Invasion of the Stronghold(anyone)

OoC: Rein and Varimathras teamed up to defend the Underdark Stronghold. Since Rein and Varimathras are teaming up, we need two opponents that can team up as well.

OoC: Anyone who isnt insanely strong will do.

BiC: Varimathras sat on his throne next to Rein, the land had been much easier to control with both of them working together. Each of them, had gotten what they had wanted, Varimathras was able to get a worthy opponent, and Rein got his stronghold.

"What do we do now, I mean... I might as well follow whatever plans that you are making" said Varimathras.

"Why yes, I could use your strength very well, for you see. I can fell a hostile presence approaching" said Rein calmly.

"Two wanderers seem to have stumbled upon the underdark, whatever their intentions, they must be dealt with" said Rein.

"Of course, we cannot allow our position to be given away, let us go deal with them now" said Varimathras.

They got up from the chamber and walked out throught the maze of tunnels that seemed to go endlessly in all directions. When light finally came into their sight, all that could be seen were two figures in the distance...

OoC: Varimathras is not Rein's slave, for more info: read rein's or varimathras' character fics (varimathras will be started shortly)

OOC: Hi underling!

Dang Man-Ci and Reshnek should do just fine then. Unless you object. But before I post, can I get a link to Rein?

Ooc: Hey, could you just use Dang or Reshnek on this one? I'm joining with Gorin.
Bic: Gorin walked through the dark and dreary valley that lead to the underdark stronghold. Seeing as his soldiers were doing pretty well in taking over the foreign continent with Jamenda temporarily leading them, Gorin had decided to take over the famed "Underdark Stronghold"

Gorin found himself standing in front of a collosal building. It looked as if it could survive an attack by several golems. Gorin sniffed. He smelled something nearby, something familiar. He turned his head and saw that one of the warriors that had been on the front lines of the foreign continent's army of mercenaries and paladins in the first battle had followed him here.

Gorin was about to attack when he noticed two figures leaving the tower. The two people were obviousely hostile and were drawing their weapons. Gorin snickered, "These fools think they can beat me?"

Ooc: I don't care who you use COTahanger.

OoC: Ok we gots our two evildoers o_O and just for the battle lemme explain what the Underdark is Ok it's a gigantic half of the world, underground, and it can be considered a continent. It's ceiling is about a mile up, with huge stalactites protruding from them, and every nook and cranny you need. It is also vile and well known for it's evils by the 'overworld', and it would be impossible to, even for the strongest of BA chars, take over, you'd be devoured by hook horrors or boiled in the waters of the Sea Elves. I'll go inform Brother Onilink that the battle has begun. (Dvunrae - An Underdark Dark Elf)

BiC: Gazing across the valley, Varimathras's keen eyesight saw two sleeping bodies in the valley next to the entrance to the Underdark. Since their stronghold was right near the Underdark entrance, in the Dvunrae city of Nchuleftingth, they were more or less screwed if that's where the figures were headed. "I have an idea," said Varimathras, using terramancy to form a wall around the fortress of the Dvunrae and Demon. Varimathras drew his favored staff, enchanting it with ice, via criomancy. Rein said "We should spend the night outside the entrance to the Underdark tonight." Varimathras nodded in approval. Varimathras set some old traps, ones that included false grounds with stalagmites on the bottom, boulder launchers, and a couple of well-placed mines he pillaged from his old family's house.

The next day, the sleeping figures had not awaken. Varimathras told Rein not to attack them, for they were too far away and there could be other sentries around them, as to protect them whilst they slumber. Rein agreed, he knew the dark elf was smart, so he didn't need to know what he was talking about. He usually just agreed with the Dvunrae's actions. During the morning, Varimathras tried to make what looked like rock golems with his terramancy, and like rock golems they looked. He made the first one holding a spear, the other 2 held huge boulders. They weren't too prepared, but they did not care, as they could easily defeat these two wanderers..But what if there were more, hiding amongst the rocks of the valley, or archers amongst the trees...What if they had an army of men, waiting to attack...?

My com wont let me get a link for him, so just look on the 2nd or 3rd page of the character approval. Not the one that says the last one was a mistake, just plain rein.

I suppose Reshnek has been getting far too much action recently, so just Dang, because Mikey B has been following me around recently and joining every battle I join. (I'm not mad, but that's what it seems like )

As for evildoers, you wish. Despite us being the attackers, you guys seem in the wrong.

BIC: Dang Man-Ci awakened next to the strage creature he had met the past night. The half demon/angel was a quite interesting person, and it was he who had pleaded for Dang to help him take this stronghold.

*WARNING: FLASHBACK COMMENCING*

"Why do you need my help?" Dang had said. turning away.

