The Silver Lining

Pine needles crunched underneath Elbans feet as he made his way to his cottage. The sky had been getting darker with each passing second even though morning had just arrived. And there were many ill stirrings in his heart, but he made excuses to comfort himself as to why such things were happening. Soon, he would be back home, in the arms of his wife with his son on his knee. Sipping tea with...
He froze where he stood. His eyes growing to the size of grapefruits as he beheld his front door. Broken and in terrible shape. The hinges ripped off and the door sheared in half. Elban hurried inside to discover no one was there. Things were strewn all over the floor, broken dishes and shattered glasses were randomly scattered through out the house.
" Mirian!" He called. But there was no reply, and slowly, so very slowly. Elban accepted that his family had been kidnapped. And he sat down upon his torn up chair and cried.

OoC: I'll go note this is my first battle so bear with me! I'll use Raid.

A note flew though the door landing infront of Elban. He picked it up it said "I have your family meet me in the middle of the forest or else-" Elban crushed it in anger and he set of quickly for the middle of the forest.

No one was there...wind blew behind Elban and he turned quickly to see Raid. "Hello pawn." The ninja said grinning under his mouthpeace.

" What have you done with my family?!" Screamed Elban in a mad rage. He drew his sword and it rang loudly. It shone like the northern most star of the sky. Elban also prepared his shield, which bore the cross of his fathers. The wind rustled the trees in the deep silence. One thought ran through Elbans mind:

" My foe has made a deadly mistake. And by my blade...he shall pay."

Raid grinned and dived into a tree flying downwards at Elban blades raised. Elban blocked Raid's arial attack use his swords as a block. Raid backflipped and ran forward quickly headbutting Elban. Elban got up and dived Raid kicking him over just befor Raid could move.

Raid tried kicking but Elban acted first sending a vertical slash right at Raid. CHING Raid's blade blocked as rolled and flipped up. They ran at eachother slashing there swords hit and they stayed like trying to get a slash through.

Raid flew back into a tree and slowy got up to see Elban charging. Raid ducked barley dodging vertical slashes galore and hopped into a tree. He sprang of a branch rolled and turned up quickly to slash at Elban. Elban backed up barley getting scarped.

Raid quickly ran at Elban there sword hit like mad. Raid bavkfliped and FAILED! he fell but kicked Elban over befor he could slash rolled backwards-then hopping up he ran at Elban slashing CLING there swords hit this time Elban got knocked bac and Raid kicked him. Elban quickly got up. Raid was just faintly panting.

OoC: Sorry about taking so long to reply

Elbans sword then hummed its serene music and with a sudden burst of blinding white light it shone like a star and white flames licked its sharp edges. Elban glimpsed for a second a look of utter facsination, wonder and respect, tempered with deep fear in Raids eyes. Elban, being a knight, gave Raid two choices at this point.
" Please, I am giving you a chance to live. You can either show me where my family has been stowed or I shall be forced to send you into the shadow realm of death. Please, I do not wish to kill, and I hope you will be wise. I will let you leave after you have given me back my family and I shall leave no mark upon your body. On my honor I shall not hurt thee if thou returns my fmaily unto me and leaves to never come back."

OoC: No prob it gave me alot of tim,e to think of this

Bic: "You want your family?" "Ha! Look night you can have your stupied ugaly family I just wanted to destroy you like evreyonelse! Beat me and you can have your pathetic family knight." Raid said grinning crazily under his hood.

"Then it let be ninja! Let it be!" Elban raising his sword high the sun shining of it. "With this blade thou shall perish!" Elban yelled and then ran there was a swoos and Raid was gone. "Come out nin-" Elban was cut short by a kick hard to the back.

Elban flew forward but quickly got up he then spun blocking Raid's hit with a his sheild. "Your quick ninja" Elban said kicking him over "But not quick enough!" Elban yelled and stabbed Raid..or so he thought..grass was stabbed.

"Pssst knight" He said Elban did a quock spinning strike hitting Raid. He flew to the ground his chin got hit but not hard he managed to dodge most of the force. He wiped a stain of blood away and zoomed forward slashing at Elban Elban acted quick hitting back.

