The Greatest Warriors. (participants have been notified)
OOC: Here's the first battle of the much (at least I think it was much) anticipated war between the Oblivion Alliance and the BA Knights. The BA Knights can start the second battle, thus being able to choose the participants of that fight.
Kenjin vs Gorin Tuariv vs Mirrorin Ronin vs Latio For this fight. BIC: Gorin held his blade straight. "Hmmm, you've changed your name I see." His opponent held his own weapon against the echo's. He had recieved a letter asking for him to come see Gorin. "You've changed your entire body." replied Mirrorin. Latio was leaning against a boulder, watching the two warriors fight. This was just a friendly sparring match to prepare them for the coming battle. "You could say that." Gorin pulled his sword back and bowed, signifying the end of the sparring match. Their opponents were coming. "Why are we fighting the Encorna's knights?" asked Latio. He could feel that their opponents were less than a mile away. The foxfolk was a little uneasy about enterring battle with the one who had so easily defeated him in the pits. The Oblivion Master picked up on this. "Don't worry, you'll be fighting somebody else. Kenjin's mine." Kenjin and the echo had agreed to a small series of fights between their groups of followers after their last fight. Mirrorin suddenly spoke up. "They're here."

Re: The Greatest Warriors. (participants have been notified)
Tuariv walked along side Kenjin and Ronin. "Raar," he snarled, "why did I agree to this again?"
"Because I asked you to and you couldn't say no to a fight like this." Ronin looked a little uneasy, he was still trying to get used to Tuariv, "I still haven't been told who we're fighting." "Gorin and two of his subordinates." Kenjin answered." "Well we're not far, I can smell them." Tuariv said.

Re: The Greatest Warriors. (participants have been notified)
OoC: I do hope everyone realizes that this is a minor flashback to put things in Mirorin's prospective.
BiC: Mirorin projected his mind's voice, having been listening through electro-pulses to the Knight's conversation. Subordinates? He "said" to the three of them, Let's get this straight, I answer to know one. This is called the Oblivion ALLIANCE for a reason. "They're here" He said. "Or almost, I can't see them physically yet." "Good." Gorin said shortly, readying himself. "I hope you're right Gorin, Kenjin's men may be just as strong as he." Latio mused, also preparing. "I suppose I should be prepared..." The Elementalist put in, beginning to check his equipment once over.

Re: The Greatest Warriors. (participants have been notified)
OoC: Okay, I'm here.
BiC: Ronin had gotten the letter only a few days earlier. It was from Kenjin and it had been a request to fight with him and other Knight, Tuariv, against the Oblivion Alliance. Now he was traveling to some remote place to fight someone he didn't even know. This battle won't last long, Notus commented, not for Ronin's benefit but because the wind demon was iching to fight. If it's as easy as you say, I might not even need your help, the thief said. His statement had the expected effect, he felt the demon become very annoyed. Then the great lizard, Tuariv, turned to them, "You had better be ready to fight." Ronin only nodded. It was hard to believe that this being wasn't more powerful than the Encorna, he was certainly fiercer looking. "Remember to work together. The members of the Oblivion Alliance aren't to be taken too lightly," Kenjin stated with a slight smile on his face. He expects me to work with you? the demon snorted. Then the two others stopped. "They're here," Tuariv said. OoC: So I get Latio, huh. ![]()

OOC: Should we start without Power Shot? I remember seeing a post that said he'd be inactive for a few weeks...

Re: The Greatest Warriors. (participants have been notified)
OoC: I'm still confused as to the exact details, Mikey words it as if they're seperate matches in a lineup, but GS also said "work together."
If it's seperate, then I'm more than happy to begin my battle with Tuariv now. Now let's stop with all the out of character posting, and maybe delete these later on.

Re: The Greatest Warriors. (participants have been notified)
OoC: Thank you for the compliment Power Shot, but power has increased since then and you were the one who approved it. Also, can we clear up that I have no fealty to Gorin, he is in no way superior to me on our chain of command, and that I am technically more an ally than a member of this group. Our politics now revealed to everybody, let's get on with it.
BiC: Mirorin bristled at being called a subordinate once again, but nothing showed except a miniscule narrowing of his eyes, something the others were oblivious of. Keeping his tone even, he said, "Well now," Eyes focused on his opponent, "In the case of no objections, I'd like to begin. I'm rather busy, but felt as though I owed the Alliance my participation in something like this. Afterwards, I have training to do, so I trust the big guy won't rough me up too bad." The badly played joke caught the lizard off guard, and he stared for a bit before turning and walking away, beconing over his shoulder, "Come, we move to a place farther away from the Ecorna and Echo's battle." "Good idea, no sneak attacks now." Mirorin grinned and tilted his head slightly, reveling in his temporary high spirits, which he guessed pissed the lizard off as he shrugged the comment off and continued walking. Trying again, "I'll be back in a little bit, Gorin." He said mock-brightly, chuckling out loud. The Elementalist, no wait... Elemental was more accurate now, and the Brute of the Knights headed towards the designated spot, Mirorin's face taking on a more fierce and concentrated state as they grew closer, as Mirorin was reading the Lizard's brain micropulses and interpreting from them the motives and location he chose. They arrived at a flat area perhaps fity yards wide in a rough square. The two warriors now absolutely bursting with anticipation, knowing the enemy was but feet away and not being able to strike on their honor. Now readied, they took up stance, Mirorin going with a two handed stance on his pike, and Tuariv drawing his claymore and bracing his feet. Taking one sidelong glance at the others, barely visible in his peripherals, Mirorin flipped his pike in his hand, which spun a few times over his palm before he gripped it in the center, changing his mind and going with a single handed stance, digging his feet in as well. "The first move is yours, unless you'd rather I strike."

