The Medallion's Curse

Ooc: ok as I promised to Honorary Aussie, onilinkc4, Mikey B, graceful_sheik, I have created the follow on thread for the woodland temple. As most of you said at the end, I gave it a very creepy ending, and here’s a very creepy thread. I will be using my character Aristo, and also my character Sudran.

“This will be one of the easiest we’ve ever collected” Aristo muttered to Sudran, who was wielding his flaming swords confidently.

“Your right, I say first one to take him down gets a drink off the loser” Sudran replied, nodding to the injured man in front of them.

“Done” Aristo said, and summoned a ball of lightning into the middle of his hand, and threw it at the man, who dodged it with a roll to the left. But as he stopped rolling, he was hit in the middle of the stomach by a fireball.

“You need more practice” Sudran said, toying with a fireball in his hand, having put his swords away.

“Watch this” Aristo said, pushing both of his hands to his chest, summoning a small ball of ice. But before he could use it, Sudran was attacking the man with flaming punches. With the fifth punch, the man was out cold.

“That one free red wine you owe me Aristo… Aristo!!!!” Sudran said, turning round to see that Aristo had somehow been frozen solid by the ice ball he had been holding.

----------

Aristo was stood in a clearing, with a familiar temple looming in the background. A bear was walking towards him. It was similar to the one on the medallion. It is time you knew, return to my birthplace by sundown on the tenth day, or the curse shall make you what you most fear the bear said, even though its mouth never moved. Suddenly the bear changed, and became a giant bat, one of the very few creatures Aristo feared. It flew at him, and at that moment Aristo regained consciousness.

----------

“Aristo, Aristo, are you alright” said Sudran, waking Aristo from his dream. Aristo was cold, and as soon as he looked down he knew why. His whole body was covered in ice, except his head, which Sudran had melted. After a few minutes, Sudran had freed all of his body.

“We must leave, leave the bounty.” Aristo said, moving for his horse. Sudran shrugged and followed. He had been with Aristo for a while, and knew never to argue with his judgement. They rode for a whole day, until Aristo could once again smell the wood and stone, and after a bit could see the temple.

“Where are we?” Sudran asked.

“A place that I hoped to never return to” Aristo mumbled. He hadn’t slept, for the reason that he knew that the bear and the bat would haunt his dreams. They rode for a long while in silence, until they arrived at the small town. It had changed, more buildings had been built, and the bar at which Aristo had first come was bigger, and had a new name the woodland sword, with a picture of a green sword above it. Aristo smiled to himself, knowing what the name came form. They tied up their horses and entered.

“Looks like nothing’s changed since I left.” Aristo said to Sudran. It was true. There were the same men drinking, and the same bartender, nothing looked different. Even the old men playing cards.

“You came back” said one of them.
“We didn’t think you would have the guts to” another said. Sudran stepped forward in defence of Aristo, but Aristo put out his arm, blocking him.

“You knew about what would happen, didn’t you, and still you let us all leave with the medallions” Aristo said to the old men.

“We asked for the medallions, you were the ones who decided to keep them. Foolish people” said one of them, and was dragged from his chair by an angry Sudran. His eye looked like they were on fire, and were glowing an intense orange. The man looked back, obviously not afraid.

“He was not one of the medallion takers” he said to Aristo.

“No, but he is a friend”. Aristo nodded and Sudran dropped the old man.

“If you wish to avoid the curse, you must travel to the birthplace of the medallions.” Said one of the old men.

“The temple?”

“No, the forest clearing. It holds the key to the curse. But for you to do this you need the other medallions, and you have only ten days from when the dreams set in.”

“How do you know this?”

“Our fathers left very detailed diaries of what happened to them and how to stop it”

“The other medallions could be halfway around the world by now!”

“Do not be so sure, you probably aren’t the only one who has experienced the dreams, give it a day and the medallions will return here”

Aristo turned to Sudran.

“Looks like we wait for the other four” and they both took a seat in the shade of the door.

Re: The Medallion's Curse

Almost as soon as Sudran and Aristo sat to rest a familiar call came from the door.

"Oi! Where are the old guys?!" Here comes Ziran. The windigo stumbled into the bar with a trail of blood following him. His whole body was covered in cuts and gashes, which explained the trail of blood.

"A big bugga came out of my amulet and attacked me!" he yelled to the old men. Indeed, the wounds seemed to have been inflicted by some kind of savage animal.

"Here, have a seat." said Aristo. Ziran sat down at the table, ignoring comments from various bar patrons about seeing a doctor.

"It seems that all of the amulets are cursed. We need to bring them to a forest clearing within the next ten days." said Aristo. Ziran was guzzling down a beer.

After wiping his wet mouth off the windigo yawned. "That's it?" he said. The wind weilder's wounds were almost fully healed. The trail of blood was being mopped up by the annoyed bar owner.

"Yeah, but I'm sure there's something dangerous on the way there." replied Aristo. Ziran nodded. Probably is something dangerous. That thing just attacked me and dissapeared...

Re: The Medallion's Curse

Sora walked through the familiar forest, hunting a small bird demon that was annoying the farmers. I seem to get boring missions way too often, she mused to herself. The hunter had been taking the mission rather leisurely, the demon wouldn't be hard to find or slay. She knew somewhat of the direction she was going for she traveled in the same forest that had the Woodland Temple in it. The people of village where she had first heard of the temple hadn't hired her, however. The dirt road would take her there but Sora had no intention.

