The Shared Sorrow
OoC: How about the name, yeah I figured it would fit both my character Brolik and your character Rai. Well here it goes!
BiC: Brolik had been traveling for a days time when he had made to the middle of the Totwald forest. There was a clearing up ahead and across it lay a small mountain lake. He was relieved to find some water. He approaced the lake to find it was clear and the light of the sun reflected of it with great intensity. He kneeled down and gathered some water in his hands and washed his face with it. The cool water felt relaxing and with the next handful he drank. He sat down beside the lake and stared at the sky, trying to relax after his long trek up through the forest. The forest around him was quite peaceful and the lake was still. Time passed and Brolik had fallen asleep in the afternoon sunshine. He woke up after he had slept for nearly 4 hours. It was late afternoon now and he was ready to move on. As he stood up he heard an unusual noise coming from the forest ahead of him, across from the lake. Brolik was stunned to see an elf appear into the clearing. Brolik thought the elf was mumbiling to himself, and in a way seemed as though he was insane. He walked slowly from the clearing in Brolik's direction. Brolik was puzzeled, the elf seemed possessed in a way, yet he also just seemed plain insane. He stopped, Brolik could tell the elf finally realized he was not alone. Brolik was quick to draw his sword and he took a defensive stance. He was not going to take any chances with the elf. He understood even such a harmless looking elf could be a lethal oppenent. He had seen something like this before but could not remember where, but he understood he could not take the elf lightly. "Who are you and what do you want with this place?!" Brolik yelled at the elf. The elf just stared at him and did not answer. "What do you want!!" Brolik yelled again. Yet the elf did not answer again be he look like he was ready to attack. Something was arie. He felt as though a cold darkness had overcome the once peaceful forest. Yet it seemed that this elf in front of him was not the source. He felt sick and and it seemed something was trying to get to him. He was able fight the sensation that was overcoming and instead he focused on the elf in front of him. Brolik held his sword out with the right arm and now took and aggresive stance. He was prepared to fight. The elf smirked sadistically and then with blinding speed charged. OoC: How's that for a start, remember this is only my second battle. Anyway if you want I can add more, otherwise see if you can build off that.

Re: The Shared Sorrow
OoC: No worries, I can build off of almost anything. It was a good way to start, anyway.
BiC: A strange looking man sat upon a tree limb of a large evergreen. He sat with his back against the trunk and one leg perched up on the branch with his other leg hanging down. He was rather tall but looked very thin. He had sleek black hair that reached his chin. His face was narrow and his flesh was very pale. He had dark gray eyes that glittered with an ugly energy. Black robes hung on his skinny body with small black boots on his feet. He looked about forty-years-old. The outlandish man had his arms folded across his chest, his gray eyes staring off into thought. What’s this? he thought, There is an interesting presence in the forest today. How very odd. The demon could have sworn he killed everything alive in these forests. How could he have missed such a noticeable aura? I wonder what Rai is up to … “Rai! There is a man in these woods. Perhaps very close to you, do you see anything?” said the thin being, sending his thoughts out to his son. “…” no answer. Though, what was he expecting? Rai never spoke a word, even in his thoughts. But there was an interesting emotion sent to him. A tingling sensation within his insides. He understood this feeling. Excitement. The possessed elf only felt that when there was something near by that he wanted to kill. The demon stood up from his sitting position on the branch. He focused his energy and with a blink he disappeared into thin air. He reappeared in a different part of the forest, by a clearing. He stood on another big limb of a tree and stared out at a man in the clearing. The man was younger than him. Nineteen years he was aged. His body structure was very different from his. He was a bit taller and definitely had more muscle on his bones. In fact, he was very toned all over. He had the same straight, black hair that went just a little passed his pointed ears and had gray eyes. His face was broader and younger looking. He wore an emerald-green shirt and black pants. Over his shirt he had a silver overcoat that sleeves stopped at his elbows and reached down just above his knees. He wore a leather belt around his waist, which held his sword’s sheath. On his hands he bore black, cloth gauntlets that stopped at his wrists. On his feet were dark brown leather boots. The youth’s lips were curved in a demented grin. Hm … that’s Rai but were is this other man? The older man’s gray eyes wondered through the pine needles and spotted another young man. A human by the feel of his weak aura, though it was stronger than most. He was warrior. Hmm … I wonder what Rai will do to him. The man had short blonde hair with a redhead band across his forehead and blue eyes, he also looked a couple years younger than the elf. Perhaps eighteen or seventeen. Well, he should introduce himself, shouldn’t he? However, Rai dashed forward, drawing his sword from his sheath. The demon frowned a little. He teleported down and in front of Rai, who stopped immediately in his tracks. The human looked startled by this sudden movement. He gripped his sword and was in an attack position. The oldest man turned to look at him from the side. His gray eyes scanned him, looking up and down. Studying his new play toy. There hasn’t been another being around for a while. This man might prove amusing. The demon simpered, his lips twisting up. It wasn’t exactly like Rai’s smirk. It was less insane and more chilling in some ways. “I must apologize for my son, he has the bad habit of trying to kill everyone he sees,” breathed the man in a quiet and graceful tone. He spoke as if he were talking about the weather. The human boy’s face hardened at his words and he did not release his grip from his sword. “Allow me to introduce myself,” said the demon, with the same smooth tone the flowed together with the same calm demeanor. “I’m Nelu, Dark Lord of Pain. And this is my son, Rai. What is your name?” Usually Nelu didn’t take the time to learn his victim’s names, but this man seemed worth the while. The boy didn’t respond right away, but soon his lips parted. “Brolik,” he said. His voice was hasher and more bothered than Nelu’s. The Dark Lord’s leer widened. He was already frightened, how … cute. The demon chuckled to himself. “Well, if you are so brave to travel these forests that I have claimed for my own. Then you are surely brave enough to fight my son … and perhaps myself if I find it amusing.” Nelu turned from Brolik and headed toward a large pine tree. “Please … don’t die as quickly as the others have. That would be very boring.” OoC: Well, that’s Nelu and Rai. Let’s see where this goes.
