Practice battle (1 vs 1)

OOC- I will be using my new version of Nicoli. Anyone can join, as long as you are a decent writer. (It doesn't have to be Tolkein, just good enough that we can battle and understand what's happening.)
Nicoli's Profile

BIC- Nicoli sat back against one of the boulders that littered the island, as he dug his boots into the crimson clay.

“So... I wonder who The Dome has sent me to train against today...” he said as he scanned the horizon, not showing a sign of life, with the exception of the lizard scurrying across the ground, “Whoever this is supposedly comes here often enough...” Nicoli looked across the deserted plain of granite and limestone once more.

“They may need to get new researchers...”

All of a sudden, Nicoli could hear the faint sound of movement behind him, just a few hundred feet away, “Well... lets see who this guy is that I’ve heard so much about...”

BiC: Varimathras snuck closer, bo staff out and eyes infrared. His opponent had stood up and walked towards the edge of the island, and Varimathras was stealthier than a ninja and a bat combine, he wouldn't have anything to worry about. He made a globe of darkness around his enemy and himself.
"What the-" spoke his opponent, but Varimathras had already cracked him in the back of the head with a jewel from his bo staff.

“Augh...” thought Nicoli as the back of his head throbbed in pain. As he looked around him to analyze his opponent, all the black-clad warrior could see was an enclosure with a hue identical of his tunic. Nicoli put on one of his signature smirks, “Heh heh... this is absolutely perfect. I’m assuming this was created by magic...”

Seemingly from the dome itself came, “What are you laughing about?!”

Nicoli put his left hand on the ground as well as his right knee, “This... your cloak is about to be dissipated, along with any hope of winning this battle. Do you think you can hide behind your spells?” he began to laugh, “Well, think again... SÚYË!” Nicoli yelled at the top of his lungs.

A white flame surrounded Nicoli, absorbing all of the dark energy that was used to fuel Varimathras’s attack, and in turn, unveiling the sun once more.

“Not only that, but I can use darkness súyë against this guy for a little while...” Nicoli thought as his formerly white flame began to turn from white, to gray, then to jet black.

The elf was still attempting to rebound when Nicoli hurled a boulder at him using one of his cyclones, which took a dark color.

Varimathras easily avoided the attack by executing one of his gigantic leaps, however, Nicoli was prepared for this, and unleashed another dark cyclone toward him. Varimathras was caught inside it, and was slammed full-force against one of the many boulders.

With that, Nicoli aborted súyë and returned to hs normal state, “Well well, not exactly what you were expecting eh?”

OoC: Very well, but many people underestimate my dark elf friend

BiC: Varimathras leaped in the air which Nicoli predicted. He chucked a rock at Varimathras which would hit his head on the mark if he wasn't staying in the air via levitation.
"Seems I've underestimated the power of you, ruddy dark elf! Your kind are not welcome here!" yelled Nicoli. Varimathras let himself fall four feet down and resuspended himself. Nicoli took his sword and charged, knowing the dark elf would block. But the dark elf didn't. Nicoli was blinded and his skin was being seared by dense light energy. Varimathras smirked and struck Nicoli's ankles. He fell but recoiled in mid-fall, spinning around and landing on his fingers and toes facing the ground. He jumped back up and did a triple side spin and lashed out with his sword which Varimathras dodged by ducking. Nicoli's heavy boot found Varimathras's jaw. His jaw snapped and he staggered back a step. He quickly recovered and jumped over Nicoli completely, landing in the water.

Nicoli rushed towards him. Varimathras was underwater, so Nicoli jumped in too. It was a hot spring, so he could swim far faster. Of course, Varimathras can't swim, he just ducked his head underwater, holding his breath. He was long out of the water. Nicoli was swimming around rapidly, trying to find the dark elf. Varimathras stood up and quickly froze the water completely. He saw the body of Nicoli freeze to a complete halt.

Varimathras ran to a tree, jumping to the top. He kept an eagle-eye watch on Nicoli, just incase he tried something.