They hit at eachother for what seemed like days finnaly Raid jumped up landed benind Elban hit behind him and kicked Elban's head for he had already to ran to the front. Raid had made him fly about half a foot and to the ground.

Elban slowy got up and spit blood as Raid luaghed like the maniac ninja he is. "I swore on my blade ninja..I swore to defeat." He quickly kicked dust in Raid's face and slashed at his leg. Raid was hit and his armor ripped minor pain was brought to the leg.

"You wanna fight using nature?" Raid grinned and hopped off. Elban got in a fgihting stance readey. He haerd slashes on trees. He looked around to see trees falling at him. Elban leaped back and kept leaping.

Trees kept falling he lept and no trees fell in front of him instead a tree fell for where he would leap he had no time to leap again

Elban despretley raised his sword and sheild as the tree hit Elbans blade had sliced right through. He grinned "Foolish attempt ninja."

OoC: Your character will wish he had never been born. And if youre reading this chosen sage: Hello! lol!

BiC: With a great light, Elbans sword blinded the ninja and began humming its ancient tune. White flames licked its edges as Elban, despite his wounds, leapt and brought his blade across the ninjas face. Blood spattered the edge of Elbans blade, the ninjas face burnt by the fire on the sword. The foe had finally been brought to his knees and Elban stood over him, panting.
" I swore that I would defeat you. Now, here I find you, bruised and more than a little battered. I will give you two choices. Tell me where my family is, and I will let you go alive and free. Refuse...and I will spare no mercy upon your soul. I beg of you...sir...dont be a fool."

Raid darted back....fire he has fire. Raid had a flash black fire evreywhere...killing death...no fire for Raid. Raid sighed and snapped his fingers. The ground shook and turned over reavealing Elbans family untied. They ran to Elban and they slowy walked away.

Quickly Raid ran foward impaleing Elban's back his swords went thtrough the armor in the back but not very deep. Blood dripped and elban's shot fire at Raid and gasped in pain. Raid lept over it high threw a rope which tied the family and with all his might threw his swords.

They hit Elban's arms pinning him to ground luckily therews about an inch bewtween the armor and the skin and the swords hit that inch. Raid landed and quickly not thinking about death or life he stabed the son.

The son cried in pain and blood dripped down itr was not a bad bad wound but bad enough. Elban's armor ripped of the blades. Spurst of flames flew evreywhere Raid went. His sword crackled wildley fires flying evreywhere. Raid got hit and dropped to the ground....

Elban untied his family and tended to his son's wounds. Raid was in deeeep pain. Not pyshicaly pain though mental pain he had rolled of the fire but memerios of fire flew in his mind Raid could not think straight he could not move. Elban walked took his sword and pointed it at Raids head ignoring his wwounds. Raid was almost shot by fire when acted quickly and kicked the sword into a tree both Elban and Raiod are weaponless but Raids are not far from reach..

OoC: Holy...Golly gee guy! You are violent!

BiC: Elban did the only thing he could think of that would keep the fiend from getting that sword. Elban leaped and tackled the bandit, knocking the very wind from him. Raid punched once, then twice but Elban would not let go. When Elban had finally gotten hold of Raids arms, he rolled Raid over and put one boot on his back and one boot on his head. Then, reluctantly and with a butterfly in his stomach, Elban was forced to commit the wrong he had always tried to avoid. He lifted his boot and with a sickening mush-cracking sound, he stoved the back of raids head in and then brought the other boot down over his back, not only for paralysis, but to make sure he would never rise again.

The next day, Elban went to the place where he had fought Raid and with a shovel buried his body next to the river on the eastern side of the hill. There, he placed flowers and a epitaph for the ninja which read:

"Here Lies A Brave, Valiant man, Who Fought For The Wrong Things"

OoC: Since you can't kill my guy without permission i'll end the battle with my last post. 100th post woo!

Elban left with his family. All was peaceful and quiet..intill the ground shook...Raid's hand brooke freee from the ground he kicked out dirt evreywhere. Raid was muddy in pain and hurt by his pride. He made sure he had his weapons. He re-wrote on the sign: "Here lies pride from a valient ninja."

He walked of wondering if he'd ever see Elban again..and if he did he'd thank him..then kill him..

As the sun set all was quiet Raid resumed training for his next battle and Elban lived his life normal...
