The Treasure of a Thousand Years (6 needed)

Inspired by other "quest"-style battles, this is going to be one of my own design. And no, I was out of brain-juice when I thought up the title.

Anyways, the basic idea is, we go on a treasure hunt. 6 people. This treasure is considered "the ultimate goal for adventurers" - aren't they all? - and can literally be whatever you want. You'll have to descirbe how you meet up with my character and how you hear about it. I'll let you know when we actually set off, which will be either when we have 6 people, or when Sunday rolls around, whichever comes first.

Umm... I can't honestly think of anything else to say now, if you have further questions, please PM me!

My character will be Sarah TryForse. Look in my sig...

BiC: Sarah sat on her buffet. Coming to the ice-cream parlour had been the best idea. She licked the last scoop of her ice-cream, then grinned grimly as she took her money from her bag.

As she stepped out into the hustle-bustle of the town, she remembered something. She had planned to meet some other adventurers in a restauraunt somewhere. She walked down the main street. Then she rememebered that she had told them to meet her in the Brown Bull. She turned from the main street and walked down the slightly grimy alleyway until she saw the familiar sign.

"Ah, my favourite," said Sarah, sipping a fizzy drink, she sank into her favourite armchair by the fire, where five other chairs had been thoughtfully brought up. She grinned and closed her eyes, just to rest them of course...

OoC: Remember, any questions, PM me!

Re: The Treasure of a Thousand Years (6 needed)

OoC: I'll be using Pyrolis, his bio is in my sig.
BiC:
*Two days earlyer*
Pyrolis had been wandering down a well worn country road, not really knowing where he was going. His body did all of the walking but his mind was somewhere else, somewhere very far away. As usual he was thinking of people, places, and things from long ago. Deep depressing thoughts that most would never dare to think of.

It wasn't long before he reached the gates of a small village. He stoped in front of the gate and peered through, the place was full of activity as people husseled from store to store. Pyro could hear laughter and joyus conversation, the sound made him want to cry. But he didn't. He stood before the gate wondering if he should enter or not.

It was at that moment that a young woman dressed in a long red cape noticed him and flashed him a friendly smile. She had been standing near a fruit stand, trying to decide if she was hungry or not.
Pyrolis politly noded but his expression did not change. He suddenly felt awkward, so he turned and began to walk away from the vilage, back the way he had come. But the girl quickly follwed him.

"Hey, wait up!" She called to him as she broke into a brisk jog. Pyrolis didn't even seem to notice her, he just kept walking. The girl caught up to him and grabed him by the arm. Starteled by this, a quick tounge of flame flashed from Pyro's fingertips and actidently laped at The girls skin.

She jumped back, surprised, yet unharmed. "What was that?" her eyes were open wide.

"Forgive me." Pyro bowed his head gently then turned and continued back down the rode.

"Hey, wait a second!" she skiped after him. Pyrolis stoped and looked at her. She smiled "My name is Sarah. What's yours?" Pyrolis just blinked. Sarah continued. "Listen, you look like a talented guy who could use some excitment, I think I can help."

"Look, I'm not buying anything."

"No, no silly, I'm not selling anything. Look I need your help." Sarah went on to tell Pyrolis about the tresure she was about to go hunting for and explained how she couldn't do it by herself. Pyrolis listened but never said a word. "Hey, if you are interested meet me at the Brown Bull in town in two days, Okay?" Pyro nodded and the two went there seperate ways.

Pyrolis had no use for tresure, but the girl seemed kind and he did need to get his mind off of his missery. He would meet her again in two days.

OoC: Hope that was what you were looking for. If you need me to change it at all, just ask.

Re: The Treasure of a Thousand Years (6 needed)

Ooc: I'll use Darges, link in sig. In my character bio thing I say he's an it but I'll just call it a he since thats what I'm used to writing.
Bic: Darges had been floating through the town possesing random people until he had possesed an old woman. He decided to play a joke as he walked by a fruit stand.
The fruit vendor was showing Sarah some oranges while Darges walked by. As the fruit vendor held one in front of Sarah Darges made it explode. Sarah's face was covered in orange juice as she and the vendor began to argue about who broke it.

