Fighting a force of nature

Chillblade slid along, through a meadow that was becoming covered in frost - despite it being midsummer. Chillblade exited the meadow and entered a forest. The leaves of trees began to fall.

Suddenly, Chillblade realised that something was wrong. It halted and stood there, as though frozen in place. The ice and cold spreading slowly...
