Elizabeth's Dreams (4 people)
I’ll cut to the chase.
--~--~--~--~-- Dreams. It’s quite an interesting word, with many meanings. They can be terrifying, joyful, or melancholy. It all depends, even on who is having the dream. What is the dreamer’s life like? What are their problems? What is constantly on their minds? This leads us to one particular girl; Elizabeth Edwards. She was the young daughter of an extremely wealthy man. Raised in quite a large mansion, Elizabeth suffered much when her mother left and her father never paid attention to her. Elizabeth rarely saw him, and was cared for by the maids, most of the time. The little girl, knowing no other life, thought that it was completely normal, but it was not. Around age five, she began to have dreams. These dreams weren’t normal, at all. They started out happy, like any five-year-old’s dream, only to end up a terrifying and horrible nightmare. She often lay in bed at night, hugging her tattered teddy and crying herself back to sleep. Elizabeth was always too afraid to tell anyone; she kept to herself. Life went on, but not easily. Her dreams continued to become more and more corrupted, and they got scarier and scarier. She couldn’t stand it, not at all! One night, after her most terrifying one yet, she fled the mansion and ran around the house in the rain to stand and watch the last spot she had ever seen her mother, hoping it would make her feel better. It did not. She stayed there for hours, when a mysterious man came with a gun. Elizabeth didn’t remember what came next. Be soon she was gone from the world, the wandering spirit of a child, looking for a way to heaven. The Master of Dream, Gaeden, soon learned that long, long ago, an evil wizard had tried to corrupt all of Gaeden’s dreams. It didn’t work, but the magic still lingered, and eventually found its way to one girl, where it would finally escape the mortal world. Originally dream magic, this evil weaved its way into the girl’s dreams and mind, eventually corrupting it. She was killed, and when she was, the magic was freed from the mortal lands, never to be seen again. Gaeden soon learned of this poor soul, and having access to everything dreamt, he collected her dreams and sought out the most reliable mortals he could find. They would enter the dreams with the girl, and kill what the evil had done. This basically would have made it so the dreams were never scary, and she was never killed. However, for that to work, Gaeden’s team would have to clear the most prominent of her dreams. He chose: Merric Everleaf the Drull (me) Zeliro X the Vampire (YouAreAwesome) Bella the Hylian (southern belle) Soledad Marquis the Human (Hopeless Romantic) --~--~--~--~-- I hope you all think this is a good idea… so… yeah. >< Basically, we will just be led through dreams. Sometimes dreams can be a little crazy… like you’re as small as an ant and in an ice cream sundae bowl, being chased by a shoe. Yeah… it’ll be crazy. We’ll have to lead the little girl though the dreams, which we’ll make up as we go. I’m guessing there will be five to ten dreams, depending on how fast they go. We will all be working as a team, fighting the magic infecting her dreams.

Re: Elizabeth's Dreams (4 people)
OoC: Ooh! Don't forget Zeliro! I just think he'd adapt best to the whole dream situation, and he is my favorite, so I'm inclined to put him in tough situations. Oh yeah, and I don't see a link to your character, but I'll find it. Also, I must say, that was a good bit of writing.
BiC: Zeliro flew down the paved path towards the mansion, eyes lit up, towards his mission. A young man nodded at him. "Good day. Are you here to..." Zeliro rudely shoved him out of the way. "I'm here for a mission: I need the prize." "What do you want? You know, the prize is your choice." Zeliro stared the man in the eye bitterly. "Don't worry, I'll find something to kill Ubechok with. And, who are you?" "The name is Merric," the man said. "Merric Everleaf?" Merric nodded. "Good," Zeliro purred. "You shall be my partner for this excavation." Merric visibly recoiled, looking at the vampire. "We still have to wait for the others," the Drull pointed out. OoC: Well, Merric doesn't really like Zeliro: what a surprise, no one does. He's a former killer and vampire.