I need to find that stupid bird and get the money. As if the it heard her, a huge crow, as large as a cougar, flew overhead. Sora summoned her holy katana, Seraphim, and prepared to cut it down. But something beat her to it. A figure flew above the bird and sliced it apart with claws of its own and landed near the bloody remains. Sora then saw that the figure was another demon. Most of his body was covered in snow white fur with matching wings. He had huge, black claws and talons to match. The demon's face was black was well, the only discernable feature was yellow iris that looked upon the half-breed. Her blood froze at the sight of this ice demon. N, no! He's dead! she screamed silently.

"Hello, dear sister," the demon said with mock kindness. His voice was as cold as the ice he commanded.

Sora took a step back, "You're dead. You can't be here." She tried to keep her voice as calm as she could. His demon, her brother, was a haunting monster. He had even murdered their father and tried to kill her. But she had killed him, she knew it! Drayden just couldn't be here!

Another, hissing voice entered her head. You fear him?, it questioned. Unless you take me to my birthplace, you will end up no better than your brother. With that, the ice demon disappeared, along with the snakelike voice. Sora noticed a green glow coming from her pocket and took out the medallion he had aquired in the Woodland Temple. The brown amulet had the carving of a python wrapping around a large boulder. The green glow had been coming from it and was now dying down.

The female had the mind to throw the medallion down right then and there. This thing created a copy of Drayden. How dare it prowl around my memories! But the hissing voice stayed her hand. It said she would become like that demon. I would rather die. Perhaps the people of that village knew what to do with the medallions. After all, it was there that she first heard of the temple and it wasn't too far. Sora ran down the dirt path.

The village had changed somewhat since the hunter had last been there. She walked in the bar which was a bit larger than she remembered and saw some old faces. "Well, if it isn't the leader and the Windigo," she said playfully as she walked up to Aristo and Ziran.

"Hey, it's the slapping chick," Ziran replied. Slapping chick? I definitely don't want to be remembered for that.

Aristo's comment wasn't as happy, "I take it the medallion led you here?"

She was surprised, "Yeah. Did something happen to you two?"

"Yup. I got attacked by a big bugga," the Windigo said.

"I seems our medallions are cursed and we need to get them to clearing in ten days," continued Aristo. Great, ten days. "And this is Sudran," the human introduced. Sora looked over to a man with dark red hair and dark orange eyes. "He's a friend and will be accompanying us."

Re: The Medallion's Curse

Kichaa was getting more exhausted by the minute. The bounty was more than a match for him, and the tiredness just compounded the problem. Just in time! he thought to himself as the earth medallion revitalized him. He finished off the tired warrior easily, but then something happened.

One moment he'd been awake, the other moment he was sleeping quite deeply in the knee high grass. The nightmarish figure of a large, startling hawk materialized next to his body, screeching in his ear to wake him up.

"Wha-" Kichaa started, stopping since the hawk didn't seem to welcome conversation.

"Take me back to wear I came from, or you will never see the sun again!" the hawk screeched, but Kichaa could barely make out the high-pitched words. His medallion had become searingly hot, burning into his chest.

Then it stopped. Everything stopped. He woke up in a large forest that seemed very familiar. A tavern stood nearby... bingo. The temple, the thought appeared of its own volition, but Kichaa was compelled to enter the disgusting place again.

Upon entering the tavern things immediately perked up. Many of the old group were already here, including the Windigo and Sora.

"Hey, your guy's medallions act up too?" he asked cordially, wondering how well the Windigo remembered him.

"I got attacked by a big bugga!" the Windigo exclamed, obviously drunk.

"Are we going back to the temple?" Kichaa asked hastily, not allowing the others to answer- for the sake of time of course- and took a seat.

Re: The Medallion's Curse

OoC: I will be using two characters. Brolio and Kakashi, read up on them in my sig.

BiC:

Brolio was walking in the forest with Kakashi at his side. The forests of Ralu were always very full of life. Kakashi was a very good friend and very protective. Kakashi, always protective, Brolio thought with a smirk. That guy at the diner a few days ago never had a chance, heh heh, Brolio thought with a smirk. Kakashi looked to his right and noticed this.

“What are ya smiling about?” He asked.

“Back at the diner a few days ago,” Brolio said.

“Heh, that guy was a jerk. He got what he deserved. Calling you a little s***. Nobody calls any of my friends a little s***,” Kakashi said angrily.

“Hey, relax man. You got him back, remember? I don’t think he’ll forget being knocked out cold in one hit by some one younger than him is something he’ll never forget,” Brolio said.

“Yeah you’re right. I sure let him-”

“AAAAAAHHH!” Brolio yelled out in pain. Brolio clenched his chest; the exact same place the medallion pierced his chest and made a home in his heart. Brolio then fell to the ground gripping his chest. Kakashi was very surprised to see him fall to the ground out of nowhere.

“Brolio! Are you okay?” Kakashi said.

“Can’t (wheeze) breath,” Brolio said softly. Damn it, this medallion is affecting my whole body. I can’t move, Brolio thought. Brolio’s hand fell from his hand and onto the grass. Brolio then started coughing uncontrollably, with blood spewing from his mouth as he did so.

“S***! Brolio,” Kakashi said worriedly as he bent down next to him. “Brolio, are you okay?” Kakashi asked him.

