Rose Petals(Invite Only)

OOC: Shrub, graceful_sheik, Marius, and Hyrulian Hero have been invited to join this, and them only. It's going to be in Mortogh, you can get an explaination about that in my character fic, Childhood Dreams. I'll be using Kichaa Mesoa and Essie Brashe, there isn't a limit on character use.

BiC:

"I need a new sword," Kichaa told the blacksmith. The man was working steadily with no signs of stopping, as he had been for nearly the hour Kichaa had been waiting, and merely grunted at Kichaa- probably to signify he'd heard him- before finishing the horseshoe he was working on.

After finishing the shoe, he looked at Kichaa and answered, "I make items out of iron, steel, titanium, and silver. You provide the materials and pay me, and I'll make yer weapon."

Kichaa's mind went blank. He had to get the ore himself? "But I don't know where to get that."

"Theres an iron mine due south o' here, coal can be bought at the market if you need steel- which I can make for yer," he added before continuing, "But I don't rightly know where to get titanium ore. You'd have to figer that out on yer own."

Kichaa left, slightly disappointed, thinking over what the smithy had told him. He'd ask Essie if she knew anything about titanium. She seems to know everything about the geography in Mortogh, he thought to himself.
_____

Essie and her crew were enjoying their trip to the city. Not often did they come off the sea longer than a day or two, so the men went wild, but Essie really loved grass. She always had, so it was an automatic when she went shore-side to ask where there was a grassy area, and that's where Kichaa found her. Sleeping soundly on the thick grass, Kichaa wondered at how easy it would be for someone to hurt her, but the fear was dispelled when he remembered the time he'd woken her up before. She'd tried to kill him before catching herself.

Standing back a ways, Kichaa called to her, "Essie. Essie, wake up."

She blinked her eyes slowly, her pretty face puckering a bit at the prospect of being woken, and replied, "Hi Kichaa, what's wrong?"

How does she do that? Kichaa wondered to himself. She could always tell his feelings, something that was a bit strange to him.

"I went to the blacksmith in town."

She smiled at him, now sitting with her legs beneath her, "And?"

"And I need to find the ore myself," he finished.

"Oh! There's so many mines around here, you'll have no trouble finding what you want, I'm sure!" she told him enthusiastically, then began railing off the locations of mines and what they produced, ".... and there's that mythical titanium mine up in the mountains, but no one's found that one..."

Kichaa's ears had found what his mind was looking for. He stopped her abruptly, "Wait, where is this legendary titanium mine?"

"Well, from the shipyard at Torra- Ramon's capital," she wasn't sure if Kichaa knew where that was, but he nodded, "It's supposedly a five day's ride into the mountains. That's all anyone knows really."

Kichaa was already deep in thought. He knew enough about the mountains to know that wild werewolves and renegade tribes were common, and that they would be in a lot of danger.

"Essie, would you mind taking a leave of absence from the sea for a while?" he asked, "I think I want to find this mine."
_____

Three days later Essie, Kichaa, and her crew landed at the port in Callo Vore, a large city south of Torra. They put in at Callo because the mercenaries and warriors to be found there were usually among the toughest in Mortogh, some of them Tribals, and they needed help. The crew of the Soarline was great in ship-to-ship battles but on land they were squeamish, reckless, and a bit too rash to be trusted- just what you'd expect from a 'landlubber' on the sea.

The place's economy relied so much on mercenaries that they even had halls dedicated to the purpose, and they were the hubs of activity in the town. Essie and Kichaa entered one of the smaller halls, one Essie was familiar with, and posted their wanted. The hall worked like an employment office, in that a mercenary came in, asked for a job, and the job at the top of the list was given, along with directions to the rendevous. Essie had given the Soarline as the place of meeting, and had asked for only the bravest, all that was left was to go back to the ship and wait for the first.