Sarah ended up leaving in a huff and Darges followed her.
After a few blocks, Sarah noticed that the old lady had been behind her for a while.
"What do you want." asked Sarah.
"A glass of orange juice would be nice." replied Darges.
Sarah got an angry look on her face and was about to yell at the old lady when she noticed
it was raining. "Wasn't raining a minute ago." she thought.

Darges did an old lady laugh but ended up couging and gagging as the old lady's throat filled up with phlem. Darges decided that this body wouldn't be useful for anything so he left as Sarah began to yell at the old lady. The old lady left in a hurry as Sarah yelled at her. Sarah heard a faint noise and looked around. She didn't see anything but noticed the fact that it had stopped raining.

"Wonderful day, isn't it." said a fat man that had just wobbled out of the bar.
Sarah looked at the man and decided that the man was probably drunk.
"Oi! I'm a bloomin fat man with a stick!" shouted the fat man as he grabbed a nearby sign post. Sarah looked at the man again and noticed that the fat man had a serious look on his
face.

"What are ya doin there lassy?" said a voice behind her.
Sarah turned around and saw that the old woman was back.
Both the fat man and the old woman said in unison, "I am Darges, possesor of bodies, bringer of bad things, and exploder of fruit."

Sarah thought about what the thing had said and decided that Darges would be perfect for the mission. "How would you like to search for treasure?" asked Sarah.
The old woman nodded as a spear weilding warrior was walking by.
The warrior stopped for a moment then he began to mutter gibberish.

Sarah was about to ask what was wrong with the warrior when the warrior suddenly turned
around. "I can't just have an old woman and a fat man as my bodies can I?" asked the fat man. "Just for reference, this warrior will be my main body, the other two will just be walking around here and causing trouble."

Sarah nodded and told Darges where to meet her.

Re: The Treasure of a Thousand Years (6 needed)

OoC: Elrick definatly would have fun here. Link's on my sig. Hope it's okay King Dodongo.

BiC:

The blood master was bored. Never truely happy with his life at this point, he simply wandered wherever he wanted to, protecting humanity against the demonic Bloodsword, the enormous sword that lay strapped to his back.

In his wanderings, Elrick one day came across the Brown Bull, an establishment located in a city whos name he'd already forgotten. Not that he was concieted, just that it affected him very little to know the name. He walked in to see that there were two people sitting together, talking about some grand adventure. It wasn't his business, so he went to the counter, ordered an ale, and sat alone in the corner, trying to figure out his ruined life. Where is Chanel, and where am I? he thougth, fondly sipping the cool drink.

Sarah looked up to see that he was sitting alone, and thought he recognized him from somewhere. Pyrolis, on the other hand, recognized the sword that he was carrying with him. Turning to the girl, he whispered, "Do you know what that is?"

"No," she whispered back, though unaware of why she was whispering.

"That man is holding the Bloodsword, an ancient weapon full of evil."

Elrick could tell that they were looking at him, but didn't really care. He was used to stares from everwhere he went. It continued for a minute, until the man came up towards him.

"Who are you?" he asked.

"I think you already know that," he answered cooly, making no sign that he was in any sence afraid.

"I know what that is," he said, pointing to the sword that was hanging on his back. "Are you Drake, the last weilder of the Bloodsword?"

"No, but you'd be amazed how often I get that," he answered, sipping the ale.

"Then Drake didn't get the powers?"

"No, I did," Elrick muttered, turning away from him. "and to tell you the truth, they're a real headache."

"I know how you feel," Pyrolis said apologeticly. "I cannot die."

"Do I care-"

"Excuse me," Sarah interrupted, looking up at them, "but when were you planning to come back?"

"I'm sorry, I disturbed you," Elrick sighed, turning to leave. "Good-bye." and he left the place without a word.

"Who was that anyway?" Sarah asked, wondering why Pyrolis would tal to a random person in a resturant.

"That was Elrick of Red, the blood master, a powerful fighter."

"The murderer?"

"No, that was Drake the former owner of that sword," Pyrolis explained, for he'd heard of the legends surrounding the sword. "Can he come?" he asked suddenly.

"What?"

"I said, can he come," Pyrolis looked at her, feeling true sympathy for the blood master, that all she coul do was say yes, and Elrick was soon returned to them.

"So, what is it you're doing again?" Elrick asked, wondering what he'd been comissioned for.