“(Cough) I’m coughing (cough) up blood. (Cough) How do you think (cough) I’m doing?” Brolio said. The pain the medallion was giving Brolio was unbelievable. His heart felt as if it was emitting a liquid of pain that went through his entire body. Every time he inhaled, the mere expansion of his lungs would bring him pain. His head was throbbing uncontrollably also. This combined with the large amount of blood he lost made him pass out right there on the bloody grass that was once green.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brolio looked around to see he was still in the forest, but Kakashi was gone. He looked around to see a shadowy figure in the distance. It was in the form of a young woman, at least one year younger then Brolio. It went at him at an incredible and unbelievable speed. It punched Brolio in the stomach and then grabbed him by his shirt. It then threw I him into the air with incredible strength. Brolio went flying in the air when out of no where, the women was right in front of him. It brought out it weapon and brought over its head. It then put right between Brolio’s eyes. “Unless you want to end up like your parents, I suggest you take that medallion back to the place it was created,” she said. She then pulled back its sword and pushed forward.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brolio awoke from his terrible nightmare. He found himself to be flat on his back on some kind moist sand. He looked up to see a bucket of water hovering over his head. The bucket then went to the side and covered his face with salt water.

“AAHHH!” Brolio yelled as the salt water burned his eyes.

“Oh s***! Sorry Brolio, I didn’t know your eyes were open,” Kakashi said.

“Well… next time make sure,” Brolio said as he tried to get up with his eyes still shut tight. Brolio slowly opened his eyes to see nothing, but a blur. After a few seconds he was able to perfectly. The first thing he saw was the ocean shore right in front of him. “What the? How did we get here?” Brolio asked.

“I brought you here. Where else would I go to get some water?” Kakashi asked.

“A lake maybe? Well, it doesn’t matter. It’s actually a good thing that you brought me here,” Brolio said.

“How so?” Kakashi asked.

“I’ll explain to you when we get there,” Brolio said as he went towards a boat renting/buying store that was farther up inland.

“Wait, Brolio! Go where?!” Kakashi yelled as he ran after Brolio.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brolio was in a boat that was large enough to take two people.

“Ready?” Brolio asked.

“Ready for what?” Kakashi answered. Brolio then stuck his hands into the water and then the boat started going incredibly fast. The boat was going well over 100 mph. Kakashi actually fell off the boat… or at least would have if he wasn’t hanging on by one hand, but only barely.

“Brolio! Slow doooown!” Kakashi yelled out over the rushing waves that were being created against the boat.

“What?!” Brolio yelled back.

“I said! SLOW DOWN!” The boat immediately stopped and Kakashi was then sent flying through the air and landed a few feet in front of the boat. After a few seconds Kakashi’s head popped out from under the ocean. Kakashi looked at Brolio with an extremely angry look.

“Sorry,” Brolio said softly.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brolio and Kakashi were a few feet away from the bar with the words The Woodland Sword on it. Brolio was filling Kakashi in about the place they’re going.

“So then the medallion went inside?” Kakashi asked.

“Yep, strange huh?” Brolio asked.

“Sure is,” Kakashi answered.

Brolio and Kakashi were now in the bar and sure enough, everyone was there. The Windigo, the Raikan, the human, and the animal talker.

“Would you look at that? Everyone’s here,” Brolio said with a smile. Brolio looked at Sota and said, “Even you Ms. Slappy.”

“Who’s your friend?” Aristo asked.

“Oh, this is my friend Kakashi. We’ve known each other for a long time,” Brolio answered. “I take it something happened with your guy’s medallions as well?”

“A big bugga came out of mine and attacked me,” Ziran said.

“I was wondering who left that trail of blood,” Kakashi said.

“Well Aristo, I’m pretty sure some one already asked you this, but. What do we do now?” Brolio asked

OoC: Sorry I took so long. It’s my headaches.

Re: The Medallion's Curse

Ooc: ok posting order is same as last time, Icy Angel, gracefull_sheik, Mikey B, Honorary Aussie and finally onilinkc4.

“We leave tomorrow, same plan as last time for the woodland temple. But with a few twist’s. We have a much longer trek than before, and we have to do it through the forest. We find the clearing, and then…”

“Then what?” Sora asked, lingering on Aristo’s unfinished sentence.

“I don’t know, I will find out for tomorrow. Its getting late, we better get some rest, remember what my wake up calls are like.” The group moaned, they all remembered what the rooms had been like when they had stopped here before. Sudran and Kakashi looked puzzled.

“What wrong with the rooms?” Sudran muttered to Sora.

“More like what’s right with them” she replied.

The group headed up the stairs, the sinking sun painting their back dark red. Aristo lingered next to the old men.

“The journals are already in your room, the first one on the left, but only take the dark blue one. That is the most detailed account of what you must do, and has a map on the back page for the way you must go. There is no point in touching the other’s.” said one of the old men, reading Aristo’s mind.

After walking up the stairs, Aristo immediately knew what was different. The whole of the upstairs had been changed greatly. The walls were no longer bare, but were covered with paint, and pictures. The floor was covered in a velvet carpet, and the doors had been replaced with mahogany doors, much sturdier than the last ones. The groups had already gone into their rooms. There was a sudden shout from one, and the door opened. Sudran was forcefully thrown out of it.

“Don’t think you can try it on with me!!” Sora shouted angrily, and slammed the door shut. Sudran got up, his face bright red.

“Can’t you go five minutes without being thrown somewhere or trying to get a woman” Aristo muttered, shaking his head and opening his door. Sudran followed him in, and closed the door.

“You know me better than that Aristo, all because you don’t find her attractive doesn’t mean I don’t… Wow, this place is magnificent!” Sudran said, looking around the room. It was much bigger than before, and had probably been two rooms before. The floor was carpet like the stuff outside, there were two giant double sized beds, and a small bath set into the floor. Sudran gave a low whistle.