Re: Rose Petals(Invite Only)

OoC: For once, I’m only going to use one character. *Gasp* Yes, I’m going to use Amounet and only Amounet. Her profile is in my sig.

BiC: “Hey, you got any jobs in?” inquired Amounet as she stared stiffly at the male empolyer, whom hadn’t taked his eyes off her chest since the moment she had walked into the office. He looked about in his late thirties with his brown hair turning gray and a rough unshaved chin. He was sitting with his dirty boots up on a cluttered desk. He also smelled like a dog that had been left out in the rain. His raised, what was probably supposed to be, a seductive, gray eyebrow at her. The elf felt like puking in his face.

“What’s a sweet thing like you doing here?” he asked, grinning at her, showing his yellow teeth. The sight made Amounet want to gag.

“I think I made it obvious, sir,” snarled the female warrior. Her amythest eyes narrowed dangerously. “I wanted to know if there were any jobs in.”

Her tone only seemed to provoke him. “Oh, but what would such a nice little girl like you be doing here. This is men’s work.”

Little girl? If Amounet’s feathers hadn’t been ruffled enough, she might as well have been a distressed cat that was about to sink its claws into anything nearby. “Just tell me what the damn jobs are!” she exclaimed. The man shifted his feet off of the desk surface and stood up from his seat. The elf fingered the hilt of her knife attached to her sash.

“Okay, okay, there’s something about a legendary titanium mine,” he confessed as he took a few steps closer to the elf. Amounet gripped her blade’s handle. “They have asked for only the bravest …”

The elf’s peircing stare narrowed even more as her lips thinned. “Where are they meeting?”

The man took a few steps closer to the dark-haired elf. He gave the same disgusting grin as before and said, “I’ll tell you if you do a little something for me.”

That was the last straw for Amounet. She whipped out her knife and pressed it closely to the dirty skin of his neck. His eyes flew wide open once he felt the cold steel against his flesh. “How about you tell me and I won’t kill you where you stand?”

The elf was storming away from the office, with directions to Soarline buzzing in her head. That was the fifth time that had happened to her that day. Ugh … I hate men … such disgusting bastards. Amounet made her way through the streets, keeping her knife close in case any thugs from the allies would try to mug her. Eventually she came to the harbor, the sea of the sea reached her nose and fresh air was a lot more abundant than in the crowded city. Her purple eyes scanned the boats for one called Soarline. When she spotted it, she could see two people standing next to it on the docks. One was a woman and the other was a man. Amounet made a face at the idea of walking over there. Men weren’t exactly her kind of people, but at least there was a female with him. Making up her mind, she strode over to the girl with a bright smile. She tried her best to ignore the male next to her side.

The female had brown hair and wonderful green eyes. She wore a blue tunic that was more like a sort of skirt. She had knee-high boots on her legs and brown leather gloves on her hands. Amounet tried to not look at the man next to her, but from what she could see from the corners of her eyes he had a lot of dark armor. Well … isn't that lovely … thought Amounet sarcasticly.

“Hey,” greeted the elf, still avoiding looking over at the man. “I’m Amounet Greenstone, I heard about your job.”

OoC: Hooray!

Re: Rose Petals(Invite Only)

OoC: Okey dokey, I'll use Ronin for this little adventure.

BiC:

The salty taste of the ocean traveled on the light sea breeze, eventually reaching the face of a small thief. His unruly green hair fluttered in the wind. Ronin truly enjoyed the sea, one of the few things that made him feel comfortable. However, there was always someone to ruin that.

Would you stop gawking, a malevolent voice echoed inside the boy's head. It was that of the wind demon, Notus. I thought you came here to get some food and to get away from the priests.

Ronin sighed, Can't I take some time to enjoy something? No matter what he did, the demon was never happy with him, unless it was letting him attack someone. But Notus did have a point, the boy needed to steal to buy food and supplies. His stomach suddenly growled, as if agreeing with the demon. The only question was where to find an easy person. The thief's trained eyes scanned the piers until they set on one ship. Three people, two women and man, stood in front of it. They were discussing something. They'll hardly notice anythings missing until I'm long gone, he figured. The caped figure glided around the port, taking care no to look suspicious or let anyone see his face, for that matter.

