The Sheath of Many Blades (12 characters)

OoC: This was inspired by those quest type things. I have thought of a set place where the sheath is hidden, and I will drop hints and riddles every so often, it's up to you to decipher them. And remember, folks, Latio is blind!

BiC: Latio had just had a huge battle near the outskirts of town, and everyone in the bar was talking about a shining dragon, rising pillars of stone, and the beauty of it. I wish I could've seen it He thought to himself as he chuged down a pint of beer. Even after he had stayed at the inn for a month, he could still hear snickers of Mommy, why does he look like that? and Hey, what's a monster doing in our bar? But one comment caught his ear the most. Hey, I heared that there's a treasure somewhere around town. A magic sheath, of all things, supposed to create the perfect blade for whoever draws it. Latio thought about his scheduele (sp?) Nope, I have lots of time! Besides, no-one likes to live in a town where everyone hates you. As he opened the door, a wind blew in his ears, it sounded like a word. Earth.

OoC: Remember, I make the riddles and hints.

Ooc: I'd love to join, and I will use one of my favorite ninja characters...Takeo! Link in the sig. Note: Takeo has good hearing, just like LATIO! This is sort of a little rematch to test another character against Latio, if it's alright with you.

Bic: Takeo had finally made it! He traveled a long ways through the desert, and came upon a small town. With his acute hearing he heard of a battle, and wondered if Kaede had anything to do with it. He thought he saw her now and then in the town, but didn't want to start a fight with her just yet. He hadn't seen anything interesting, so he decided to take a stroll donw the alleyways. While walking down one of them, he heard a bum blabbering a rumor of a mystical sheath. He heard the entire rumor, and the many sides of it, and decided to take the challenge of searching for this sheath.

It's just another test I need to become a better shinobi he thought. After passing through the alleyways, he heard a soft voice, one only he thought he could hear say, "Earth."

"Earth?" he replied, but the voice didn't answer. "Hmm, maybe i'm just hearing things" he said. "but i'll keep the word earth in mind." he said under his breath. And with that he set off to look for the fabled Sheath of Many Blades...

Ooc: Ready for another re-match?

Ooc: Ooooooo, im diggin this, I'll use Meteora (in sig.)

Bic: Meteora found a small town and has been there for about a week. He is just lookin for another job.
I guess nobody in this town is wanted dead

He spent most of his time in a little bar. The people in there were mostly friendly, and enjoyed to dance. They also liked to tell stories and myths. All seemed happy and normal except for this one person. He was like some sort of fox person. Meteora took great interest in this guy. I mean afterall, there was nothing else to do. He would listen to all the coments and bad things people said about him. However, Meteora sensed no evil or bad intentions.

One day, the mysterious guy got up sooner than usual and left the bar. Meteora just had a feeling, he had to follow. The assassin left some money on the table and made his way out too. When he got out of the building he followed this strange character for awhile, keeping his distance and trying to blend in.

Ooc: Yea, that was all I can think of, it will get easier as the story unrolls.

OoC: Allow me to join. Randum's profile is in the first part of my sig.

BiC: Randum skulked one alleyway, looking for something to chew on. he had had nothing put stinking scraps for days. What we would do for something fresh right now.

Suddenly, he heard footsteps nearby. Extremely quietly, he crept up one side of the wall. His feet and hands not making a sound. He hung from a gutter on one leg as he watched a man walk by. Unusual. Not as unusual as the person right behind him, who was obviously trying not to be seen. Randum sighed quietly and crept along the rooftop, watching silently. Suddenly, he kicked a can, which flew down into the alleyway, aiming for the being's head...

Ooc: I guess I will try to keep this going.

Bic: Meteora has been stalking this character for at least ten minutes now. The foxman turned down a more deserted road. Meteora knew he was just being nosey but now he was just sooo caught up wondering where this magnificent creature is going. Meteora was sneaking behind a barrol when he noticed a can falling from the rooftop right at the creature's head! The assassin ducked behind the barrol and waited for the crash. But it never came. Meteora slowly looked over the barrol and seen the foxman holding the can.