Re: Elizabeth's Dreams (4 people)
Merric could feel it in the air; it was going to rain soon. Shivering, he rubbed his arms. He couldn't express how badly he wanted to scoot away from Zeliro, yet, he didn't, because he didn't want to be rude. He sat down on the steps gingerly, placing his elbow on his knee and his head in his hand, blocking his view of Zeliro.
"Not looking at me, eh?" a small yet deep voice whispered in his ear. Merric visibly jerked, before realizing that Zeliro was standing right in front of him. Quickly standing up and brushing off his leggings, he shook his head vigorously. "No, no, sir. Really, it was not that." Zeliro backed off an inch, and squinted his eyes. "Are you sure?" Merric averted his eyes. "Yes, I'm sure," he stated shakily. Gulping, he hoped that Zeliro would either believe him, or pay no attention to the fact that Merric was uncomfortable with him. As quickly as he had kneeled in front of Merric, Zeliro was standing up again. "Whatever you say," he sighed, turning around to stare down the barren road.

Re: Elizabeth's Dreams (4 people)
OoC: What an awesome idea! ^_^ I'll definately join in. I'll use Bella, link in sig. ^_^
BiC: Bella had heard in a local inn of a mission to save a little girl. She didn't know much about it, just that it would be very dangerous, and pay very well. Bella had thought long and hard, and finally decided she would go apply for the job. It was a few hours after noon when Bella arrived. The air hung heavy with immenent rain, giving the whole place a depressing atmosphere. Perhaps she was imagining things, but Bella thought that even if the sun was shining brightly and warming everything the mansion before which she stood would still look just as gloomy. Bella walked up to see two people on the steps before the mansion. One looked to be about her age, and fairly average in appearance. The other however...Bella had never seen anything like him. He looked like he was half bat! Realizing that she was beginning to stare, Bella hastily transferred her gaze to the other young man before her. "Hi," she said, holding out her hand. "I'm Bella. I'm here about the mission."

Re: Elizabeth's Dreams (4 people)
OoC: Well, that's #3! Just 1 more, and we can start.
BiC: Zeliro looked at Bella coldly. "I'd like to say 'Nice to meet you', but that would be an obvious lie," he interjected. Bella recoiled. This man was not polite at all. "Do you know, that was rude," she pointed out to the vampire. Right by the two, Merric winced as Zeliro caught her with a hard backhand slap across the cheek. She stumbled a bit, glaring. The archer drew her longbow and pointed it at the vampire. "Are you asking for a fight?" she inquired. "Well, you're getting one." Bella fitted an arrow. Zeliro created several ice crystals around him. The two cried out and fired the attacks at one another. Before anything made its mark, vines popped out of the ground, grabbing the arrow and the crystals. Merric's eyes, narrowed in concentration, suggested he had done it. "Stop, you two. We won't be able to do the mission if you're fighting." Zeliro's fiery gaze instantly made Merric regret his choice, but then the vampire calmed down. "You know," he said nonchalantly, "I don't like working with others. Perhaps this mission would be easier if I just..." His wings spread, his claws extended, and he blew fire into the air in a dragon-esque style. "If I just...kill you all." The other two snapped to attention as he stepped into a fighting stance, ready to strike. OoC: Zeliro's not a friendly guy. In fact, although he fights against evil, you could call him a villain. His only current goal in life is to murder an evil scientist; not for the good of the people, but revenge. So, keep in mind that you're partnering with a villain.

Re: Elizabeth's Dreams (4 people)
OoC: Yeah, we need one more. And Merric isn't so normal. His hand are about four times normal size, dark-skinned, and have claws. (It's because of his race).
BiC: Merric glared at Zeliro. "I don't know who you are, or what you think you are, but if we're gonna get through this, and if we're gonna get our reward, you better shape up and we all better start working together!" Zeliro, obviously having heard, but pretending not to, advanced on the girl. The Drull, having a bone crushing strength in his hands, grabbed Zeliro by the wrist and held on tight. Stopping, Zeliro turned around to glare at Merric. "Who do you think you are? You're not stronger than me; that's for sure." Quickly ducking, Merric narrowly missed a blow to the head. Using this as a chance to give Zeliro a little discipline, Merric grabbed Zeliro's leg, pulling him half over, and struck him on the cheek. He visibly winced, trying not to show that it hurt. "Will you stop now?" came Merric's cold voice. Zeliro glared up, and replied, "As long as you and that other thing over there don't piss me off." Merric released his grip. "You're the one who started it all, I recall. You take everything offensively. Get a grip."