Re: The Greatest Warriors. (participants have been notified)
OoC: Yeah we'll go first. Sorry but I WILL mess up if I try to write Kenjin.
BiC: Tuariv snorted, a tiny bit of smoke blowing out of his nostrils. "I'll let you take this one." Mirorin smirked and dash forward, dodging a heavy blow by Tuarivs claymore by sidestepping the elemetalist moved quickly to the right and brought his leg up for a side kicker but was only welcomed by Tuarivs massive hand. "I don't NEED two hands for this weapon, go run back to your master." Mirorin didn't reply but with a free hand pulled out his sword and slashed Tuarivs hand. The swipe left a mark, but didn't cut through the flesh. The hulking warrior rubbed the spot, "Not strong enough to break the scales, weak." He pulled an uppercut into Mirorins jaw and then a kick into his chest, leaving him spitting a bit of blood on the grass. "It'll take much more than that." The elementalist replied with a smirk. Tuariv frowned and got into another stance. Mirorin held his pike with his left hand, and the sword with his right. The elemental threw the pike at Tuarivs face who blocked it easily but was greeted seconds later by a still smirking Mirorin. He scratched Tuariv across a forearm and the delivered a kick to the lizards jaw, he left ground and his tail was grabbed quickly and sent into the grass.

Re: The Greatest Warriors. (participants have been notified)
OoC: Latio's profile successfully updated. Just to clarify, this post is from just before the beginning of the battle.
BiC: Latio was nearing his destination. Gorin had sent a message to him three days ago, asking him to come to the Dome's tournament grounds, and they were to fight Kenjin the Encorna's knights. Spectators were welcome, but none dared to near the stadium due to the immense powers that were collecting there. Latio heard blades clash, and ran to where he heard the sound, afraid the battle had started. He morphed the right side of his face to it's mask-like form, and walked up to a boulder, and leaned his back against it. He felt static in the air, and thought Kenjin doesn't use lightning... The foxfolk heard the clashing of swords continue, and Gorin spoke. "You've changed your name to Mirorin, I see..." The thunder god replied with "You've changed your entire body." "You could say that." They stopped sparring and Gorin bowed. "Why are we fighting the Encorna's knights?" Latio asked. Mirorin looked suprised at Latio's sudden appearance, but the Echo, however, was only suprised by the foxfolk's silver-blue facemask, but found out by quickly scanning his mind. "Don't worry, you'll be fighting someone else, Kenjin's mine." Gorin assured. Mirorin spoke up. "They're here" the god mentioned. "Or almost, I can't see them physically yet." "Good." Gorin said forming some strange weapon. "I hope you're right Gorin, Kenjin's men may be just as strong as he." Latio said while drawing his Horizon Scar. "I suppose I should be prepared..." Mirorin added, drawing his katana (OoC: The bio says 'Eastern sword, like a samurai' which is basicly a katana). Kenjin stepped up to the three, and commented to each of them. This struck up a conversation between the two leaders. Tuariv and Mirorin walked into a clearing farther away, until Latio was unable to hear the elementalist's taunts. A thief in a green cloak walked up to him and drew two daggers. "Kenjin said I'm fighting you." he said. "Fine with me, but it'd be smart to get away from here. If those two were fighting right now," Latio pointed to Kenjin and Gorin "we'd be vaporized in an explosion." |

Re: The Greatest Warriors. (participants have been notified)
OoC: That's about right... The comment was meant to assure the presence of the sheath, because he sometimes uses techniques reminiscent of the Battou style, battling from the draw using reverse friction created by the sheath.
Good deduction, it is in fact a katana, now that I think about it, although I haven't been considering it exactly that, hence the profile. ::EDIT:: Also, about the loose use of the word god, you have to understand that my character, unlike certain others in this fight, is not at all immortal. He has a godlike ability in that his energy is limitless, and he can unleash very large amounts of it at once. God-like is more a term humans would refer to him as, because elementalism isn't exactly something they understand. Which brings me to my using the word elemental over elementalist, which I will explain through PM to anyone interested, because it is a rather long story. To say the least, he has an electrical charge because of his being part elemental, a bi-product of his meddling with elemental energy, as elementals are beings norn and made of their element.

