Fire of the Angels(anyone, any number)
OoC: Hello, and welcome! I will be using my new character, Nuria. The link is in my sig. Anyway, this is kinda a treasure hunt. Somehow, everyone meets this cloaked old man walking in a village. He tells us that there is a hidden treasure deep within the Forest of Red Dreams, which is a forest where every part of the trees are red, and the grass is red. At the edge of the forest, we meet eachother. Okay?
BiC: Nuria looked at the bustling crowd, going around in all directions in the market square. It was early in the morning, and the sun shown brightly. Most of the people were hurrying to buy breakfast. Some people were trying to shop at places early, before the bigger crowds came. Nuria sighed, and walked towards a stand. She needed to buy something, she was hungry. She pulled out the few coins she had left, and bought a bagel. "Miss, if you give me your food, I will tell you a secret." said an old man, cloaked and hooded. Nuria thought he wasn't talking to her, so she just ignored him. "Miss?" asked the man. Nuria turned this time. "Are you talking to me?" she asked. "Yes, miss." said the man. "Oh, sorry." she walked over to the man. "What is the secret?" she asked. "I will tell you a secret about treasure... If you give me your food." the man told her. "Okay, here." she said, handing it to the man. The man bit a huge chunk out of it and chewed happily. "Now will you tell me?" asked Nuria. "One moment..." said the man in a muffled voice, his mouth full. Five minutes later, the man was finished. "Thank you. Now I shall tell you about the treasure. I almost got to it when I was a young lad, but I almost died, and I had to run." the man said, starting his story. "Now in a forest to the south-west, which people call the Forest of Red Dreams, there is a clearing. But this is no normal clearing. It has a golden circle in the middle. But this clearing is far within the forest, guarded by creatures. But the circle is not normal either, you see. When flames touch it, the edges glow. "Step into the middle, and you will be teleported to a strange place. I call it the Plain of Fire. That is as far as I have gotten." said the man, finishing his story. "You will have to find out the rest." he said. "Okay. I need more money, so I'm going." said Nuria. "Good luck, Nuria." said the man. Nuria turned around away from the man. She turned around again. "Wait, how do you know my na-" she asked, but the man was gone. Turning back around, she walked out of the town. Her next stop: The Forest of Red Dreams.

Re: Fire of the Angels(anyone, any number)
OOC: Harges needs a work out, I haven't used him as much as my other characters.
BIC: Harges stood in the village square. The fallen god was feverishly thinking of ways to usurp his former title "God of Wrath" from his son Gorin. A strange garlic smell suddenly pierced through his concentration. Turning to look at the source of the smell, Harges saw a ragged old man. "Oi, hello there lad." said the old man, obviously oblivious to the fact that Harges was only three minutes younger than the three godesses of Hyrule. "What do you want kid." muttered Harges. He knew that the old man was quite possibly the oldest mortal in the village, but was nothing compared to Harges' age. "If you tell me a story, I'll tell ye a story about treasure." said the old man. Harges suddenly snapped his arm out and grabbed the old man by the collar of his robe. The former wrath god's other arm turned into a snake, and snapped it's fang filled mouth within centimeter's of the old man's face. "You go first." said Harges. And so, the old man told Harges about where the treasure lie, and created a teleportation pad for Harges to step on. Harges dropped the old man and teleported to the Plains of fire, as the old man remembered calling the area before. The old man chuckled. "Nobody has gotten out from there alive." he said with a demonic echo to his voice. Deep in the old man's eyes, the brother of Harges smiled. "Who knew that possessing an old mage would come in such handy for disposing of those that I would have to kill on my own another time. I think I'll stay out of it from now on, except for maybe getting more people." The old man laughed to himself and walked away. OOC: Sorry if anyone didn't like that. Darges, Harges' brother, has the ability possess people. I thought that maybe Darges would have possessed the old man and gotten people to go to what he thinks would be their final resting place. If anyone wants me to change that and just end it with Harges stepping into the portal, then just say so and I'll edit it.