"There's two very powerful beings in that keep! I want you to help me take them out." Gorin had told him

"Ah, but you fail to mention why." Dang had rebuked him, wondering why this being wanted HIS help.

"I know of your power! It can help me beat these warriors, it's a shadow demon and a dark elf!" Gorin had pleaded.

*END FLASHBACK*

Dang had finally given in and gone with him, call it lack of an alternative. He was here for the fight, not for anything else.

"Get your blasted ass up!" He yelled at Gorin. "You didn't drag me out here to sleep in!"

OoC: Thanks for the idea lol.

BiC: The sky was dark grey, and large clouds began to form, Varimathras could sense a large storm, and he knew that if the enemy had large numbers, he could use the storm to his advantage. Varimathras came up with a good plan quickly: if he and Rein could hold off the enemy with the elven defenders, the huge storm would come and only hit those outside of the tunnels.

"We must keep them at bay" said Varimathras to Rein. Rein took a quick glance at Varimathras' eyes, and then up at the sky; that is all it took for him to understand the plan.

Outside, Gorin lay in the grass, watching his men hide in the lush surrounding forests. Dang was laying with him, but Dang was looking up in the top of the citadel where Varimathras met his gaze. With one sporadic motion from Gorin, his armies arose from the forest and began the siege.

OoC: Not sure if they were Gorin's or Jamenda's because of in Mikey's post, it said Jamenda was currently leading them. If it is incorrect, I will change it. Let Mikey and his partner post next, then we will go Majora'sMask.

Ooc: They are Gorin's men, Jamenda's just Gorin's second in command. Jamenda is currently leading the majority of the army in an attack against a stronghold on another continent. No offense but you need to pay attention to my post that I made. In my post it said that this battle takes place AFTER the first battle of the oblivion war, so COTAhanger, Dang should already know who Gorin is.

Bic: Gorin hadn't brought a large amount of soldiers from the army. He had only brought twenty shades, three golems, and a reaver demon. The reaver demon was going to stay and be a decoy if they lost the fight. Reaver demons were incredibly powerful but they self destructed after only one attack. Gorin didn't want to waste this reaver demon's power so soon.

Gorin turned to Dang. "I don't know why your helping me, we nearly killed each other at that battle."
Dang looked over to Gorin. "I was helping the defensive army because I was being paid to." said Dang. Gorin looked ahead. He hadn't really wanted Dang's help considering that he was already powerful enough to take on both Varimathras and Reign, but he had wanted Dang to help just incase Varimathras and Reign had a few extra tricks behind their sleeves. Gorin had sent scouts here before, he had found out about a majority of the traps but a few scouts were caught themselves.

The traps were the reason he brought the shades. Shades were untouchable unless they were attacking, the shades would scour through the underdark and do one thing afterwards. After the shades had found any traps that Gorin didn't already know about, they would find him and tell him. The golems were there as destractions. Each golem could take out a couple hundred soldiers and their sheer size would attract most of the underdark's soldiers to fight them.

Gorin motioned to Dang. The soldiers of the underdark were trying to defend the underdark against the golems and were doing a poor job. Gorin couldn't help but smile as he saw a soldier flung several dozen feet into the air, only to land with a dull crack. Gorin and Dang charged in the direction of where Gorin's scouts had told them Varimathras and Reign would be waiting.

OOC: Didn't know you bothered with chronological technicalities, I usually don't. You should have said though, that this was after that battle considering all three of my characters where in it. All that aside, This should be interesting.

BIC: Walking carefully, Dang made his way across the field towards the stronghold with Gorin.

"Now the troops you brought here will help, but Varimathras and Rein will kill them all."

"Wait you know their names?" Gorin asked, suprised.

"I'm a bit more knowledgeable than you'd expect," was Dang's curt reply.

Seeking out mines like a metal detector, Dang blew them up before he reached them. "The ground has metal ore in it here, and the mines are made of it as well." He muttered, smirking. Looking at the storm, he decided that would be useful later as well.

OOC: for those unaware of Dang's powers and fighting style, browse the forums. I battle quite a lot and my style is similar throughout.

OoC: Mikey, its Rein, not reign lol. Just had to put that there

OoC: My turn already? Been playin Morrowind, sorry.

BiC: Varimathras had seen the sudden attack of the golems, alright. "LEVITATE, MY WARRIORS! CONFUSE THE GOLEMS!" Varimathras said, and the elven defenders rose into the air, the golems flipping out in rage, jumping to swat the puny flies down. Rein laughed at this. "Varimathras! Terramancy!" Varimathras nodded, shifting the ground underneath some of the golems, them falling into the depths of the Underdark cavern below them, which led to the golems being attacked by a group of hook horrors. Rein made sure none of the golems escaped, and he had fun doing it.

