Town Battle(2-on-2)

Ooc: I just got my character remade, and I want to test him out. This battle takes place in a town. I'll use Rethor and Kaede, links in the sig.

Bic: Rethor had finally reached a town, and was very hungry. He went to a nearby pub and had a big meal. After finishing up, he payed the waitress and walked out the door. He strolled down the road, looking at the little town of Durenburg. He marvelled at it's architecture and wondered how it as made. His daydreaming was interrupted by a loud scream. Rethor ran to the source of the scream, and saw someone terrorizing the town. Rethor ran quickly at the culprit, and was just about to punch at him, when he was ht from behind. Rethor slid on the ground, and quickly got to his feet. He saw two people this time, not knowing who they were, or what they wanted. before he could speak, a woman walked up next to Rethor.

"You can't take them both on your own." said the woman. "I will fight with you, my name is Kaede."

"Alright then." said Rethor. "But who in the world are you guys?" asked Rethor, pointing at the two people who were terrorizing the town.

Ooc: Who's ready to rumble?

OoC: Can I reserve the other two spots? I'll use Latio, see "signature."

Sure, as long as I get a good fight. I've been dying to have one!

OoC: And I think I'll take one of those reserved spots. Prepare to face our wrath! Oh, and I'll use Kai, link in sig.

BiC:

Kai and Latio had been walking for awhile, not really heading any place. All they really knew was that there was a town up ahead and they were tired.

"Do you know what town that is," the fox asked his friend.

The dragoon shook her head, "I don't know what anything is here." The town they came apon seemed like a quiet, peaceful place. It was built with taller buildings near the middle and shorter ones on the outside, that way enemy archers wouldn't beable to easily gain high ground for the village had much trouble with bandits. A young girl started to walk by them. "Excuse me, where can we find a place to rest?" the female warrior asked her. The girl looked at Kai her eyes supicious, then turned to Latio. Apparently, these townspeople had never seen foxfolk before, because when the girl looked a Scaptur, she screamed.

"Wait, we're not dangerous," the foxfolk explained but the girl had already run off and other pedestrians were fleeing, too. Latio gave the dragoon a worried look.

"There's nothing we can do about it now," Kai shrugged. This day kept getting better and better.

"But who in the world are you guys?" a voice demanded behind them. The fox and dragoon turned as one to see two fighters, a male and female, facing them.

"I'm Kai Chosen."

"And I'm Latio Scaptur. Now, who are you?"

OoC:"I am Rethor" a heavily armoured knight gestured to a female ninja "and this is Kaede. Why are you terrorizing this village?!"

Latio started studdering "I... uh.... she... and..."

Kai chuckled "His appearence just frightened her is all!"

The knight's expression changed for the worst "And what if you're lieing?" A sword seemingly materialized in his hand. "Getting rid of you will get me one step closer to the place of my father, the King's royal guard" He skillfully weaved his sword through the air as the ninja drew her katana.

Bic: "You just ruined my day, so now i'm pissed off!" shouted rethor, who then put his hands together and transmuted the sword into a spear.

Rethor ran straight at Latio and Kai, ready to strike. Latio pulled out his scimitar, and sliced off the top of the spear. Kai pulled out her scimitar, and ran straight at Rethor, who was defenseless. Kaede then ran in the way, causing the scimitar to pierce her body. Rethor was shocked, and so was his opponents. Kaede then seemed to poof away, and then the real Kaede ran at Kai from behind Rethor. She kicked at her, and knocked her back. Kai pulled out her wings, and gained balance before hitting the ground. Latio dashed at rethor, who then transmutated an from the ground. Latio sliced at Rethor, who blocked the attack with the axe. Kaede then pulled out her katana, and ran straight at Latio. He heard her ahead of time, and jumped out the way before she struck.

Kai then charged lightning from her sword, and fired it at Kaede and Rethor. Rethor then transmutated a block of stone in front of himself, blocking the attack. Kaede strafed out of the way, and dashed straight at Kai, ready to strike.

OoC: DD, do you mind editing your post a little? My post has the names already.

Way ahead of you on that one. I saw your post and editted mine already.

OoC: Oooo, fun fight.

