My Return (Open Challenge)
ooc: Some of you may not know me, but the older members sure the heck will
I used to be the Mod in here. Seems it doesn't have the glory that it once did, maybe I can change that. I'd hate to see the fruits of my past labor go to waste. AnywayAnyway The first person to pop in here will be the person I'm up against, I just ask that you can at least make one post a day. ^_^ I don't want my return fight to fade away like most of em do. ic: ooc: Some of you may not know me, but the older members sure the heck will I used to be the Mod in here. AnywayAnyway The first person to pop in here will be the person I'm up against, I just ask that you can at least make one post a day. ^_^ I don't want my return fight to fade away like most of em do. ic: It had to be night, or late morning Vahn couldn't tell anymore. Opening his arms he embraced a cook brisk breeze and gave a grunt of satisfaction. It was a wonder to him that all these years he took for gradate all the simple aspects of life. However they were still of little importance to him, his heart and soul only longed for one satisfaction in life, and that was blood whether it be his or another. He closed his eyes for a moment taking a small refuge of peace that would be short lived. His eyes rolled into the back of his head and his eyes flickered open while a twisted smile formed through his parted lips. The eve of battle on this barren field was at hand, he could feel it running sadistically through his veins. “Oh I can nearly smell it.” He proclaimed dancing in a circle and drawing his long straight sword. Even in the darkness of night it’s green hue was still remarkably visible. “What gift does the wind bring me?” He asked aloud to himself turning around to the scent of a traveler not to far away. Oh the thrill of a hunt became all consuming and Vahn found himself craving the rush. A rush he could no more deny than his own existence. It was something he passionately held to heart with enthusiasm. His heart beat nearly skipped when he saw that it was a warrior. He was armed… Yes he knew out to fight. Vahn licked his lips, slowly caressing his fore teeth with his tongue until his could no longer remain silent. “Oh how kind of thy wind, How terribly kind indeed. You… You I say, I pity you. You’ve crossed paths with a Stygian.” He said pausing to watch is reaction. The warrior had heard of Stygians as his eyes broaden and his pupils shrank, only to amplify Vahn‘s demeanor. Vahn wondered what terrible stories he had heard of his race… There were so many without a doubt, yet Vahn became lost in the moment as he continued speaking. “Ah… I can already smell your fear. I do hope you’ll provide some Challenge for me tonight, don’t worry though. I’ll keep you alive long enough to see your own heart ripped” Vahn applied a persuasive accent while his lips smacked the ending of the word together. Making a strong emphasis on his exact intentions. “from your chest.” He finished, leaving his opponent no time to respond. He immediately lashed at him violently thrashing him with the hilt of his sword in the face throwing his body to ground. Vahn Jumped back lifting his sword and setting it on his shoulder in laughter. “I see… perhaps I’ve spoken to soon, your quite slow. I was a fool to expect a challenge…” He said with a twisted snicker hiding his mouth as he did. “Come on, get up fool. I can hardly wait to kill you.” He spoke allowing his opponent to stand back up. Here in battle however the little things had so much significance to him. To watch is adversary rise from falling meant that Vahn could knock him back down again. What lust he gained from such tidings. He muttered a small peaceful moan as he whipped his sword down to his side. Pointing it away from him while he taunted this person with his free hand. “Get up” He said again in a hateful tone while his opponent came back to his feet. “That’s it… Come closer, I want to play" ooc: ^_^ Ohh how I missed Vahn.