Wow! He is blind, how did he catch that! Is his hearing that good? cause if it is....

"I know you are following me. And I know you have been the mysterious man in the bar....other than myself of course." Latio said while dropping the can to the ground.

"Oh, uh, I was just uh,.... well, you are very interesting and I was just wondering if..." Meteora stopped in midsentence when out of the corner of his eye he seen an even stanger creature peering over the roof.

"Hey you up there! Get down here and show yourself! unless you want consequences." The assassin said with his hand on his bow.

"Stop! You wont be hurting anyone today assassin. That creature means us no harm." Said Takeo walking out of an allyway.

Ooc: okay, I was tryin to tie us all together at least for the time being.

OoC: GAHHH! They're all stalking me!

BiC: "Do any of you know about a magic sheath? Because if you do," Latio drew his scimitar "tell me any time!"

Takeo spoke up. "I've heard of it. But I probably know no more than you"

The assassin and enigma evesdroped on the foxfolk's conversation with the trained ninja. "So, what will you use the sheath for?" the foxfolk questioned.

"It's not the sheath, it's the sword inside!" the greedy ninjitsu artist answered.

The assassin and enigma both had different motives to get the sword "Assassin," Randum said.

"Yes?"

"What say we get the sword for ourselves?"

The assassin thought for a moment. Battle plan phase one: beat ninja boy and the foxfolk to the sheath, phase two: stab this freak in the back and take it for myself "Sure" he answered to the strange beast.

The foxfolk and ninja had a similar discussion, but with Latio ending with "Sorry, I'd rather search myself"

OoC: A race to the sheath! Latio and Takeo have one clue, Randum and Meteora have none.

Ooc: Oh the sheath is mine baby!!!!!!!!!!! haha

Bic: "Well what is your name beast?" Meteora asked.

"It is Randum, and there are more polite ways to ask." Said the enigma.

Now, after hearing The foxman and the nija talk, Meteora has a better understanding of whats goin on.

"Well, my name is Meteora, and it seems like this has become a compition. So I dont know about you but I think we should try to get clues to help us." Meteora said kind of frusterated.

"Earth, is what, Earth is the word, Earth is the way!" Said Randum

"Earth?" What the heck is that supposed to mean!?

Ooc: LIsten BT im not sure how you want Randum to talk so based of the profile I did one of thoes blabbering things. Am I kinda close at all?

OoC: Ok, PIMPROD, I'm pretty sure it's DD's time to post, or Biggest Torkal's.

Ooc: Yes I will post. And Takeo sides with no one! Btw, Takeo is not greety!(greety is how you said it!)

Bic: Takeo stood in fighting position, ready to strike at any moment. He heard Meteora and Randum talk, but didn't understand what 'earth' meant.

"So, where exactly is this sheath?" asked Takeo.

"I have no idea." said Latio, ready for a fight.

"Then I have no intention of fighting, or joining sides with you." said Takeo as he put away his shuriken.

He's not joining fox-boy? thought Meteora. Well then, this'll make things easier for me.

"Then our roads will part here." said Latio, putting his scimitar away.

"Both of us have acute hearing, right?" said Takeo. "So finding the sheath won't be a problem. Plus, I have no intention of joining forces with anyone who I compete against!" said Takeo, walking down the alleyway past Latio.

Ooc: Sorry for the shortness, the comp. i'm on re-boots every 30 mins.

OoC: Now just for biggest torkal.

OoC: You guys seem to be getting deeper in this so is I think I'll join now before you guys leave everyone behind. And I'll be using my new character, Sora. Her link, of course, is in my sig.

BiC:

Sora finally entered the desert town. She had come here because she had sensed many powers fighting each other, though now it seemed very quiet. Darn, that battle felt like it was a big one! Oh well, as long as she was here, the Raikan figured she may as well enjoy herself.

