Practice Battle (Feline Witch)

OoC: Okay, when you begin a battle, you always say which character you are using, and give a link to their info. For example, for this fight I will be using John. I have never used John before, so we're on the same field. You can find a link to John on my sig.

BiC:

"BUT I WANT TO PLAY!!!" shouted a young teen, as the people of the bar threw him out. His face was still young, though he was thirteen years of age. His hair floped everywhere, he was not one for personal hygene.

"Come back when you're older!" shouted a barkeep, before bolting the door shut on John.

"FINE!" he shouted back, before picking himself up off the dirt road, he had had it with the town anyway. Picking up the Whine Blade, he ran away from the run-down town.

Later, he came upon a waterfall about ten miles outside of the town. Its gentle waters cascaded down to the rocky floor, about five feet below the surface of the constantly changing water.

He decided to stop his travel for the moment. as he was getting rather thirsty, so he dipped his face in the water to quench his thirst. The water had a strange taste, but it was a good one. This was pure water, untouched by civilization.

He lifted his head as he finished, and saw that he was not alone.

OoC: Intros generally begin like that. Now you have to post how your character reaches the fight scene from her point of view.

Oh....how do I make a link to my character? (P.s. this seems fun, thanks a bunch!)


Lazuli walked briskly, her thoughts murmering softly. She loved walking around outside of town. She liked the quiet, and the solitude. She would sit for hours by the waterfall, listening to the soothing splashes. As she approached, she saw that someone had invaded her santuary. A figure splashed in the pool, and she looked curiosly. Then she realized whoever it was, he or she was staring right back.
"Wha wha, you!" she burbled, taken by suprise. "You! Who are you!"
With a flash of light, her swallowtail wings unfurled from her shoulder blades, and she prepared herself for battle, if need be. "You!" she demanded, feeling a bit more confident. "Yes! That's right! You know I'm talking to you!"

Don't worry, I even asked that same question the first time I fought.

BiC:

John looked stunned as he gazed up at the seemingly angry cat girl, who looked ready to kill him for entering her sanctuary.

"Brine Dancer!" she shouted, blasting him with water.

"Oh man," John muttered, running away from where the water was headed. "Time to fight a chick."

He turned back and unsheathed the sword in his scabbard. "Whine Blast!" he shouted, blasting the girl with her least favorite noise. Whatever it was, she couldn't take it, and started clawing at her ears. "Cats have better hearing," he said smugly, dropping his guard.

"Zypher Blow!" the girl cried, shooting John into the air, ending his magic on her. John was enveloped into a swirling vortex of wind, and was sent straight up. She stood up, pushing him higher into the air.

"Wind Uppercycle!" John shouted back, gathering all the wind overwellming him together. With the girl no longer in control of the element, he swooped down on the current, aiming straight for the cat girl.

"Take this!" he shouted, as his fist made contact.

OoC: Remember to start with weak attacks like that, then built it up. Aren't you glad I didn't use Kenjin?

Hahah, this is fun. I guess your other character would have eaten her alive.

Lazuli gave a scream of pain and rage. Stars swam before her eyes, and the world reeled crazily. Whoever it was, it had turned her own spell against her, and she was furious.
The boy punched again, this time into her stomach, and she staggered backwards. He flexed for another strike. Lazuli prepared to use her last resort: her foot. Her platform smacked him right back, and she flew to a safe distance. This was too much! He punches her, invades her favorite hideaway, makes a horrible sound and then blasts her with her attack! Death was too good for this wretch!
Sparks collected onto her fist, and she took aim, with she poked her tongue out smugly. "Bombs away ya b*****d! FLASH EMBER!"

OoC: I must ask, does Lazuli's name come from the lapis lazuli stone? Now, you will learn about the wonderful art of improvazation, namely, using abilities not stated in your character's profile but can be done.

John got zapped, big time, and fell down into the water. He sank to the bottom, while Lazuli walked over to the water's edge. She started to laugh, it seemed like a good time to end the fight and take out the annoying pest.

"FLASH EMBER!" she shouted again, this time aiming at the water. The water was charged with electricity, zapping anything in it.

Which at that precise moment, included John.

But he wasn't out, just lying in wait. When the electricity started pouring into the water, his time had come.

"WIND UPPERCYCLE!!" he shouted, spinning the wind above the water to life. The water soon became a typhoon of water and electricity, John was rising at the center. He looked down at the girl, the typhon had raised him to three stories high.

