:ZU OB; Ascius vs. PrinceJake

OoC: We've been pitted against each other. I don't think I've ever dueled anyone besides you. It's insane to the max 5000.

Do you want to go first, or second?

I'll let you have the honor of setting up the arena and going first...especially since I'm feeling undercreative at the moment. Please go ahead.

OoC: Okay.

IC: Ascius walks to the holodeck's computer. He types in random things, like a steep cliff surrounding them. The arena is a circle, 3000 feet in diameter. The tiled floor sprouts dead trees and boulders around the northern side, and in the middle, spreading to the east, a desert. In the western and southern sides, a clearing of grass, all open. It's night, and the moon is full, lighting the competitors' faces with an eerily yellow light.

Ascius draws Tensikato. It looks different, somehow.
"I just had it refined not too long ago. The metal is stronger, and can reflect some of your more... energy-related attacks."
Ascius's eyes flash red as Tensikato lights up. Jake and Ascius have been in this situation before, two friends duking it out for fun. It's different now. This is an official tournament.
"It's too bad we had to fight in the first round. If I win, you can cheer me on from the sidelines."
"Jake, this time, losing is out of the question!"
Ascius runs at Jake, and thrusts Tensikato at him. He moves swiftly to the side, and retaliates with a shot from his buster. Ascius slashes at the buster shot, and he struggles against it, then jumps to the side and pulls Tensikato back. The buster shot had failed.
"See, I told you Tensikato was refined."
Jake looked amused.
"I'll have to step it up, then."

OoC: Let it be known that this fight ends at whatever time you have this post as, three days from now. For me, it's done at 11:28 PM, September 22nd.

OoC: That's not a whole lot of time you know...
IC: Jake went ahead and drew a few chips. He examinded Ascius carefully. He had improved a great deal, and had shown how mucn improvement without doing anything much at all.

"I hope you know I don't plan on going easy on ya Ascius." Jake said, as he prepared a strategy.

"Likewise Jake." Ascius responded, reading Jake's possible moves. Jake activated AntiFire .
"I know how you like that little fire sword of yours Ascius, so this should make you think about whether you want to use it so quickly or not." He activated another chip. Spreader . He fired what appeared to be a normal buster shot. The shot split in midflight into 9 blasts of equal size and power. Ascius began to block them with his sword, but one or two got around him.

Jake activated Mole chip and dug underground during the onslaught of Spreader shots. In an instant he appeared behind Ascius and activated Shot Gun . Ascius spun around quickly to block the shot. His sword knocked the Shot Gun back into Jake's face knocking him back, but when the blast came into contact with the Tensikato, a blast erupted behind the sword and flung itself into Ascius as well. The after effect of the Mole chip activated, Jake was transported back to where he started. He whipped out Poison Mask and prepared to activate it next turn.

OoC: Yeah, I see it.

Hmm..... A fight without Tensikato's fire?

*Ascius hops forwards after being hit in the back, and calls back the fire into the sword.*

Well, let's see what I can do without the fire...

*Ascius runs up to Jake, then quickly jumps to the side. As Jake turns, Ascius slashes his sword at Jake. He jumps back, and looks at Ascius. Ascius sheaths Tensikato, then jumps into the air. He casts a shadow over Jake as he whips his cape open, revealing six throwing knives. Ascius throws them all at Jake, at the same time. He dodges five of them, but it hit in the arm by a stray one. Ascius lands on the ground again, and stands up. As Jake removes the knife from his arm, Ascius runs up and slashes him across the stomach.*

"Aagh! Why did I fall for that?!?"

*Jake angrily pulls out a few chips, and shows one to Ascius with a huge grin on his face.*

"See this chip? I do hope you remember it Ascius" Jake said, flashing the Poison Mask chip at Ascius.

"Do you really think I'd stick around to get hit with that thing Jake? You're going to have to catch...wah!" He dived to his left, barely dodging a paralyzing Zap Ring . Jake whipped out another couple of Zap Rings and fired them all in Ascius's direction. But they mostly missed.

"Looks like I can't get you with these...maybe I could use a hand.." He pulled out a special yellow chip and activated it. "Go RabbiRing viruses!" 3 RabbiRings appeared and began to fire off a great barrage of ZapRings. While he tried to avoid them, Jake continued to activate chips.

"SandStage" . The ground became covered in 5 feet of sand. This made it very difficult to run around. Ascius was finally hit with a ZapRing, he'd only be held in place for a second. Jake took action quickly. He activated Metal Stage Then fired a Magnet Bomb at Ascius . He was surrounded by a magnetic aura that would bond to the metallic ground. He finally activated Magnet Line Which further strengthened the grip the ground had on Ascius.

"There's virtually no escape now, now for Poison Mask!" The giant shield that looked like a big grinning mask appeared in Jake's hands. He held the shield up to Ascius and a great cloud of poison exploded, enshrouding Ascius in the cloud of purple toxic smoke.

*Ascius held his breath, wishing he'd never told Jake about his weakness to poison gas. He started thinking, in denial, that he would have found out anyway. Tensikato was shaking in its sheath, and it brought Ascius back from his thoughts to the battle. There had to be some way out. Ascius looked around for a throwing knife, but they had sunk into the sand, and hadn't come back up. Ascius's cape felt heavy from the magnetic aura pulling down on the two throwing knives remaining in his cape. That was it! He might be able to hide under his cape from the smoke. He let himself fall, and hid his head under the cape. The air was still poisonous, but breathable. As the good air under the cape began to run out, so did the poisonous air from the mask. Ascius got up, and looked at Jake. He hadn't taken much damage yet. This was not good. Jake hadn't used that combination against Ascius before, and he wasn't ready for that kind of damage. But, he did have an idea. He ran, then jumped at Jake, and pushed his buster arm down with Tensikato's dull side. Jake used his free arm to try and punch Ascius, but he was ready. He jumped to the side, and swung the sword away from Jake's arm, towards his shoulder. The sword made contact. Jake jumped back, clutching his shoulder. Ascius also moved away, out of breath from the damage the poison had done.*

"Well... You have improved, Ascius."

" *Cough* The Poison Mask has never finished me off completely. It does hurt, though. But I can still beat you."

"We'll see about that."

Notice to combatants, Tourments has been canceled due to user inactivty. Can't have a tournment if people don't particapte.

Maybe next time I can organzie this better.

Um...well in that case, do you think we should atleast finish the fight?

But.... This was one of my best fights ever! Right, Jake? Wasn't this awesome?

Yes, I agree Ascius, this has been one of our better fights, I'd say for the both of us. Let's save these post for the future then. *save*

Hope we'll get to finish this sometime.
