Somethings coming today... (1 to 2 vs 1)

OOC: This will be the first of a short series of battles. The series, dubbed "Here it comes, there it goes" will be a series of different battles. The first one is a 1 or 2 vs 1 battle, the next one will be two vs two, then a quest style battle with anybody that participated in the first two battles.

BIC: "So this is the temple?" thought Gorin. He was trying to find the fabled "Key to the heavens". Such an artifact was said to have enough power to tear holes between dimensions.

If he found the key, he would have to activate the door nearly 200 miles away. Once the door was activated all he would have to do is go through the portal.

He didn't quite know why he wanted this ability, but the challenge of completing the tasks needed to gain it was good enough for him. The echo suddenly heard the crunch of a footstep on snow.

The sound echoed across the mountain. Gorin had nearly forgotten that the temple was overlooking a cliff. The fall from the cliff would be very, very bad for anybody who lost their footing.

Another crunch, this one closer. The person was getting closer. Gorin prepared for battle...

OOC: As I said, either one vs one or two vs one (Depending on the power of the characters). Gorin being the one.

Ooc: I'll join, I might use Sin since he's pretty much my best character. And because you abandoned Ziran and we probably won;t finish that other fight.

Bic:

Another crunch in the snow echoed throughout the mountains and it drove Gorin mad, there was no sign of anyone nearby. But then he noticed the footprints. A row of footprints leading to directly in front of him, but no body. Gorin swiped through the air at where the person should have been standing, but the swords hit nothing. An evil cackle vibrated throughout the snowy landscape.

"Oblivion master," he chuckled again, "leader of the Oblivion Alliance." Sin hadn't foguht Gorin that much if at all in a while, he was usually beside him in some sort of quest. It looked as if things changed now.

Gorin smirked, recognising the unmistakable voice, "You're very bold Sin, I give you credit for that," Gorin searched the sky, know that Sin would most likely be floating, "but you are stupid to dare challenge me." Gorin finished.

"Do not forget Gorin that I am now a BA Knight, trained by the Encorna himself." Sin's voice didn't seem to come from anywhere in particular. It was as if he was moving.

"What do you want, Sin? A fight?" Gorin grumbled, getting bored of Sin's games.

"All I want is whatever it is you are searching for," Then he said in a little more crazed hunger tone, "and I wouldn't mind bringing your head to Kenjin after I eat your brains." he paused, "Of course there would be no more fun in being a BA Knight anymore since their main rivals would be defeated, So out of the graciousness of my heart I will let you live." Sin chuckled sarcastically.

"Enough talk, show yourself and let this fight begin."

"We're not too different, you and I." commented Gorin. He knew that Sin was similar to both himself and Kenjin in that he enjoyed a good coversation during battle.

"Oh really? And why do you say that?" came Sin's voice. The dark being was starting to materialize in front of the Oblivion Master.

"We are both of elements. You have the darkfire abilities, while I have the echo abilities." replied Gorin. The echo decided to finish his statement before Sin could reply.

"As far as I know, you don't have blood or organs. I am the physical incarnation of the former Gorin's soul, meaning that I have no blood or organs."

Sin had fully materialized by now, and unsheathed his own swords. What was Gorin getting at?

"Why does any of this matter?" he asked. The dark being knew that the fight was on after Gorin's answer, and prepared himself.

"Why do you obey one such as Kenjin? Beings like yourself and I have ascended higher than physical bodies. I could have my head lobbed off, and my body burned to ashes. I would still return somehow or another, and I'm sure you would as well. My point is, why not join somebody who's more like you than your current leader?"

OOC: Ooo, *Star Wars music plays*

Ooc: *Darth Sideous' theme to be more accurate*

Bic:

Sin thought about this for a second, he knew that was true. Gorin was in fact much like himself, he had also thought that Kenjin was weak in the fact that he showed mercy to those who he said "deserved" it. But Kenjin was a much better fighter than he was, and he knew that if someone was stronger than him than he would have to ally himself with them so he could learn their every secret. Then when the time was right, he would rise against them knowing their every secret and weakness.

Gorin sensed how Sin was second guessing his alliance, "Join me Sin, we will together rise against Kenjin and become the ultimate power in the world." Gorin smirked.