BiC:

Kaede's katana met Kai's scimitar with a piercing ring. The skillful ninja jumped back and made another dash at the dragoon. Kaede was fast but Kai wasn't bad in the speed departmen, either. This time when their blades clashed, the dragoon released the lightning magic from her Amythest, covering her scimitar with purple lightning. The magic quickly travelled from the warrior's sword to the ninja's, shocking her in the process. It didn't really hurt Kaede but gave enough time to Kai to make a hit.

Just as the dragoon was about to, however, a pillar of rock came between her and her target. Rethor had managed to break away from his duel with Latio long enough to transmute that barrier. They have good teamwork. Both Scaptur and Chosen broke away from their duels and met back-to-back with each other. "We're going to have to work as a team to pull this off," Kai whispered to the fox.

"Right."

Kaede pulled out an ice scroll, and ripped it out of its case. Ice then formed under Latio and Kai's feet, holding them to the ground. Rethor then transmuted a longsowrd into his hand, and ran straight at his vunerable opponents. Kai pulled out her wings and began flapping at Rethor. The wind was pushing him back, but Rethor then put his hands to the ground. He then made a block of earth appear behind himself, which held him from flying back. Latio sliced at the ice, making it break on impact. He then cut at kai's feet, breaking the ice which held her as well. Rethor then put his hands to the ground and made a wall of earth surround Latio and Kai. Kai flew straight out of the small prison, while Latio jumped out. Latio then ran at Rethor, who was expecting him. Kaede then transformed in Rethor, and made many clones of herself. The small army of Rethors began running at Kai, who dropped from the sky. The Rethor clones began slicing at Kai with their longswords, making it impossible for her to fight back. She flew into the air, and tried to find a way to hold Kaede and her clones back. Latio and Rethor's weapons struck with a piercing ring.

"Say, is that sword made of silver and gold?" asked Rethor.

"Why do you ask?" said Latio.

"Because it'll make a fine necklace when i'm done with it!" shouted Rethor as he grabbed hold of Latio's sword. Rethor began transmuting, but was interrupted by a blast of purple energy from Kai. Luckily, Rethor didn't get a chance to change Latio's sword, so Latio jumped back. Meanwhile, the clones of Rethor all joined together back into one, and changed back into Kaede.

"You guys are strong, but not strong enough!" shouted Rethor as he placed his hands on the ground, and the earth under Latio turned into quicksand...

"The ground is eating me!" Latio shouted

"Quicksand!"

"Think you can lift me?"

"I'll try." Kai said timidly. She outspread her wings and grabed Latio by the torso. The dragoon then flew up into the air and flung the foxfolk down behind Rethor. Before hitting the ground, he raised his Horizon Scar and slashed at the straps that held the alchemist's armour on and, not suprisingly, the armour fell off.

"That'll take care of him!" Latio chuckled. "Now for the ninja."

"Latio! Watch out!"

"For wha-" Latio gasped. Kaede had stabbed Latio in the right shoulder blade, leaving the foxfolk paralized

"You b****." Kai said to Latio's attacker. She droped her sword, clenched her fist and punched the ninja in the face. Kaede retaliated and slashed her across the leg. The furious dragoon didn't care. She just wanted to avenge Latio.

OoC: This should turn things up a notch.

"So you managed to get my armor off..." chuckled Rethor. "But that's not enough to stop me!" He scooped his armor together, and placed his hands over it, and turned it into a sword broadsword. The sword had a redish-tinted glow, and allowed Rethor to still perform his alchemy. He grabbed the sword and ran straight at Kai.

"Stop!" shouted Kaede. Rethor reluctantly stopped. Kaede pulled out a scroll which had a flame design on it, and ripped it out of her case. Fireballs appeared in the sky, and fell directly toward Kai, Kaede, and Latio. Kaede leapt backwards, getting out of the way. Kai pulled out her wings and flapped at the fireballs, making them become smaller, and making them fly towards Kaede. Kaede then performed the piercing-eye jutsu, allowing her to see what would happen next. Kaede lept out of the way, and Kai lunged at her. Kaede saw her coming during the piercing eye jutsu, so she made a solid of herself. The both pulled out a scroll, but one had a dokuro scroll, and the other a binding scroll. The both ripped the paper out of the scrolls, and Kai became trapped in a prison of magic, while a Dokuro, a katana dipped in poison, appeared above one of Kaede's clones. Kai fell to the ground, and Kaede fused with her clone, and landed on the ground. Latio gained his strength, and grabbed his sword in anger. He got up and ran straight at Kaede.

