Long time no see.. (someone I've fought before)

OOC: This is essentially a rematch between Gorin and somebody that he has fought before. Remember that your character shouldn't be able to recognize Gorin, as Gorin has a new body and voice.

BIC: "And Julushu beats Hanz!" shouted the announcer. Gorin had entered a tournament under the name "Julushu". His name would have caused some people to panic, due to the Oblivion War.

He stepped out of the ring, as it was time for the match that would determine who he would fight in the final round. The echo smiled when he saw that one of the fighters was somebody he knew. Despite being just a scrap of memory, Gorin was able to remember that he had fought before.

Very unsurprising to Gorin was that his past opponent defeated their own opponent. The person didn't recognize Gorin as he stepped into the ring for the final fight of the tournament.

OoC: Oh you know you want to fight Kenjin. Leader v. Leader.

BiC:

Kenjin's body moved with blurred apprearance as his opponent went soaring out of the ring, and into several dozen people. He sighed, he craved for a better challenge. The person he had fought was by no means on the standard he had come to expect. The standard had been long ago set by those such as Tuariv and Sin, and the plateau he had reached was occupied by such warriors as Tokumaru or the Ominea, whom he had long before wished to defeat.

But he himself had chosen to take a leave of absence from the Dome that day, in order to further train himself on the fighting styles of the outside world. As long as he was going to be a powerful warrior, one of the strongest in the world, he wanted to be able to practice.

Lately, he had been training some Jujitsu, a ninja style he had found most interesting. His teacher, Kyô, was a samurai, and he wished to know more ways to battle the swordstyle that Tokumaru had made his own.

The announcer cried out the name of the Encorna, but no one feared it as of now. Now the days of the Master of Darkness were long since gone, so he stepped into the ring of the final match. A man was waiting for him in that ring, a man he felt that he had known for a long time. The Elements that resided in him were far too familiar. Where had he seen this man before?

OOC: Ahhh, welcome Powershot. This will be a very interesting fight.

BIC: Gorin stood with his arms resting limply at his sides. His opponent, now Kenjin the Encorna, was standing at the other side of the arena. The echo looked deep into his memory to try and remember all he could about Kenjin.

Gorin's last memory of Kenjin was seeing him standing side by side with Tokumaru. He remembered scanning Kenjin's mind to find that the Encorna thought of Gorin to be a lesser class than himself and Tuariv. The echo's only memory after that was the driving pain of a strange disease which had driven him insane.

The disease had taken his immortality and clotted his judgement with pure insanity. It was because of this that he had to be taken care of by Tokumaru. The echo remembered his last words. "A mortal man's life is fifty years. It's a pity I never lived to see mine." he had uttered.

Gorin smiled. Nobody knew that the dark god had been reborn in a new body, and very few even knew that the dark god had died at all. The echo stood ready to face Kenjin. "I'm sure that you will consider me to be an equal after this." thought Gorin.

OOC: I left it at that, as I don't know if Kenjin has heard of Gorin's death or not.

OoC: Kenjin knows all!

BiC:

"I doubt that," the Encorna muttered, taking his side in the ring. "I took care of noting your death and revival when it happened. The Domerii report on anything interesting that happens in the Dome. I didn't expect to see you though."

"We have both changed," Gorin answered, gesturing to his new body. "But I have grown stronger than you."

"We will see about that," Kenjin answered. "I have become the Encorna, you are nothing but Kyô's dog, ready to fight whenever he commands. I take orders from no one, as a powerful fighter should."

Gorin's face intensified into a sea of hatred. "Tokumaru is just as much your master as he is my teacher."

"I disagree," the Encorna said smiling. "While you must listen and obey like a dog, I have more power than you do." Two swords materialized in his hands, gleaming blue against the greying scene around them. He held his left sword out, while pointing the other to the ground, his own sword style. "I heard you had gathered members to follow you, but I am afraid that you will never have the members that I do, that of the Knights."