Sin laughed his usual dark laugh, "Me join you? It should be you joining me!" Sin's body set aflame with Darkfire.

"Suit yourself," Gorin growled, "It's the last mistake you will ever make."

Sin soared toward his target blasting balls of flame toward Oblivion Master, his BA Knight medalion hanging about his neck.

The flames sped towards the Oblivion Master, their creator not far behind. Gorin created a rapier, something he wanted to try out since seeing Latio.

"Hmm, the Encorna hasn't told you about my powers yet?" asked Gorin. The balls of flame were about to hit him.

"No, but he doesn't have to. I know I can beat you." replied Sin. Deep down, he knew that the Oblivion Master was no weaker than Kenjin. He could still get a kick out of this fight though.

The flame balls finally hit the echo, covering him in an explosion of flaming doom. Sin flew through the smoke and slashed at where Gorin had been.

"Now now," Sin felt a thin blade prick his BA Knight medallion from his neck. "I thought he'd at least let you know that I can absorb elements from the enviroment. Those flames were mine the minute they left you and entered the air."

Gorin was standing behind the dark being, his entire frame ablaze. He was looking at the medallion, taking note of the material from which it was made.

"Tell me, what has Kenjin told you about me? Is he planning anything?" The Oblivion Master was sure that the Encorna had either already done something, or was planning on doing something to Nenet.

"That's none of your business now, is it Gorin?" replied Sin. He turned around to face the echo. Rather than covering his body, the flames seemed to be a part of his body, like hair.

"Meh, it was worth a try." Gorin flicked the medallion over his shoulder, making sure that he heard it clang off the side of the cliff.

"Now let's continue." said Gorin. The Oblivion Master created twin longswords.

Sin ignored Gorin's disrespect of his medalion, he could find it as soon as the fight was over. He wouldn't be needing it anyway, "Gorin, Gorin, Gorin." Sin chuckled shaking his head as he walked closer, "I am the only one who can control Dark fire; it cannot be used by anyone else, Neither can it harm me. You may have absorbed it but..." Gorin felt the fire he absorbed blast him back like something odd he had never felt before, "... but technically, darkfire never was supposed to be an element. Therefore you cannot absorb it."

Gorin chuckled as he stood, his whole front torn up and burning. His clothes magically sealed back up to full, "Fool."

Sin smiled, "I'm glad you think so, when it gets to insults you know that your opponant hates something about you, one may be that I am simply a member of the BA Knights, another may be that I have apower you will never have, and each day I grow stronger with that power, you have seen only a taste of it, now you will only get a sample of the rest."

Sin's swords flew ahead by themselves as Gorin jumped over them, but the weapons came back forcing Gorin to turn and defend from them with his rapier. Right as he did so Sin fired two balls of darkfire at the echo's back. Gorin spawned a sword much similar to a bustersword behind him as it fell, but blocked the fireballs.

Sin smirked, it took almost no energy for him to use darkfire so he continued to fire hundred of fireballs. Gorin couldn't stand and fight the weilderless swords forever, he jumped to the side, a fireball catching him in the leg. He rolled as he hit the ground and absorbed energy from the earth as he prepaired his next attack. He fired a small boulder from his hands, it soared throught the air directly toward sin, but it simply flew throguh his chest and out the other side. Sin laughed, the only part anyone could touch was his head.

"You know what many people hate about fire?" asked Gorin. He created a large sheild and proceeded to block fireballs with it. The area around him seemed to vibrate slightly as the echo used a power he usually found to be boring.

Sin moved towards Gorin, not noticing that a wave of snow from the mountaintop was building up behind him. All he cared about was the fact that the Oblivion Master was on the defensive.

"Oh really, what is that?" replied Sin. He started to build up a large ball of darkfire in his hands. The echo would be unable to block this, as it would simply fold around his defensive tool and burn him.

"The fact that it takes so long to charge up a large attack, and it can be extinguished so easily." replied Gorin. It was then that Sin noticed a drop of water drip on his head.

The dark being turned around to find a large wave of snow and ice, simply standing where it was. Almost as soon as Sin saw the wave of snow and ice, it lurched towards him.