"Take this," he said, as the electric water poured in her direction.

OoC: I have left you with the chance to escape, because it is common courtesy when using a big attack. Now you try using an attack that your character can do, but is not stated. Most of my characters are written like that for added power.

Yes, you guessed right! Not many people realize that.

Lazuli's eyes widened with horror as the water surged towards her. With a scream, she flung herself aside, and the water raged where she had been. Even so, she could feel the water scorch her tailtip, shrivelling the fur and searing the skin. She hissed at the boy, he had made a fool out of her too often. She flew down as fast as she could, giving him an vicous headbutt to the stomach, as well as a kick in the chin. She fluttered mockingly out of reach. "Don't you wish she had a pair of these" she teased in a sing-song voice, emphasising her wings. "Silly. Little. Boy." she added, putting more emphasis on each word then nessicary.

"Oh, you're so going down," John shouted up at the flying cat. How can cats fly anyway? he asked himself, before recieving another fierce kick to the stomch.

"You can't catch me!" she shouted, flying up out of his reach.

"Yes I can!" John roared back. He screamed, causing the girl to wobble in the air.

"What are you doing?" she shouted back over the high pitch scream that was emitting from John's mouth.

"CALL OF THE MOTHER!!!" he screamed back, as lightning began to strike the arena, flashes blazed around the air as the giant monster emerged, prepared to fight. It wielded a club, roaring in anger at her attacks upon her son.

She roared, striking at Lazuli with her club, knocking her out of the air and straight into the cliffside.

Lazuli stood up, shaken but not broken.

OoC: Now, that was a moderate attack, we are generally growing into the bigger stuff. If you want an example of an awesome BA fight. check out the one I just posted between me and Scoria, we're both using our best characters.

Pain gripped Lazuli like a vice, and terror clawed at her stomach. Fluttering brokenly, she considered the beast, and hovered out of reach. She could fly away and lick her wounds, or she would teach it a lesson, as well as its offspring. She, hoped the creature couldn't fly. There was no way her spells could do any more then irritate that thing, if she used them without any strategy.
"How the hell is that kid related to it?" she muttered. "At least he has to acknowledge his mama's so fat."
Her eyes glittered, as a desperate plan came to mind. It might work, and it might not. Time to try anyhow.
Preparing for sweet victory or an early grave, she flew straght at the foe's face, dodging it's club throws. She snickered, and felt bubbles of salt water collect around her fingers.
"BRINE DANCER!" she yelled, projecting a jet of stinging brine straght into the mother's eyes. Bellowing in pain, it pawed at its face, and trying blindly to swat Lazuli with its club. With a snicker, Lazuli prepared for a new attack.
The wind ruffled her hair, and caressed her cheek.
"ZEPHYR BLOW!" she screamed, directing the pillair of rushing winds at the beast's club, putting more force then ever into the spell. The club flew from the mother's hand, like a leaf in an updraft, span crazily and dropped with a dull thud on her head. With a drunken moan she toppled to the ground, unconcious.
"Good riddance to bad *****!" yelled Lazuli triumphantly. Then moonlight shimmered around her form, and a soft silver radience pulsed.
"LUNAR GLINT!" Lazuli shouted, projecting the shower of lunar light at John. He screamed as the tiny stars seared his skin.
"Yeah! That feels good!" cackled Lazuli evilly.

OoC: Now we're going to learn about combo attacks. Nice joke in your post.

BiC:

John doubled over in annoying pain, he never did like getting hurt. This was starting to get annoying. He needed a plan now.

Lazuli was staying further out of reach, throwing blasts in the youth's direction. He dodged them, but to pull of this attack, he was going to need time.

"Wind Uppercycle!" he roared, aiming the wind attack at the ground.

"What the-" she didn't finish the sentence, the blast launched into the air, blowing sharp dust into her eyes. "Ah!"

"Gotta keep this up," John muttered, keeping the blast going, binding his time. All he would need was a minute.

Lazuli could sense something was going on, he was holding her in place. But why? She knew something big was coming.

"Thirty seconds," John wheezed, remaining utterly still, but continuing to attack and keep Lazuli at bay.

At last the wind gave up, as John's time had run out. Lazuli sudhed down.

Three...Two...One...

"NO!"

"CALL OF THE FATHER!!!!" John roared, as darkness shrouded the battlefield once more. "ATTACK!!"

