was what he seemed to want at the moment.

Esence also noticed the unusual being enter, but decided that she probably shouldn't stare and returned to doing nothing.

The bartender and several of the other people in the Green Dragon kept an eye on the newcomer. Most of them didn't worry too much about Kenjin since they had seen them in there before and he hadn't caused to much trouble.

OoC: I'll be using my little thief, Ronin.

BiC:

The theif walked into the town, unsure of where the Green Dragon was, exactly. His letter from Kenjin hadn't exactly given directions.

Ronin,

It seems a village has been terrorized by an evil force. As BA Knights, it is our duty to help these people. Meet me at the Green Dragon, a local tavern.

Kenjin

It wasn't the longest letter ever, but it sure laid down the point. This would be is first mission as a Knight and he wasn't sure what to expect. Just hurry up and find this bar, Notus interrupted. The boy sighed, couldn't that demon have some patience? After a bit of wandering, he finally found a building with a sign that had a dragon painted on it. Ronin couldn't have missed it if he wanted to, not with Notus shouting in his head.

The Green Dragon seemed like a normal bar, with drunks all over the place. However, it wasn't hard to find Kenjin. His power was like a lighthouse. Though, he never expected to find the Encorna drinking. Ronin found it kind of funny, "I'm here."

"Ah," Kenjin said, "Good, only two more to wait for." Ronin took a seat by the black-haired girl. He had never met her but had seen her after the fight with Elrick. Gazing around, he also saw a yellow-eyed creature sitting not too far away. It looks like it would be a bad idea to pick a fight with him.

"Wasting my training time to meet with Kenjin and the others, hmph." Tuariv muttered to himself.

His cyrstal claymore that was strapped to his waist attempted to fight Tuariv with all its might, the lizard simply pressed forward against it. Tuariv took a deep breath of the fresh air of Hyrule, it had been quite a while since he had stepped foot on its lands, what with the large amounts of training the warrior put in everyday.

He passed through the crowds, nobody seemed to care for strange oddities anymore, all Hyrulians seemed to have seen enough to think Tuariv as a normal being, like a man.

Tuarivs eyes wandered around before resting upon the one place he had been to all to often in the past, The Green Dragon. Warriors of all types seemed to just happen to be in this one place every time Tuariv set foot in it, as if it were a miniture Dome. Quests, fights, you name it, its started from this point.

The large warrior stepped through the door, the inn seemed less gloomy that it had in the past, significantly brighter and filled with more decent people who were looking for either food, a place to sleep, or a drink. Rather than some drunk looking to steal money, cheat in a game of cards, or simply want to fight any random guy at any random table. That doesn't mean one wasn't in there though.

Tuariv floated around before spotting the Knights, he quietly moved over to them and took a seat, "Welcome Tuariv." Kenjin said.

Tuariv just gave a snort, a bit of smoke flying out of his nosrtils.

ooC: I guess I'll use Krush, until my other characte r gets created and if I decide I want Redstar in the Ba...

BiC:

Krush ran as fast as he could across the land, avoiding all the trees and rocks that stood in his path. Im assuming this will lead to the green dragon, that portal must have been a shortcut or something Krush thought as he ran by lon lon ranch.

Krush had just arrived in Hyrule by accident and had to leave. "Oh well, I will return here later, I never thought the BA would get ahold of me so easily" Krush thought as he thought of the note Kenjin sent him:

Dear Krush,

This is Kenjin leader of the BA knights, since you are a member we require your help with this task. I need you to meet us at The Green Dragon.

Kenjin

Krush just got through the woods when he saw it on the far west. The village with the Tavern. Krush dashed forward at incredible speeds.

"I cant wait, my first BA mission, I wonder what it will be..." Krush thought as he stopped at the doors.

Krush walked in and noticed Kenjin, along with Tuariv, and several others at a nearby table. Krush walked over and sat down at the table to see what the matter was...

"It's nice of you all to join me, I have some news," Kenjin replied, drinking his ale. "But first, we are missing someone. Someone rather interesting that I have taken the liberty of manipulating into coming here. As neither Sin nor Dark could be here, I wanted someone powerful to arrive here, as I felt where we are going, we will need it."

"Why are we here Kenjin?" Tuariv asked in annoyance. "You always do this."

"What have I told you about patience?" the Encorna asked the lizard, playing with his voice to make Tuariv sound like a woman, a power he had once acquired but had never really used. "Anyway, Surge, could you kindly join us?" He rose his voice to the point where the strange man standing by the bar could hear.