“Wonder why all the rooms look the same, but this is the only one with two beds.” Sudran said, sitting down on one of the beds.

“How do you know that?” Aristo asked, examining the bath.

“Sora’s room looks exactly the same, as does the woman’s ten door’s down the hallway” Sudran said casually.

“You always try it on don’t you, you never think women couldn’t be interested in you.”

“Sometimes, but only when im hanging out with you or Valion”

Aristo headed for the door. He had had to talk to Sudran for a day straight, and if he continued to do so he would probably go nuts.

“Bring us back a bottle of red wine” Sudran shouted lazily, already laying on his bed. Aristo slowly walked down the hall, stopping at Ziran’s door. Inside he could hear the sounds of drinking and laughing. Looks like Ziran had found a drinking buddy, and from the sound of it a woman. Deciding not to disturb them, he carried on. He came to another door, where the sound of hushed talk came. It was Brolio and Kakashi. Several times someone said “little s***”. Carrying on, he came to another door where the sounds of snoring came from. Opening the door silently, he saw Kichaa laid on his bed, still fully dressed and asleep.

“No one to talk to except Sudran” Aristo muttered to himself, and closed the door. He would go into the bar for a while, maybe pick up Sudran a bottle of white wine, just to spite him, since white wine was his most hated drink. There was a loud scream, followed by several bangs, and Sora’s door opened again. She was in a towel, dripping wet, a light blue sword in hand, and threw Sudran by the scruff of his neck out of her room.

“STAY OUT OF MY ROOM!!!!” Sora shouted, and closed her door with a bang. Sudran got up again, and headed back to their room. All of the doors opened, and looked down the hall.

“What was that?” Kichaa said, woken form his slumber.

“Rejection of the highest order” Aristo chuckled. He slowly walked back to his room, and closed the door. Sudran was laid on his bed, not moving. The rejection has set in, but he will be at it again. Aristo thought to himself. Aristo lay down on his bed, and kicked off his boots, and put his whip under his pillow, since he never slept without it. He opened up the cupboard next to his bed, and rummaged around, grabbing the blue journal out of the five coloured books in the cupboard. Pulling his cover over him, he began to read.

My brother’s and I have used our magic to create these medallion’s which contain part of our very essence, though I feel there is something wrong with them, time will tell if I am correct……

Re: The Medallion's Curse

Sora's face was now bright red from anger and a little embarrassment. She had a dark blue tower wrapped around her body which was still dripping wet from the shower she had just taken. I can't believe the nerve of that guy! the female fumed, He almost walked in on me naked! "Pervert!" she yelled loudly, not caring who heard. Zero, her ice falchion, was still held firmly in her right hand. Since that Sudran seemed to like fire, she wondered how he take a liking to ice. If he tried to come in here again, I'll run him through with Zero! The hunter allowed the icy magic to follow back to Omni, which was lying on her bed with the rest of her clothes.

The rooms were much better than the last time. In fact, she questioned whether or not this was the same tavern. Plushy carpet that was soft on her bare feet. The walls were painted white with elegant landscape paintings. The baths were of top quality, better than anything Sora had ever been in. Her bed had deep red blankets and a sturdy wardrobe stood in one of the corners. Peering inside it, she found a silk bedrobe. It felt like air on her skin and she quickly dressed into it. At least she would be wearing something if someone decided to barge in again. The female sighed contently and walked over to the bed.

She sat on it and picked up the earth medallion to study it. On the outside, it looked as normal as could be. Then again, most things that are cursed don't scream it out loud. She ran her hand over the designs and sank into deep thought.

Re: The Medallion's Curse

Ziran barged out of his room and into the hall. He was going to puke, and didn't want to do it around the girl who was waiting so patiently in his room.

The hallway would be a very bad place to puke, as people could slip on it and fall down the stairs. Oh well.

Ziran let loose his stomach contents onto the hallway floor right next to the stairs. "Oh crap." he ran back into his room.

Moments later Sora came out of her room. There were no toilets in the rooms, so she would have to use the one downstairs. She could barely see anything due to the lack of light.

"What's this ahh!!!" she slipped on Ziran's vomit and felt herself falling down the two flights of stairs...

Re: The Medallion's Curse

Kichaa's room mas much better than the last stay he'd been here, he wondered how the tavern had changed so fast. The room was clean, fresh, and easily the most accomodating room he'd been in for weeks. Just after nestling into the bed again, Kichaa heard a series of crashes coming from the stairs. Upon opening his door, Kichaa noticed immediately a disgusting spot of vomit on the hallway floor, just above the stairs. The cause of the noise was easy to piece together.

Kichaa walked to the top of the staircase, sidestepping the windigo and his... mess, asking him, "What happened?"

It was really a hypothetical question, but the windigo still answered, "Sora slipped."

Kichaa chuckled a bit, but followed the poor woman on her way down. At the bottom she was in a bit of a tangled pile, so Kichaa helped her up, asking- probably to cheerfully, "You ok?"

The woman took the hand Kichaa offered, but was obviously disgusted and mispleased, "I'm fine." She stormed up the stairs, sending a glare at Ziran on the way past. Kichaa smiled at Ziran and headed back to bed.

Re: The Medallion's Curse

Kakashi stepped out of the room.

