The Legend of The Rain Brothers ( 4 People )

OoC: Ok, EVERY ONE JOINING THIS THREAD READ THE FOLLOWING !!!!We need just four people and the basis of this story is that these four characters meet in a pub and decide to climb the Mountains of Silpentine where there is a great sword said to lay there and guarded in a dungeon with a great dragon at its center. I will be using MY character Elban and will also at some points of the story, "narrate" in a way. This could end up being a long one and we might even let some others join along the way so dont think youve been excluded if you find that we already have five peopleEVERY ONE JOINING THIS THREAD READ THE FOLLOWING dont be discouraged. Elban sat alone in the pub, he had one thought on his mind. He turned and looked around him, men from the surrounding townships sat everywhere. However, the picking looked slim. He needed men who were not afraid of death, or mountain snow. Men that would be willing to enter the deep chasams of Silpentine and come out alive no matter what the cost. Elban ordered up another drink from the bar tender. " Sir," Said Elban to the bar tender. The bartender rushed over, honored to oblige Elban the Honorable on such a fine busy night. " Whats your need?"
" I need you to make an announcement for me."
" Very well..." Said the bartender a bit curious. " State your proposal."
" Have all long distance lads come to me, Knight Elban here at the bar if they would like to acompany me on a dangerous road."

Ooc: Could I post asking for you to save a spot for me? I want to use my character Ziran, but he hasn't been approved yet.

OoC: I like doing these sorts of quests, so I'll join using... Crystal. Her profile is in BA Part 2 in my signature.

BiC: Crystal looked up from her ice-cold drink and turned to Elban.
"Did you say 'dangerous road'?" asked Crystal.
"Yes I did, but I don't think you'll want to come," said Elban.
"Oh, I want to come, and I'm not going to give you a choice in the matter!" she pulled out her staff and stood up, "you'll need my powers."
"How do you know?" asked Elban.
Slightly disgruntled, she started with a question, "where are you going?"
"The Mountains of Silpentine." stated Elban.
"Oh, yes, then you'll definitly need my help!" she said, nodding as if it had been decided.
"Looks like you've already got a 'lad'," chuckled the bartender. With a look from Elban, he stifled his chuckles and turned back to what he was doing.
"What makes you think you'll be able to help me?" asked Elban.
"Watch this," Crystal stuck one finger into her drink, almost instantly, the drink froze solid. Elban's eyes widened ever so slightly. She grinned.
"So, your some kind of witch?" he asked.
"Oh no, an angel," sighed Crystal, then she put a finger on his lips as he tried to speak.
"And for however long this takes," she whispered, "I'm going to be your Guardian Angel, so get used to the sight of me, got it?"
And with no more ceremony then that, she turned back to the bar and ordered another drink, since hers was now frozen.

OoC: I wanted to ask... Can I join? If I can, I will use Gary. Link is in the sig.

Ooc: YES!!! Ziran's been approved, link in sig.

Bic: Ziran drank a glass of ale. He had just returned from a failed hunt, and he needed to cool off. The windigo suddenly spat out his ale. It was horrible, and he could tell that it was stale by the way that it smelled.

Elben saw this, and asked Ziran what the matter was. "I just came from the mountains after an unsuccesful bounty hunt, I'm broke and this beer tastes like the horrible cloutches of mount Kazares it does." Elban was confused by the last part of Ziran's sentence, as well as his accent. "You could make some money by helping me with something." he said.

Ziran suddenly reverted to his usual cheery mood, and with a big smile said "Aye, sounds good to me!! When are we to be going on this here thingamabound?"

OoC: Ok, Great! Yes the two others ( Krael and Gary may join!) Thank you all for joining!

BiC: Elban smiled, so far he had recieved an Angel whos powers seemed rather reassuring, and your run of the mill country man. ' A long distance man, indeed!' thought a cheery Elban. Now all he needed was two more. He turned to Crystal and Ziran, they looked anxious and ready, but there was more to be done before they departed. " I will need you all to take an oath, not for me, but for the success of this journey. For many have set out upon and never returned."

OoC: no offence, but you need to write about this oath, we can't take it if only you know what it is/what happens. But hey!

BiC: Crystal and Ziran nodded once. They were ready.

OoC: How do you honestly expect me to write more? (I'll delete this post later, just felt like pointing something out)

OoC: Man, I came in too late . I wanted to use Pyrolis (I just relised that he is like the only character I ever use, oh well). Well, anyway, if you guys decide you need another man then I'd be more then happy to tag along.