As he came closer, he noticed that one of the females was an elf. She was beautiful, but Ronin didn't really care, and had a fierce air around her. She looked to strong to try and steal from. Then he saw the only man standing there. He was large body and black clothing created an imposing figure, someone the thief really didn't want to deal with. That left the other female. This one was beautiful, too, and had an air of innocence around her. She was the one that would be easy to steal from. Ronin ran at her and brushed into the woman. Making it look like an accident, Ronin said, "Sorry," while sneaking a hand around the coin purse tied to her hip.

"Little brat," he heard the elf say as he continued to run.

Then came some words he didn't want to hear, "Hey, where’s my money? He stole my money!"

Great work, Notus commented sarcastically. Ronin simply ignored him and decided to get out of there as fast as he could. Unfortunately, a wall of flames sprang up in his path. Surprised, he turned to see that it was the elf who conjured it and the other two were coming after him. He cast is Yana spell on the woman to unbalance her but the man was too close already. He tackled Ronin to the ground and held his longsword to the boy’s throat. The girl’s purse fell out of his hand.

“Give us a good reason why we shouldn’t just turn you in,” the man hissed.

Then the younger female walked over and picked up her money, “Maybe we shouldn’t be too hard on him, Kichaa. He’s only a kid and there wasn’t any real harm done.”

The man, Kichaa, let Ronin get up but still held the sword to this throat. The thief was sweating at this predicament. “I still don’t think we should just let him go, though.”

“I have an idea,” she said and walked up to Ronin, “You need some money, right?” The boy didn’t directly answer but nodded his head. “Well, we need people to help us look for titanium. Tell you what, if you help us, we won’t turn you in and even give you some ore you can sell. What do you say?”

Ronin couldn’t believe his ears. Most people would have handed him over without a thought. But this girl was actually going to let him come along. “Okay,” he stated simply.

“Great,” she said, “By the way, I’m Essie Brashe. And this,” Essie pointed to the man, “Is Kichaa Mesoa.” Kichaa lowered his sword from the boy’s throat.

“I’m Ronin Ako.”

Re: Rose Petals(Invite Only)

OoC: I'll use all of my chars!!! J/K I'll use Skif, who has been sadly neglected, and Caleb.

Red lights flashed all around Caleb as his ship spirled out of control. "Damn it!" He shouted, pulling at the controls. The blue and white ship's power started to waver as it entered the energy field. The starcraft was engulfed in blue electricity and disappeared. Suddenly, the various systems came back on as the ship was teleported to the athmoshpere above a green and blue planet.

Flame surrounded the fighter as it plunged downward, Caleb still unable to regain contol. "Nooooo!!!" The Jedi shouted as the ship rapisly lost altitude.

* * * * *

Climbing out of the smoking ship, Caleb sighed. It was just his bad fortune that he would find himself in an energy field. Surveying his craft, the man wondered just where and when he was. He sighed again. There was no way he could get this off the ground at the moment. He activated the energy shield on the ship and walked down the mountain side. It should be safe enough untill I get back.....

* * * * *

Skif walked down the docks, scanning the piers for the boat he wanted. Finally, he came across an unusual scene. He saw a large armored man leap on top of a small boy and put a sword to his troat.

Oh, no. This can't be it. Damn. It is. Why do I always have to work with such weirdos? Shaking his head, Skif walked up and introduced himself to the group.