Re: My Return (Open Challenge)
Cerin narrowed his eyes and frowned as he saw the evil soul that inhabited the body standing before him. He shot forward a hand as he stood up, firing globe of white light. The collision caused a flash of light which Cerin took advantage of.
He leapt up into the air, his wings pumping. He saw other standing back up, looking around for him. The angel sensed the evil in him, but it was connected to his mind. He saw how the unstable base preverted the soul. He sighed. It would be his toughest challenge, but, maybe he would be able to convert this dark creature. He had to try. "Why do you attack me?" He called out, alerting Vahn to his position. "Let us be at peace. I can help you. You are ill. I will make you better. Only let me into your mind and soul." He had one hand under his robe, clutching the Chain of Heaven just in case. |

Re: My Return (Open Challenge)
"Ill?" Vahn spoke giving blessing to a menacing laughter. His arms bulged when he flexed and his head pulled to the side flexing his neck. He jerked the blade in front of his face in a dramatic scene he licked the edge slicing his tongue deliberately. Than his eyes narrowed on the angel.
"No I'm numb, and I quite enjoy it. I have no desire for what you offer, but you want in my mind... fine I'll give you a glimpse, be warned angel. Not even hell could prepare you for what your going to see." Vahn closed his eyes and let the angel in, connecting to him in a sense. The angel’s wings went stiff as he grabbed his head in horrific pain falling to the ground he landed on his feet but staggered about as gruesome images of murder flooded before his very eyes. Woman, children, helpless old men. It seemed the man before him had no mercy for any living thing. He could even feel a numbing sensation rolling over his body as Vahn moved deeper into him, what terrible evil that he felt. He broke the connection immediately stepping away from Vahn. "By the heavens, never had I witnessed such a living abomination. I must stop you here." He spoke with a raised condescending voice as he took a fighting stance. "Dear me, you think you can stop me?" Vahn laughed again placing his hand over his stomach. "It hurts!" He said again laughing, "Oh how humorous…” Vahn paused eyeing up the creature before him, he had fought an angel before. What pleasure he found in slaughtering such purity. “Foolish angel not even your GOD could stop me!" He laughed again whipping his sword around him while he rushed towards the Angel. Cerin counteracted by fluttering his wings and hopping a way from Vahn, however Vahn was in close pursuit. Bending his knees he threw himself into the air slashing at the Angel. Sparks sparkled around them as he held his chain it tight. Cerin than moved to strike, but Vahn vanished in mid air leaving fading image of himself in the wake. "What speed!" The angel proclaimed as he predicted his move and flapped his wings to the side avoiding a strike from Vahn's blade that would have cleaved him in two. Vahn hit the ground running and Turned to the Angel lashing the back of his open hand through the air channeling a small amount of energy in his hand. His palm opened and his hand muscles tightened as he released the energy. It was only enough to create a force push, however it did enough to throw the angel back as if he was hit by a stern blow to the body. Relentlessly Vahn lashed at him again while the angel was trying to regain himself.

Re: My Return (Open Challenge)
Cerin rolled as he fell to the ground again. Vahn leapt at him, his sword gleaming above his head. He brought it down as he came down at the angel, but the angel brought up his own weapon and wrapped it around Vahn's blade. He kicked the Stygian's stomach, launching him away from him.
Lurching up, Cerin yanked the chain, which was still wrapped around the blade. Unfortionatly, Vahn's grip was too tight. The Stygian smiled and turned the tables on the angel. He pulled and swung the chain around, sending Cerin flying. Cerin shot out his wings, breaking his flight. He pumped them, gaining height. "Fine then. If I can't beat you at hand to hand combat, then I'll have to use my divine powers. He raised his hands above his head and formed twin balls of light. Quickly, he threw them down at Vahn. OoC: Sorry its not too creative, but I'm sick and its hard to write well when you feel like you have accountants cranking numbers in your head. |