Gorin's face was twisting into hatred of the deepest kind. Exactly as Kenjin wanted it.

OOC: Err, I don't know how Kenjin heard Gorin's thought, but oh well.

BIC: Gorin's mind filled with hatred. "How dare you call me a dog! I have suffered an entire year of endless torture, and I don't need any **** from you!" he shouted. The echo materialized a short sword in one hand, and a broadsword in the other.

He didn't know what Kenjin was capable of, but Kenjin didn't know any more than he did. "So, care to dance?" asked Gorin. He charged at Kenjin. The echo swung the broadsword in a downward swipe, which was easily blocked by the Encorna.

Kenjin twisted around and slashed at Gorin with one of his blades. The attack was stopped by Gorin's short sword, which stopped it at the same speed as the blade had come. Kenjin shoved off of Gorin's blades and flipped to the other end of the arena.

The echo slammed his fist into the ground, taking control of the nearby enviroment. The little tufts of grass that poked through the cracks in the arena floor suddenly grew to immense size. They stretched out to grab Kenjin.

The Encorna rolled to the side, slashing many of the large stalks on his way. The stalks only regrew. "Is there any example of fire nearby?!" thought Kenjin. He knew that the stalks would just keep regrowing and attacking again no matter how much he cut them.

He sliced a stalk that was trying to creep up behind him before looking intently into the crowd. Much to his joy, one of the spectators was smoking a pipe. He reached out with his mind, and activated one of his phoenix tear abilities.

"Hephasteus Torch!" he yelled. Much to the dismay of the pipe smoking spectator, his pipe irrupted into flame. The fire flew over to Kenjin in a continuous stream. The Encorna's arms and legs were covered by the red hot element. Once Kenjin's arms and legs were covered the Encorna stopped absorbing the fire from the pipe.

Its owner threw the pipe to the ground and stepped back several feet. None of the crowd wanted to get anywhere near the flame spewing object, thinking it to be cursed. Kenjin smiled as the stalks flew after him again.

Gorin however, was already preparing for another attack.

The Encorna leapt back into the arena, his arms and legs blazing with the fire of the Phoenix Tear. Kenjin clamped his hands together, aiming at Gorin, who was motionless absorbing from the enviroment.

"Kenjin Chaos Gunner!" he shouted, "Element of Fire!"

The flames moved from the forearms of the Encorna to his palms collecting into balls of red lights on his hands. Without waiting, the began to form tiny balls, and blasted at Gorin with intense speeds, hitting the fighter while he was charging causing Gorin to lose his balance.

"Attack," Kenjin muttered, creating the Swords of Balance in his hands and swiping.

Gorin ducked under the Encorna's first slash, and retaliated with an upward swipe with his short sword. Kenjin was ready, and blocked Gorin's counterattack with his other blade. Gorin backflipped away, dodging sword slashes from Kenjin.

The echo landed on one foot, but spun around and surprised Kenjin by attacking with a hook kick. The kick caught the handle of one of the Encorna's blades, and knocked it out of Kenjin's hand. The sword flew into the air and landed just short of the crowd.

Gorin took advantage of this. As soon as he landed from his hook kick, he stabbed at Kenjin with his short sword. Kenjin was stabbed in the hip, just a little over deep enough to start bleeding. Gorin raised an eyebrow in temporary surprise when a blue light came out of Kenjin's hip, rather than blood.

The Encorna was surprised that an angry person could perform such an impressive combo without a single flaw. Gorin saw the surprise on his face, and laughed. "You're used to fighting Tuariv, who gets angry quite easily. I however, rarely lose my temper."

Kenjin grinned at the shorter warrior, flipping over his back with ease, landing behind Gorin. "Ah, but Tuariv is a much better fighter than you are Gorin," Kenjin answered, striking the back of Gorin's body with the butt of his sword, a trick he had learned from Tokumaru.