Re: Rose Petals(Invite Only)

A sprawled figure lay upon the heated sand of the shore, asleep. If one was to approach her the sure divinity of her present pose and condition would instantly demolish the intentions they may have previously had, forcing them to leave her alone as to never break the spell of pure angelic beauty. The strawberry blond curly tresses of hair surrounded the gerudo, as if an aura of fiery beauty that contrasted her smooth mocha skin and black dress. Her limbs layed at odd angles, obviously not placed there in consious comfort. It was as if she had fell from the heavens, a being of pure magic and beauty to intise the people and their hearts. A gull squaked, putting into motion the awakening of the female that would eventualy happen.

A general warth rushed aross the senses of the young light skinned Gerudo woman, a sense she distinctly was a customed to since all her time spent living in the hot desert of Gerudo territory. She opened her eyes, hoping that she was merely home once again but the sky was much to unfamiliar. Irva sighed, she had taken another wrong turn in the Lost Woods once again. With achy limbs she pulled herself from the impressions her body had made as it had landed in the sand. Sitting now, she took inventory of her items and self. The mesh scarf she used as a weapon was in it's customary place, drapped across her shoulders; Irva looked down at her figure now, there were red marks but luckily the bronze gaurds she wore had protected her limbs from damage.

The instincts of her profession told her to check her surroundings for potential danger, and she did. In front of her a great sea lay, the azure blue streching farther than the horizon with waves that seemed like mere ripples. Behind her lay many dunes, similar to those of her desert except some had green protrusions of plant life, something home lacked. Yet to her side, something far more intresting caught her eyes. Ships, dozens of ships. An excitment overwhelmed Irva like none other had done before. If she could get on one of those ships then she could travel were no other Gerudo had, across the sea.

With an overcompensated burst of energy, the Sheikhan rushed across the dunes, making her way to the ships. The wind blew the grains of sand from her figure, and the bronze ringlet once again held her bangs in place. With her life time admired agility and swiftness, Irva had arrived at the docks. She walked up the small sloped wooden ramp, feeling the narrow thing shift with her wieght. With calm cat like grace she walked across the ramps looking for a crew in which she could talk to. Irva however did not find one, only empty vessels that were left by a land hungry crew. She returned to the center walkway to go to town, when from the corner of her eye she saw a hulk of a man astride a small boy. Intrested Irva walked up.

"Excuse me," she said a commanding tone in her voice. "But what is going on here?", she said raising a light eyebrow and staring into the eyes of the armour clad man.

Re: Rose Petals(Invite Only)

Kichaa looked up at the woman that had adressed him so boldly. Under six foot, not that heavy... he thought, where does she get off with that attitude?

He let the theif scamper off behind him to join the rest of the party, who were still watching him, and replied, "That theif has just agreed to come on a little adventure with us... after trying to steal our money."

The woman seemed a bit at a loss for only a moment before responding in the same tone, "Oh, and were you going to kill him?"

"No, Kichaa wouldn't do that," Essie replied for him, causing the woman to swing her eyes from Kichaa to Essie, who was now walking forward, "He just needed to stop him before he got away."

Kichaa took the time to measure up the lady with his eyes. She couldn't have been too young, but she didn't look old either. She was fairly tall, probably around five ten, slim and obviously used to exercise. She cought his eyes on her, and Kichaa knew he'd been staring too long, but for some reason he just stared right back at her. Within moments she lowered her eyes and responded, "I was just looking to ride a ship. I guess I figured the worst when I saw him on top of that boy."

"That's fine," Essie said quickly, knowing Kichaa wouldn't have answered anyway, and told her, "I'm Essie Brashe, and I'm captain of the Soarline, you could ride with us if you're up for an adventure?"

"I'm in," the young woman replied, smiling at Essie, then looking behind them to the rest of the group. The introductions were made, and they all made their way onto the Soarline for some sleep.

***

Essie and her crew were wide awake with the ship on the high seas before anyone else had woken to find land no where in sight. They had been joined at the very last minute by a strange man while the others had been asleep, but Essie let him come along anyway, since he seemed a bit haggard and lost. The man had said his name was Caleb, and that he was a Jedi, but Essie had no idea what that was.