The giant turned around very slowly, almost making a point to be so dramatic, before turning around to face the Encorna, who was calmly sitting in his chair, completely at peace. "What do you want?" he hissed, taking a step towards the table.

"Well, I was hoping you were up for a rather interesting challenge," he muttered back, pulling up a chair for Surge with his giant arm. "That is, if you think you're up to it. Depending on the outcome, you could grow in strength."

"Strength you say?" he asked, grinning at the thought for more power. "If it's as powerful as you make it seem, I will come with you."

"Very good," Kenjin replied, as Surge sat down. "Now then, the reason I have asked you all here is very simple. We are going on a mission to save a village."

"Seriously?" Nonin asked, his ears perking up.

"Yes indeed Ronin," Kenjin replied, taking a sip of ale. "This village seems to be under attack by guardian spirits, so we are going there to cleanse them."

"What's the point of this?" Tuariv asked.

"Simply put, we will have to make some sacrifices," Kenjin replied. "There are six spirits, one for each of us. We will battle these things, and we will have to do what is needed. We will need to absorb the spirit power into ourselves in order to soothe them. A beast for each of us, one of the tiger, owl, wolf, panther, the komodo dragon, and the human. We will have to take them into us to pacify them."

"I want you to stay here for a while," he muttered, standing up. "I have some business to take care of before we leave. Do whatever, just don't leave. I'll be back soon."

With that, he vanished, moving at high speeds to wherever.

OoC: Okay, here's how this is going to work. There will be no set order, but you have to wait until after two people post before you can post again. I'll be back soon, so don't worry. This is mostly to get Surge into the Knights.

Krush looked around the tavern in awe. A group of patrons played poker in the corner, a guy and a girl were flirting, and several cloaked figures talked silently through their hoods.

Krush's thoughts then returned to reality. I could get more power by doing this... I wonder what it will be, stronger strength, faster speed, maybe a new ability! Krush thought exitetedly. He then turned to his left and faced Tuariv.

"Hey Tuariv, didnt think Id see you so soon again!" Krush said happily.

"Yeah, the town is still a wreck, and guess whos top on cleaning it!" Tuariv joked as he swallowed some of the ale in front of him.

Krush then noticed one of the poker guys leave the table, flat broke. He smiled and walked over.

"Okay partner, hook me up!"Krush said to the dealer as he put out at least 100$ on the table.

The dealer gave him two aces, one jack and two threes. Krush then read the dealers mind.

Okay I have a pair of twos now....maybe I can get something on my next hit... the dealer thought.

Krush then hit and got another ace. A full house and a sure victory awaited Krush! the dealer then drew.

Alright three of a kind, lets see this kid beat that! the dealer thought as he layed his cards down.

Krush then threw down his full house and gathered all the money on the table.

"Hehehe, good game old man, but I gotta go!" Krush said as he left an awe inspired dealer behind...

Surge took turns examining each of the BA Knights that surrounded him at the table, "What is the Encorna thinking?" he thought silently in his head, "A Superhuman, a lizard man, a young boy, and an even younger girl. What an odd bunch."

Surge decided to keep quiet; there was no need to talk to these people. He knew that after this mission he would have no need to be with these people unless they saw that he would be useful again.

Ironically, as soon as he decided this Essence decided to talk to the new person at the table since everyone else was keeping to themselves or doing other things, "So, Surge is it?"

Surge looked over at her, a little angery that his silence was interupted, "Yes." he growled.

"So what can you do?" she asked happily.

Surge sat up, cracking his neck, "I kill." he replied simply, "Usually in a painful way such as stringing their intestines through their nostrils." he finished gruesomly.

Essence flinched, a little disgusted, "I mean what are your skills and abilities?"

Surge chuckled, "You will see."

Tuariv looked over Surge, he doesn't look very impressive. Then he turned his gaze to Krush, then again neither did you.

The krptonian had been reading Tuariv mind, and gave a chuckle to the last statement by the hulking warrior. Tuariv had had a feeling about what Krush had been doing, "Just stay out of my head or you'll regret it."

"It's fun though," was how Krush simply replied.

"Just don't do it."

Tuariv made his way over to the front bar and sat down on a stool, "I'll take a pint of ale."