An immense figure, greater than even John's mother was forming. It was a lion in the body of a human, with a mane of savage golden hair, and sharp fangs and claws.

John's father had emerged to fight. With the blink of an eye, he rushed at Lazuli, slashing with the talons he had for hands.

She leaped into the air, flying far away from the talons. "You still can't touch me!"

"Oh can't I?"

"WIND UPPERCYCLE!!" he screamed, blasting his father straight up to her.

The father snarled, baring his fangs and claws.

Heehee, thanks.

"What's he going to do next, call his grandmother?!?!" howled Lazuli, as she narrowly escaped being sliced in half. "How can they get any worse?!"

Fluttering as fast as she could, her brain scrabbled at desperate ideas. What could she do? Whatever she did, she had to do it soon, unless she had gotten tired of having a lower body. She had no idea how she could defeat that angry beast, and she doubted if a similar trick could work agianst it. But if it was being held aloft by John's power......

In flight, she began to set her plan into action. Summoning all her will power, she felt the breezes and airs flock to her, like birds coming to roost. Please work she prayed.
"ZEPHYR BLOW!"
A maelstrom of air span into existance, much greater then any she had invoked before. So far, so good.
Lazuli looked inward, this time, creating a connection with the waters. Droplets collected on her palm, sparkled like tears, and flooded forth.
"BRINE DANCER!" Lazuli commanded, projecting the salty water at the twister. The screaming winds greedily snatched the brine, twining around eachother, spirals of air and water.
"NOW!"
The seething cauldron hurtlled forwards John and engulfed him, clawing at him with the furious powers of sky and sea. His concentration wavered, and his father toppled, with a tremendious slam, knocking himself out and smacking John with his arm. John yelled with pain, and clutched at his side. He glared at Lazuli defiantly.
Lazuli puckered her lips in an insulting mock-kiss. "I hope you enjoyed that." she giggled. "I hope you like this! FLASH EMBER!" The fireball smacked John in the face, and Lazuli prepared for her next move.

"CALL OF THE GRANDMOTHER!!!" John roared, summoning his final family member. Now all three monsters were on the field. His grandmother, a giant ogress, join the lion-man that was his father and the giant that was his mother.

"WHINE BLAST!" he shouted, aiming his sonic attacks at Lazuli. She cringed, unable to bear the high pitched noise, it was just what he needed.

"CYCLONE UPPERCYCLE!!" he shouted, aiming the Whine Blade directly at the ground. He flew up, controlling the wind and holing Lazuli in place. "Now then, where was I?" he asked her, slashing at her with his sword. He grabbed her wings, and folded them back, causing the two to hurtle to the ground.

Lazuli screamed, she was too high to survive the fall.

"Grab her!" he shouted, his father grabbed her and John detached from the girl, calling upon wind to allow him to float to the ground.

Lazuli moaned feebly. "This is it...I am going...to die..." she mumbled. Images swam before her bleary eyes....John floating to the ground, and a giant beast holding her. The delerium vanished instantly. There was a beast holding her alright!
She screamed, and struggled to escape, squirming hopelessly.
"Put me down! I taste terrible! I'm empty calories! I'll go straght to your hips, I swear!" she howled, hoping John's father hadn't saved her from falling to eat her alive.

"Release her," John commanded, his father dropping the girl to the ground. "We do not kill."

Groaning, the lion released her to the ground, John caught her in his arms. He then set her down onto the ground, as the giants returned to the afterlife. The shadows around them lifted, letting the sun returned to the field.

"Next time you fight someone, make sure it's not me," John said grinning. He then unsheathed his blade, before taking off into the sunset.

"Wind Uppercycle!" he shouted, sending his wind under him, and flew away.

OoC: Now that's how you end a battle, unless you've been given permission, you do not kill or permenatly maim or harm a character. Post how your character ends, because John's done. It was a pleasure battling you Feline Witch, I look forward to your career in the BA.

Lazuli staggered and slid to the floor. "I thought he was going to kill me!" she muttered. The relief vanished, and indignation took its place. "If you wern't going to kill me, why did you attack me!" she shouted into the air. Swearing to herself, she cupped her hands and drank from the pool, and splashed water onto her face. She winced at the numerous bruises and cuts fom her conflict. "Next time I see that little brat," she promised herself. "I will give him the mother of all noogies."
