The Plight of Faenaro (Invite Only! PM Me to get Invite)

Ooc: This will be a quest to find an object, a holy artifact that was once rumored to have been worn by the Goddess of War herself, The Sanguine Gauntlets of Truth. The main town I will be starting in will be Tollanaar, a larger city in the World of Drakanor that has a large stronghold in the center and an Arena in the East quarter. For this I will be using Valanoth Karundir
Bic: A shadowy figure walks down the muddy street, the rain pounding incessantly on him. He walks to the tavern and before he walks through the doorway he peers around, the Citadel rises up in the west. The street around him is poorly built, the buildings are falling apart and are built too close together, the street winds every which way making it hard to get around. The figure takes one last look and shakes his head, then he opens the door and walks in.
The tavern is busy, very busy. People are bustling around, making it hard to get through. Finally Valanoth sits down at the bar counter.

"Barkeep, some food..."

"What would ya like good sir?"

"Some meat... raw preferrably."

After hesitating for a second and looking at Valan suspiciously the bartender walks off to get the food. The man at the counter takes down his hood and everyone around him suddenly freezes and looks over at him. One patron, obiviously drunk, speaks, "What kind of freak are you?"
Valanoth looks over at the man, obviously used to this kind of thing, his eyes literally blazing, "Do not bother me, and I shall not bother you..."

"Yeah well, you didn't answer my question..."

"Did you not hear me?" Valan stands up and puts his hand on one of his scimitars, "Leave me alone or you will have a force to reckon with that even you cannot comprehend!"

The tavern is now silent, the next thing that anyone can hear is the thudding of the mans heart and his drunken breathing.

Ooc: Ok guys... Go ahead and take it from here... Feel free to work on it...

as Earen walked into the bar, everything was dead silence. looked forward to see a drunken man, struck scared by an obvious half demon. Eareb casually walked forward and orderd a glass of water and some bread.

"wha what did you say?" said the bartender as he turned to earen.

"i would like some water and bread please" earen replied
"oh ya sure just a sec" said the bartender as he turned back to the halfdemon.

earen went and sat down casually, waiting for his food.

"why dont you leave the man alone, hes obviously drunk" earen said

the half demon turned to earen and glared

"Well obviously..." said Valan, whilst looking up and down the newcomer. "But maybe you should stay out of other people's conversations..."
Valan turns back to his meal and starts eating, the tavern resumes it's noisy pace. "So, what brings someone like you here?" asks Valan. As Earendur looks over he notices the obvious demonic features and also notices a couple of bulges underneath the cloak on the mans back. "Wings..." mutters Earendur and suddenly gets the odd notion that not everything is as it seems.

earen looked at the demon with distaste and said " im resting from being on a journey. do you have a problem? i assume you dont want any trouble" earen turned to the barkeeper

"hey am i gonna get food?"

"hold your horses young man" the cook replied, obvisously irritated by the hustle and bustle

earen turned to the demon "so why are YOU here?"

"Calm down... I was not asking for a fight... The fight found me." Valan sees the tattoos and senses the holy aura around Earen.
"I have come here on an assignment... I will not tell you more than that. You should be more patient... Rushing just gets people into trouble."

ooc: what the heck? tattoos? i dont have tattoos.

bic: the cook hurried over and threw down a platter in front earen. he flipped a gold coin at the bartender and earen

"thanks sir" said the bartender

he looked at the food and pushed it away.

"what sort of assignment? we may be able to help each other."

Ooc: I thought u had tattoos on each arm... oh wells scratch that...
Bic:
"How can I know that I can trust you?" Valan looks suspiciously at Earen, "I don't trust many people... You can't when your living is execution..."
"You don't seem to be untrustworthy... I guess I could explain a little bit... I am here on an assignment to get a holy artifact for my guild. I guess I could need a bit of help... But I am in command, if you fail to follow my orders... you're out."

earen considers for a moment, but obviously interested.

"ok. but on one condition. i get to take one thing we get from the loot, besides the guantlets of course."

valon thinks, then shakes heartily with earen. "so will anyone else be joining us on this adventure?"

"Depends... Unless you want to ask anyone... I could look around and see, I will do that..." Valan walks through the door and tosses a gold coin to the bar keeper.

earen waves and looks down at the table. a man grabs him by the shoulder and then sits next to him. "hey, we dont like you makin friends with the freak" it was the drunken man from before.

"look, you got a problem with valon, you got a problem with me" earen replied as he standed up.

the man pulled out an axe and waved it dangerously "well then, your going down pretty boy"

as swung at earen, earen dodged easily, the man still obvisouly drunk and socked him in the stomach. the man fell over, his drunken friends letting him fall to the ground and laugh at their friend.

the bartender walked over with a big clayomore "hey stop the fig-" he stopped talking as earen flipped him a gold coin. "sorry bout that tender. have a nice night." earen said as he walked out.

"What took you so long?" Valan asks,
"Just a little distraction..." Says Earen, "Don't worry about it."
"I think we should head north, that is where Faenaro said it would be." Valan says while pointing north. "He said it would be well guarded by another faction... We should be prepared for a fight. What do you say? Should we head off north first? or should we stock up on supplies?"

"well im fine on food and stuff. im good to go unless you need somthing" earen replied

"so will this gauntlet be in the mountains, or just the plains?" earen asked curiously

Ooc: To the north is the mountains
Bic:
"I was just curious... I am fine myself..." As Valanoth and Earendur walk northward they see the majestic mountains rise up, looking almost menacing.
"It will be a long hard trek up through the mountains... We will be looking for a castle, a Demon Lord's castle if you know what that looks like..."

OoC: Thanks for letting me join in. Here's my character.

BiC: "I love the rain." Shisho said as he walked up to a crossroad. "Ugh, it would be better if there wasn't a demon coming towards me." It's aura was more than obvious. But when the demon came into view he was talking with what looked like a sage knight. "Curious." As the two got closer the Demon noticed Shisho and stared at him while he continued walking. The sage knight, noticing that the demon was no longer listening, said "What's wrong?" "That man over there," the demon said "Look at him." Both of them clearly didn't like Shisho's presence. As they were about to cross Shisho's path his curiosity reached a boiling point. "Knight!" the travelers stopped "Why are you traveling with a demon?" "We're... on a quest" the demon answered, and they continued walking. "Well that's an upfront answer" Shisho said to himself. He decided to follow them "What are they up to?"

bic:as earen walked along hurriedly with his companion, he looked behind to see a youg human, in his middle teens, following them.

"that boy is following us" earen said

"should we confront him? maybe he could be of some use to our quest"earen asked valon

" i dont know. lets walk alittle more and see what he does" valon replied.

as shisho kept following, trying to look as natural as possible. he saw the holy knight look back, but they kept on walking. he decided to keep on course.

"Ok... enough of this..." Valan turns around, who is this person? Valan thought. "Who are you and why are you following us?"
"My name is Shisho, I am wondering where you are going."
"Shisho... If you want to join us in our quest then by all means join... Don't just hang back like a little lost puppy... Just be aware, I tend to work alone, so if you or Earen fall behind. I will keep going."

Ooc: Pretty good, Just in case if you didn't know though... In this thread... we tend not to control as much as possible... If you have to control a person to accomplish something then by all means do it, like in a battle, just follow the persons personality, but do NOT make any decisions for the player... I don't really care if there are short posts... Just as long as they are on topic.