“See ya tomorrow Brolio. I’m gonna go to the bathroom then going to sleep,” Kakashi said as he closed the door. I got to go to the bathroom really bad, Kakashi thought as he ran down the hallway. s*** I can barely see, Kakashi thought. Kakashi brought up his hand. Sparks then started coming from his hand, making some light for him to see. He was still running while he was charging up his palm so he was unable to see the vomit. He was also unable to see Sora who was in front of him. Kakashi tripped and his hand landed on Sora’s breast. Not only that, but it also shocked her. Sora jumped backwards and forgot there were stairs directly behind her. She then went tumbling back down the stairs once more.

Kakashi landed flat on his stomach, but it wasn’t as bad as what happened to Sora. Kakashi quickly got back up and peered down the stairs. He saw that Sora was staring up at him with frightening eyes.

“Uh… sorry,” Kakashi said quietly. Sora just looked at him angrily. Kakashi slowly took a few steps back.

“I’M GONNA GET YOU FOR THIS!!!!” Sora yelled out. Kakashi, now frightened, ran down the hall as fast as he could. He continued running when out of nowhere, a door swung open in front of him. Kakashi ran into it and sent the person on the other side back into the room. Kakashi got back up and moved away from the door. The door opened again, but slower to reveal Brolio. Kakashi then rushed into the room and quickly closed the door.

“I thought you were going to find your own room,” Brolio said.

“I was, but now I’m a little scared to leave the room,” Kakashi said.

“Why?” Brolio asked. Loud bangs then started coming from the door; followed by shouts from a familiar voice. “Oh I see,”

“Is it alright if I stay here?” Kakashi asked.

“Okay, but you’re sleeping on the floor,” Brolio said.

“I’m alright with that. As long as I don’t have to go back out there,” Kakashi said.

“Agreed,” Brolio said.

Re: The Medallion's Curse

The clock in Sudran’s room chimed twelve, and Sudran tried to nod off to sleep, but he couldn’t. The one called Sora was nagging at the edges of his mind. Why? She isn’t that much different from the other women around here, but in a way she is Sudran thought to himself. Turning his head to the other bed, he could he the gently snores from Aristo, who still had the journal in his hand. Im usually the first asleep. Sudran had a sudden urge for the toilet, and for all the comfort in the room, the toilets were… somewhere. Taking care not to disturb Aristo, Sudran slipped of his shoes and crept silently to the door, barely making a sound, and silently closed the door behind him.

“Wonder what he’s up to?” Aristo muttered, and went back to meditating.

Sudran could suddenly smell vomit, but there was no light. Focusing, Sudran’s hand started to emit a small glow. Barely three feet to his right, there was a giant vomit stain, which had been cleaned up earlier. Sudran slowly turned to the left, and carefully walked down the hall, testing the floor before he stood on it with a careful foot. After a few minutes, Sudran finally came to the conclusion there were no toilets, and started to make his way back to his room, but stopped in front of one of the doors. This was Sora’s room. Something instantly started nagging at him. It won’t hurt just to have a peek. Not thinking of the consequences, Sudran entered the room.

The room smelled slightly of rose petals. Sudran left the door ajar, so he could make a quick escape if needed. Sora was lied on her bed, rolling around violently and mumbling various words like ‘demon’ several times. Something was wrong, but Sudran didn’t know what. As Sudran moved towards the bed, there was a sudden movement behind him. Turning round, he saw Aristo stood in the doorway, along with the one called Kakashi.

“Don’t disturb her, there is no point, you couldn’t wake her if you tried” Aristo said quietly before Sudran had the chance to talk.

“What’s wrong with them” Kakashi said worriedly.

“The medallion’s haunt their dreams. We will not get any rest unless we get to the clearing.” Sudran turned to the bed.

“Isn’t there anything we can do for them?”

“No, but I can ease the passage through it” Aristo replied, and walked up to the bed. He laid a hand on Sora’s head, but she still didn’t wake.

“Sudran, Kakashi” Aristo said, but Sudran had already laid his hand on her head, as had Kakashi.

“With the three elements of fire, ice & lightning, we give you weapons to help your dreams pass” Aristo muttered, and ice travelled from his arm directly into Sora’s head, as did the fire and lightning from Sudran’s and Kakashi’s arms. The elements travelled into her head, and then to her arms. After a few moments Sora began to stop moving around as much, and stopped mumbling words.

“Let us continue to the others” Aristo said silently, and all three left the room. As Sudran closed the door, he saw Sora open her eyes and see him, and he nodded as she looked.

After fifteen exhausting minutes, Sudran and Aristo returned to their rooms. Sudran was fully drained of his power, and Aristo looked very tired. Flopping onto his bed, Sudran was just about to nod off when he though of something.

“What about your dreams?” Sudran muttered sleepily.

“Don’t worry, much worse things haunt my dreams than the bear and the bat” Aristo replied, and once again propped himself up against his pillow, looking out of the window. A sudden creak at his door made Sudran look, and he caught a glance of someone with raven black hair watching him and Aristo before it closed again. Too tired to say anything, Sudran fell into a deep slumber.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The clock chimed five times, and the sun was just about to appear. Aristo had gotten dressed and was about to set about one of the hardest task’s he had, waking Sudran. He was snoring like a whale, and had thrown his covers to the floor. Grabbing one of the small bottles of red wine Aristo brought from the bar, he opened it and let the smell gently waft into Sudran’s nose. In less than a second, Sudran was wide awake, and grabbed the bottle of Aristo, emptying it in one gulp.