Re: The Treasure of a Thousand Years (6 needed)

(Look in the sig. Thanks.)

Arthur narrowed his hardened eyes as he stretched his arms at his stool in the bustling bar that smelled of grime and crudely brewed beer. The atmosphere was rather somber as sporadic chatting rang throughout the dinky pub. He gave a loud sigh as he sipped his ale with pleasure. A cold wind rushed through the sole window of the dimly lit place, refreshing Arthur's inflaming muscles. He gritted his teeth as he overheard a female voice in a somewhat pleasent conversation with a male. He averted his gaze of the stained counter and shifted his ear to eavesdrop out of curiosity. Before another male joined in a rather rough tone, they dropped that they were embarking on a treasure hunt. A frown emerged from the mercenary's lips-- he had the strange urge to join them. Combat duties had now tired him, even although he had once figured that he lived for strife. It would be such a pleasent change for once. He invested another glance at the party but spoke no words. Since it was a treasure hunt, surely they would divide the spoils, he thought. The wealth gave him more temptation as he tried to dismiss the thought. He was never the one to volunteer-- a client had always requested his services. He sighed again and swigged down his drink.

Re: The Treasure of a Thousand Years (6 needed)

OoC: It's strange how I have ideas for this and not my other battles... link to character is obviously in sig.

BiC:

Viraut was lying under a tree, dreaming of his mysterious memories that he longed to have back, but something said to not remember. He woke up and decided to just keep moving, maybe he could find a job or something. Right or wrong, good or evil, happy or angry, all these things confused him as he entered a tavern looking for the local freelance jobs.

The place was really packed, it seemed to be quite popular in town, drunks were everywhere and a few people were discussing jobs and what not. He got some looks for looking so young, but on the inside he felt withered and spread thin, other stares were just about his very large claymore strapped to his back. Viraut just ignored everything and approached the owner.

"Lemme see the mission listings."

"Sorry, kid, but I think your a little young." The owner said and turned around.

"I asked you nicely, I'm not gonna ask again." Viraut reached into the pouch attached to his right knee.

"Look punk, get out of here your to young, so go."

Viraut immediatly became angry and pulled out a kunai from his pouch and held it to the mans throat, "Give me the listings, now." He reached into one of his pockets and dropped a red rupee in the owners hand, "And I want a room."

The owner said nothing and pulled out papers and a key and handed them over, Viraut grabbed them and walked away, he felt eyes on him. He neared the stairs, and looked to his right to see a group of people staring straight at him, a young woman, and four muscular warriors. But once again Viraut just ignored the people that stared at him as he walked up the stairs to his room.

He dropped all of his things on a nearby desk, but his claymore he carefully placed standing up against a wall. He rubbed his eyes which had dark bags under them, and then went to sleep, he would read the listings in the morning.

Re: The Treasure of a Thousand Years (6 needed)

OoC: We'll start then!

BiC:
Sarah woke up suddenly, they were here. She looked around, then stood up briskley. She turned to see a mercenary swigging down the last of his drink.
"I will be joining you," said he.
"Cool," said Sarah, holding out her hand, "my name's Sarah, what's yours?"
"I'm Arthur," he said, grudgingly shaking her hand. He clearly was not in the mood for her bounciness.
"Well," she said, after pumping his arm up and down, "when you're ready, come over to the table, we have something important to discuss!"
Elrick and Pyrolis walked in, had a brief conversation with Sarah, and proceeded to sit down around her table.
A familiar warrior walked through moments later. Sarah greeted Darges and led him to her table.
"Let's see," she said, "one, two, three, four, five... we need a sixth player..." she had counted them all. Then she had an idea. She had seen a promising looking guy heading up for a room. He had grabbed some mission listings.
"He's the only one I can think of," she reassured herself, "wait here!" she spoke to the other four as she stepped away from the group.
Suddenly, she turned on her heel, whipped her cape around and vanished from sight.
"Pleasent lass, eh?" said the bartender.
"Why is she wanting to do this treasure hunt?" asked Darges.
"Oh, it's an old legend, there's some great evil empi- ah you've heard it all before," the bartender shrugged, "but she's got a heart of gold, make no mistake. Can i get any of you fellars a drink then?"
---
When she reappeared, she made no noise, just the rustling of her skirt and her cape. She scampered around to the bottom of the bed.
How should I wake him up? thought Sarah. She reached out and poked him.
He grunted and turned over.
Sarah looked slightly amused at this. She grabbed his shoulder and shook him a little. He didn't even make a noise.
And I thought Papa was a heavy sleeper... she thought. Suddenly, she had an idea. She walked ever-so-slowly over to his gear.
SNORK!
She jumped and put her hands over her mouth to stop herself from yelping. He turned over and slept on.
Wait until I tell him how he snores! she thought. Giggling slightly, she reached over and pulled back his bed-cover. Then, she quickly whipped the cape over both of them.
---