By the time all were awake and on deck Irva had vomited at least twice. Never been on a boat in her life, thought Essie humorously, and she chooses a frigate. The others were coping well, so Kichaa decided to brief them a bit more on what was going on.

"Ok guys- and ladies-" he added, "As most of you probably know we're headed to Torra, the capital city slash docks north of here-"

"Northwest," Essie corrected.

"Northish," Kichaa said quickly, "After that there's going to be a long ride into the mountains, probably four days at the pace we'll be going. After that we're going to split up and search for the mine enterance."

"Why?" Amounet asked before Kichaa could continue. That must've hurt, Kichaa thought testily. She'd been avoiding the men on the crew, some of whom were charged with feeding her, the whole morning, and Kichaa knew it must have something to do with hate of the male sex.

"Because no one know's where the mine is," Kichaa told her, dripping with condecention, "So unless you know where to look, I suggest you just pick someone you can handle being with for a pretty long time."

The elf's face flushed red with rage, and Kichaa knew he'd stepped in it. Too late now.

Re: Rose Petals(Invite Only)

Irva stood looking out upon the blue green sea, the water was crystaline and pure giving sight to the very bottom were various plants were strewn about hapahazardly. The varying colors of fish were a sight to see, as flashs or red, blue, yellow and silver quickly swam across the surface of the ocean. Suddenly globs of red and orange dropped onto the sheen surface of the glassy water, the partialy digested food clumps sinking to the bottom were hungry water creatures gobbled them up with gaping mouths.

She had had enough of sight seeing and the sea for a day. With a groggy motion the Mocha skinned gerudo pushed her self back from the railing, but still held on for saftey incase she lost her balance. With a semi grimy thumb she wipped the corners of her mouth, gathering the remains of the red liquid that had been last nights dinner and wipped it on the bottom hem of her black dress. She started to stumble across the deck, making her way for the woman who was obviously the captain. With quick hands Irva gripped the bar that served as a rail and turned her head to the woman.

"Exuse me, but were can I get away from this?", Irva begged, her voice strained and ragged from the acidity of the vomit. The other woman looked her over a few times, taking notice that a drip of vomit was suspened from the bronze loop a few inchs under her breasts were it connected the top. With a guile finger she motioned to the mess and Irva looked down. In embarresment the gerudo woman smiled a hopeless smile and wipped the mess up.

"Yes," the woman said in rely her voice crisp. "Go through the portal to your left and follow the stairs to the bottom. There you will find a cot upon which you can rest until the journey is over."

"Thank you," Irva said hesitantly smiling a groggy smile before wobbling over to the portal. She stepped through the hole, opening the small door before doing so and followed the narrow stairs to the bottom. To her dismay the assasin found that the area felt like it was hardly moving. In sated relife she plopped down upon the cot an burried her strawberry blond curls into the pillow, waiting for the rid to end.

Re: Rose Petals(Invite Only)

OoC: OH! You wanna start something, youngin’? lol, actually, you’re almost the same age as me.

BiC: Amounet’s pretty face hardened, her teeth bared. The elf couldn’t help but grasp the hilt of her knife in her rage. She knew exactly what he meant by that. How dare he speak to her that way! So he thought she couldn’t handle being around a man? Well, she’ll see about that!

“You think I can’t handle this,” she growled at Kichaa, narrowing her eyes, “don’t you? I can do this even in the presence of scum like you!”

To prove this, she walked right up to him. Though, it was hardly eye level, for he was much taller than she. That didn’t stop Amounet from glaring up at him as if he were the smaller one. Kichaa stared right back down at her, unfazed by whatever form of intimidation she was trying to use on him. The girl put her hands on her hips in a defient demeanor and said with great disdain, “You think your so great, don’t you? All of you pigs are the same. ‘Big heads so far up your pass you can’t even walk straight!”