"Damn." said Sin. He could use the fire attack on Gorin, but then he would be momentarily buried in the freezing elements and the echo would have several clear shots at his head.

Instead, Sin used the fire attack on the ice and snow wave. The hiss of the solid forms of water evaporating could clearly be heard as the fireball collided with the wave.

"You fool!" laughed Gorin. The Oblivion Master grabbed Sin by the back of the head while he was preoccupied with the snow and ice wave.

"You should know not to turn your back on an opponent, especially me!" Gorin rammed Sin into a section of a nearby rockwall, creating a small crater.

Gorin lifted Sin again and rammed his head in four more times before throwing him into the air. Gorin grabbed a boulder and threw it upwards towared the sky as it collided directly with Sin's head, knocking him off the side of the cliff. Gorin walked close to the edge, "All too easy," He looked around at the base of the mountain, there lay Sin.

Sin rolled on the ground to look back up at the oblivion master, he had a slight headache, but it shouldn't last much longer. He still had plan. What Gorin didn't know was the whole time he was beating the crap out of Sin, Sin was charging a mega ball of Darkfire. He hid it in his sleave so he couldn't see and it worked, "Dodge this." Sin whispered to himself as he blasted the mega ball of energy.

From Gorin's standpoint he couldn't see what was happening, all he saw was a black ball that appeared to get bigger, "Oh snap!" Gorin shouted as he noticed it was a ball of darkfire energy. He pulled out his shield to block it but it didn't hit him, it hit the ground by his feet, "You missed!" Gorin spat.

"Look again." Sin said quietly although it echoed throughout the mountain.

Gorin looked down at his feet to see the mountain give way, cause him to fall in a small avalanche. He hit his head hard on something, dazing him.

The pile of snow and Gorin collided with the ground in a loud bang.

"Ok Oblivion master, show me what you've got." Sin spat as Gorin blasted up out of the snow and rocks.

"You made a big mistake Sin." Gorin growled.

Now the temple was in ruins. It had come down with the rockslide, and was now buried under several feet of snow, ice, and rocks.

"It'll take a lot longer for you to find your medallion." commented Gorin. The echo cracked his knuckles, something he did quite a bit.

"It'll take you longer to find whatever it was you were looking for." replied Sin. The two warriors circled eachother, looking for a weakness in the other's defense.

"You know, I'm a much more lethal fighter now that more wind is hitting us and we're closer to the ground." said Gorin. Indeed, both warriors felt a heavier breeze than when they were on the mountain.

"That just makes it more fun." replied Sin. Enough chit chat, the fight was continuing.

Gorin stood with his arms crossed as the dark being charged towards him. The echo had a look of utter dissastisfaction on his face as Sin brought his blades against him.

"So easy to fool..." muttered Gorin. Just then the ground under Sin morphed into a large hand. It grasped the dark being and held him in the perfect position for Gorin to strike...

Sin hated to use his fazing ability but it had to be done, he fazed through the hand as Gorin's sword smashed it into countless pieces. Gorin didn't stop there, he grabbed Sin by the face who didn't see it coming, and he flung him over his shoulders. As soon as he did, he twirled around and jumped in the air, slamming both of his fists into the Dark warriors head, sending him smashing into the ruins and snow like a meteorite. He left a large crater where he landed.

Gorin knew he should give him a chance to get back up, he jumped in the air once more and called upon the element of ice, trapping Sin in the ice around him. Before he could faze from it, Gorin's feet pummeled his head into the ground. Relentlessly, Gorin punched and battered the Dark fire wielder’s head. Sin called his swords back to him which stabbed directly through Master of Oblivion's shoulders; they stuck straight through and out the other side.

Gorin shouted a war cry as he prepared to deliver a devastating blow into Sin's head, he was successful. But at the same time the fist connected with Sirius' skull, Sin used his dark powers to send his swords flying as far away as possible, with Gorin still attached.

As Sin plummeted through the air, he didn't have time to fly to safety. He slammed into the Cliffside and collapsed to the ground.

He shook the pain from his head and opened his eyes. There lay his BA Knight medallion laying not two feet from his head, "What a coincidence." Sin chuckled as he grabbed the sword shaped object.