Gorin winched at the pain, but pressed his attack, swerving around the attack both of Kenjin's swords. Kenjin moved gracefully to black both swords' attacks against his person, though there was little reason to. I suppose I'm a humane person now, or at least, I wish to have a fun battle, he thought, calling forth the inner powers that resided inside his form.

"Paralysis!" he shouted, striking at Gorin's body with a lightning like attack. Gorin lost control over his body's movement, struggling in vain to move. He could not even move his clothing. "Simple, but effective, not even Tokumaru can defeat this attack." Kenjin's boot was brought to Gorin's face, sending him flying into the arena's walls.

The spell wore off soon after that, and Gorin was ready for more combat. He charged at Kenjin, expecting every possible attack from what he had already seen.

"Element of Darkness," Kenjin muttered, drawing the darkness of the shadows around him. "Hades Nightmare!" he shouted, as a spiraling vortex formed around them.

Darkness clouded Gorin's vision as Kenjin and the ring vanished from sight. He could not see anything, he could only feel and hear. But Kenjin floated off the ground, and concealed his presence from Gorin, preparing to strike once again.

Gorin couldn't see a thing. In every direction was endless darkness. The echo refrained from slashing wildly in all directions. Instead, he brought his swords into a defensive position. He knew that it would be pointless, as Kenjin could just circle around, but the echo needed the few seconds that would afford him to think.

So far, all of Kenjin's attacks had been based on elements. The last word struck a cord in the back of Gorin's mind. "Of course!" he laughed to himself. Kenjin had been about to strike, but decided to see the futile attempt that Gorin would make to rid himself of the blindness.

Gorin spoke to thin air, not quite knowing Kenjin's location. "You'd be interested to know that I have control over the elements as well. I just can't focus them into such fancy maneuvers." He took control of the element of light, surrounding himself in a barrier of light.

The bright element cancelled out the shadows in Gorin's head, as he forced it to work its way into his head through every possible opening. Once the shadows were gone Gorin let down the light field. He could see again, but his eyes had to adjust from the sudden change in brightness.

Kenjin attacked Gorin while the echo was adjusting to the different light. He swung his sword towards Gorin. The former god's vision had fully adjusted right before the blade struck. He dodged to the side, but the Encorna's sword still grazed across Gorin's shoulder.

The echo backed away from his opponent. "Such a large being... How well can you dodge?" Gorin threw his shortsword at Kenjin. The Encorna easily sidestepped the attack, only to find that Gorin had created another shortsword. The echo began to fling swords at Kenjin at rapid speeds.

With every sword that Kenjin easily dodged, another one came close enough to gash a small cut in the Encorna. Finally, Kenjin had had enough. He charged towards Gorin, ducking and weaving to avoid the flying blades. When he was close enough he shouldered Gorin, knocking the echo into the air.

Gorin landed on one knee. Rather than swords, he was now carrying blade edged boomerangs. They were attached to strings, which were fastened around his wrists. "You ready to stop the childsplay Kenjin?" he called across the arena.

Hearing the echo yell this, several members of the audience fled. The fight was already too close to them, and more furious fighting would mean dead audience members.

OOC: I realize how far fetched it seems that Gorin would get rid of the Hades Nightmare that way, but it is possible. In Gorin's bio it says that he can add surrounding elements to his weapons and himself. Adding the light element to his body is what drove out the darkness.

Kenjin grinned as Gorin began to throw the boomarangs directly at him, attacking without mercy.

Just how I like it, Kenjin thought, blocking the boomarangs with his swords, but they returned to the former god. "Very nice Gorin," Kenjin muttered, as swords began to form around his opponent.

"Thanks, now here's round two!" Gorin shouted back, as the knives began to attack as a wall, striking at the Encorna.

"Kenjin Chaos Burner!" Kenjin shouted, speeding himself up to blurring speeds, enough to slow down the knives movement in comparission. Gripping his swords, he slashed against the knives, striking against the slower moving steel at angles, turning the knives back towards their owner. His blades swirled in a blue blur, spinning almost like tops as all the knives were repelled.