“Glad you awake, get dressed and get down into the bar.” Aristo said, and left the room. Aristo tutted to himself. They all knew what his wakeup calls were like, yet they were all still asleep. Going up to each door, he gave it a swift kick, which sounded like a gong on the doors and twice as loud.

“GET UP!! DOWN THE STAIRS IN 10 MINUTES!” Aristo shouted at each door. After being satisfied that no one would be able to get back to sleep, Aristo headed down the stairs into the bar. Sudran was already down, and was stuffing his face with pieces of meat, with quick swigs of red wine in between. Finishing off the plate as Aristo walked down, Sudran wiped his mouth with a napkin and picked up his toothpick.

“The foods not that bad, maybe ill have seconds” Sudran said.

“Too bad, there’s no time, the others won’t get anything to eat unless they eat on the ride there” Aristo said, and walked out into the cold morning air. There was a slight fog about, but it would soon be gone. Summing up in his head who needed a horse, Aristo bought the same three horses as last time, already packed with a blanket and some food. Mounting Icconn swiftly, Aristo picked out an apple from his pack and with a swift punch from his gauntlets, split it in two. Munching on one half, he fed the other to Icconn.

“Look’s like its going to be another long trip” Aristo mumbled to his horse, which whinnied in reply, sensing his master’s anxiety. After another ten minutes the group wandered out of the bar, looking as grumpy as they did last time they had been woken up by Aristo. But Sora perked up a bit as soon as she saw one of the horses, which was brown in color. Stroking it as she mounted it, she whispered something in its ear. The rest of the group mounted their horses, except for Ziran who took flight. The entire group moved slowly, and Aristo knew why. The dreams had kept them awake half of the night, even if he had helped them with it.

“We ride for the forest as we did last time, but we go much further left” Aristo said, studying the map in the blue journal. The group nodded in reply, still not having properly awoken yet. Aristo put the book in his pack, and turned his horse around, spurring it into a gallop, and the others followed him. The group of old men watched them go.

“Do you think they will return this time” said one of the old men.

“I don’t know, the dreams have been conquered, but soon the visions in the forest will be more of a concern” said another, and they turned back to their poker game.

Re: The Medallion's Curse

OoC: Why did Sora have to fall down the stairs, twice!!!? Sheesh.

BiC:

The four horses galloped along, making their way into the forest. Sora couldn't believe, it. Aristo had somehow rented the same horse that carried her to the Woodland Temple. It was good to see an old friend. Not that the others weren't her friends, she just didn't know them too well. "Ready for another adventure?" she whispered in the animal's ear. He whinned as though he happy at that thought, which caused the female to giggle a little. Then her thoughts turned to more serious events.

She yawned, her sleep having been plagued by nightmares. Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out the medallion that was causing the entire problem. Like the vision in the forest, her dreams had involved her full-blooded demon brother. Bastard, she thought, as much about her brother as the item that conjured the memories. But her night wasn't a total loss. No, during the dreams she was given a weapon to fight off the demons, the powers of ice, fire, and lightning. She silently thank those who had helped her: Aristo, Sudran, and Kakashi. She was slightly surprised the leader had helped her, he seemed cold to most people. Then again, he probably suffered the same things. Sudran didn't surprise her at all, What was that, the third time he came into my room. Oh well, at least he did have a decent side. And Kakashi, she hardly knew him but he seemed kind as well, Hopefully he keeps that other elf under control.

A few birds chirpped in the trees, bring Sora back to the present. A warm sun beat down on the group until a shadow flew over her. She looked up to see Ziran enjoying his freedom above them. "Hey," the hunter called to him, "How much did you drink this morning?"

He grinned at her, "Why?" His accent was a heavy irish.

"You better be careful," she replied which caused the Windigo to let out a hardy laugh. Then the elf, Kakashi, came over.

"Uh, sorry about last night," he said. At first she didn't realize what he was apolgizing for, Sora still had her mind on the dream. Suddenly, her back gave a sharp pain to remind her.

She chuckled, "Just don't push me down the stairs next time, that really hurts!"

"I didn't push you though."

"Well, you zapped me good. And watch where the hand goes," she stated a little more seriously. He blushed a bit but got somewhat of an agitated look on his face. The Raikan hardly noticed that, though, her attention was on the trees beside them. She could have sworn something white had been watching them, I had better have not been him.

OoC: Sorry if I messed up anyone.

Re: The Medallion's Curse

Ziran flew through any cloud he could. The cold moisture from the white forms helped to wake the windigo up.

"Oh crap." he though. He felt around his pockets, searching for something that would be much needed. "Ohhh, no."

He continued to frantically search. The red haired man was growing more and more anxious. None of those under him could see his fright.

"Nooooo...." he wailed. It wasn't there, none of them were. He remembered what he had done back at the inn...

"Oi, I think I'l break one o' these if I sleep with 'em." The windigo hugged a large pile of alcohalic drinks. "Okay 'en. Everybody 'ere then..."

Ziran placed the pile of drinks in one of the cuppards, forgetting that he wouldn't have time to grab them the next day.

"Ohhh..." moaned Ziran. He had left all of his alcohal at the bar, and that meant that nothing was going to hold him back from his incredibly hyper self...

Re: The Medallion's Curse

OoC: Oh, why does he always forget his booze!?

BiC: Kichaa rode in silence, the last night's events had kept him up long enough to make him a bit groggy, staring at anything that he could hold his eyes on. This was his 'sleepy mode' as his mother had put it, but he didn't feel like he was in a mode. He felt dead. The ride was long and boring, but eventually they entered a clearing and Aristo held up his hand.