Re: Fire of the Angels(anyone, any number)
Chirro flew through the air eying the town below. It was a perfect day for flying but that's not what was on the young CloudRunner's mind. Chirro was starving an you know how youngsters get when they're hungry. He flew into the town and landed in a tree.
Not long after that, a feeble old man came and sat down on a bench in front of the tree. He carried a walking stick and a large hunk of freshly baked bread. He glanced at the tree and noticed Chirro. This didn't concer the young prince as most people assumed he was just a large bird. What did intrest him was the bread. After a moment the man said, "Well, you look like an intelligent youngster. If you sit with me I'll give you some food and tell you a true story about some treasure." Chirro hestated, not sure if it was a trap. "Come on, the food's not poisoned," the ancient man said taking a small bite of the bread. "I won't hurt you." Chirro fluttered to the bench and began eating the bread. As he ate the man began his story. "Once when I was young, not much older than you, I journeyed into the Forest of Red Dreams. I fought many monsters there and finally came upon a clearing. There was a golden circle in the center and when I held a torch to it, it glowed. I stepped into the circle and was transported to a place I call the Plain of Fire. I had to leave however for I was attacked. Before I left I happened to discover that there was a treasure hidden there." Chirro finished the bread and decided to hunt for the treasure. He needed a good challenge. As he flew off, he called back, "Thanks for the food and story, Mister." "Good luck," the old man called back. Secretly he chuckled. Another fool had fallen into his trap. |

Re: Fire of the Angels(anyone, any number)
Ooc: Ok here goes
BiC: Pang cooly walked into the village. It was the dark of night, moonlight shining off of the knives studded into his armor. He was glad to be here in the town, he had sensed there was something unnatural about the surrounding countryside, which glowed red and smelled of sulfur. He was drawn towards the light, where a man draped in rags stood. The man looked up froom his broken stoop and grinned from ear to ear. When Pang moved closer, the beggar motioned with his hands and ran off. Jogging to catch up, careful of the weapons sewn on his leather tunic, he met the man behind the tavern. "Hello, young sir," whispered the man. Pang simply nodded. "Searching for adventure, are ye?" Pang nodded again. "Well then," said the beggar, "In a clearing about three miles into the forest, there is a circle of golden light, a portal to a land I call the plain of fire." "Sure," said Pang. "Oh yes," replied the old man. "I went there when I was young, searching for a great treasure." "And why are you telling me this?" asked Pang. "Well, I'm an old man, and have no chance of retriveing the item. Better to share with the youth of today then die with the secret tomorrow." "Am I the only one who you told this to?" "No,no,no, three others know of yonder portal, all searching for the treasure, young one. In fact, they left in the morning, with a six hour head start." "Thank you old one, I will tell tales of your kindness to any who will listen." Pang bowed his head to the ground, and when he raised it again, the old beggar was gone, like paper in the breeze. Pondering over the recent events, Pang sprinted towards the red maze. |

Re: Fire of the Angels(anyone, any number)
OoC: Yay! More people! But even more people are welcome.
BiC: Nuria had been walking through the fields for hours. She had felt the presence of something behind her, but when she turned to look back she saw nothing. So now she had been ignoring the presence, and kept walking forward as though no one was there. As she could barely walk anymore, she saw something about forty feet away. Red, everywhere in the distance. The forest! She ran forward, but then remembered her wings, which she did not use much. Spreading them out, she flew, faster then she could walk or run. She was now at the front of the forest, smiling. She was so close. As she began walking in to the trees, she heard something behind her. Something that sounded like the flapping of wings.

Re: Fire of the Angels(anyone, any number)
Ooc: okay, i'll use Meteora (link in sig.)
Bic: Meteora was looking for work in a small town with a busy town square. He noticed a fine lookin lady with bright red hair. He was attracted to her, but not just because of her looks, she seemed kind but powerful. He never seen such a mysterious lady. He rememberd that he was hungry so he bought some bread and turned to the crowd. He studied them and there moves. Ha, none of these people could fight if their lives depended on it! The the assassin noticed a very suspicious old man who called aside that lady he noticed. The man seemed like he wanted to do harm. So Meteora got close enough to where he blended in with the crowd but could listen to their conversation. He heard the whole thing about the treasure and watched her head off. He has lead a life of death and hate so he though maybe he would follow this girl and be a hero when she gets into trouble. If he only knew who /what she really is. So Meteora followed at a stealthy pace. The old man disapeared with a smile knowing that he not only got the girl, but the man listening as well. |