Th warrior turned on her heel and stomped away from the man, her head ablaze with her teeming rage and her dark brown hair flying behind her. Her hands shook from her anger as she quickly swept down the deck and away from Kichaa. Once she was on the other side of the boat, she slammed her palms down on the railing. Her amythest eyes glared out into the water, gripping the wooden railing hard. Her fingers had been inching to stick her knife in his throat, but then she would be stuck on a boat with those who would murder her for killing one of their own.

A soft breeze drifted over the elf, carrying her heated rage with it. Her tense shoulders relaxed and dropped down her back. Her face softened as she gently close her eyes to feel the soft wind cool her tepid face. Yes, perhaps she had been too quick to anger with him. However, the elf really didn’t care that much. He was a man, and she would never care if her manner offended him. Amounet leaned her elbow on the railing of the ship as she rested her chin in her up turned palm. However enraged she had appeared before, she looked nothing more than a young elf, staring calmly out into the sea. Stupid bastards … she thought bitterly. I don’t understand how anyone can stand them … or even have husbands. Though ... at least he had people who would give a damn if she killed him. No one would have cared if he had spilled Amounet's blood all over the deck.

OoC: Uhhgggg.....need.....more......CJs......

BiC: Huh. Caleb thought to himself as the elven warrior stormed out. [/i]That was interesting.[/i] He slowly backed away from the group and went out the other door to the deck. Walking out onto the deck, he saw Amounet leaning on the railing.

Blinking in the bright light, he walked up next to the angery elf. "That was a little harsh, don't you think?"

She didn't reply, but huffed her frustration. When he continued to stand there, she turned on him. "Well? Don't you have some big, important man thing to do?"

Her remained calm in face of her anger. "No. I happen to think that a woman can do anything a man can, even more. But that is beside the point. You should not be so prone to anger. It will only lead to evil and sorrow." With that, the Jedi walked away from her and went back into the inners of the ship.

* * * * *

Skif twirled his trident over and over in his hand, watching the sunlight reflect of the golden surface. After a while, he slipped it back under his cloak and stood up from his leaning postion against the side of the outside of one of the ship's cabin.

Walking across the deck, the Minish saw a white-robed man talking to the elf that had stormed out of the conference earlier. Walking into the cabin, he found Essie. "So, how long untill we reach shore?" He didn't like this sailing stuff one bit.

Re: Rose Petals(Invite Only)

This is great! Ronin thought as he peered out into the ocean. He had managed to clamber up the ropes that held the sails up and had a wide view of the scenery. Fluffy white clouds floated around the blue sky while the wind sent white caps rolling into the ship. It was his first time sailing and he immediately knew he wanted to do it again.

Notus sent out a groan, I don’t understand what you find so fascinating about this. All you can see is blue ocean and blue sky. There’s nothing at all. The thief, however, was enjoying himself too much to be brought down by the demon’s complaining. He leaped off his perched and dashed over to the side, leaning over the wooden railing. The clear water allowed him to see the plants that waved in the ocean current, just like plants on land do in the wind. “Oh, look! Fish!” he said as a school of angelfish swam below. From his excitement, a person would think he had never even saw a fish. The demon let out another exasperated sigh, Why do I have to be stuck with you?

“Enjoying the ride?” Kichaa asked as he walked over to the boy. Ronin didn’t even look up, too absorbed at the sight of the watery ecosystem.

“Yeah, it’s wonderful! I would've gone on a ship long ago if it knew it would be like this.”

The man chuckled, “Well, we’ll be hitting land soon. So don’t get too attached.” With that, he walked off to engage in some of his duties. The wind rushed through Ronin’s green hair and pushed the ship along. Relaxing a bit, he rested his head on his arms which were in turn rested on the railing. I wonder what this titanium mine will be like, he pondered. Perhaps it would get him enough money that he wouldn’t have to steal for awhile. Stealing never set well with him, the boy had been raised honorably. But it seemed like the best choice. Not too many people would hire a boy that shared his body with a wind demon.