"This is it," he told them, but nothing was out of the ordinary. There were no earth runes scraped on rocks, or pillars jutting into the sky, it was simply... a clearing. Kichaa looked around, blinking his eyes slowly and sleepily, trying to find something unusual. Withing seconds his eyes found numerous things to attack themselves to.

A bear, a demon, a creepy young woman, a large, fearsome hawk, and something akin to an ovesized monkey, only with large, dangerous-looking claws, appeared out of the woodlands directly opposite the group. Everyone seemed to know what their enemy was, including Kichaa, who's eyes were now fixed on the shreaking hawk as the new group moved towards them.

Kichaa drew his sword, now wide awake, and spurred his mount forward towards the hawk, only to find himself on the ground, dazed by a complete reversal of his medallion's previous helpfulness. He felt completely fatigued, and his chest was throbbing with pain. His arms refused to move, even when the hawk perched itself on his chest, screaching long and loud into his face, snapping the medallion off his chest with its beak and flinging it away. Kichaa was normal again, but with the hawk on his chest he could only move his arms and legs.

Reaching down, Kichaa grabbed one of the hawk's legs and wrenched it out from under it, leaving slashes where the talons were ripped out of his flesh. The hawk stumbled and rolled off him, leaving him to recover and retrieve his sword from nearby. Kichaa stood ready when the hawk attacked, lunging forward towards him with speed only birds possesed, and dodged to the left, bringing his blade down upon the hawk's neck. The beast disappeared in a cloud of disgusting black smoke, and Kichaa passed out from lack of air.

Re: The Medallion's Curse

ooc: ok onilink I gave you enough time to respond so I am skipping you.

Aristo and Sudran attacked the bat as one, Sudran slashing wildly with his swords, Aristo bringing a spike fist at its face. But moments before they collided, Aristo was flung back against the wall by some invisible force, knocking him out. Sudran’s sword connected with the wing of the bat, cutting into deep it, following the attack up with a swift double punch in the bat’s face.

“Look’s like this is going to be easier than the last bounty Aristo, Aristo!!!” the flame warrior yelled.

Sudran ran for his friend, only to have the bat grab him from behind with its teeth, flying high up. Sudran immediately began to kick and punch the bat, but it did little, and the bat kept on rising. From the great height Sudran felt dizzy, watching the other battles take place. Sora was battling against the demon, battling and losing, as was Ziran and Brolio. The bat kept flying higher and higher, until the clearing was a small circle below them. Getting angry, Sudran heated up his fists and grabbed the bat’s face, grabbing its eyelids. The bat screeched in pain and dropped him.

“Oh crud, oh crud, oh crud, oh crud,” Sudran murmured as he fell. From the ground he looked like a shooting star. Within ten seconds he had hit the floor, creating a giant crater. Slightly dazed, the flame warrior wandered out of the crater. The bat was coming back down, screeching as it did. Sudran realized a second before it hit him, which didn’t help him at all. The bat crashed into him, turning into black smoke. Sudran choked and coughed as the smoke filled his lungs, clouding his vision, and eventually knocking him out. Before he lost consciousness, he saw the others fall in a cloud of black smoke.

Look’s like im not the only one who got a butt whooping… Sudran thought, and passed out.

Re: The Medallion's Curse

OoC: Sorry it took so long, but cry about it and I’ll… do something… but keep in mind that it’s something bad. MWAHAHAHAHAHA- that’s one ha too many.

BiC:

Brolio and Kakashi looked on to see the eerie woman sadistically looking at them. Then something his hit Kakashi like a ton of brick, not literally though.

“Brolio that’s her! That’s Leira!” Kakashi yelled.

“What? Why would she come to us now?” Brolio asked.

“I don’t know,” Kakashi answered as they both drew their weapons. I don’t think that’s the real Leira, Kakashi thought as he looked at the young woman. Leira… killed my parents… Leira… I’ll get my revenge, Brolio thought as an angered look appeared on his face. Brolio rushed to the young woman with the full intent to kill.

“Brolio! Wait!” Kakashi yelled after him. Damn it Brolio, you’ve been acting strange lately, Kakashi thought.

Brolio started his attack by crazily swinging his two katanas. He first swung horizontally, but Leira, or what appeared to be Leira, brought up her long sword and blocked Brolio’s attack. Brolio swung with his other katana vertically and was again blocked by Leira’s shorter, dagger like, sword. Brolio stepped backwards and then rushed forward again. He pushed his katana forward in a stabbing position. Leira tossed her short sword and long sword into the air and grabbed the katana with both hands. She pulled the katana in and grabbed Brolio’s hand. She then threw the katana and pulled in Brolio. She then punched Brolio in the jaw with incredible force and threw him at a tree. Brolio hit it so hard the tree broke in half on impact. The top part of the tree had landed on Brolio’s stomach. The pain of the landing was so extreme, that Brolio passed.

“You, son of a *****!” Kakashi yelled out as he approached the woman. Kakashi swung his scythe and the woman just smiled sinisterly and ducked from it and kneed Kakashi in the stomach. Kakashi was lifted off the air a few inches and was soon kicked in the side of the head and sent flying at a tree also. Luckily, the tree didn’t break in half like it did with Brolio. Kakashi got back up and looked angrily at the woman. “I’ll kill you if it’s the last thing I’ll do!” Kakashi growled angrily. The woman just s******ed at this outburst from the Wood Elf prince. Kakashi rushed over to Leira as fast as he could. His scythe hit Leira in the arm and made a large cut on it. Leira just smiled at this and swooped in and kicked Kakashi in the stomach. Kakashi stood his ground and returned the favor. Kakashi jumped in the air and kicked Leira in the jaw as hard as he could. The young woman went back a few feet and rushed the electric mage. She tried to knee him in the stomach, but Kakashi sidestepped and close lined the evil princess. Unfortunately what Kakashi hadn’t realized, he hit her so hard that she did a flip in the air and quickly went behind the Wood Elf prince. She grabbed him by the waist and rammed him through a few trees. By the time they hit the second Kakashi had been knocked.