Gorin stared in amazement as all the blades were repelled in just the blink of an eye, the amount of time it had taken to repel all the blades for the Encorna. Gripping both boomarangs, they swelled to sizes immense in order to defend their master against their own attacks.

"Gorin, I'm getting bored, could you make it more interesting?" Kenjin asked with a grin. His anger warfare wouldn't work on Gorin, but it was always good fun for the Encorna.

"I think I can work something out." replied Gorin. This was more of a friendly training session to him, rather than an all out fight. He threw the boomerangs straight into the air. In less than the time it took them to come back to the echo, Gorin had created a new weapon for the battle.

Sitting on the ground in front of Gorin was a ballista. The spear firing weapon was ready with several dozen spears. That wasn't it however, as Gorin also created what appeared to be oversized tops. These tops however, were covered with blades.

The Oblivion Master hoisted up the ballista with ease. As if on cue, which they probably were, the blade edged tops started to spin after Kenjin. The Encorna easily leapt over each one, slashing them on his way down. "Is that all Gorin?" he asked. This was boring to him.

The echo smiled. "Not even close. You should have thought before slashing those tops." Kenjin was puzzled as to what Gorin meant. The echo responded to the Encorna's confusion by firing the ballista at him. Kenjin backflipped several times, dodging ballista spears.

Kenjin soon found that he was near where the tops had finished spinning. They were glowing red. "Hmph, nice one." The tops erupted with huge explosions, destroying a large corner of the arena. Gorin smiled. "How did you like that Kenjin?" he asked.

The Encorna had leapt into the air merely nanoseconds before the tops blew up. The explosion didn't reach him, but came dangerousely close. Gorin threw the ballista aside while waiting for Kenjin's answer.

He already knew that Kenjin wouldn't admit that he had tricked the Encorna, but the mere fact that Kenjin would have the memory of being tricked by an echo would give Gorin enough pleasure.

"Very nicely executed," the Encorna replied, as he flipped back into the fight. Two swords materialized in Gorin's hands as the two began a fierce duel. "But tell me, is that the best you have to offer me?"

"No," Gorin muttered, as the four blades clashed against each other. "Not even close."

"Good."

The Encorna pressed his attack, driving Gorin further and further back. Behind his back, Gorin materialized a large number of bombs, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. This is far too easy, almost as though he wants me to press him back, Kenjin thought, as his blades striked against Gorin's skin. Gorin grinned despite the small amount of pain he recieved.

"Now," Gorin muttered in a deathly voice that would have frozen the blood in Kenjin's veins, provided the Encorna had blood in his body. He leapt up and kicked the Encorna with strength he had not shown before, knocking the Encorna into the minefield.

"Kenjin Chaos Burner!" the Encorna shouted, as he vanished just before the bombs detonated, and reappeared behind Gorin, knocking him into the field just as the bombs went off, exploding around Gorin.

Nearly half of the arena was gone now. The echo was standing in the cloud of smoke that had once been cold hard concrete. "Did you think that would take me out?" he asked.

Kenjin was standing on what was left of the arena. "The explosion should have damaged Gorin quite a bit." The Encorna merely watched as Gorin waved some smoke away. The echo's skin was smoking as though it were on fire.

"Bombs have a bit of fire in them Kenjin." said Gorin. His body started to glow red hot. "I was able to absorb that fire element as it left the bomb and entered the air." The echo materialized a naginata, one of his favorite weapons.

Gorin closed his eyes and focused. Soon, the naginata was red hot. "Let's continue." said Gorin. He didn't want to admit it, but he had been unable to fully absorb the fire from the bombs. If the echo had normal skin it would be covered in burns.

Kenjin moved into his battle stance as Gorin re-entered the arena. The echo got into his own stance, holding the naginata behind him with one hand while holding another hand in front of him. The two grand warriors were about to clash again.

OOC: Naginatas are Gorin's specialty. A naginata is a double sided sword. (think Darth Maul's weapon).