WHAM!
She landed rather neatly on the floor, whilst he slammed, face-down into the wooden floor-boards of the pub...
"up and at 'em soldier," she said commandingly (but couldn't manage to keep a grin off her face), "you've just been drafted! Get up and get dressed, on the double! Breakfast is going to be a delight as we're having tasty slops! MOVE IT!"
"We're not really having slops, are we?" asked Arthur.
"I'm only joking," said Sarah, stepping over the twitching sleepr's form. Very slowly indeed, he stood up.

OoC: That should set the mood of things rather nicely.

Re: The Treasure of a Thousand Years (6 needed)

Darges sat drinking a beverage that he had heard was laced with too much alcohal.
The body of the warrior Darges had possesed began to wobble and was having trouble standing.
Darges laughed to himself as he made the warrior dance like a twit around the bar.
Elrick gave Darges a dirty look and was very mad when he recieved a drunk slap to the face.

Sarah came into the room to find Elrick beating Darges with a bar stool.
The warrior started to cry and Elrick laughed.
"Not so tough now are ye?" he asked.
"What are you talking about?!" asked the sobbing warrior.

Darges had left the warrior's body and had possesed the body of a nearby goron instead.
"Why are you beating that innocent man?" asked Darges, rather sarcastically.
"He slapped me!" replied Elrick.
"No that was me and that warrior just died so you can stop beating him." replied Darges.
Elrick looked down and saw that the warrior was dead.

Darges laughed at the enraged Elrick and possesed him.
Darges looked at Elrick's memories and then left Elrick.
"Now that that's over, you can't hurt me." said Darges.
"Why not!" replied Elrick.
"Because a part of me is now inside your body and I can control you if I want." said Darges.

Darges repossesed the goron and watched as Elrick smacked himself several times.
"I'm done now." said Darges.
Sarah had been getting increasingly annoyed at this and said, "Now can we get to business?"
Darges and Elrick nodded.

"Ok, heres what this is all about." began Sarah.

Re: The Treasure of a Thousand Years (6 needed)

Sarah sat down, sighing and pulled a map out.
"This is why I needed 6," she said, as she pointed to the center of the map, "to take on this!"
"What is 'this'?" asked Arthur. He was pointing at 6 circles drawn on the map.
"That is the hexaforce, the last hurdle to the treasure," said Sarah, "I'll explain more as we get closer though, our path will lead us here-"
She traced a finger from a Star (marking the pub) to one of 6 other stars.
"Each star, besides this one (the pub), represents one of 6 pedestals. Once we have visited each pedestal, the hexaforce activates!"
"And what does the hexaforce have to do with the treasure?" asked Elrick.
"It is the key to unlocking it," said Sarah, "just trust me on this, OK?"
"So, when do we set off?" asked Viraut.
"It's late now, we'll set off tomorrow morning," said Sarah.
And with that, the sleepy ones made their ways upstairs.

OoC: this'll give you chance to run any mischeif you want. Just no killing each other, OK?

Re: The Treasure of a Thousand Years (6 needed)

Darges possesed a rito and flew to the top of the inn.
He sat on the roof and looked at the skies.
"Why am I even here?" he thought.
Whenever he was in front of others he would act waky and dumb but when he was alone he would always ponder his existance.

"Am I only here because of Harges?" he continued to think.
He stared at the stars some more until he heard someone step on the roof.
He turned and saw that Pyrolis had followed him up there.
"What do you want?" he asked Pyrolis.
"I saw right through your act." replied Pyrolis.

Darges turned his attention back to the stars but continued his conversation with Pyrolis.
"And what did you see?" he asked Pyrolis.
Pyrolis sat down next to him and said, "You act like your enjoying life but you seem to wonder why your here."