Re: Rose Petals(Invite Only)

Midday had come and gone by the time they hit land, so the first thing they did after checking in with the dock master was eat. There were enough provisions on the ship for a meal but they were coarse and generally unappetizing, so Essie suggested they wait. Everyone agreed, and soon they were eating on a small patch of grass. The angry elven woman was still avoiding Kichaa, but he didn't really care. She can deal with her own issues, he resolved.

Essie was listing off the places they could borrow horses, tack, and buy food, but Kichaa wasn't attending. He was still thinking about the boy's comments on the ship. Maybe Essie could give him a ride back to the town we found him in... no, that wouldn't work, he might not want to go back, Kichaa thought. Something caught the corner of his eye though, a figure in the shadows. It disappeared as soon as quickly as it appeared, so Kichaa couldn't make it out, but he wondered about it.

"Kichaa," Essie's voice broke his trance. She was looking right at him, probably expecting an answer to something.

"I'm sorry, what?"

"When should we set out?"

"Umm, today if we can," Kichaa answered, thinking over how much time it would take them to get started, "I don't think we need to sleep in town do we?"

No one objected, though the elf seemed ready to retort just for the sake of it, so Kichaa stood and brushed his armor smooth, "Ok then. Essie, lead the way."

Essie smiled and took over, leading them to the nearest stable, then to a market to get some food- Kichaa bought a few blankets too- and they left town quickly. By sundown they'd already reached the foothils, which were covered with conifers- hemlocks, cedars, even a few redwoods- and brush. They build a small fire in one of the less dense areas and settled down for the night.
_____

"Kichaa wake up," Essie shook him repeatedly until he opened his eyes.

"Wha... Essie it's really dark, it can't even be close to sunrise, go back to sleep," he replied groggily.

"Kichaa, someone's in the woods!"

Kichaa was wide awake now, "What? Where."

Essie pointed off to the north, and Kichaa moved quickly out of the firelight, coming back a moment later to tell her to wake the others, then leaving again. He wandered about in the dark, listening intently to hear some kind of movement in the still forest. Nothing. The forest seemed just as it should be. Dark, windless, and lonely... but still something did seem wrong. Kichaa decided that separating from the group was a bad idea, so he turned back to head to the fire, only to discover it gone.

"I couldn't have walked more than fifty steps," he mumbled to himself, looking around desperately for the fire. Suddenly he realized that whatever was wrong with this forest might get him killed.

Re: Rose Petals(Invite Only)

Irva groggily rose her head from the soft pillow as she felt the ship start to slow. Brushing her long strawberry curls out with a quick swipe with clawed fingers, she headed up the winding stairs. She felt moderatly better, but still a slight queesyness occupied her stoumach. Holding onto the rail hard, she ascended the stairs slowly, taking one step at a time in case she grew dizzy and fell. With a tentive hand she turned the door release, and opened the small door slowly.

The brightness of the sun caught her off gaurd, seeing as she had been under deck for a most of the day. Sheilding her eyes with an up held arm, she scooted over to were the dark bump on the horizon could be seen. She turned her back to the source of light and stared out at the shore. Grabbing her flowing sleeves, she murmered to her self in excitment. She would finaly get to land, Irva would never again get on a ship if she could help it the sickness was not worth it. As the boat came to a halt, the lack of movement almost shot the young light skinned Gerudo overboard, but wrapping her mesh scarf around the rail, Irva pulled herself up and climbed back on deck.

With the rest of the crew the Sheikan departed the vessel for a meal in the lush grass up shore. She sat under a tall tree with spear shaped leafs that kept falling on her head as she ate her meager meal of semi-moist oatmeal cakes and a small serving of preserved fruit. Even if it was a poor meal it still looke better than the highly salted pork that some of the other people were eating.

After her meal, Irva followed the rest of the group to the foot hills. She curled up by the fire when it as started, and stared up at the night sky caught in her own world.
