Battle through Twilight (3 vs 3)

OoC: Hello. You may be wondering what that title means. Well, in this battle, we first battle normally, then all of a sudden, there is a strange blackness coming towards us. It then engulfs us all. When we wake up, we are in the Twilight. But we're animals. That's how we have to fight. And there will be monsters coming every now and then to attack us. There will also be cliffs, and floating platforms, and that castle shown in the trailer. We can run off, too, and hide for a few days, but we'll still be stuck in the Twilight. At the end, we go back to the normal world. But we're not in the same place. I hope to make a second battle that takes place in a different place, or maybe still the Twilight. I'll be using Angel, link in sig.

BiC: Angel lay on the soft, lush grass. It had been a long day of much work and traveling, and he was tired. The crickets had started to chirp. Angel listened to their song, smiling. All of a sudden, he fell asleep. That night, he had a dream. It was a dream of five other beings. Angel was on a one side with two of them. There were three infront of him. Angel drew his sword. They fought for a short while. Then, a strange darkness approached, and engulfed them...

Angel quickly sat up. He was sweating. But now it was morning, and time for breakfast. Angel quickly pulled some biscuits out of a pouch on his side. He stuffed them in his mouth and chewed happily. All of a sudden, he heard someone approaching...

OoC: Hum... sounds interesting enough, although I'm not sure how well it's going to play out... What the heck! I'll join. I'll use Pyrolis since my other character is already an animal... sort of. Read Pyro's bio in my sig (Warning: It is VERY long, but worth it if you want to understand exactly what it is that drives him).

BiC: Angel jumped to his feet, readying his sword as a ruged looking young man came stumbaling out from the woods. He was heading head long towards him with an anoyed grimice on his face. Angel prepaired himself for the attack, but instead of a confrintation the stranger ran right past Angel and dashed up a large tree, disapearing into the branches, leaving the knight to stand alone in his own silent confusion.

"Ah... Hello?" Angel stepped closer to the tree with his sword slightly raised.

"Get lost kid." The hiden man grunted. "Unless you want to get tangled in a bloody frey."

Angel could hear another set of footsteps quickly aproaching.

"Someone's coming."

"Yeah, duh! Why else would I be in this tree? Go hide or get lost, you're going to give away my position."

Angle ducked behind the tree, sword steady by his side. He looked back up, now just barely able to make out the man's form umong the leafs.

"Are you being chased?"

"Yep." His voice was rather anoyed.

"Why?"

"Beats me. The fool's probably chasing idiotic fanticies of immortality. Now shut your trap before I have to climb down and shut it for you!" Angel did as he was told, wondering why he hadn't already run away, this wasn't his battle. Just then he heard the sound of someone breaking out from the bushes, panting heavily.

"Where are you! Show yourself, fire demon! Fight me face to face!" The prosuer shouted.

"As you wish." And with that the man droped from the tree in a blaze of fire and landed on his enemies upturned face.

Ooc: See Ford and Mia in my sig. Hope you don't mind, I consider them one character since they work together.

Bic:

"Dude, there's a foot on my face, get it off!" Ford yelled as Pyrolis jumped off of Ford's head.

"Aw, did I hurt you?" Pyrolis asked as if Ford was a small child. "Want me to make the boo boo go away?"

Ford stood to his feet, wiping the foot mark from his face. "Shut up you neice of a cucco!" Ford blindly swore at the laughing Pyrolis. "You have a price on your head that my partner and I are eager to claim."

As if on que, a black horse trodded up next to Ford and its rider dropped to the ground. "Ok Ford, lets do this."

Ford smiled and raised his weapon. "Lets dance." He smirked as he dove into combat with the immortal.

Mia was slightly puzzled because she knew they weren't planning on dancing or anything, but she heard stuff like that all the time and tends to ignore strange comments like those. Unsheathing her knive, she jumped into the battle as well.

At this moment, Angel emerged from his hiding place and looked around, trying to figure out which side was good and which was bad.

OoC: I'm in, and Elrick's in the house. My characters rock so hard.