Darges thought about what Pyrolis had said and replied, "I'm only here because of Harges."
Pyrolis sat for a moment and tried to think about where he had heard that name before.
"Does he have any family?" asked Pyrolis.
"The last I heard he had a son named Gorin." replied Darges.
Pyrolis seemed slightly surprised by this.

"I know Gorin." said Pyrolis.
Darges turned his attention to Pyrolis as soon as he heard the word Gorin.
"Was Harges with him?" asked Darges.
"No, I heard that Harges is trying to take over Gorin's army." replied Pyrolis.
"I'm guessing the army of demons that my essence was made to keep out of this world is the army that Gorin is leading." said Darges.

Pyrolis stood up and was about to jump down from the roof when he said, "Just don't tell Arthur about
Gorn, he was hired to kill Gorin a while ago and isn't sure if he had killed him."
Darges nodded and went back to looking at the sky.
"So Harges really did have a kid." he thought.
"Oh well, I guess I'll have to kill Gorin too."

Re: The Treasure of a Thousand Years (6 needed)

OoC: Note for the future, Elrick isn't bloodthirsty at nature, he only hurts people when he needs to. He's very serious.

BiC:

Elrick sat alone under the night sky pondering his own exitance. Why is it that he could never find Chanel, no matter where he looked. Why was everything different from when it was before he woke up in the tomb.

"Doesn't matter now," Elrick muttered. He could see that Darges and Pyrolis were on the rooftop, so he decided to join them. Moving his blood, he soared up to speak with them. "Hello," he said knidly, still annoyed at Darges for possessing him.

"Hello slave," Darges laughed, motioning Elrick's hand towards him. "Nice night."

"For you maybe, now take away the possession spell."

"Why?"

"Because I don't want to hurt you," Elrick muttered, landing on the roof.

"Elrick, why don't you just do it yourself?" Pyrolis asked, knowing the powers he'd been given.

"Fine," ELrick answered, pulling off one of his gloves. Darges watched in facination as blood began to seep out of a gaping wound in Elrick's palm. Dark matter seeped out also, and merely slid back into Darges' body. "Don't annoy me again."

"And what if I do?" Darges asked with a grin.

For answer, Elrick stopped the bood that was running in his viens, causing his heart trouble. as Harges gasped for breath, Elrick muttered, "Don't annoy me, I have powers beyond your imagination."

With that, he left them to see if he could find Sarah inside.

Re: The Treasure of a Thousand Years (6 needed)

Ooc: Did Elrick stop his own blood or Darges blood?
Because if he had undone the possesion spell then stopping his own blood wouldn't have hurt Darges.

Bic: Darges watched as Elrick went inside.
"I guess I underestimated the brute." said Darges.
He looked back at the sky and wondered what Harges was doing.
Pyrolis jumped down to go inside and Darges decided to follow.

Darges went inside and saw Sarah and Elrick arguing.
He walked over to them.
"Why don't you tell us the whole thing!" shouted Elrick.
"Because you don't need to know yet!" replied Sarah.
Darges walked past them and went over to the bartender.

"What will ya have?" asked the bartender.
"You." replied Darges.
Darges possesed the bartender and made the bartender get drunk simply for his amusement.
Darges returned to the rito body and walked over to where the goron body still sat.

When he had possesed the rito he had forgotten to give command of the goron's body back to the goron. He sat next to the stiff goron and watched the arguement simmer down.
"Idiots." thought Darges.

Viraut, who had been watching the arguement, stepped in to stop the arguement even though it had simmered down to mumbling. Darges left the rito's body and slept in his true form, simply floating in the air.

Re: The Treasure of a Thousand Years (6 needed)

Pyrolis sat down at the bar to order a drink but soon saw that the bartender was passed out on the floor, drunk. "That would be Darges's doing." He sighed and shook his head. He hopped over the counter and poured himself a glass of hard liquor, then hopped back over the bar and setteled down onto a rookedy stool. He stired his finger slowly in the vile drink as he watched the others who were now scattered across the room, some still arguing. He wasn't sure exactly why he had joined this crew of hoolagins, but for some reason he was glad he did, dispite their constant bickering.