"Latio no!" shouted Kai. Kaede didn't want to kill Latio, so she gave him a chance. Latio swung at Kaede swiftly, but Kaede easily dodged each strike. Kaede then blocked a strike with Dokuro, and swiftly knocked Latio's scimitar out of his hand with her other katana. Latio was now defenseless, and Kai was stuck in the prison of magic. It seemed as if they had no hope left.

OoC: Wow, my character cussed! So, DD, you want to play rough? Prepare yourself! (This is turning into a really good fight.)

BiC:

Latio! Kai was trapped in a magical cage and the fox was in a very bad position. He was wounded on his right shoulder and now had a poison-covered katana held at his throat.

"Too bad. You actually put up somewhat of a good fight," Rethor said as he approached the dragoon's prison. Kaede said nothing and looked back at Scaptur. Latio dare not move for a flick of the ninja's wrist would probably mean the end of his life. "What to you think?" the alchemist asked Kaede.

"They are worthless," she simply said and raised Dokuro in preparation for a finishing blow.

"Stop!" Kai yelled from her prison. Kaede's and Rethor's eyes both peered over at the panicked dragoon.

"What are you going to do, dragoon?" the alchemist laughed but gave a questioning glance to Kaede, Latio, then Kaede again.

Kai couldn't think of anything that would help Latio. But I can't let that ninja hurt him! The electric dragoon's mind kept turning back to one solution. It was beyond risky but there seemed to be no other choices left. Putting her hands together in prayer, she called to the dragons that ruled the elemental forces. The sky suddenly became dark from storm clouds and lightning flashed through it. Kai's body started to glow with a purple light. She was summoning the strength to call the dragon of thunder, Ranarath.

OoC: *dramatic music plays* How do you like them apples!? Actually, I've never used the Ranarath spell before. But don't worry, DD, I wouldn't try to kill your characters. This is kind of a trial test.

Ooc: Yes, I do play it rough, thank you. Let's see how much Ranarath can do...

Bic: "What the heck is that?" asked Rethor, looking at the sky. Kaede once again did piercing-eye jutsu, and saw what Kai was trying to do.

"Prepare yourself alchemist." said Kaede. "Don't take them lightly."

"Oh I won't," said Rethor confidently. "The battle's already over."

"No..." said Kai. "The battle has just begun!" A great beast appeared in the sky, and formed into the figure of a dragon.

"Electricity?" said Rethor. "She's managed to create a large amount of energy!"

"And it's coming closer this way..." filled in Kaede.

Suddenly, the binding spell broke, and Kai was free. She grabbed her scimitar, and leapt at Rethor. She managed to stab him on his shoulder, making him drop his broadsword.

"Stay down!" shouted Kaede as she pulled out a wind scroll. As she pulled it out, a wave of wind was launched at Kai, knocking her down. "Alchemist, I hope you have a plan." said Kaede.

"Let's see..." Rethor thought for a while. "Got it!" Rethor put his hand on his sword, and put his other hand on the ground. Then, Ranarath leapt at Kaede and Rethor. Just then, a large fist of stone appeared, and struck Ranarath head-on. The blast caused the rock to shatter, and Ranarath to shatter as well. But then, Ranarath re-assembled, and went for another lunge. Rethor made a thick wall stone. Ranarath slammed into it, and made it shatter, but caused itself to weaken.

"Unbelieveable!" said Latio.

"Now!" shouted Kaede. She pulled out her throwing needles, and Rethor transmuted them into magnetic needles. She then threw them all Ranarath, and something chaotic happened. The magnetic needles pushed Ranarath back! They continued to push Ranarath back until he began to fade away.

"No..." said Kai under her breath.

Ooc: Um...yeah. Did science kick magic's butt or what? Oh wait, don't end the battle yet!

Bic: Kaede then pulled out her life pill, and broke it in half. She gave one piece to Latio, and the other to Kai.

"This should be enough to let you survive the desert..." said Kaede, handing the pieces to her opponents...

Ooc: There! Howya them apples?

OoC: That was a good fight! We'll definitely have to do it again sometime.

Good fight. *Shakes hands with DD* Lady Grace. *bows*