Re: Fire of the Angels(anyone, any number)
Ooc: Treasure hunt? I'll join, and use Takeo, link in sig.
Bic: Takeo was tired of being called up for assassination missions, and decided to have a vacation. He traveled to a nearby town, and decided that would be a good place to stay. He sat down at the wall of a normal building, and heard a distant conversation...actually many conversations. The voice of an old man seemed to pop up now and then, but the voices of those speaking to him semed unique. They all seemed to be wanting to know something from him, as if he had a secret to tell. Takeo leapt ontop of the building he sat next to, and looked for the old man. He searched through the crowds, and spotted him. He turned invisible, and walked through the crowd to the old man. The man was sitting on a wooden crate, and seemed to not even notice Takeo. Takeo got close, but the man didn't even look his way. "You've been listening haven't you?" asked the old man. Takeo turned visible. "What were you telling those people?" Takeo asked. "You seem a little tired, have some food." said the old man, handing him bread. "No thanks. Now what were you saying to them." he asked again. The old man sighed. "Young people are just too persistant these days..." said the man. "I assume you heard most of the conversation, so i'll make this quick. Go south-west from here, and enter the forest. Look for a clearing, and there you should see a golden circle. Step into it, and you will be teleported to a field with red grass. You go through it and you will find a valuable treasure." "That's it?" Takeo asked. "Except for the fact that the clearing is guarded by many creatures." said the old man. "A couple monsters can't hurt me." said Takeo, and he was off. Takeo turned invisible, and leapt on the houses, heading south-west. He left the town and came upon a forest. He walked inside, and continued to travel until he heard the sounds of monsters. He went their direction, and saw a clearing. Just like the old man said it would be... thought Takeo. He went into the clearing, still invisible. Just to be safe, he created 3 clones of himself, and made them walk ahead. Nothing happened, until one of the clones was attacked by a monster. Takeo ran to the clones, and leapt over them. He ran past his clones, and made them disappear while he was a good distance away from the monsters. The monsters got confused, and went back to what they were doing. He walked a bit further, and turned visible. He saw a circle, and the edges began to glow. "He said walk into it..." said Takeo walking into the portal, and disappeared... Ooc: Get ready for Takeo! |

Re: Fire of the Angels(anyone, any number)
Pang ran southwest for an hour until he reached the edge of the forest. The red was everywhere. Trees, birds, grass, rocks, water and bushes were all unnaturally crimson. He remembered a legend he had heard as a boy: "So the alchemist fused the crimson elixer with the forest. After the joining, the forest broke to dust." Maybe the forest was moved away? thought Pang. He walked down the path for a few more feet, found a suitable tree and settled for the night. When he woke up, he heard two voices. He poked his head out of the tree and saw an.... angel?!?!!? speaking to a..... Flying lizard?!?!?!?! He tried to lean in closer for better hearing, but.....
CRACK! The branch he was hanging out of broke, and he was knocked out cold.

Re: Fire of the Angels(anyone, any number)
Brightwind sighed.
"Brother...must we go through this again?" He asked in exasperation. His brother was hunched over with his cloak wrapped tightly around him, his hood low over his face. Brightwind sighed again. "Brother, it is an inn. People are here to rest after a hard day in the fields with a cool drink. By the gods, theres no one here but farmers! Will you please just relax? Here, I'll get you another drink. What do you want? Ale? Tea? Wine? Cider?" Darkcloud just sat there watching the people in the inn. Brightwind sighed again and returned to his own wine. "Cider." Came a deep and resigned voice next to him. Brightwind smiled and signaled the serving girl. "Your brother is right you know." Said a voice right between the two. Both brothers spun around in their seats so fast that each would have found it comical of the other if they had not done it themselves. There was an old man, ancient even, sitting in a chair between theirs. "How did you get there?!" Asked Darkcloud in alarm. The old man simply smiled and said, "Well, I'm so thin that I don't weigh much, and therefor I don't make much noise. Anyway, I've got an offer for you two. I'll tell you how to get a lengendary object in return for a drink." "Deal!" Brightwind exclaimed immediatly. Darkcloud glared at him and hissed at him under his breath. "Brother! Must you be so casual with everyone? "I an not casual with everyone! By the gods, he is an old man!" He hissed back. The old man pretended not to hear them, but he smiled behind his mug as he took it from the serving girl. "Anyway, when I was a young lad, much more strapping than what I am now, I got lost in a forest just a few miles south of here. They call it the Forest of Red Dreams. Its comletely red, trees, grass, animals, and all. Anyways, I found a clearing with a golden circle right in the middle of it." He took another drink from his mug and sighed with satifaction. Well, it was the middle of the night when I found it, so I had a totch with me. When the flame touched the circle it glowed and when I stepped into it, I was transported to a place I call the Plane of Fire, where I had heard of a lost magical item." Brightwind leaned forward at that and asked eagerly, "Do you mean another plane? Another dimention?" "Perhaps. I am not sure. You see, I had to return due to injuries and I never returned. Thats why I'm telling you. I'm too old now, and what use are the old if they can't pass their knowledge to the young?" He laughed and stood up. "Well, I've had my drink and I've took you what I know. Oh, and be careful, theres lots of dangerous beasts there." "Thank you, sir," Brightwind said as he stood up as well, Darkcloud following his lead, "We'll go immediately!" He quickly exited the inn with Darkcloud right behind him. * * * They were only a few miles outside of the little town when Darkcloud grabbed Brightwind's arm and exclaimed in anger, "Brother! What is wrong with you? Following every rumor you hear! Have you lost all caution?" Brightwind looked rather taken aback for a moment, but smiled at his twin. "Of course not. I don't trust that old man. There was an odd arura about him. Something.......tainted. Anyways, I'm only doing this because it could prove profitable. Who knows what we'll find? It may help us find that devil of a mage who....who.....you know..." His voice turned sour and his face became dark. "Well....very well," Darkcloud hesitated, "but we must be careful. I have a feeling that we are being herded by a will not of our own. Anyway, we are almost there." He said pointing to a splash of red amonge the green of the hills. "Then come Darkcloud," Brightwind exclaimed cheerfully, patting his companion on the back, "we have a treasure to claim." |

