Pokeball, go! (2v2)

OoC: I have finally thought of another idea for a battle! Yay! Ok, this vattle will be two on two, and yes, we will be using pokemons. Your pokemons have to relate to your character (for Latio I'd use 'Ninetails' or 'Vulpix') and you can only have two. You can use your characters to support the pokemons, and vice-versa.

BiC: Latio listened to the sounds of strange creatures attacking eachother in an oval arena a few feet below him. "Pikachu, thunderbolt!" he heard a voice shout from the arena.

"Pi-ka-chuuuuu!" the strange mouselike creature yelled as it flashed up with electricity.

"Syther, dodge it and attack with slash!" another voice yelled

The mouse creature, apparantly named Pikachu, fainted and a red light enveloped it as it returned to it's pokeball.

"Pikachu and his trainer are defeated! The next round will be between the people sitting in seats B-5, H-3, K-9 and J-4! Please report to the arena office to get your pokeballs!" the announcer shouted

J-4? That's me! Latio thought, and he stood up and walked to the office.

"Here you go, sir. We wish you luck." a young man said to Latio

"Whatever." the foxfolk responded, taking the balls from the man's hand. He walked through the double doorway, and once in the colisseum, he heard the other figures step in, one to his right, and the other two on the other side of the long arena.

"Umm, Pokeball, go!" He shouted, throwing one of the small balls onto the ground, and a small foxlike creature came out, and it cried out it's name, Vulpix.

OoC: Well, I'll be frank with you: this is a weird idea. But never mind, I'll do it anyway. Wolver's the character, although he really isn't the one you should be researching. He's using Mightyena, the Pokemon closest to a half-wolf I could find.

BiC: Wolver heard the loud cry. "The next round will be between the people sitting in seats B-5, H-3, K-9 and J-4! Please report to the arena office to get your pokeballs!" the announcer bellowed. Wolver winced. He had actually, for a minute, believed the authorities had forgotten about him. They hadn't.

He squeezed his huge coat even tighter on his body and walked off to the office to get his Pokeball, asking himself for the billionth time why he had enrolled himself in this hellish competition. The answer: Ubechok told him to. The scientist had said "If you can tame another beast, then you can tame the beast within you." Well, Wolver hated it.

Inside the office, the lady was confused as to why Wolver was completely covering his body. "Um...battle scars," he lied. She bought it. "Well, here's your Pokemon!" she said cheerfully. This was a surprise to him: Ubechok had just caught a wild Pokemon and mailed it.

It was Mightyena. "A...wolf?" The woman nodded. "It's a Dark Wolf-type Pokemon. You'd like it." Wolver nodded slowly. "I'll keep that in mind. He snatched the Pokeball, and walked off in a rush.

His partner was already in the arena when he got there. "Umm, Pokeball, go!" he shouted. He threw it, and a Vulpix came out. This guy looked exactly his age and...not human, like him. "Erm, hello," Wolver said quietly.

The fox-like man looked around wildly. "Where are you?" he asked. Wolver raised an eyebrow. "My name is Wolver. What is yours?" His partner still looked confused. "Er...I'm Latio," he said, looking in the opposite direction. Wolver stared at him. "Are...you blind?" he asked disbelievingly. "No!" Latio exclaimed defensively. "Then...why are you talking to a wall?" Latio quickly spun around. "Shut up!" Wolver sighed. "Relax, it's not so bad to be blind. At least you're not a twisted half-wolf, an abomination of the natural order." "You are?"

At this point, Wolver thought it safe to remove his getup, revealing his half-wolf self. "I guess...I'm your partner," Wolver said softly. But before Latio could inquire further, their opponents stepped in, Pokeballs in hand. Wolver rubbed his clawed hands together. "Let's get started. Go, Mightyena!" The wolf-like Pokemon appeared before him, crying out its name.

OoC: I might have insulted Latio a bit much, but I couldn't figure anything else to do without knowing the opposition. And if you're wondering why I didn't use Zeliro, my other BA character, it's because I just used him twice in a row. Change of pace.