The town was eeriely silent as most people were still in their homes. Sora was starting to doubt if anyone was here when she heard some voices.

"Plus, I have no intention of joining forces with anyone who I compete against!" a teenage boy's voice stated. The hunter hid behind a building as a ninja walked past. What was that about? She peered around the corner a saw a foxfolk staring hard in the direction of the ninja. He then mumbled to himself, "I need no one's help finding the sheath." That male then turned and walked away, also. A sheath? Sounds interesting. Sora was always looking for a good adventure and this sounded very good. I really don't need a new sword, she looked at Omni, but this sounds better than walking around a dead town like this. All I need to do is find someone who knows anything about this sheath. With that thought, she turned around and started to look for anyone who knew the location of the Sheath of Many Blades.

OoC: If you guys are already happy with just you four, feel free to ignore me.

OoC: Since Latio has befriended Kai, Sora's gonna be his worst enemy!

BiC: Suddenly, Sora's Omni changed to Gaea. "Cool." she said "I wonder how that happened... *sigh* whatever, gotta find that sheath"

OoC: Man, judging by her personality, she's not geting the sheath.

BiC (again): She tried to will it back to its stone form, but it wouldn't change. "Hmm, I don't wanna lose this..." She started to drag the unwieldy sword behind her as she followed the foxfolk down the main street, and out the front gate.

"Earth. The earth is under us, we live on it, it's practically everywhere!" he chuckled. He had starrted noticing a draging sound a few minutes back. He turned. "Will you stop following me?!"

"I want to help you find the sheath."

"I don't need help."

"Are you sure?"

The raikan was starting to get on the foxfolk's nerves. "No, I really don't need your help!"

She tried really hard to follow the foxfolk, she truely did, and after she got out of the town gate, she could will the sword into it's gem-like state. The half-demon thought she had been following the blind fox unnoticed after she needn't have to drag her sword. She was mistaken. Latio swiftly spun around, drew his Horizon Scar and slashed the bush Sora was hiding in into a pile of leaves

OoC: Fight time!

Ooc: You know, I don't want Latio to be the only one fighting...

Bic: Takeo had been strolling down the alleys for hours, picking up bits of information. He heard many conversations, but none seemed to be about the sheath. He listened carefully, and heard two figures following him. Takeo turned around, and saw Meteora and Randum following him.

"You're following me...why?" said Takeo, arming himself.

"Defeating you would make one less opponent in the search..." said Meteora, arming himself.

"Well, if last time you needed Kaede to help you, I wonder how good that guy is." said Takeo, pointing to Randum.

"With my moves I learned from Kaede, and this new ally, I should be able to take you on..." said Meteora while pulling out his bow.

Ooc: AHHHHHHHH! Im about to fight Takeo again! And I know nothing of Randum where is BT? Well, im not fighting by the side of someone who may not be there!

Bic: "Better yet, I'll even give you a fair fight Takeo!" Meteora said while turning to Randum. " Beat it beast! Unless you want some too!"

" Well Meteora, it seems as though you have some new confidence since your girlfriend trained you!" Takeo said while producing two clones.

"Yeah I wish, Kaede is harder to get to then the center of the earth!" Meteora laughed while producing two clones of his own.

Now the two face each other with one clone on each side. Randum steped back to avoid the trouble.

"Bring it on!" Yelled Takeo as he and his clones lunged at Meteora.

The clones disappeared while in melee battle, but Meteora and Takeo were struggling to overpower each other with their blades pressed tightly together...

OoC: I thought I had posted yesterday. My Internet's been acting funny recently. On with the show!