BiC:

Elrick, as always was wandering. He wasn't the most social guy in the world, mainly because people tried to kill him left and right. So he kept to himself, and all was well usually.

He had stopped for the night and decided to sleep in the grass, it was more cofortable now to him than any bed, and had been rudly awakened. How many times to people need to keep this up? he thought, going to see what the noise was about.

He arrived at the noise's origin speedily, and was amazed to find Pyrolis battling against two children. "Pyrolis, what are you doing here?" he shouted, running down to speak with him.

Pyrolis was suprised to see the blood master once more, but it did not distract him from the matters at hand, namely the children that were trying to slice him to mincemeat.

"I don't need help Elrick," he muttered, dodging the two again.

"Maybe not, but these infants are resiliant," Elrick muttered, "they'll wear you down."

He spread out his hands, shouting, "Blood Control!" All the warriors ceased their movement, and Elrick calmly walked over to them.

"Being, come out," he said to Angel, wondering what that blood was he sensed. He saw with suprise that another girl came out, about two years younger than he was. "State your names."

"What's it to you, robe-freak?" shouted Ford, seemingly oblivious to the fact that Elrick was holding both them and Pyrolis in midair.

"I like to know the names of those who disturb my nap, before I crush them," Elrick answered, lifting Angel up to join them. Making sure they were secure, he then walked to the boy.

"Boy, do you know what I am?" he asked Ford, slightly iritated at his lack of respect. "I can crush you and your girlfriend right now."

"Watch what you say," the boy answered hot-headedly, glancing at Mia to see her reaction. "You're Elrick, one of the bounties I've had an eye on for a while. I'm Ford Smith, you know who Iam?"

"No, can't say that I do," he answered drily, moving from the annoying child to Pyrolis. "Pyrolis, what are you doing battling these infants?"

"They started it Elrick, and I told you I didn't need you to help."

"Interesting, but I'm a little disapointed that you hadn't eliminated them by now," Elrick said with mild interest. He turned to the two women, whom he had saved for his final interigations. "And who might you nice ladies be?" he asked politely. A jerk he had been to the men, but he did have some mannars, even for a hunted person.

"Angel," said the brown-eyed one.

"Mia," answered the second with the green eyes.

"And how is it you find yourselves in the company of these savages?" Elrick asked, perfectly aware that he had distrupted their fight, and knowing that Ford and Pyrolis were getting impatint, even if they couldn't move without his consent.

"None of your business," they answered simultainously, not aware why he cared, but both resolved that the blood master didn't need to know.

"Mia, Angel, you can do much better than these ignorant people like Ford." This was rebuttled by a muffled shout from Ford, but Elrick paid him little attention.

"Well, we find ourselves in a dilema," he said, shaking his head. "Should I let the children go to kill an immortal, or should I just leave you hanging there?"

OoC: Man, my characters are awesome.

OoC: I shall join with Dan The Half Demon with link in sig.

BiC: Dan was having the most odd day looking around for food. He found lots but ate it all in five seconds. That is probably what happens when you don't eat for days. Dan now full was ready for a good scrap. With sword in hand, Dan started off running. As he ran he noticed four figures in the air. Wondering about the odd site he crept silently over. As he figured someone was forcing them to be there. Dan tried to creep away silently but stepped on a stick. As he tried to sprint off he was frozen and joined the others in the air. Dan wasn't too happy and started to lose his sanity...

OoC: Now only a few more people, and to know whos on the good side or the bad side.

BiC: Angel struggled. "Let... me... go!" he yelled at Elrick. Elrick just laughed. Angel, now knowing that he wouldn't get down for a little while, calmed down. By calming down he noticed a person with white, untamed hair, who was also floating. He turned his eyes back to Elrick and waited for a minute while he talked to Pyrolis... two minutes... the minutes... four minutes... five minutes... 'Why are they taking so long?' Angel asked himself.