It was getting late and at last the room was starting to quiet down. Viraut soon decided to go back to his room to finish the long nap he had started. The dull hum that was Darges was floating somewhere near the cieling. Elrick was staring blankly out a cloudy window, thinking about who knows what. Arthur put all of his attention into his mug as he sat at the far end of the bar. And Sarah was sitting in the corner booth by herself.

She looked exausted, obviously drained from the stress of the six joining together for the first time. She hadn't really anticipated how hard it might be to try and lead a troop of treasure hunters. At the moment she stared blankly at the chandeler that hung from the cieling. It had been neglected and all of the six candles had gone out.

Pyrolis smiled and continued to stir the liquor with is fingers. He wet he hand in the beverage as best he could then flicked a single droplet of alcohal at the chandeler. The droplet ignited into a tiny flame and passed over one of the candles, lighting the wick as it went. Sarah turned and looked at him, surprise. Pyrolis pretended that he didn't know she was watching. He continued to fling tiny balls of fire towards the chandeler until all six candels were lit again. At last he looked at Sarah, she shook her head and laughed. Pyrolis then stood to his feet trying to hide a small smile and turned to the others in the room.

"All right everyone. We have a big day ahead of us tomarow. Lets get some sleep."

Re: The Treasure of a Thousand Years (6 needed)

"I'll be fine. I'm better off without too much sleep, it helps keep my endurance in check," he promptly said to Pyrolis in a reassuring, if a little cold voice although he did not seem to find any logic in what Arthur had just told him. But the mercenary had always been peeved when people suggested he slept for long. At any rate, he would probably spend countless hours thinking of everything and anything in bed anyway. It was best to leave him be and mind their own business. He had always been a nighthawk anyway-- he slept very little, traveled by night, and did not let anybody exhibit thought of his presence in normal circumstances. There was much to be done when he was awake though and he could only relive the nightmares of his past in his unruly slumber. He would probably die young, so it was probably better in the long run. Such was the way of the mercenary.

Before Pyrolis could protest, he swung his head the other way and fixed his gaze at the half drunk ale again. He had already ordered a good portion of rum anyway. Anymore would knock him out into a blackout and then in the morning, there was the nasty hangover to deal with it. Being a former heavy drinker, he knew better so he emptied his bottle of ale and made his way outside to the crisp night air, with a little swaggering but he dismissed his slgiht drunkeness. He made himself a seat by a barrel of aged wine and began to stare out into the stars, some of which were blocked out by the high spires of a temple of sorts that lanced through the sky in the small town. He hummed himself an old tune he had learned from the estate and he dropped a depressed sight. It was best not to sulk so much in memories, especially ones to sadden one's self, but it could not be helped. He thought of himself now-- a mercenary that wandered aimlessly for tasks. The good of it seemed distant, but it suited him well, a man of constant strife. Regardless, it followed him everywhere. It was probably best to go with the flow. He gave a light smile, something that had not entered his visage for a time, as he heard the crickets chirp and the scent of night billowing throughout.

Re: The Treasure of a Thousand Years (6 needed)

OoC: Right, we're setting off!

BiC: Sarah walked down into the bar the following morning. She grabbed something from her bag and began to eat it.
"Mornin'" said a slightly sleepy Pyrolis.
"Hey there," said Sarah
"I think Darges is up too!" said Pyrolis.
"How can you tell?" said Sarah, looking around.
"That humming noise is him," said Pyrolis, shrugging and getting a seat by the bar.
"oh," said Sarah, she looked up to where she thought he was, "MORNING!" she shouted.
"Do you have to yell so loud?"
Arthur staggered in. Clearly he had too much to drink the previous night.
Sarah shook her head slowly. Then thought for a moment.
"Right, I'm here," said Elrick. He slammed himself into a seat.
Unnoticed, Viraut also slunk in.
"Well, now that we're all here, I suppose we should get a move on," said Sarah.
"Wait, don't we have a caravan or anything?" asked Elrick.
"We would've had one, if Darges hadn't messed with the landlord last night!" said Sarah, emphasizing the word "Darges" - "But, his wife agreed to setting one up for us, so let's go!"
They trooped outside. There were two horses and a caravan. Sarah immediatelly got up into a seat and whipped the reins. The horses began to walk forward at a leisurely pace. Elrick, Pyrolis, Arthur and Viraut either fell into step with it or climbed into the back. You couldn't tell what Darges was doing because he was invisible.
"Our first stop is GreenBlade Forest," said Sarah to her companions, "it's the closest, so shouldn't take too long to get to!"

