Mt. Sinion (Safer, Vacumgod, Bloodsword)
OoC: Well, now that I’m back I figured a good battle would be with the people whom I know, mainly the WOTS (warriors of the soul) people. I definitely need some filling in because I’ve been gone for like 6 months now, but anyway, back to the fight.
Pretty much a free for all, or 2 vs. 2, or whatever you guys want. I’m not really expecting this to be a long battle (nothing compared to temple of souls) but just a reunion type thing-a-ma-jig. Since I have sporadic power (thank hurricane Wilma for that) I’ll try to get on as much as possible, now, on with the fight! (Safer, I’ll use your new Alex for the opening, Vacuum - Jaeger, Bloodsword - Ahab, if you guys want to use someone else just ask, I’ll edit the names in the post.) BiC: Alex woke up with a jolt. He looked up at the moon, wondering what woke him so abruptly. He thought back to his dream, or rather nightmare. “It was just a mountain,” he told himself calmly. “Just a mountain.” He fell back to sleep uneasy at the task ahead. Two weeks earlier Alex stumbled upon something weird, a piece of papyrus. At that time he was crossing the Setaku Desert. He picked up the paper to find a note directed to him: Alex, Come to Mt. Sinion, tell no one. The sentence was simple, and to the point, but still questions were left unanswered. “Who is this from? How do they know who I am, where I am?” These questions ran through Alex’s mind. He was on his way to Kyla, who was temporarily staying by Lake Kakambio, deep in the jungle. Mt. Sinion, Alex knew, was a steep chain of false summits. A climber would come to one, think he is done, but than realize that there is another thousand feet till the next false summit. It is a tall mountain, but barely brushed by the snow at its long, flat summit. It is said that a yeti roams the top, with glinting red eyes, feeding on unfortunate mountain goats. Lucky for Alex, Mt. Sinion was on his way to his dad, so he figured he would scale the peak, check this out, and than go to Kyla. Alex Started to run, Mt. Sinion was about 9 miles away at the edge of the desert, and he was edger to see who sent this message, nothing would stand in his path. He got the the base of the mountain and looked up, a summit, probably false was looming over him. He backed up a few hundred feet and sprinted full speed to the mountain. As he approached the base he jumped, flying several hundred feet in the air, landing on top of the summit. “Bah… it’s false,” he said panting, trying to catch his breath. He sat on a nearby rock and pulled out the papyrus again, the message daunted him. He begin a much slow, tradition mountain climbing technique, aiming for the next false summit. He went hand over climbing for almost six hours, reaching two more false summits in the mean time. When he reached the third he looked up, and saw something, something strange. Before he could react he confronted an onslaught of snow, ice, and wind. He quickly dove into the ground and buried his face to protect himself. When the burst subsided, he found himself once again climbing. “It hasn’t snowed this low on the mountain for as long as I can remember… and right before the storm I could have sworn I saw something lighting up. I have a feeling that that storm wasn’t all natural,” he said to himself as he approached yet another summit. There he saw a goat, and he also heard his stomach aching for food. He decided he would make camp here, as it was getting late. He hit the goat with a faster burst of Helios-mana, it dropped dead. He started a fire, when he heard a sound, like someone snoring. He looked up at a nearby tree, straining his eyes in the night. “Who are you?” he said quietly. “I asked, who are you?” he said louder this time. “WHO THE HELL ARE YOU,” he was surprised at how loud he said that, but he noticed something moving in the tree. “Aye mate, settle down,” a figure came out from the tree, Alex couldn’t see who it was, but the accent wounded vaguely familiar. “Jaeger?” Alex questioned. “The one and only,” “What are you doing here?” “I should ask the same to you, I was just sleeping and you come up here yelling at me.” “Sorry, I was startled, but seriously, why are you here?” “I got this note-” “Me too, on some old paper right?” “Yea, lemme see yours,” Alex produced the small note, and Jaeger took out the same one, just with his name on it, “perfect match, looks like we both have a date with the same woman,” “What?” “Nothing, just an old man’s jo-” “An old man’s jo, what are you talking about,” but Jaeger wasn’t listening, he was staring at the edge of the cliff. “Do you ‘ear that?” “Hear what,” “That clinking sound,” “What sound?” Meanwhile on the cliff below, Ahab readied his desert eagles. “We’ll see who’s boss now you dirty Yeti” “I just heard a click,” Jaeger whispered, “…run,” “What!” Alex said in surprise. Suddenly Ahab jumped up onto the ledge and let out a spray of bullets. Jaeger grabbed Alex and darted up the tree, just as bullet missed Alex’s ankle. “Show yourself you stupid Yeti,” “Ahab? What in the hell are you doing, its us, Alex and Jaeger,” Alex said catching his breath from the sudden shock. “Oh, sorry,” Ahab responded. “Yea, you should be, you nearly killed both of us,” Jaeger said coolly. “What are you guys doing here?” “Did you get a small, old paper addressed to you, telling you to come up here and tell no one?” Alex inquired. “Yea, how did you know that?” “We both got them also,” “This is a conspiracy! I could be in Vegas right now but instead I’m on an endless mountain with you too buggers,” “Right than… so who do you think sent them,” Alex asked Ahab Ahab readjusted his guns under his overcoat, “I honestly have no idea,” “Lets just climb the damn mountain already,” OoC: So yea, obviously it was Rio who sent the letters (link in sig as usual), so continue from there. |