Finally Elrick let them go. "Run if you want. But you can't run for long... It's coming." Elrick said. "What do you mean by that?" asked Ford. "You people don't know what it is? Wow." Elrick said to Ford. "It is a corrupted Force... one that is taking over the world..." Angel stepped back. "Tell us, what is it?" Ford asked. Elrick looked at him, and said, "The Twilight." Ford looked at him for a moment and then burst out laughing. "The Twilight? That's the time of day before morning! It can't harm anyone!" Ford said, now smiling.

Angel walked up to him. "This isn't the Twilight of the morning... I've heard of it, but I thought it wasn't true..."

OoC: That good? Now I'm gonna go reply on your battle, OK Quark?

Ooc: Darges is joining. Link in sig, he's on the bad side.

Bic: Darges was pretty angry about his failure to kill his brother Harges. After the containment orb that Harges had created dissipated, Darges had been dropped in a forest. He spent his time possessing multiple animals until he came across Elrik. Elrik was sleeping, but awoke suddenly and ran off.

Darges merely shrugged it off. He would deal with Elrik some other time, right now he needed a body to rest in. He possessed a tree. Darges almost fell over when he realised that the tree had been a sleeping ent. He laughed and went to join in the battle that Elrik had run off to.

Once he reached there, he was surprised to see two more familiar faces. Both Pyrolis and Angel were there along with Elrik. They hadn't noticed him yet, neither had the other people there.

OoC: Yay, Darges is in da house. What is he gonna possess in the Twilight?

BiC: "Then what does this 'Twilight' do?" Ford asked him. "I've heard... it corrupts one's soul... and turns them into... creatures." Angel told him. All of a sudden, he heard a creak from the woods behind him. He turned quickly and pulled out his sword. There were a couple more creaks, and a giant walking tree slowly walked into the clearing. "Hello again, Angel and Pyrolis." said the ent. "... Darges!" Angel ran at the possessed ent, sword out. He was knocked back by it's giant arm.

"What do you want?" Angel asked him. "Nothing, really. Just wondering what all the commotion was." said Darges.

OoC: Writers block.

"What is with all the strange people who randomly appear and seem to know everyone but Mia nad I!?" Ford shouted aloud. "This is just getting strange."

Mia chuckled and looked at all the diferent faces. "Ha, all of you are wanted people, accept for Angel." Mia smiled. "Boy will Ford and I reel in the cash."

The tree practly fell to the floor with laughter. When he recovered he smiled and began laughing again. Elrick responded in a way Darges would have said if he wasn't so busy laughing. "You two are mere children, you have no power to take us all on."

"There's only five of you." Ford smirked sounding like he knew what he was saying.

Darges who had stoped laughing started laughing again.

Pyrolis rolled his eyes and began juggling some fire balls, then he had an evil thought and threw a fire ball at Ford. "Think fast!" He yelled, hoping Ford would dodge it.

Ford turned his head and smiled, greeting the fireball with open arms. The fireball engoulphed him creating a large explosion that would melt the toughest armor. The dust settled and the smiling Ford simply stood there, smiling. "Thanks, it was getting chilly."

Darges decided to teach these children a lesson. He exited the ent, leaving a tiny bit of himself so that the ent was still under his control. He flew straight into Ford and possessed him. "I'm a dorky little child..duhawwww." he said, while controlling Ford. This time it was Pyrolis' turn to laugh, he had to lean on the ent to keep from falling over.

Darges left Ford, and flew back into the ent. "Why thank you for that confesion dear child." he said in a mocking tone. Ford was now seething with anger. "I'll collect the bounty on your head!" he shouted. Darges laughed again. "You can't kill something that you can't even touch."

OoC: I think Angel's gonna turn into a pheonix in the Twilight... or a Hawk/Eagle with a very sharp beak... heh heh.

BiC: "Darges, stop cowwering in that ent. I want to kill you once and for all!" Angel yelled. Darges laughed and exited. "You can't kill me, kid. Remember?" said Darges. Angel glared at the air where the voice was coming from. "Go possess something, Darges. I'm ready to kill it. After all, you will be inside of it. So I have no reason not to kill it." Angel told him. Darges smiled, even though they could not see him, and flew off to find something else.