Re: The Treasure of a Thousand Years (6 needed)

"Ahhhhh... what?" Viraut yawned, he hadn't gotten much sleep last night and was still tired at the moment and his pace with the wagon slowed. So he just jumped into it and slept in there, though it was quite hard with a strange humming noise near him.

"So what do we do in Greenblade forest?" Pyrolis asked.

"The usual stuff, monsters, rupees in grass for no apparent reason, and the pedistal, you know... the usual stuff." Sarah answered.

"Right..."

They kept an even pace for around a few hours, when they reached the edge of the forest, "W-w-wah what, where are we?" Viraut awoke suddenly.

"We're here!" Sarah said in triumph, "Alright grab your stuff, we're leaving the wagon here cause it's to dangerous.

Everyone grabbed their personal equimpment and what they could carry when Elrick spoke up, "Umm, where is the food? And medical supplies?"

Sarah stopped in her tracks and blushed, oh man... I can't believe I forgot those things!... she thought.

Re: The Treasure of a Thousand Years (6 needed)

"Don't tell me you forgot!" said Pyrolis.
"Ok, I won't!" she said, turning away.
"So now what?" asked Elrick, sighing.
"Well, we can't exactly go back," said Sarah, thinking hard, "we'll just have to go in, besides it's not COMPLETELY dangerous!"
"How so?" asked Viraut.
"Well, there's this little clan of adorable little guys in the centre of the forest. They are quite freindly. But the main thing you have to watch out for are the Man Traps, Hagns, Treants, Green Dragons, OH! And the worst of them all, the CircaSaurus!"
"Those things do not exist!" said Arthur.
"Want a bet?" said Sarah, "they're all resistant to Earth and Water magic, but detest Fire magic!"
"But where's this pedestal?" asked Pyrolis.
"annopyingly, right next to the CircaSaurus' pit..." said Sarah.
"There's more then one?" said Darges (who had possessed Pyrolis for a moment) "what's so bad about them?"
"Thay are giant chameleons, but without the Colour-changing bit," said Sarah, "just watch out for the tongue, ok?"
And with that, they started in.

Re: The Treasure of a Thousand Years (6 needed)

The warriors trudged through the forest. There were occasional monsters but nothing big enough to be worth mentioning. They just continued their walk, oblivious to the creatures that were watching them from the trees.

As they were walking Darges decided to get a little payback on Elrick. Darges entered Elrick's mind.
Elrick knew that Darges had possesed him and thought, "I told you not to possess me again!"
Darges laughed, "I didn't possess you again, I have no clue what that stuff was but it's in the Rito's body now." Elrick became angered and thought, "For that I will get you out of my body and make your blood stop flowing until you die!"

Darges laughed again and said, "Several things wrong with that: For starters, I'm immortal. Secondly, when I possess someone the piece of me that stays in them is in the deap recceses of their mind, meaning you would have to cut out a very large portion of your brain to get rid of me, and that would be fatal. And last but not least, I don't have blood."

As the two continued to argue inside of Elrick's head, the creatures that had been watching attacked.

Re: The Treasure of a Thousand Years (6 needed)

A great rustle lashed from the dark bushes that lay below the large canopy. Arthur bolted to his side as a roar emerged from his behind. A batalant cling of metal sounded as Arthur drew his sword on the ground and rolled as fangs rolled aheadand began to weave through the damp smell of morning, drool spilling into the floor. Growls erupted as the wolf swung forward, trying to reap human blood from its sharp claws. Arthur surged forward to deliver a slash but the agile wolf swerved to the side and howling, it set itself to dig its claws into the mercenary's back. Suddenly, another cry sounded, summoning two more of the monster's companions. Arthur paled and gave a sudden yelp as he manuevered backward, blood streaming profusely from a tendon of his right leg. Hissing loudly, he geared his constituion forward and threw somebody to the ground, as one of the wolves leapt after the piled bodies. With a harsh cry, Arthur swung forward as the wolf adjusted himself. There was a brief expulsion of anguish as a furry arm hovered faintly and fell to the ground.