Re: Fire of the Angels(anyone, any number)
As the day wore on, clouds began to form in the sky. It became harder to see the ground for young Chirro. He risked missing the clearing if he flew up high but flying lower could expose him to predatory birds. Finally, he decided to fly down to the edge of the forest and scout it out for dangers.
As he flew down, he realized a girl was standing there, hidden by the clouds. Or was she a girl? She looked like one but she also looked like an angel and from the sky, Chirro couldn’t tell for sure. He quickly landed in one of the red trees, hoping to not be noticed. However, the girl, for he could now see the angel was a girl, must have heard him for she looked up and spotted him. “Well you look a little lost,” the girl said probably to herself. “I’ve never seen a bird like you, but you don’t look like a bird.” Chirro sighed. “Well, at least you got that right, unlike most. My name’s Chirro by the way.” “Hello, I’m Nuria. It must get annoying, always being called something you’re not.” “Yeah, but if they do mistake me I can shoot them like this,” Chirro said letting off a fireball. Suddenly they heard a loud crack, a surprised yell, and a loud thump. “Oops,” Chirro said as he flew over to check on the fallen elf. OoC: Sorry if I portrayed Nuria wrong. Also, when I say elf, I mean it from Chirro’s point of view. |

Wake up........
Ugh..... wakey wakey! Pang opened his eyes. "Good he's u--" Pang backflipped from his position to a couple feet away. "Who are you?" he barked, uncertain of his surroundings. He was on the edge of a red forest..... "Friendly isn't he?" chuckeled the winged woman. "Argh!" Gods, his head hurt. "What are.... you two? "Well," chirped the dragon, "I'm Chirro, son of the queen of the cloudrunners." "And I'm Nuria, a fire elf and angel half-breed, and you are?" His head throbbed with every passing second, making it hard to think. "I'm Pang, Pang the..... the Furious. "Well, Pang the furious, where are you headed?" inquired the cloudrunner. "I was sent here by a beggar for..... for a golden circle. "Us too," nodded the elf. "Well, maybe we should get going." added the cloudrunner. Boom!! An explosion rocked the forest and split trees. "What was tha....." asked the cloudrunner, but the hunan and elf-woman were already running towards the source. Shrugging, he flew off after them. OoC: Sorry if I portrayed Chirro wrong, I haven't read his bio for days.

Re: Fire of the Angels(anyone, any number)
Harges laughed. He had always wondered what would happen if he stuck a powder keg in the middle of a gunpowder mine, and the result had been earth shaking. "Now, where is that golden circle that the old man told me about?" thought the former god. He suddenly heard the noise of footsteps, and ducked behind some rubble.
"Who's there!" shouted a voice. Harges muttered the "Power of oblivion." spell. As soon as the spell had taken its effect, Harges leapt up from behind the rubble. He turned his left arm into a blade, while his other arm stayed ready for whatever weapon he would need. "You don't want to risk angering a former god do you?" he asked.