"Alright, who's gonna team up with him? And who wants to team up with me?" Angel asked. "But what about the Twilight?" Mia asked. "I forgot... Well, I'm going to stay back and fight. Who's with me?"

Ford's head was hot enough to fry an egg, he hated to be humiliated. "Well I'm definatly not on Harges' side that's for sure. Seriously, does he have ANY allys? It will be his downfall, I am sure of it."

Mia was a bit confused, she wasn't sure why Ford just called himself a dorky child. "Um Ford? Why did you--"

"Don't worry Mia, I'm not going mental. That Darges guy somehow possesed me. The retard."

Angel spoke up before they got too far off topic. "So who's staying and who's running?"

Pyrolis smiled, maybe this twilight will finally be his demise.

Ford shook his head, but looked at Mia for her response before he said anything.

"I think we should try and outrun it, I don't think it can be killed so there's no point in staying." Mia said, replying to Angel's question.

"I'm going with Mia." Ford agreed. "Anyone else?"

OoC: I think it would be kinda cool if at first Angel stayed back and got affected by the Twilight, and then the Twilight gets faster and faster, and engulfs everyone else...

BiC: Angel looked at everyone, then at where Darges had gone. Back and forth he looked, but finally he made his decision. "I'll go with you, as long as I get to fight Darges." said Angel. "Good. Let's go before the Twilight catched up with us." said Mia, and started walking forwards, with Ford following.

'I hope the Twilight doesn't catch up before I get to fight Darges,' thought Angel. He continued on with the others. Pyrolis followed, and so did Elrick. "I don't think the Twilight kills people. There was a story of a hero from long ago, who went through and saved the world... but he turned into a creature..." said Angel.

Mia whistled a loud ear piercing whistle.

Pyrolis covered his ears, "What was that for?" He grunted.

"I'm calling for Nellie." She replied as if they knew wo Nellie was.

"Who?" Angel asked.

"Nellie, my horse. We will be able to move alot faster on horseback."

"I'll try calling my horse, Gary." Ford put his hand to his mouth and made several embarising attempts to try and whistle for his horse, but only got a farting noise.(From his mouth, not his....)

Mia laughed and showed Ford what he was doing wrong, then he was successful. Before long, two horses were seen in the distance coming their direction.

"Well that's nice, you get horses why we walk." Complained Elrcik.

Dan, who haddn't said much thus far, said nothing as he walked silently beside everyone.

"Well, maybe we could partner up on horses?" Mia suggested.

"Gary has a strong back, he could probubly carry Angel and Pyrolis." Gary suggested. "I don't know what to do about silent Demon here. Can you run fast Dan?"

Dan nodded and walked on, noticing a cloud in the shape of a messy room.

"I guess Ford and I will ride on Nellie." Mia suggested as they walked on.

"First you try to kill me... now you want me to ride your horse?" Pyrolis raised an eyebrow at Ford suspiciously. Ford glared at Pyro as he cumbursmly mounted Nellie.

"This isn't over, Fire Weilder, I still want your head."

Pyrolis shrugged and mounted Gary in one fluid movement, "Works for me." he reached down for Angel and yanked the young man up and onto the horse. Then without another word to the others he took up the reins and with an insane laugh he spured the horse onward and dashed though the woods at a full gallop.

"Gary!" Fords voice squeeked with a new found concern for his horse.

Mia whispered a word to Nellie and the horse took off after Pyrolis and Angel. Dan began to run along side the horse and Darges was content to posses a fly that was resting on Nellie's rump.

"If he hurts my horse then I'm going to kill him!" Ford shouted.
"Weren't you already plaining to kill him anyway?" Mia questioned.
"Well... ah..."

OoC: I think I'll make Pyro into a fox, unless you guys have any better ideas. Will he still be able to weild fire when he's an animal?

OoC: I think Elrick would be a hawk, but I don't think we keep all our powers in the Twilight.