The bartender, with a scraggly mustache, cocked an eyebrow, "That's quite a bit don't you think?"

"I can handle my liquor." Tuariv replied as he placed a couple blue rupees on the bar.

The bartender took the rupees and ducked down below the bar, grabbed a mug and then reappeared, walked over to a keg and filled the mug to the top, then returned to Tuariv. "Thanks." The lizard said as he picked it up and took a few sips, "What do you have to eat?"

"A new exotic food called... pizza."

Tuariv took a moment to think about it, "Sure I'll try it. What is it?"

"Bread with tomatoe sauce and cheese on it, cooked in an oven."

A few minutes passed, and Tuariv was on his second pint, showing no signs of drunkenness, the bartender handed him a triangle shaped piece of food, no doubt this 'pizza'.

"Hey that's good." Tuariv said as he took a bite.

OoC: Now to go and eat pizza in real life.

"Warrior, you have come."

The Encorna reappeared next to the post office, which often doubled as a search place for fighters willing to take on missions. The man waiting for him was dressed in grey garb, with bright yellow hair.

"Of course, you are dealing with Knights," Kenjin replied. "I am always happy to help those in need, provided it was something of interest."

"It is Encorna," the man replied. "Our beast gods were possessed by an evil man, we require fighters to defeat and release the souls of these beasts, or else they will destroy the village we live in."

"This was going to be difficult, but fortunately, I have a solution," Kenjin answered. "I have assembled five other fighters to recapture the spirits you spoke of. We will handle things, though I cannot promise that they will be spared."

"I understand," the man bowed. "We mean only to assist the beasts to their true resting place."

"I have different plans for them," the Encorna replied, explaining his plan. None of the other Knights were to know what he was going to do with them. The human spirit, the tiger spirit, the panther spirit, the wolf spirit, the owl spirit, and the dragon spirit, would all be his, to add to the powers of the Knights he had summoned.

Krush swallowed the ale that lay in front of him. It tasted like ground up berrys with wood chucks and pepper, but Krush was so thirsty that he didnt even care. He then leaned over and talked to surge.

"Hey big guy, whats happenin?" Krush said politeley.

"Go away human, Im busy here!" Surge said as he swallowed a gulp of wine. Krush watched in amazement as he drank at least four cups without becoming intoxicated. Krush then turned around and noticed a guy dressed like the little kids in the woods walk in.

The man wore a green tunic, with a green hat, had a sword and shield on his back, and had a fairy following him. The man merely whispered something to the bartender, and handed him an envelope with a cow stamped on it.

Krush managed to to hear the last part of the conversation:

"Oh its from Malon! Im glad she's okay, tell her daddy says hi!" the bartender said as the odd dressed man walked out.

Krush then turned around and leaned on the table. What on earth is taking Kenjin so long? Krush wondered.

Surge pulled out his blaster and began to play with it in his hands, getting a little bored.

"What's that?" Ronin asked, noticing the odd thing Surge was messing with.

Surge smiled and tossed it across the table, "You can figure it out for yourself." the gordothian stood to his feet and went to the bar to see something that smelled all too familiar.

Ronin proceeded to examine the device in his hand; the technology was like something he had never seen before.

The smell that smelt so familiar to Surge was the pizza Tuariv was currently indulging himself in.

"Pizza?" Surge said amazed, he didn't realize that it was that old. He had it once before on an attack on earth. He blew down a pizza hutt and tried a piece, he enjoyed it surprisingly well.

"Pizza." Surge said as he sat down at the stool at the bar.

"Yes sir!" The bartender nodded as he left to get the slice of heaven.

Ooc: Ok Shot, anytime your ready this thing can begin.

OoC: I had to post after that.

BiC: Ronin examined the weapon Surge had given him. It was something he had never seen, even Notus didn't know what to make of it. Probably some kind of weapon, the thief decided. Finally, his finger wrapped around the trigger. Wondering what would happen, he pulled it. Good thing he had it pointed at the ceiling or there would have been a hole in his head instead of the roof.

Nice job, Notus snorted as Ronin quickly hid the blaster in his lap, hoping no one had realized it was him.

The black-haired girl, Essence, giggled at him, "You'd better be careful with that." The thief only nodded. He walked up to the gordothian, who was now eating pizza, and handed the blaster back.

"Already done with it?" Surge asked with a smile.

"Uh...yeah," Ronin said stiffly, really praying no one was interested in who shot the ceiling.