OoC:Omandy, like I said above, ( On the first post here ) Dont be discouraged, we may request your help later on. If we must do so, Ill PM ya! Oh, and Big Torkoal, good point LOL! yeah that would prolly help!

BiC: " Very well." Elban nodded to his companions. " If you do not wish to be held by this oath, the door, as you are all well aware, is located..." He pointed. " Over yonder. However, I promise you all rewards should you come with me. But enough chit chat. Repeat after me."
" We, the companions of his kingdoms most distinguished Knight, promise on our honor to behold and provide loyalty, to Elban, Knight of the King, until we have met fates hand or until he has released us from service. We shall follow under his guidance and should Elban himself die in the course of the journey, we shall carry on and avenge his death or the death of any of us, until the accused has been brought to justice, or until we ourselves have died trying."
When this had been done, Elban gave a smile of satisfaction and looked about himself. His companions were silent and they had solemn looks upon their faces. Elban was just about to say something, when Zirian piped up:
" What would you have us do, Knight of the king?"
Elban leaped from his bar stool, forgetting what he was about to say, and with a wide smile and a confident point of the finger he cried:
" To the door!"

Ziran charged towards the door. He was a little dizzy from what little of his stale drink got through to his throat, and fell at the doorway. As he fell, he tried to grab something to keep from falling. His outstretched fingers caught on the wings of an angel that was entering the bar. Ziran's grip wasn't good enough however, and he fell the rest of the way.

As Ziran was lying on his face, a group of bar veterans started wobbling to the exit. Seeing Ziran run, they had thought that the bar was being seized by royal guards for illegal activity, something of a regular occurence at bars in this town. The bar veterans stumbled on Ziran, many of them falling. Soon there was a dogpile in the doorway, with the angel Gary standing on the other side.

Gary was confused by the strange creature that had first fallen. He had never seen someone who had such a tiny horn on their forehead, and horns on non-beasts were an occurence that was rare enough. Just when the moment couldn't get any stranger, Ziran started snoring...

OoC: Awesome! But, lol, I had 126 emails.

BiC: Gary stepped over the drunks. As he stepped in, he saw there were only four people left. One was laying on the ground, snoring. There was a knight, one with a short horn, who was apparently asleep, and a woman. "Hello." Gary said, his voice echoing like usual. Everyone turned to look, except Ziran, who was still sleeping away. The knight looked happy. "You must be Gary! I'm Elban. This is Crystal," he said, motioning towards the woman, who waved. "And this is Ziran." he said, pointing to the person with the horn.

"Well, what are we doing here?" asked Gary, looking at Elban. "Well, I came here to tell people about the quest, but I sent a messenger out to you." Gary nodded, as he remembered the messenger.

Gary walked on the vast field of Hyrule. It was a nice day, and Gary was eager to get to the bustling market. But he saw a figure in the distance, riding up to him on a horse. As the figure drew closer, he saw a message in his hand. The figure soon stopped next to him. "Hello, you must be Gary. I have a message from the knight, Elban." said the messenger. Gary nodded and took it, and started reading it as the figure rod off.

"Hello, if you are reading this, you must be Gary. I am Elban. I sent you this letter to ask you something. I am recruiting members for a quest. If you wish to join in, come to the pub in the market of Hyrule at the 19th of June.

OoC: Krael hasn't joined yet, Reih S'emit.. ill write when Krael joins now, so edit your post also, i need a link to the Knight's thread...Knight.

BiC: Krael walked in and, immediately, he tripped on Ziran. Falling face first on the ground, his hood fell off of his cloaked face. Everyone staring at the tripped elf, he immediately stood up and cloaked himself once more.
"Are you ok, sir?" asked Gary, confused by his strange behavior.
In a deep voice, Krael responded.
"I'm fine."
And then Elban saw it. The sword, Dragonbreath.
"You be a swordsman? If you are, I will pay you handsomely to come adventuring with me and my friends 'ere," said Elban.
"Where are...you going?" replied Krael.
Elban smirked.
"The mountains of Silpentine!"
Krael turned around and took his hood off. Everyone gasped at his appearance. A sea elf with gold hair.
"I'm in."
"I know you! You're...You're Krael Bloodstorm, aren't you! If the rumors are true, you have a good reputation around here!"
Krael smirked and nodded a 'let's get going' to Elban.