Re: The Greatest Warriors. (participants have been notified)
OoC: Okay, let's get this show on the road.
![]() BiC: Ronin watched as Tuariv and the thunder elemental, Mirorin, walked off to conduct their own fight. Kenjin approached the, or what he guessed, was the leader of the Oblivion Alliance and both of them readied a battle stance. That left only the other warrior of the Alliance. Ronin had never seen a foxfolk before and, although Notus had, the demon had never seen a foxfolk like this one. Half of his face was covered in a mysterious mask that gave off a slight, blue glow. He drew a large scimitar as the boy came closer causing Ronin to draw Vaya and Fujin. "Kenjin said I'm fighting you," Ronin commented as soon as he got close. "Fine with me, but it'd be smart to get away from here. If those two were fighting right now," Latio pointed to Kenjin and Gorin "we'd be vaporized in an explosion." Ronin nodded and the two combatants proceeded near the circular wall. It was a normal looking arena with a round, stone wall and slightly sandy ground. What do you think of him? the boy asked Notus. He looks boring. Why couldn't I have had a more challenging opponent? the demon complained. Ronin rolled his eyes. He wasn't too sure about fighting this foxfolk for he seemed...kind. "I am Ronin Ako," he introduced. "And I'm Latio Scaptur," the fox replied, "I believe we should start." Latio suddenly rushed at the thief, his giant scimitar raised for attack. He brought the weapon down on Ronin, who block with the crossing of his twin daggers. Latio quickly retracted the sword and slashed at the boy's side. He blocked again, surprised by the Alliance member's speed. No match for me, though, Ronin predicted. He leaped aside as Latio swung and brought his left dagger, Fujin across the warrior's side. But his demonhide armor deflected the blow. I have to slip between the armor. With that, the thief went on full offensive.

Re: The Greatest Warriors. (participants have been notified)
"It seems you've brought heavy help." commented Gorin. He and the Encorna had waited until the other combatants had moved a safe distance away. Nobody wanted to hurt their own comrades.
"The same goes for you." replied Kenjin. It had been merely two weeks since their last fight, which both believed they had won. This fight was going to determine which grand warrior was more powerful. OOC: Sorry for the short post. I'm just posting because it's my turn and I don't want the thread to get anywhere near dieing. We'll just count Kenjin and Gorin's last battle as a tie, seeing as it was never finished.

Re: The Greatest Warriors. (participants have been notified)
OoC: so, who cares? Sorry I've been taking so long but I've been rather busy lately with certain things. Notice how I'm missing a sig? No time to make one, don't feel like requesting. I'm gonna actually sit here and write me a good post now though, conveniently edited into this one, because I'm going to post this now.
BiC: As Tuariv lifted himself, Mirorin grabbed both of his weapons, but placed the pike on his back again. Likewise he sheathed his sword, but kept his hand on it, taking a misleadingly relaxed stance. The lizard took this as an insult and charged, claymore at the ready. "Hook!" Mirorin yelled, jumping into the air, "Line!" He whipped his pike off his back and sent it hurtling toward's Tuariv's back, making contact head-first and bouncing off wildly. Mirorin hit the ground as the pike spun into his hand, flipping until he forced it it's position. "And.... SINKER!" He yelled as he used the reverse friction of his sheath to pull his blade quickly and bring it through the flesh of Tuariv's back before the brute could turn around. With a flourish, the blade was replaced and Mirorin was perhaps ten feet away. "Fancy, but it didn't hurt too much..." Tuariv laughed.

Re: The Greatest Warriors. (participants have been notified)
"Let's do this," Kenjin growled. "Time to win."
Gorin merely grinned at the words, awaiting for Kenjin to make his move. The two leaders circled around each other, squaring off. Despite his uncertainty, Kenjin unleathed Thenatos. The crystal sword strapped to his back shined brightly, before instantly starting to rebel against him. The sword's negative energy was still strong, too strong to use for long. Still, the Encorna was willing to use it to help his own power. "Kenjin Chaos Burner!" he shouted, as he began to form a blur around Gorin, spinning rapidly around him. "Now you're in for it," he stated, as three forms began to appear around Gorin. Three Kenjins, all blured from speed, seemed to be around him, wielding the crystal sword with trouble. They all stood motionless, straining to keep the sword in hand. "Now then, where am I?" the Encorna asked the other, the noise coming from all sides. A sword struck the echo with its blunt side across the face. Gorin spun around, but the Kenjin forms continued to blur. "Ninja powers combined with my own skills are very useful."

Re: The Greatest Warriors. (participants have been notified)
OoC: “We will kill you. We will burn your fields, steal your treasure, destroy your house, and enslave your children. We will murder your spouse, poison your pets, and pass water on the graves of your ancestors. We will do all this, and the only way to avoiud it is if we can’t find you. Found you!” 100,000,000 ZUbucks for whoever knows what this is from.
BiC: Latio could feel the weight of the Horizon Scar taking it’s toll; his arms were giving in to it’s weight. Ronin quickly noticed this and pressed the attack, trying to penetrate the foxfolk’s demonhide armour. Damnit! Why do you have to be so slow? Latio thought as he tried to track the stealthy thief. The thought was towards the blade, not his worthy opponent. Found you he now thought as he zeroed-in on the wind thief. The foxfolk outstretched his right leg and tripped Ronin, who seemed surprised that Latio could actually get him down. The blind warrior lifted his heavy blade, and sliced downwards upon the fallen thief… |