BiC:

"Cease," Elrick muttered, freezing both the children, atop their horses.

"Let us go magician," Ford groaned, struggling for movement.

"Magician?" Elrick asked. "I am far more powerful than any magician on this earth, boy." He looked up at him, suddenly deppressed. "Do you honestly think I wanted these powers in the first place?"

"Why not? Make my job easier," Mia muttered.

"You would prefer these powers, and all the hunting that comes with them, to death and heartbreak?"

"What is that supposed to mean?" the boy answered, seeing that the blood master's grip was weakening.

"Nothing, it's my responsibility, and no one should know what I've been through."

He turned to the others, saying, "It is my responsibility to protect these little ones, regardless of their insults and injuries to me."

"Why Elrick?" Darges asked, annoyed that the blood master was standing in his way.

"They remind me of me a little, but none of us can outrun the Twilight now."

"It's coming."

OoC: The Twilight is coming! The Twilight is coming!

BiC: Angel looked at Elrick. "Now? It's coming right now? We have to hurry!" Elrick frowned. "There is no way to outrun it. We have to stay, and hopefully we'll be able to get out. Darges buzzed by Angel's ear. "Yeah, kid." He said in a quiet voice.

OoC: I have to go.

Ooc: It's Darges, not Harges.

Bic: Darges listened with an evil grin that would have spread across the fly's face if the fly had a mouth. "This twilight sounds interesting, people change, but I'll remain the same due to the fact that I have no true form." He said out loud. The horse whinnied in fear at the evil voice that had come from seemingly nowhere.

Darges exited the fly, and flew to some trees at the end of the clearing. He possessed many of them, but didn't show any signs of being anywhere but the fly. As the horses were about to pass through, the trees bent their branches down. The horses were stopped dead in their tracks as a dark cloud started to settle over the clearing.

One of the trees motioned to Pyrolis. "You can go, I have no reason to kill you." Ford and Mia both shouted at Darges in unison. "You have no reason to hurt any of us!" The trees shivered with laughter. "Isn't the two of you trying to kill me enough of a reason? As for that half demon there, he can go as well. Elrik and I have a little dispute that wasn't anywhere near settled when we last met, and I have that exact same problem with Angel."

Dan looked in awe at the trees. He didn't know how the strange spirit had known he was a half demon, but didn't care either. Before anybody could move however, the dark cloud settled on them and changed the world around them. There was a sudden flash that made everyone close their eyes for fear of burning them.

When they could see again, they were in the same clearing. Everything was exactly as it had been before, except for one major difference. Everything was in black and white, and the clearing showed no signs of life, save for the warriors. Darges laughed as he saw the changes to the others.

OoC: My bad.

BiC:

Elrick fell to his knees, shouting in agony. Nearby, all the others were doing the same. Everyone was morphing into animals.

Except Darges, who was laughing it up while the others were mutated into creatures, animals they were inside their hearts. Elrick's mouth pressed forward into a beak, his arms became wings, and the Bloodsword on his back fused together with his feet to form the deadly talons of a red-tailed hawk.

Elrick screeched in horror, while the others transformed along with him.

OoC: Boo Yah, hawk is taken.

Pyrolis crumbaled to the ground, a scream peeled from the bottom of his being as a strange energy coursed through his veins. He had not felt like this in over three-thousand years, since that day that he touched The Flame and became what he was today. Only this wasn't quite as intense as that.

He looked down at his hands and saw that they were changing into red paws. He felt himself shrinking in size, he turned his head and saw that he now had a bushy red tail. His face begain to extend forward into a long, slender muzel. In panic, he burst into flame as a line of defense against whatever it was that was doing this to him, but the fire seemed to resead back into his being, smothering itself in his new coat of fur. And then with a scream that turned to a yelp his transformation was complete. He was now a Red Fox.

On edge and paniced, Pyro looked around at the others who were also animals now. he couldn't think very clearly at that moment, his mind was in a jumble and his ever present insanity began to arise once again. Acting on instinct he attacked the first living thing in reach.