Ziran continued snoring. He was starting to drool, and what little bar veterans remained weren't too happy about the sleeping person in the doorway. Krael stooped down, and looked at Ziran. He was trying to decipher if Ziran were asleep, or was just faking it. After all, having several people trip on you usually wakes someone up.

Krael looked at Ziran, but jumped up suddenly. Ziran had uttered a loud snort in his sleep, and had surprised Krael. Krael sat down at the counter. "Are you sure your bringing that guy?" he asked Elban. Elban shrugged. "Lets just go, he'll probably catch up anyways."

As the group walked towards the general store to make sure they had enough supplies, they were shocked to see that not only had Ziran caught up to them, but he had fallen asleep leaning against a tree that was several feet in front of them. This time however, Ziran woke up.

"Oi! What took you so long guys? I've been sitting here under this here tree and I got to thinking that I could use a nap. After all, I used a lot of energy at the bar." The others stared at Ziran blankly. Finally, Elban spoke. "Ok....anyone need any specific supplies other than food and water?"

OoC: Off to college shortly, so I'll be off in a minute.

BiC: Crystal thought hard about the question. "I suppose I could use some food supplies..."
Everyone looked at her, "anything more... specific?" asked Elban.
"I'll take an apple with me," she said.
"That's it?" asked Ziran.
"Trust me, I don't need food on a mountain," said Crystal.
"Ok... anyone else?" asked Elban loudly.

OoC: LOL! That was a weird way to leave the bar...not exactly heroic, but it works.

BiC: After zirans laugh worthy antics, and after they had gotten their supplies ( Which they all payed dearly leaving their wallets less hefty in the end ) They set up camp about 2 miles outside of town. They had brought a few casks of wine and as they sat around th fire, Elban sang a song that almost put everyone to sleep. " It is a song my wife sings to me often back at home." he said.

Last night as I lay dreaming, of pleasant days gone by,
my mind then went on ramblin to Silpentine I did fly!
I stepped on board a vision, and I followed with the wind!
Till next I came to anchor at the cross on Mount Secil!

There was more to the song, but he fell asleep before he could finish it.

OoC: Im not gonna be on this weekend, so dont write anything that develops the plot to quickly with out me.

OoC: ok my turn oh and Krael doesn't sleep, just so you know, so he stayed up all night.

BiC: Krael laughed shortly at the song, and looked back on the town, everybody sleeping. He saw Helios in street urchin form, running from a man with a butcher's knife, Helios carrying loafs of bread. Laughing, Krael froze the guy's hand to his butcher knife and made what looked like a hydra rise from the ground and chase him in his house with pyromancy. Krael laughed some more and nodded his welcome to Helios. He unhooded himself and just remembered - he had left his sword at the bar, when he tripped on Ziran. He leapt up and ran for the bar as fast as he could.

Crystal woke up first, and then she woke everyone else up with her morning song she dreamt up.
"How soothing, keep playing it, lassie!" Gary spoke.
"Ehh, cut it out, woman!" she stopped immediately, then laughed a bit.
"Uhh...Where the hell is Krael?!" asked Ziran.
"I dunno...wheres my MONEY!?! THAT RUDDY ELF!"
"Elban, you spent it on supplies, remember?"
"Oh, yeah. Hey, what's that?" Elban went over to a weird shaped rock and began poking at it, while Crystal and Ziran were arguing where Krael was. The rock began to move. Elban, even more curious than a mongoose now, started to pick it up when it morphed into a rock golem. Towering 5 feet above Elban, he armed himself.

Krael kicked the drunk fool in the stomach powerfully, sending him straight into a table. Apparently, he was in a barfight. The barmaid hiding under the counter, Krael twisted and tripped the last man's arm. He took his sword and hurried back to camp, where, like he was expecting, he saw a huge monster ready to destroy his comrades. He laughed and enchanted their weapons with fire. The first fight of the adventure.

Crystal screamed. Her staff was on fire!
"I'm an Ice Angel! Not a fire angel!" she shouted.
"Ok, sorry," laughed Krael, despelling Crystal's staff. She breathed a sigh of relief.
"RIght..." She spun her staff like a propellor and blasted the golem's legs with ice, causing it's right leg to freeze solid to the ground.
"RRRRAAAAARRRGH!" the monster swung at her with it's fist. Before it caught her, a wind blew and she vanished. It blew again and she appeared in the exact same place.
"I really need to practice that," she muttered. before she reaslied what had happened, the monster had back-handed her and sent her flying.