Re: Elizabeth's Dreams (4 people)
OoC: No way! You're beating him down? Well, we're all on one side, so I'll take it in stride.
BiC: Merric released his grip. "You're the one who started it all, I recall. You take everything offensively. Get a grip." Zeliro's fiery eyes turned, once again, on Merric, who this time stood his ground. His eyes relaxed finally and he managed a smile. "Is this what it is going to be? The two of you against me?" Merric stared at him incredulously. "We're...on the same side, remember?" Zeliro's body loosened. "Ah yes, those cursed rules. Well, I'm a bit bored now, so we shall fight. I won't kill either of you, though." "What!" Merric exclaimed. "That's prepostrous! That's-" "Let it be," Bella said sharply, stopping Merric in his tracks. "Bella...but..." She cocked her head. "I'd like a chance to teach this loser a lesson, if you know what I mean." She winked knowingly. Merric was lost for words. "B...but..." Zeliro pointed his claws. "So be it, woman. Let's go!" Before either of the men could see the movement, Bella fired an arrow, which Zeliro barely caught. "This should be interesting..."

Re: Elizabeth's Dreams (4 people)
OoC: Yeah, Soledad's my man.
BiC: Rain pelted the windows of his room. Soledad couldn't seem to sleep. The strange part was, nothing was bothering him at all; he had no problems to deal with. After much thought, there was nothing that could keep him awake. As he tried to reason out what it could be, he finally drifted off. His dreams were troubled, too. He appeared in a large stone chamber, colums surrounding him in a large oval. They were very distant though, and as he looked up he saw the night sky raining in on him. But the water never touched his skin. He stared around the room. At the far end was a large statue of some man sitting in a giant stone seat. Slowly he approached it. There was a strange feeling of awe for this masterpiece. As he stopped and stared at the statue it rose from its chair. "You have been chosen!" it boomed in a gravelly voice. "You have been chosen to stop the corrupt magic that haunts the dreams of mortals. Only you and three others can stop it. Go now!" "But...where do I go?" Soledad pleaded. "You will know" the statue said as the dream faded away. Back in his bed Soledad bolted upright. He looked around, nothing had changed. He looked out the window and saw it was morning, and the rain had stopped. Quicky he dressed and left the inn, heading wherever he felt inclined to go. After a few hours of travelling he went to a town with a large mansion sitting alone at the top of a hill. "This is the place" he thought somberly to himself. It gave off an odd aura. As he came closer to the mansion he saw three other people. He stopped to observe from afar. It seemed that they were arguing, but he couldn't hear what was said. To get a better look he cloaked himself and creeped up to the group. A regular woman fired an arrow at some man with a cloak on. He caught it, seemingly with no trouble. "What speed!" Soledad thought. As he looked at the last character, he was startled. "Are those...his hands?!" he exclaimed looking at the Droll's fearsome claws. "Some group I've got here." He moved back down the lane and uncloaked, so he wouldn't be attacked needlessly. Merric noticed him first since he wasn't in the battle yet. "Hello!" he yelled, "Who are you?" "I am the last of this party it seems" was all Soledad replied. "I meant a name" Merric said as he got closer. "What's your name?" "I know what you meant. I'm just...reluctant to reveal it." "Why?" Bella asked, now snapped out of the heat of the battle. Zeliro was still in his stance. "Because people, or anything else for that matter" he motioned at Zeliro and Merric, "shouldn't be trusted." "Well I'll tell you ours. My name's Bella, that one over there is Merric, and he would be Zeliro." Bella sneered while introducing the vampire. "Soledad. I guess we're all here for the same reason?" "I guess so" Merric interjected. "What a weakling. We couldn't get someone stronger to help? I guess I'm gonna be the one doing everything" Zeliro commented. "Books and covers vampire, books and covers" Soledad replied calmly. "Don't try to upset me, it's not worth it." "Well if you're not weak, then let's see what you've got. We were just about to fight when you came in." "Are you sure you want to try this?" Soledad asked with an air of confidence. "Bring it on little man" sneered Zeliro. Soledad and Zeliro got in ready stances, while Bella and Merric stood by to make sure neither killed the other. "Who do you have your money on?" Bella asked Merric. "I don't know about this one" she motioned towards Soledad. "We'll just see."