Rein sensed they had something in store, and he very well knew what it was. "Dark elf, they have a backup demon, but they seem to be holding it back!" "Right, we'll just have to wait, you can get the demon!" Varimathras screamed back. There was only one golem left, and it was huge. "NOW, YOUR DEATH HAS COME!" Varimathras screamed from atop a hill. "Elven defenders, fly back to the entrance of the Underdark!" Then, with infernal rage growing inside of him, he shot a huge-radius wave of ice that froze over most of the canyon, including the golem. "Take it from here, Rein!" "Gladly." Then, tapping into the demonic power inside him, Rein used his Inferno Shadow to melt the golem into the shadows of despair. "Let's get the ringleaders," Said Varimathras with a confident tone.

OOC: this is gonna be short, but very dramatic.

BIC: "OH NO YOU DON'T!!!!!!" Dang screamed after them. He raised both hands to the sky and the storm came sooner than expected. The levitating elves were hit by a lightning bolt perhaps a half-league across, killed instantly. The lightnig storm continued to rain from the sky, Dang's body, and evn out of nowhere as he unleashed all of his pent up power both in his body and the reserve jewels adorning his weapons and clothing. Pieces of the Underdark Stronghold crumbled and exploded as ionized bursts of plasma pelted everything in earnest. Then, as rapidly as it had come, the rage was over.

Dang Man-Ci, Gorin, Varimathras, and Rein seemed the only things not hit by the torrential attack, and the caster himself smirked in satisfaction, despite his slight weariness.

Gorin and Dang had reached the stronghold. They were just outside the entrance when Rein suddenly burst out the door. "I'll handle him." said Dang. Gorin nodded and flew up to the top of the tower. Varimathras was waiting for Gorin at the top of the tower. Gorin landed and smirked at Varimathras. "Seems neither your troops or mine survived." he said. Varimathras laughed, "Those weren't our only troops. We have more and we know that you have more."

Gorin smiled, "Now what made you think that?" he asked. Varimathras replied, "Just shut up so I can kill you." Gorin laughed, "A lowly elemental, kill a demon god? I think not." Varimathras said, "How are you a demon god?" Gorin replied, "I found out that the demon god Harges is my father, that means that I'm a demon god as well. How did you think I aquired an army of my own?"

Varimathras didn't reply but instead, made two chains appear out of the ground. He had used his binding spell. Gorin laughed, "You think that this petty little spell can hold me?" Gorin yanked his arms upward but to no avail. Varimathras simply stood and watched as Gorin tried again. Varimathras said, "Is that all the strength you have, demon?" Gorin surprised Varimathras by laughing. "Actually, this isn't even close." Gorin turned into his wrath demon form and destroyed the chains easily. Gorin reverted back to his normal form and smiled at the surprised expression of Varimathras' face.

Dang ran at Rein while shooting electricity from his hands, Rein knew that they would do good damage, so he took extra care to avoid them. He side-stepped until he noticed that Dang was getting pretty worn out from using all of his energy. Though he did not know Dang's strength, since he was just a human, Rein assumed that it would be a very easy battle. Rein teleported all over the place, tricking Dang, but it was just a little game and Dang knew it. After a couple shots, Rein got careless, and Dang noticed an obvious pattern in his movements. He waited for a second on his next shot, and he let is go to the area that Rein had been planning to go to.

Rein screamed as the electricity collided with his face. "You piece of ****, now you have angered me" Rein yelled. Dang couldn't help but laugh, "You are too careless demon, trust me, I have fought demons in the past and they all under estimate me."

Meanwhile, Gorin was pounding the hell out Varimathras, his quick movements seemed to be to quick for the dark elf to dodge. Gorin felt that he was winning by a huge margin, but Varimathras had the same plan that Rein had. After a while, Gorin began to pant, but he was smart enough to figure out what Varimathras was planning, so he began to tone it down a little, which was a bigger mistake because it gave Varimathras the chance to use terrimancy on the tunnel, which made the rock start punching gorin like big hands.

"Are all demons so foolish?" asked Varimathras with a bloody smile. "You wish!" yelled Gorin as he let a huge burst of power loose on the roock which easily crumbled it. Varimathras was even beginning to run out of ideas now, so he decided to fall back and call out more soldiers. Gorin noticed this and began to call out the ambushes hidden in the forest. Rein saw the ambush and decided that they would be funner than Dang, so he flew off to the surrounding forest.

Unfortunately for Gorin's army, the storm that Dang had brought early, was beginning to strengthen itself naturally, and the march was difficult. Rein flew with the wind behind him and landed in the middle of a dried up river.

"Come get me fools" he said. Gorin's army did not think that Rein could take them, so they charged. Rein smirked, when the army got close, he chanted a spell the made the river flow freely, and the frontline of Gorin's army was washed over a cliff. Now they had to cross over at the bridge that was a nice hike down, now Varimathras and Rein had time to think up a strategy.