Re: My Return (Open Challenge)
“Divine powers?” Vahn repeated than falling into one of his manic laughing fits. Vahn stepped to the side dodging the first ball of light then weaved behind it to evade the second one. His eyes floated to the side watching the sphere of light wiz by him. He couldn’t help but smile, it would seem the only time that he did smile was when he was at war with another. It was the lone thing he found true delight in.
“Powers acquired from servitude are anything, BUT divine.” Vahn said as he lowered his sword arm the ground and pointed it away from him again. When he finished speaking he threw himself to the left creating a trail of images of himself. After images if you will. The clear forms of himself formed a zig-zag formation while Vahn made his way towards the Angel at nearly unseen speeds. The Angels eyes darted back and forth keeping track of Vahn’s location and readied himself for an attack. He pulled the chain tight between his hands with an iron grip. Than Vahn attacked lashing forward and striking with the blade of his sword. The Angle moved to block, but it was just another image of Vahn… It was an illusion. As the Angle cringed out of reflex to block, Vahn jumped out of one his previous images and slashed the angel in the ribs and hit the ground rolling. When his feet planted against the ground he did a back flip on the angels shoulders and smacked the top of his head with the hilt of his sword forcing him to the ground while Vahn sat on his head. The Angel struggled and Vahn lifted his sword high above his head flipping the blade around to stab him in the head. Cerin flapped his wings desperately and lifted them both from the ground. Caught of guard Vahn attempted to gain his balance by fell off the angels shoulders on his back while cerin soared away. “Get back here!” Vahn yelled almost dis-heartily. He snarled and jumped after the angel leaping far above him and came down with a vicious strike. Cerin sensed him and spun around snapping his chain out with a wild jerk. The Chain flew forward and cracked Vahn in the face. He immediately dropped his blade holding his face until he hit the ground with a mighty thump. He rolled around and reached the side when his own sword pierced his hand. “DAMN IT!” Vahn shouted jerking his hand off the blade severing it in two pieces. He squirmed and held his hand to his stomach while he reached out and grabbed the hilt with his other lifting himself from the ground. Vahn peered at his hand and watched the two pieces come back together. The benefits of being a Stygian, ones wounds would heal on their own. Vahn looked up at the angel flapping his wings triumphantly. Vahn wouldn’t have this at all, he lifted his hand towards the ski flexing the muscles in his hand and the clouds cackled with darkness. The Angel looked up just in time to see a black lighting bolt strike him. The serge of electricity left him nearly helpess as Vahn lowered his hand willing the bolt into the ground, bringing the angel with it.

Re: My Return (Open Challenge)
Cerin pulled his wings and arms in tight, willing a shield to form. A globe of light formed around him, diverting the lightning. Cerin climbed out of the crater and looked around for the Stygian.
He didn't see him at first, but he heard footfalls behind him and spun around, catching Vahn in the gut with his foot. As Vahn fell backwards, Cerin gathered up the chain and swung it around. The angel threw it at the fallen body, the boomerang like blade flashing as it lodged itself in the Stygian's gut. Vahn let out a yell of pain and grabbed the blade, easing it out of his body as the angel lifted into the air again. Cerin gathered up the chain again and started dwinging it in a circle in front of him. "Do you surrender yet" he asked, his eyes flashing down at the insane man in pity and distaste. As he had expected, Vahn laughed again. Cerin sighed. "I thought not. I am forced to destroy you then. What a pity. I could have helped you, I am sure of it." He swung the chain and blade out wide, bringing it in a sweeping montion at the already healing Stygian. Vahn leapt up over the blade and grabbed the chain, yanking it and the winged man as well. Rather than resisting the oviously stronger man, Cerin reached under his robe while flying at the grounded man and brought out Heaven's Spear. He swept down at the mad man, the sword end flashing as he dove. Vahn rought his sword up at Cerin, forcing him to block. The angel swerved aroung Vahn, bringing the chain with him. He folded his wings in and broungt his feet down to run around Vahn, who still clutched at the chain as well. Cerin fired a ball of light into the insane man's face, blinding his as the angel ran around him, wrapping him tighter and tighter. Cerin punched at the still-blinded Vahn's hand still sticking out of the cocoon of metal, forcing it into Vahn's face. Cerin took his chance and quickly wrapped the chain around the upright arm, tieing it in close to the mad man's body. |
