The 1000 Foot Tower (1v1)(Anyone)

OoC: This is the first battle I've hosted, let's try to finish it, and remember, LATIO IS BLIND! (Link in sig.)

BiC: Latio was opening every room he could find as he heard the clashing of metal blades off in the distance. He opened the next door in the giant dome, and behind it, a desert that reminded him of the wasteland the foxfolk was sent to The Dome from. He walked through the stone door, which slammed shut behind him. He walked north, until he felt something very tall, about ten meters across, block the harsh wind. "Hmmm... A tower? There was no tower when I left." Latio pondered. He felt around the circular tower until he found the opened entrance. The silver fox entered and found no stairs. "A tower without stairs... How do you get up it!?" He suddely sensed a presence higher in the tower, falling quickly...

OoC: Okay, Latio, I'll take a swing at you. Be forewarned, I'm new at this.

BiC

Kai was standing at the top a stone tower, admiring the view. Something about deserts captivated her, maybe it was the fact that flying was so much easier in one. Whatever the reason, she loved to be in deserts. Not to mention it was nice to find such a "room" in this crazy Dome. The dragoon had explored some of the places, many of which weren't a pleasant experience.

She let out a content sigh as the warm wind blew around her. I probably should get going, she realized. Since this tower had no stairs, the only way to get down was the same way she got up, flying. The female leaped of the tower and, right before she hit the ground, Kai opened her wings and landed gracefully. The only problem, she wasn't alone in this desert.

The young foxfolk quickly took out his scimitar and demanded, "Who's there?!"

"I'm Kai Chosen. Who are you?" the dragoon quickly introduced herself as.

Though the foxfolk relaxed a little, he kept his scimitar in hand, "I'm Latio Scaptur."

OoC: LOL! Giant scimitar on giant scimitar! Oh, and they are at the bottem of the tower.

BiC:
"Are you friend or foe?" Latio demanded, preparing to retaliate.

"Neither" Kai answered, softly.

"Y'know how to get outta this place, M'lady?" the silver fox asked.

"I'm just looking for a new place to live, foxfolk." Kai said in an increasingly dragon-like voice.

"You sound angered, why is this?"

Kai calmed down "Oh, nothing."

"Well, from the sounds of fighting outside, we should train a little, just a friendly little match, between you and me"

"You're on!" Kai said, as she got into fighting stance.

Latio quickly backfliped into the air and jumped off the wall as Kai shot a bolt sword spell that stunned the foxfolk as he fell to the ground.

"That wasn't very challenging" Kai mocked.

"Huh-wuh" Latio mumbled as he shook his head, dazed. "C'mon, no spells!"

"How can I have a real practice battle without using all my skills?"

"Well... C'mon, I've not had a real battle since... a VERY long time."

"You're the one who issued this challenge!"

"Fine, let's get on with it!"

Even though it wouldn't be much of a practice battle without using all their abilities, Kai did admit her bolt sword was a cheap shot. Well, let's see if he better at swordplay. The dragoon lunged forward, hoping to use her speed to get an advantage. To her surprise, Latio quickly parried her attack and retaliated with his own. She was impressed by Latio's agility, and twirled around to strike low. Again, Scaptur blocked and countered with a diagonal cut. Then they backed off for a moment.

"I'm impressed with your speed. I thought that maybe you would be an easy target after I hit you with my spell," Kai commented. Throughout the swift clash, she noted how the foxfolk's ear continually moved and his nose twich to every smell. There was also something strange about how he fought...

"You shouldn't be. We foxfolk are suberb when it come to agility, environmental awareness, and our senses. As for that spell," Latio commented, "you won't catch me off guard again."

OoC: I have a feeling this is going to be a cool match.

OoC: Couldn't of said it better myself. Gotta go to bed, so it's a short post, sorry...

BiC: Latio jumped into the air and slashed downward at the dragoon. She stood her ground and held up her sword to block, but latio switched the angle of his swing, slicing off the tip of Kai's wing. She screeched as a human-dragon blood ooze driped out the wound. Latio silently landed behind her as she retaliated with a sword spin style attack, wounding his left arm. "Nice" Latio commented as he clotted the blood with a ripped off strip of his leather shorts

He cut off part of my wing! Kai thought in disbelief but now kept her eyes locked on Latio. She moved her wing to make sure it wasn't too damaged. Though pain coursed through it, her dragon wing functioned properly. Fortunately, she had managed to wound Scaptur during that skirmish on the arm. This was definitely one lesson learned the hard way.

"Your going to pay for that one. I'm going all out now," Kai said in a playful and threatening voice.

"I thought you said you were already going to give me all you've got," Latio remarked.

"That I did," the female warrior replied, then made another charge at the male fighter. But instead of meeting sword to sword, she stopped in mid-attack and launched a shock spell at Latio, stunning him.

"Ah!" Scaptur gasped in surprise. The dragoon resumed her attack and cut Latio on the right arm, too, but not before he managed to recover and deliever a blow to her right leg. Both warriors speedily covered both wounds and began to circle.

OoC: Even if it was short, that post was pretty good. I wonder how Ry-san will act when she finds out two of her intermidiates are battling.

OoC: You accidentally spelt "remarked" wrong. Dang, running outta adjectives. What assignment are you on?

BiC: Latio, quickly losing strength, had to drop his silver blade. He felt the ground as he circled the round room, searching for anything of use. The quick fox scooped up some sand off the cold, stone floor and threw it towards the wounded dragoon. She quickly raised her wing in front of her, blocking the sand away from her eyes. Latio used this opportunity to leap behind Kai and kick her in the back. She grunted and swinged her wing back at Latio, batting him against the wall behind her. She turned around and pinned Latio against the wall with her arms.

OoC: You may have the final post, or continue it for awile. Your choice, M'lady.

OoC: Whoops, maybe I should proofread mine a little better. I'm waiting for Ry-san to grade assignment 3. Oh, why did you leave me with the choice to end it or not?

BiC:

Kai looked at Latio as he was pinned to the wall. Though it was soft, she could him panting. She was out of breath, too, but was trying to hide that fact. The fox's ears were flat against his skull; he appeared prepared to accept a punishing blow. But instead the tired dragoon released her hold on him.

"You shouldn't let your opponent go so easily," the wounded Scaptur warned.

"I'm worn out and so are you," stated the weakened dragoon. Then she held out her hand, "It was a good fight, though." The foxfolk accepted her handshake. Without saying anything, Latio walked over, picked up his scimitar, and started to leave. "Hey!" she called out. The proud Latio turned around to acknowledge her. "We'll have to fight again." Kai then held out her left wing. Instead of ending in a curved tip, it now ended in a small stump, "I won't let you get away with wounding my wing."

Scaptur smiled at the dragoon's comment and replied, "Maybe next time I'll get the other." He then continued to leave.

"Yeah right!" Kai yelled back.

OoC: I hope I ended it okay. And we really will have to duel again.

OoC: Nice ending, and yeah, we will duel again!
