Conquest of Feudal Japan
Ooc: This is a conquest-styled battle, set in 13th Century Japan. Anyone who joins must pick, are you on the attacker or defender's side. The attacker will always be Arai and his troops. Anyone who joins Arai's side will become part of the Alliance of Terror. This is set in 13th century Japan, so be careful on how your character comes onto the scene. I will post a map of where the battle takes place, but this will be the only place I will post the size of the clans, and the territories they control. Only a max of four people can join the Alliance of Terror.
Note: There will never be a battle against the Shimanzu, because they are the Oda clan's ally. Here is the map of the clans: Not available yet. Here is the map of the battle: Not available yet. Bic: Arai and his troops marched. It had been days of marching, but the troops had many rests, so they were far from tired. They marched to their destination, the Jutar province, the closest province to Oda lands. They planned to travel to Ino, the capital of the Mori clan. Arai was on his heavy cavalry, and guarded by a group of five horsemen, which were the best fighters in Arai's army. They arrived to the edge of Jutar, and saw the castle. "Alright men..." said Arai. "We will take the castle, and hold them in seige until they surrender. After they surrender, we will burn the castle, and move on." Just then, a large army of soldiers came from the castle "A preemptive strike?" said Arai. "Well then, we'll have to finish them off faster!" EDIT: I'm making the maps larger, since they are unreadable even for me. Mikey B, watch how you bring a god from Hyrule into feudal Japan, because the majority of every army must be humans. Plus, the Mori clan is religious, so having a small band of demons or something like that is acceptable. If any of you know where I can find a GOOD image hosting site to put up the maps, please tell me. Photobucket stinks because it resizes my maps to unreadable sizes. |

Re: Conquest of Feudal Japan
OOC: Ahhh, we meet again mister Danciu. I'll be bringing Gorin, the master of the Oblivion Alliance. So, is this alliance of terror thing going to transcend this battle and move on to the clan wars? That's just what I'm calling the war between the BA Knights and the Oblivion Alliance until Powershot and I can think of a better name.
BIC: Gorin stood at the head of the defensive forces. One of the Mori clan's top military officials was a wrath demon, and Gorin felt abliged to help the species that he had once been. The echo turned to his forces. The Oblivion Master hadn't been able to take command of his own forces yet, so he merely borrowed several hundred soldiers from the Mori clan's elders. He had no interest in taking this Japan however. "Japan is but a quarter of the size of the foreign continent, which is mostly under Jamenda's control now. Once Jamenda has finished taking the continent I will return with my new allies and retake my postion of power." wrote Gorin. He was making a war journal to keep him busy. Latio came running up to Gorin. The foxfolk had proven to be a valuable ally from the moment he joined the alliance, and Gorin was glad to have chosen him over Jodd. "They're here Gorin." he said. The Oblivion Master smiled. "This is going to be interesting." he said. OOC: Any other Oblivion Alliance member who wants to join can join.

Re: Conquest of Feudal Japan
OoC: Weeeee! I'm the Oblivion Alliance's official scouter!
BiC: "Not really, by the sounds of it they only have a few guys, but their armed for battle. They've got to have at least ten pounds of armour on them!" "Only a few? They'll be dead real quick then, seeing as we've got a couple hundred trained men." The echo peered out the window, and saw that the small army was smashing through the defences with great ease. The leader was on a horse, and he carried a katana. Gorin could feel a slight unholy power eminating from the blade. "He's got an unholy sword, that's why he's killing so many of our guys." "What powers does it have?" Latio asked. "I can't tell, but I know it's the only reason why he can kill so many guys." OoC: Short post, can't type, too tired, not... enough... sleep. |

Re: Conquest of Feudal Japan
Ooc: Its going to take a while for me to find a site that'll host my maps, but i'll explain how the maps work for now. The clan map is color-coded, telling which clan controls which province. Ronin(grey-green) territories are not owned by a lord(or daimyo), and are inhabitied by warrior monks, the most fiercest of fighters in Japan.
Bic: Arai and his heavy cavalry charged through the large army of Jutar. They consisted of samurai with a simple katana, and light armor. Aai's army consisted mostly of cavaly, which were equipped with spears. He also had archers behind his cavalry, which were going to be used in the final siege. Arai and his cavalry easily broke through the samurai defenses, and made it to the castle gate. "Lord Aai, the warrior monks!" shouted one of his guards in terror. "Don't be afraid..." said Arai. "I will kill them...so make room for me." Arai stepped off of his horse, and walked into the large entrance of the castle. Samurai charged at Arai, so he unsheated the Katana of Moarte. The samurai stood in fear of the legendary weapon, but then attacked Arai. Arai stpped back, and sliced off the arm of a soldier. Other soldiers sliced at Aai, but he blocked with his sword. He then kicked the samurai back, and sliced at another fighter. "You puny warriors are no match for me!" shouted Arai. He cut at every soldier nearby, and deflected the strikes from other soldiers. One samurai made it to Arai without dying, and cut at his armor. The sword was knocked back by the power of the armor, and left the soldier in a terrible position. "Everyone stand back!" said an ominous figure. "He's mine." The samurai stopped, and stepped back. The ominous figure came out from the shadows. "You must have great courage to attack the Mori." said the figure. "Courage is weak alone." said Arai. "It is useless without power. For I have power." "Hmph." grunted the figure. "You must be the fearless Lord Arai of the Oda. I will tell you my name for your sake. My name is..." |

Re: Conquest of Feudal Japan
OOC: Hehe, nice sig Latio.
BIC: "My name is Gorin." announced the ominous man. His skin was a dark black color, as was his clothing. Two yellow eyes with slits for pupils were the only part of the echo's body that weren't black. Arai prepared to fight. The introductions were finished, although the conversation wasn't. "Tell me, why do you help the Mori clan?" asked Arai. Gorin created a naginata out of thin air before replying. "I used to be the demonic god of wrath. That is, until I died. One of the Mori clan's elders is a wrath demon." Arai raised an eyebrow at this tidbit of strange information. "I didn't know demons had their own gods, nor that very many felt a sense of honor." The warrior expected that comment to anger Gorin, but found that it only amused him. "There is much that you don't know about demons. Besides, I'm not a demon anymore." Arai noticed that Gorin was preparing to start the fight. "So, what are you then?" Arai dug his heel into the ground in preparation to block the first attack. "I am an echo." replied Gorin. The last word actually echoed around the battlefield, surprising many soldiers and scaring several horses. Without further adue Gorin charged at Arai. OOC: A naginata is a double sided sword. (think Darth Maul)

Re: Conquest of Feudal Japan
OoC: Hand-crafted with the newest in MS paint technology.
BiC: Latio knew what to do. He'd control the army, and if Gorin was having trouble with the daimyo he'd interfere. The foxfolk didn't like this job, he'd rather scout, or be on lookout duty, though he enjoyed ordering complete strangers around. A dense circle of warriors formed a sort of ring for Gorin and Aria to duel in, but they moved away from the fighters when they got too close. "Ready to give up?" the battle-hardend daimyo taunted. "Are you?" Gorin answered while forcing a vine to come out of the ground to trip Aria. "ready to die that is?" |