OoC: I'll be using Arryth, his Pokemon is a Skarmory. Its the coolest bird pokemon that isnt rare I could think of.

BiC: "The next round will be between the people sitting in seats B-5, H-3, K-9 and J-4! Please report to the arena office to get your pokeballs!" the announcer shouted.

Arryth stood up. Being a Rito, he had to travel a long way to make it too this stadium. He stood up and quickly dashed down towards the arena office. The lady handed him an envelope with a small red and white ball in it. She looked quite shocked by Arryths appearance. The envelope read "To Mr A. Surmoree". He tossed the envelop aside and ran into the stadium.

He took side next to Wolver just like the lady instructed him too. He tossed out his ball and a big bird appeared. It cried out its name "SKARMORY!". Arryth lookde over at his opponent, then at his ally. Wolver had a grin on his face. "Are you ready kid?"
Arryth glaced over and smiled back, "Ready as ever!". Arryth looked over and Latios ally joined the arena.

He's blind, not stupid. I don't know how to explain this, but he can just, umm, sense the wall, like Daredevil, without the echolocation. It's wierd, and very hard to explain. Also,

Two pokemons, choose them now, and stick with them. But don't tell! One more thing, no-one post 'till the next person shows up. I want this to be fair.

BiC: Ilyena snickered lightly when the seat number a gaping attendant had assigned her was called out for the next battle. She turned towards the office the booming loudspeakers were directing the participants towards, her silvery mane stirring in the light breeze. Her ears pricked forwards with her eagerness, although she kept her pace slow and steady, giving the people nearby plenty of time to get a good look at her. Showing off like this felt strange to the young unicorn, but she decided she might learn to like it if leading the other Races on chases through the countryside wasn't so much fun.

Ducking her horn slightly to get in through the door, Ilyena approached the young woman sat at the desk. Her eyes widened and mouth dropped open when she saw the young mare, and she nearly dropped the Pokéball that she was holding idly in one hand. She still hadn't recovered from her shock when Ilyena dipped her horned head over the counter and picked the ball up with her teeth, quietly whispering I think this is for me into the woman's mind.

Whispers and stares followed Ilyena as she made her way back up to the arena, which hushed when everyone realised that she was supposed to be the fourth contestant in the battle. The lovely creature tossed her head proudly, enjoying the attention as she took her place on the stands. The other three people involved stared at her, as shocked by the unicorn as everyone else had been.

With a quick shake of her head, Ilyena tossed the Pokéball in her mouth out into the arena, releasing the creature held within it. She snorted with laughter when the red light coalesced into a white horse with a mane and tail made of fire that had a horn similar to her own sprouting from it’s forehead.

As the Rapidash neighed it’s arrival to everyone watching, Ilyena turned towards her ally.

OoC: So, Arryth and Wolver against Latio and Ilyena? Interesting. So, the current summoned Pokemon are Skarmory, Mightyena, Vulpix, and Rapidash. Good. And, about this:

BiC: Wolver's eyes lit up at the prospect of battle, really getting into the game. Beside him, Arryth was grinning. The unicorn Ilyena looked cheerful, and Latio looked stoic. Ready for combat. The Pokemon stared at each other, bird, wolf, fox and horse alike. Wolver, who was before worried, now felt relaxed. After all, no one in this battle was human. There was a Rito, a foxfolker, and a unicorn, but no full humans.

The announcer shouted out loud. "Red team: Arryth and Wolver! Blue team: Ilyena and Latio! Ready...fight!" The Pokemon sprung into action.

"Mightyena, Tackle Vulpix!" The Pokemon leaped at the small fox. Unfortunately, Latio heard this command all too well. "Flame Thrower!" he commanded the fox Pokemon. Vulpix fired a powerful blast of fire at the Wolf Pokemon, which hit the deck with a satisfying *thud*. It leapt to its feet and charged Vulpix, blinded by rage.

OoC: I know it's pretty short, but I just wanted to start the battle. Well, feel free to post. Now.

Two each.