BiC: Randum had been watching both the cloners caredfully. He focused his energy. Before he could understand how, two clones stood on either side of him. Prefering not to ask, he rushed forward with both clones. They all drew a Shadowed version of either Meteora or Takeo's sword.
"What trickery is this?" shouted takeo, as one clones punches him, knocking him into a wall.
"I'm an enigma. You don't know what I'm capable of," said the real Randum. Both clones leapt towards him in a flying kick. Behind them, Randum had created another blade. Now he weilded two blades, a Shadow version of both fighters blades. He leapt towards Takeo from behind the clones. Blades whirling...

Ooc: Great, i'm double teamed again...btw, Takeo doesn't have a sword, it's a large shuriken that can open and close. When closed, it can act like a blade.

Bic: Takeo quickly pulled out a smoke bomb, allowing him to esacpe for one second. Since Randum was an enigma, he could see right through the smoke...

"He's not here..." said Randum. "He must have left already."

"Yeah, just like last time..." said Meteora, thinking about their previous fight.

Meanwhile, Takeo was running through the town alleys...

Darn, that was close! The enigma copies my moves, while Meteora can create clones as well. But, I never expected to get away so easily... though Takeo, catching his breath. He listened for a while, and heard conversations about a fight that was a month ago. He heard Kaede's name mentioned, and the name of the fox-guy, Latio.

They must have fought each other... he thought. Well, that shows one person on my side...gotta go find him... thought Takeo while running to the outskirts of town...

"What do you want again?" said Latio.

"Well, you obviously don't want my help, so i'll just have to fight you to get to the sheath faster..." said Sora.

Takeo was then running at them in the distance...and created a few clones just to be safe.

"Looks like we've got company..." said Latio, arming himself.

"Hello fox-boy and..." said Takeo looking at Sora.

"Sora." replied Sora.

"Listen, you fought Kaede a while back right?" he asked.

"Kaede? How do you know her?" asked Latio.

"Well, we both hate each other's guts, and i'd love to kill her any day..." said Takeo. "Since we both hate her, how about we work together to find that sword?"

"And when we find it?" asked Latio.

"We fight for it..." replied Takeo.

"I don't really need help..." started Latio, but was interrupted.

"Judging by her powers, looks, and weapon, I think you do." said Takeo.

"Fine, but only this once!" said Latio while getting ready for combat.

Ooc: Sorry for being a shrimp and running off, Randum and Meteora are way too good don'cha think?

OoC: Latio doesn't paticularily "hate" Kaede, par se. He's just bothered that the ninja
almost killed him. Also, everyone who even touches the sheath gets a sword... But this is OoC info, so our characters don't know this. Just informing you all.

OoC: And you were complaining about being double-team, DD.

BiC:

Great, two against one, Sora thought sourly as Latio and the Takeos circled with the Horizon Scar and Shurikens, respectively. But she wasn't too worried. Summoning the power of Omni, fire magic started to swirl from the stone. Instead of going to right hand, the magic went to both hands and created the duel-swords, Nova. The Raikan felt Nova's happiness to be wielded and urged her to make the first move. However, she waited for the two guys.

Sora didn't wait long. The fox suddenly rushed forward brandishing his scimitar while the ninjas threw their Shurikens. She blocked Latio's swipe with her left sword and used the momentum to sidestep the thrown weapons. Scaptur charged again. Sora again blocked but then countered furiously with the right blade. They danced intensely, the foxfolk trading the blows of Nova with strikes from his own Horizon Scar.

The fighters were interupted by a kunai with a paper note flying into the middle of their battle. Sora had time to think, What the...?, when the note exploded. The half-demon was somewhat injured by the secretive weapon but was renewed when she saw that Latio hadn't gotten out the exploding note's way, either. She smiled at the two duelers, This is gonna be a fun match.

OoC: Wait, I'm confused. Lemme think. Ok, is this right?
Sora vs. Latio, Takeo, and Takeo clone, just outside the town gate.
Meteora and Randum are looking for Takeo inside town.

OoC: Yeah, you got it right except in my post I had Takeo dismiss his clones so it's just you two versus me.