He thought back to when Kenjin had given it to him. He knew that he only joined the BA knights to grow stronger, but he even so he felt there was some pride to his medallion. He sucked the medallion up his sleeve to conceal it from Gorin's eyes who was now visible on the horizon. Sin contacted the power of his swords as they flew to him from somewhere far behind the oblivion master. Gorin heard the whizzing of the two swords and performed a backward summersault as the sword spun under his feet and into Sin's awaiting arms, "You cannot withstand the might of Sirius Amon Moris!" Sin closed his eyes and found something he was surprised returned to him so quickly, the power he had long forgotten. The power to control the elements, "It must have been that conk on the head." he jokingly thought to himself.

Contacting the power of water, he silently created hidden ice spears close behind Gorin. He didn't want Gorin to see his power over other elements for the element of surprise is the best element of all.

Gorin focused his powers on the cliff overlooking Sin. The whole thing would come down on the dark being, and the echo would be rid of his annoyance for the time being.

Little did he know, Sin had an attack prepared as well. The ice spears continued to grow in number behind the Oblivion Master.

When Gorin was less than twenty feet away from Sin, both warriors unleashed their attacks at once. A grand rockslide fell towards the dark being with a deafening smashing sound.

The ice spears stabbed into the echo from several angles, pinning him to the ground as he groaned in pain. No blood came from the echo, but he still felt pain.

Gorin growled and a cracking noise echoed throughout the mountain area. The Oblivion Master broke himself off from the ground, leaving the spears stabbed into the dirt.

If he had blood or organs, the echo would be in serious trouble. Instead, he simply felt incredible pain.

"Far from what I felt in Echo Side though..." he thought. The echo noticed a small object glinting in the sun. It was the key!

Gorin stalked over towards the object that he had fought for. It's golden frame reflected the sights of Gorin's surroundings. After pocketing the object, sticking it in a void between his physical and etheral soul to be exact, the echo turned towards the mound of rock.

Sin was likely to be coming out of there any second, no matter. Gorin got what he had come for, and he didn't have to humor the Encorna's henchman.

"You know that the Encorna's keeping a close eye on your power Sirius." said Gorin. The dark being wasn't used to being called by his actual name.

"He'll let you grow in power, but he'll moniter it to make sure you never grow more powerful than him. Keep these words in mind, they may save your life one day."

Gorin began to walk off into the distance.

OOC: You can continue the battle if you want.

Sin rose from the snow and cracked his neck. He could have left it at a tie then and there, but a tie would not satisfy his blood thirsty soul, "He may monitor my strength," Sin laughed, "But there is no way he can stop it from growing!" Sin chuckled as he felt his elemental powers flowing through him. Should he take on Gorin or wait for another time? There would always be another time. "Someday, someday soon. Sooner than anyone would think, the world will be in my control." Sin informed, setting his feet gently upon the ground.

Gorin listened as he continued to walk.

Sin's mind flashbacked to the time he fought against Gorin in one of the oblivion wars, and he remembered how it ended. "Remeber that army I told you about, Gorin? The one I had lost?"

Gorin stopped in his tracks, he remembered at the end of the same battle how Sin warned him of this invincible army he spoke of.

Sin smirked, "I found it."

Ooc: You may continue if wished or may leave it at that.

Gorin whipped around to face Sin, flinging a black knife at the dark being's feet. The knife had several glowing runic symbols, but seemed to be dull.

"What's this?" asked Sin. The Oblivion Master turned back around, but replied before leaving.

"I give those to people whom I wish to ally myself with in the future." replied Gorin. With that, the echo continued on his way.

Sin picked up the knife and examined it. It seemed to have an aura similar to that which his medallion held, although very different...

OOC: Dunn dunnnn dunnnnn! Sorry for the shortness.

Ooc: Good fight, it seems most of my fights end in "ties," but hey I don't mind. It's cool! I like the ending, if it was a movie I would say, "Leaves it open for a sequal."

OOC: Indeed, it leaves it open for a sequal and a spin off. Since Sin is one of the people Gorin has given one of those knives to, he will be one of the people in a quest style battle later on.

Sin can also be in the next, and final one in the series (I decided to merge the second an third ones into a single battle).

The next one "It's almost here" will start out as a four person free for all, but will change into a quest style battle.