BiC: "Flamethrower!" Latio shouted. He'd never used these 'pokemon' before, and he wondered why he suddenly knew how to fight with them. "Now use quick attack!" Mightyena looked as if he was seeing double, and the small fox looked like she was attacking from the front, but Mighyena's side was where he was hit.

OoC: I'd like to keep this turn based, so YouAreAwsome it next, then x-lonewolf-x, then Tiroth. We'll use one or two attacks per turn, then the next person will retaliate if the attack is towards them. Don't use other people's pokemans, because I like going all out, while someone might actually use tail whip.

Side note: If you use tail whip, I will point and laugh at you, because I don't know one person that has ever used tail whip that isn't ingame.

OoC: My turn? Awesome.

BiC: Mightyena charged Vulpix blindly. Wolver didn't care. He knew that Mightyena would be more efficient alone than with Wolver's orders. He started caring when Mightyena began tearing at Vulpix's flesh.

"Mightyena, stop!" Wolver cried desperately. Mightyena stopped. Vulpix looked just about unconscious. Wolver quickly thought of a move that would knock out Vulpix without causing it damage. "Mightyena, Tail Whip!" Mightyena whipped its tail into Vulpix's face.

Latio, hearing the cry, snickered. "Tail Whip?" His guffaws were interrupted by the announcer. "Vulpix is unconscious!" Latio's eyes narrowed calculatingly as he prepared to summon his second Pokemon.

OoC: Sorry if I took out Vulpix a bit soon, but to me, it just seemed realistic. I'm saying this because you seem like the type to take offense to that: none intended.

Oh, and x-LoneWolf-x, why'd you have Wolver call Arryth "kid"? They're the same age: both 14.

OoC:I dunno, becasue your person seemed more mature. I thought the Wolver would view Arryth as kinda immature. Oh and Arryths other pokemon is Pedgeot.

BiC:"Skarmory, take flight!". The Steel-Bird Pokemon took to the skies and flew around Rapidash. It dove quickly and smashed into Rapidash. Ilyena stepped back as Rapidash flew towards her.

OoC: I have to cut it short becasue you dont want us to use each others Pokemon.

OoC: Two Pokémon, huh? Guess I'd better figure out what else would go well with a unicorn, then. Until I do, please try to refrain from KOing Ilyena's Rapidash, because I won't have anything to replace it with.

BiC: Ilyena watched as the white-furred Pokémon she had been given struggled back to it's feet after the strange bird's diving attack. She could feel the creature's anger at the affront to it's dignity, almost masking the pain that had blossomed in it's body after the collision. The fire that made up it's mane and tail burned brighter and hotter for a moment, giving the unicorn an idea for what it could do.

The Rapidash turned to look at it's mistress as Ilyena sent her thoughts straight into it's mind. Use your fires, she said. Bring the bird down, and then kick at it.

Pivoting back towards the fray, the horse-likie Pokémon screamed and sent spears of fire lancing skyward. Several of them passed near the Skarmory flying high overhead, apparently harmless, but they suddenly twisted together and caged the great bird where it flew. It shrieked as the flames brushed against it, almost falling out of the skies from the pain.

OoC: I'll tell everyone what my second Pokémon is as soon as I figure it out, okay?

Are you saying that the fire didnt effect Skarmory? Cause fire type attacks are super-effective against steel type.

I know. I said they passed near the Skarmory to start with, rather than blasting into it. In case you didn't notice, it almost falls out of the sky afterwards. Think of this as Fire Spin rather than Flamethrower.

"Go, Ninetails!" Latio shouted, as he threw his second pokeball. A beautiful silver fox with nine tails sprung out with a red flash. "Ninetails, Fire Blast!" The pokemon growled at mightyena as her red eyes lit up in a fiery flare. She inhaled and roared out a light show of fire. The fierce Mightyena tried to withstand the white-hot inferno, but simply couldn't. The dark-type pokemon fainted instantly after the attack was finished.

"Go..."

OoC: OK, I know it's justified, seeing as I defeated your Vulpix so quickly, but can we please call a ceasefire? Latio Scaptur, what I mean by that is we don't defeat our opponents so easily.