Meteora was now trying as hard as he could to keep up with the half-breed. He now, had to try harder to go unnoticed because the elf had joined with two others. As he was running threw the trees he noticed that thoes he followed were at a dead stop. He quickly dove behind a nearby bush and watched what was going on. There appeared to be a large god demon thing threating the others.
Who or what is that guy! The assassin thought. As he readied his bow. Okay I wont fire until I am sure this guy is a true threat,....I dont want to blow my cover. Ooc: sorry it is so short, the stroy really hasnt formed yet. |

Re: Fire of the Angels(anyone, any number)
Darkcloud crouched in the tree, his nocked arrow moving from one party to the next. Behind him, Brightwind was sitting in the crook of a branch, tring to find a node or at least a ley-line that he could draw power from.
"I've got it." Brightwind suddenly breathed softly behind him. "Theres a node only a few yards beyond them." "Good. Now will you please get some shields on us?!" "Don't worry, I already have." "So...what should we do?" "For now, just see what happens." Brightwind said, gathering the energy from the node around him, preparing his hand crossbow as well as a magical bolt. |

Re: Fire of the Angels(anyone, any number)
OoC: This looks quool! Time for Bella's first battle. ^_^ Link in sig.
BiC: Bella walked along in the cool summer's night. The stars were shimmering overhead, and the full moon hung high in the sky, giving her enough light to see by. She could see the looming bulk of a forest ahead, and decided to make it to the edge of the forest and then stop until morning. After all, she thought. It's not like there's any reason to push myself. I'm just wandering. Man, it's been way too long since something exciting happened. As she neared the forest edge, a strong breeze blew into her face, blowing her redbrown hair back behind her like a fan. It also blew a twig with a few leaves on it into her face. The breeze died down, and the twig fell to the ground. Bella bent to pick it up, and examined it. "That's strange," she said aloud. "It's red. Not just the leaves, but the wood too. I've never seen anything like it." Bella looked up at the forest she was about to enter. She shrugged. "It's probably nothing. And even if it is, I did just say I wanted something exciting didn't I?" She walked for another half hour, by which time she was a fair ways into the forest. Finding a tree with a comfortable looking area between two of it's larger roots in which she could lay, Bella walked over and laid down. There were a few sticks and rocks, but it was nothing Bella wasn't used to. She was just starting to drift off to sleep when she heard some distant yells. Bella started awake and jumped up. She heard what sounded like yells, and what she could've sworn was a far off explosion. Quickly but cautiously, Bella raced through the forest, weaving through the trees, towards the noise. She stopped as she neared the sounds of the confrontation, and carefully krept into the nearby shadows to watch. OoC: For something a little different, I thought I'd make Bella have never met with the old man, or know anything about the treasure for that matter. ^_^

"What are you people doing here?!" shouted Harges. He was ready to shoot out a spear from his chest if they showed any signs of hostility towards him. "Who are you?!" one of them shouted back to him.
The former god didn't reply, but merely turned the tips of the fingers on his free hand into darts. If they attacked, he'd be able to shoot a spear and five darts at them before they even reached him. After an uncomfortable minute, Harges replied to the question. "I am Harges, the former god of wrath. And you people would be?"

Pang's mind was perfect, like a thin mirror. Deep in meditation, blind of everything except the demon god standing in front of him. The demon was powerful, for sure. He gave out an aura of superiority, standing like a king. Although he appeared young, he could sense more than a thousand winters etched into his soul. But he also sensed he could be defeated. The right strike in the right place could bring the demon to his knees.
"I am Pang the Furious." Pang dove farther into battle meditation. Ooc: Your move, again ![]()

Ooc: This thread will not die! I won't let it!
Bic: Pang burst into a fighting stance ready for any attack from the demon god. His arms were now in the shape of a spear and a snake. Finnally Pang attacked. He jumped at Harges, body flung out into the shape of a star. Harges jumped out of the way just in time. Pang landed on his stomach, the wind being knocked out of him. When he looked up, he stared into the eyes of a viper. In the seconds before the struk, Pang rolled hard right into a tree. He knew it was over, he couldn't get his hands up in time. As the head reared back to Harges laugh, a twang sounded in the air. Between the two compeitors was a quivering shaft. "That was onlya warning shot!" shouted someone

Re: Fire of the Angels(anyone, any number)
Harges turned to where the arrow had come from. He couldn't see anybody, as they were likely to be hiding in the branches of the numerous trees. "Your little sticks don't scare me!" roared Harges. He jumped into the trees nearest to him, and blended in quite easily with his red skin.
From the trees, Harges started to think about the people he had just met. One of them, the one who had attacked him, seemed to be hostile to him. The other ones however, showed no signs of hostility towards the former god. Harges turned to leave the forest, and found a bow and arrow ready to shoot him in the face.
