It has been a while, hasn't it? (Scoria)

OOC: Please excuse the horrible title. I just branched the title off of the title of my current battle with Powershot.

BIC: Gorin stood at the entranceway to the Dome. The echo never set foot in the Dome, as that would alert the Dome to his presence. He prefered to stay away from the Dome for awhile, but today was slightly different.

He opened the door and handed a letter to his domerri spy. The domerri mainly carried out letters that Gorin wrote, which usually were challenges against warriors of the Dome. Gorin had recently fought against Kenjin.

The echo had decided to see if Tuariv wanted to fight. After all, Tuariv and Kenjin are more fun if you've already fought the other. Gorin remembered fighting Tuariv twice long ago. Once he won, once Tuariv won.

The echo wanted to break that tie, so he sent a letter to Tuariv.

Dear Tuariv Knil,
Meet me outside the Dome, on the foreign continent. Be aware that this will be a fight however, so don't expect to be sitting at a fancy dinner table, sipping tea.
Sincerely, An old opponent.

OoC: Why does this "Echo Side" sound so familiar...

BiC:

Tuariv slashed against his opponent, brought up his weapon, then brought it down with amazing force. The claymore shattered his opponents katana, "Enough!" A voice called out.

The hulking warrior sheathed his weapon, a figure materialized in front of him, it was a teacher from the Dome. "Good practice," he turned around to Tuarivs opponent, "the both of you."

Tuariv gave a short bow and left for his quarters. Upon arrival a short ghost was sitting on his bed, "Sir, a message for you." It held out a letter to Tuariv.

The lizard grunted and took it, the Domerii bowed then sunk into the floor. Let's see, Tuariv thought, what this is about. He ripped it opened and read the message-

Dear Tuariv Knil,
Meet me outside the Dome, on the foreign continent. Be aware that this will be a fight however, so don't expect to be sitting at a fancy dinner table, sipping tea.

Sincerely, An old opponent.

"Sitting at a fancy table and drinking tea huh? It's never been that easy for me, why would I expect it?" The lizard asked rhetoricly.

Throwing the letter to the floor he made his way out of his quarters, "Take me to the foreign continent, and don't waste my time." Tuariv said to nobody.

A door materialized in front of him, plain iron without any decoration. Tuariv grabbed the doornob and pulled it open.

OoC: I'll let you describe the scenery.

Re: It has been a while, hasn't it? (Scoria)

Tuariv found himself in what appeared to be an abandoned castle. The stone walls were covered in dust. The floor was covered with a regal red carpet. The lizard looked out one of the holes in one of the walls which served as the windows. Surrounding the castle was a burnt town. Large rocks were still smashed through buildings, which meant that somebody had attacked with a large army.

"Nice scenery, isn't it?" Tuariv spun around to find Gorin leaning in a doorway. "Who are you?" he asked. The echo gave a small chuckle. "Has it really been that long?" he asked. Tuariv searched through his memory, but found that he didn't know who this dark man was.

Gorin kicked the door open. Inside was what appeared to be the throne room. There were several cut marks on the floor and walls from missed attacks, and the throne itself was laying on its side. Gorin waltzed right into the room and sat on the side of the throne.

Tuariv followed, being careful in case this strange man had a trap prepared. "I thought you wanted to fight me?" growled the lizard. Gorin smiled. "Oh yes, I forgot your lack of manners. However, you probably want to know who I am before we fight. Does this sound familiar? I'll get you one day you oversized iguana!!!"

That line brought the memory of Gorin and Tuariv's very first battle. Gorin had lost, as all of his attacks depended on his arms at the time and Tuariv broke them. He had yelled that line out before fleeing. "I heard that you died." said Tuariv. Tuariv was oblivious to the exact reason of Gorin's death, but Tokumaru had invited any Dome students who knew Gorin to his funeral.

Gorin materialized a short sword and a broadsword in his hands. "You can't keep the son of Harges down." he said. The echo stood up and motioned to Tuariv that the fight had finally started.

"Always cocky ay Gorin?" Tuariv said, unsheathing his long weapon and brandishing it side to side.

"Your weak attempts to anger me are all for not." Gorin replied.

"Then let's just fight."

Tuariv leaped forward pulling back the Leviathan for a hard swipe, Gorin stood up and jumped into the air and pushed off of the throne leaping over Tuariv.

There was silence for a moment and then a loud Smash as the throne was turned into rubble, Tuariv had plowed right into it. Gorin smiled, dust had flown everywhere and the echo thought Tuariv to be stupid, he was proven wrong.

Out of the dust Tuariv ran and landed a major hard hitting punch in Gorins stomach, the echo spit and was sent back into a colloum, it snapped in two and landed on the ground, more dust in the air.

Re: It has been a while, hasn't it? (Scoria)

"Hmph, pathetic." said Tuariv. He expected that he had broken the echo's will to fight, as he had gotten the first hit as well as doing much damage. "You talking about yourself there Tuariv?" asked a voice from under the rubble of the pillar.

The dark figure that was Gorin pushed several piles of rubble out of the way. He didn't seem to be in the least hurt. "I'll admit, you surprised me there." said Gorin. Gorin noticed thathis swords had flown out of his hands when he was knocked through the pillar.

The echo merely materialized another broadsword and shortsword out of the air. "Come now Tuariv. You may have an advantage in strength, although I am fairly close, but I can sustain quite a bit of damage before even noticing pain. That's what Echo Side does to you."

Tuariv decided to see if Gorin could come anywhere near matching his offensive. The echo could tell, as Tuariv didn't come charging at him. Gorin leapt at the lizard, his blades held high. Tuariv brought the Leviathan up to block.

Gorin smashed his broadsword down on Tuariv's claymore. Tuariv was surprised at the amount of strength Gorin had. The echo wasn't quite as strong as Tuariv, but close enough to make the lizard strengthen his block.

Gorin pushed off of Tuariv's sword and flipped over the lizard. As Gorin was landing he slashed at Tuariv with his shortsword. The attack wasn't meant to harm Tuariv, merely to show off the fact that Gorin could have struck him down at that moment.

The blade barely cut deep enough for Tuariv to start bleeding. "I see your defense hasn't changed." commented Gorin. Tuariv spun around to face the Oblivion Master. He'd have to take Gorin a bit more seriously than he had been taking him...

OOC: At this rate Tuariv and Gorin are going to bring the whole castle down on themselves. Hmmm, not a bad idea...