BiC: "Go...Houndoom!" Wolver cried, seeing his Pokemon scorched by the valiant Fox Pokemon. He pressed his Pokeball open, and a devil dog appeared. Its eyes were narrowed, fixed on Ninetales.

"Houndoom, Tackle Attack!" The devil-like Pokemon charged, narrowly missing Ninetales. "What the..." He had not seen Ninetales move, but the fox must have dodged the attack. The Pokemon was fast, no doubt about that. Houndoom pounced again, catching Ninetales off guard. It stumbled back and responded by...

OoC: If you're wondering what connection Houndoom has with Wolver, dogs are related to wolves. Close enough. x-LoneWolf-x, you're up next.

Skarmory was on its feet, barely. You dont take a fall that hard and not get hurt a little. Arryth's Skarmory started flapping its wings and took flight slightly off the ground. It stayed hovering in this position awaiting further orders. Arryth eyed the horse team with suspition, trying to figure out he could to to counter the fire type pokemons attack. Arryth thought of something just at the right time. "Iron Wing!" he shouted. Arryth flew into the sky and its wings started glowing. It shot towards the ground and crashed into the Rapidash. Only the Radpidash wasnt there anymore.

Ilyena chuckled in her thoughts. SHe could sense Arryth's confusion and his pokemons anger. She would never admit it, but she enjoyed it....just a little.

OoC: Well, the other two are already on their second Pokémon, so I think it's time to take out that pesky metal bird. Don't you?

Oh, and I've figured out what else Ilyena can have, although the connection is a bit hazy. After all, Rapidash is really the only unicorn-like Pokémon there is. Just thought I'd warn you.

BiC: Ilyena looked on happily as her Rapidash danced aside from the strange bird's attack just at the last moment, forcing the steel-type to hastily twist aside or smack straight into the arena floor. The white-furred Pokémon took it's chance and danced forward, both of it's front legs raised, then brought them crashing down onto the frantic Skarmoroy's body. Diamond-hard hooves met steel feathers, and the sound of the impacts echoed across the great stadium.

Arryth's Skarmoroy managed to dodge one blow at the last possible moment and desperately took wing, intent on escaping the Fire Pokémon's wrath. Not to be cheated of it's victory, Ilyena's Rapidash screamed in anger and moved after it, sending from it's mane and tail out to wrap around the bird.

The constant pressure and searing heat proved too much for the Skarmoroy, and Arryth cried out in dismay when it finally fell to the earth. He called it back into it's Pokéball and whipped out his second, eyes fastened on the Rapidash and it's beautiful mistress, while Ilyena stared back at him calmly.

Arryth did not realise it, but his Skarmoroy had driven the unicorn's Rapidash to the brink of exhaustion. Ilyena could feel it heaving, breathing heavily to try and replenish some of the strength it had expended punishing the metal bird for it's audacity. It wasn't going to take much to defeat it now, and so Ilyena readied her second Pokéball...

Ninetail heard the new pokemon's cry, but paid no attention to it. She jumped at Houndoom in a quick attack, which the dark-and -fire type pokemon blocked with it's massive horns, and retaliated with bite. Ninetails dodged the dark attack as Wolver and Latio simoutainiously ordered Flamethrower attacks, which cancelled eachother out, causing a fiery explosion between them. They were at a standstill. Nintails was dodging all Houndoom's physical attacks, and Houndoom blocked Ninetails.

OoC: Kinda ironic that I took a while to post here, as I PMed two of you about this battle. Ah well.

"Houndoom!" The Pokemon snapped to attention. Wolver thought back to all his Pokemon studying. "Uh...Roar! Focus it on Latio!" "What?" the trainer cried. Houndoom fired a powerful sound wave at the foxfolker, which made him temporarily deaf as well as blind. "What's going on?" he yelled. Wolver smiled. This was Ubechok's style of thought.

"Houndoom, Flamethrower!" Without orders, Ninetales was nailed. Latio regained hearing just in time to hear Houndoom's footsteps toward the fallen Ninetales, a hungry glint in its eye.