BiC: "We could 2 versus 2 them, fight melee?" Then Rein came up with a somewhat easier plan. "Too risky..Let's corner one of them and go for the jugular..." "Great idea..I'll flush one of them out," said Varimathas. Using criomancy, Varimathras made "GORIN SUCKS FRIGID DICK" in huge letters up in the air. At this, Rein burst out laughing. "It's night, they should see the bait in the morning."

"AAARGH!!!!!!!!! THAT BASTARD DARK ELF, THE ONE WITH THE CRIOMANCY!!! 'Twin Swords' thought Gorin. DANG, STAY AT THE BASE, JUST INCASE THE SHADOW DEMON TRIES SOMETHING!" And off Gorin went.

YOU CANNOT WIN, FOOLISH DARK ELF! FOR YOU HAVE ENRAGED ME! "I'd better not use my Wrath Demon form, for it will hurt beyond pain..." thought Gorin. As twin swords met with flailing petrified oak, a secret assassin came through the bushes, raising his enchanted blade. "NOW REIN!" And Varimathras used his Brilliant Light move on Gorin, which blinded him and hurt like hundreds of nails piercing his skin. The assassin raised his sword, about to strike the blinded demon angel.

Gorin swore under his breath. Rein and Varimathras had double teamed him. Gorin laughed and stepped to the side to dodge Rein's attack. "But you can't see!" shouted Varimathras. Gorin laughed and held up his palm. His extra eyes had been open from the moment his regular eyes couldn't see.
Gorin laughed as his sight returned in his normal eyes. "My turn." he said.

Gorin turned his spirit orb into a naginata (double sided sword) and attacked. Gorin attacked fiercely as both Rein and Varimathras backed up side by side. Rein and Varimathras took turns blocking Gorin's attacks for a while until Gorin jumped back himself. Rein and Varimathras saw that Gorin had chased them to the edge of a lava pit. Gorin charged at them.

Rein and Varimathras jumped out of the way and watched as Gorin plundged into the lava. They stood side by side as black smoke arose from the lava. "Thats one down." said Rein. They both turned around and started to walk away when they heard an explosion of flame behind them. They turned around just in time to dodge the globs of lava that were flung at them. Gorin stood in the now empy pit and laughed. "I've fought tougher." he said.

I'd appreciate it if Dang wasn't treated like an insignificant detail and a weakling.

BIC:"I hope you haven't forgotten me!" Dang yelled. Charging forth with his weapons both drawn.

Swinging his pike at Rein, who had barely turned, he impacted and vaulted over the shadow demon, flipping his sword in the air for a somewhat signature move of his. He landed and thrust the now held dagger-wise sword backwards. Not to his suprise, but rather his delight, Rein appeared in front of him with a smirk, unharmed. Changing from his usual routine, Dang had kept his right hand free. Exerting a force, he used static electricity in the air and magnified it until Rein was a living magnet, and suspended in the air. Gesturing, he slammed Rein into the ground face first. Then up again and spiraling overhead and landing again with a sickening crunch. Lifting once more, his powers dwindling again, he threw Rein as high as he could muster. Who landed nearly ten seconds later with a thud.

OOC: Wow, too much to do at once. Will work on setting time for lengthier posts later.

OoC: Ok, ill take a turn, then Rob(onilink) then we'll vote, k? ill do a fight between Gorin and Varimathras

BiC: "Rein, i'll get the one with the eyes on his palm!" Rein grunted and nodded as he stood up, brushing some gravel off of him. Varimathras took out his staff and Gorin used a double-edged spear. "YOU CANNOT WIN!" Varimathras ran at Gorin and stopped right in front of him, and, smirking, he used his initial globe of darkness and made it pitch-black in their battle arena. "I have the advantage, for I can see in the dark!" spat Varimathras. Gorin threw elemental blasts everywhere he thought the drow was, but he failed. Varimathras did a swooping attack with his bo staff and Gorin fell face-first to the ground. Using terramancy, Varimathras propelled Gorin in the air, but this was a mistake. Gorin thought up a bow and arrow, lit it with faerie fire (a move that pretty much everyone magical can do, it's harmless, it's just used for decoration), and shot an arrow right at where Varimathras was when he used terramancy, and got a hit on the dvunrae's robe. Varimathras was now lit up with harmless, dancing flames, Gorin made his spirit-orb a halberd, and cut the rock-statue of the drow in two.

"What the hell? What is this?" Gorin heard a laugh behind him, and, in seconds, was cracked across the face by Varimathras's diamond on his bo staff. When he was on the ground, Varimathras jumped on top of him and used his Brilliant Light move to devour the monsterous half-demon in light. "I'll have Rein finish you off..But I need a rest.." And with that, both dvunrae and half-demon were out cold.