“That’ll take care of that,” Leira said with a sneer.

Re: The Medallion's Curse

The copy of Drayden flexed its claws, "Nice seeing you again."

Sora resisted the urge to start screaming at him, it was only a mimic, after all. She summoned the twin swords, Nova, to her hands. "It shouldn't be too hard to take care of you," she stated.

The demon smiled, its white teeth showing clearly against the black skin, "Oh really? What makes you think it will be so easy?"

"You're just a copy from my memories. I doubt you can even fight as well as the real one." Nova twirled in her grip, the hunter was trying to keep calm but she was nervous. Drayden sneered and rose into the air. She wasn't about to let him have the first move so she rushed and jumped into the sky, whipping the swords at him. His solid black claws clashed with the gleaming red blades, knocking the blows back. Sora did a quick flip and landed on the ground.

He smiled wickedly at her, "So much for taking me out." He summoned his ice demon power and six sharp icicles formed around him. Oh crud, thought Sora, she remembered this attack. The glistening daggers zoomed at her but, with previous knowledge, the female leaped around the icicles with grace. But she hadn't been paying attention to the demon who now spiraled down on her. One of his gigantic claws wrapped around her throat, tightening every second. "'Revenge is bitter sweet.' It's that what they always say?" his smile grew.

"Whatever," Sora gasped out and slashed at his arm with her right blade, lopping it clean off. Then, a thick black smoke started to pour from the wound. Already woozy from being choked, the hunter passed out and fell to the demon's feet.

Re: The Medallion's Curse

Kichaa staggered to his feet in a familiar room. The temple's treasure room remained unchanged, though the door was sealed shut now, with numerous tables and dim lighting. The other thing that was familiar but different was the presence of the group. Everyone was here, but most were still unconscious. Sora was attempting to rise, and so was Brolio's friend Kakashi, but besides them, everyone seemed dead they were so still.

Kichaa himself was laying flat on his back near the center of the room- a problem since he'd have nothing to support him- but one thing was strange. They were in a room they could easily have been dragged to, with the entire group present, but the thing that bothered Kichaa was the lack of pain. The talons had left puncture wounds on his chest, but those wounds weren't causing him even annoyance. Kichaa tried to rise, and found that though he was healed, his body was weak. He felt like he'd drunk too much, and when he was finally on his feet he had that cold sensation you recieve when you rise after sitting for too long.

"Ohhhh," he moaned, "Why do the worst headaches come at the worst times?"

Sora was sitting on a table by now, Kakashi trying to rouse his friend, but Kichaa was preoccupied with the door. It was somehow different than he remembered it being, as if it had been changed ever so slightly... it struck him like a brick very suddenly. The spots for the medallions are gone.

This would not be easy.

Re: The Medallion's Curse

OOC: Sorry for the late post.

BIC: The giant monkey chased the screaming Ziran through the trees. The windigo was afraid of monkeys, as he had been attacked by a rabid one when he was only ten years old.

The monkey screeched an inhuman cry and slammed Ziran into the nearby trees. Before the windigo could even stand, the monkey had kicked him in the face.

Ziran lost consiousness quickly as the giant monkey started to pummel him with a tree stump...

Re: The Medallion's Curse

OoC: Sorry it took so long, but you know how I am .

BiC:

“Come on Brolio, wake up,” Kakashi told his still unconscious friend. The electric mage looked around for a few seconds. Damn, no water anywhere. Looks like I’ll have to shock him up, Kakashi thought deviously with a smirk. The Wood Elf Prince kneeled down next to his friend and lifted his right then looked at it sternly. After a second or two, it was engulfed in sparks. “Say hello to a rude awakening, Brolio,” Kakashi said. The electric mage gently hit Brolio in the chest with his palm. Suddenly, Brolio’s eyes shot open and out of nowhere, he punched Kakashi in the jaw.

“What the f***?” Brolio said nonchalantly as he sat up. The water mage looked to his left and saw his friend looking at him angrily. “What?” Brolio said. Kakashi then punched Brolio in the face. Brolio then went back down to the ground with a *thud*. Brolio then got back up to his feet and looked at Kakashi. “What was that for?” the water mage said showing a very small amount of anger in his voice.

“You punched me in the jaw!” Kakashi yelled.

“No I didn’t,” Brolio answered.

“Oh yeah? Explain this,” Kakashi then pointed at a spot in his jaw that held a bruise.

“You’re clumsy and you ran into a wall,” Brolio answered with a smile.

“One, you’re the only person here who’s clumsy and two, when we get out of here, you’re going down,” Kakashi told the other Wood Elf.

“What, get out of where?” Brolio said as he got up from the ground.

“I don’t know where we are?” answered the Wood Elf Prince. Brolio on the other hand, had already realized where they were when Kakashi had finished.

“Well, I guess we should help everyone else wake up,” Brolio said as he looked at Sudran, Ziran, and Aristo, whom were still unconscious.

“Okay,” Kakashi said.
