Shadow In The Mountain ( Anyone )

Elban sat upon a rock, gazing at the stars. The sea breathed and exhaled as its waves rushed up upon the shore. It was getting late, and Elban began to wonder who had given him the anonymous note. It seemed as though the person was desperate. However, who ever it was, was late for the meeting and it was begining to worry him. This would be the first time someone would not show up. People who asked for Elbans services tended to be late in the first place, but never totally absent. Elben then pulled the note out of his breast pocket and read it over again.

" Dear White K.,
I am afraid your part in this tale has come to late. However, I am in dire need of your help. My son, my only son, crossed into the forest after having a fight with me about not doing foolish things. And... well...he has run off to the forest to do something very foolish. He intends to attempt a journey to the mountains that skirt the far eastern borders of the forest. He seeks something beyond his experience and he knows not of his peril. He left yester evening. Last I knew, he had taken my own sword with no other armor except the shirt on his back. There are thieves and lowlifes and creatures that dwell there and he is determined to get past them all. You, as I have heard, are an expert in tracking and the likes. Please, meet me by the beaches of Monolin when the sun has set below the horizon, two days after you recieve this. Please hurry, and take heed of my plight.

- His father P.S. - You are not the only one I have contacted.

Elban paused for a moment, not remembering that bit in the letter about ..." Not the only person contacted." He had always made a point when reading letters such as these, of reaading them fully, however, this little P.S. slipped his eyes. As he pondered what the following meant. He heard a voice behind him.

"Umm.... Hi."
Elban turned to find a rather strange sight behind him. Before him stood a fellow clothed in a long brown cloak which covered his entire body. It was green about his shoulders. The fellow himself looked to be but a teenager. His hair was shaggy and golden, and his ears long and pointed. His face was dominated by a confused stare.
" Are you the other person contacted? Or did I forget to pay at the Inn again?"
Elban laughed. Whoever he was, this fellow seemed harmless.
" I am the other. My name is Elban, the Knight of Justice. And you are...?"
" Call me Alaik," he said. " I'm the Hero of Ahpla. Or so they tell me."
Both stared at each other, wondering what to say next. For what seemed like awkward minutes, silence penetrated their skulls.
Then Alaik broke the silence. " So, can we get to work? I'm sure the kid isn't getting any happier out there."

Just for future reference, Knight, don't start a fight until your character has been approved. You may go ahead with this fight, since I've just officially approved your character. Just try to keep this in mind in the future.
