Duel in the Pine Glade *WindWaker*
It was a calm cool day. It was was the season of autumn, and the leaves began to change their color. All the maples, birches, ashes, willows, oaks, aspens, sycmores, larches, yews, and every other type of tree's green leaves began to cahnge into a golden burley color. All except the pines and firs......
Mirren was standing atop a very tall pine tree. A gentle, cool breeze blew, and it felt good upon him. His dirty blonde hair swayed to the left, and he watched over the pine glade with hsi hazel eyes. He kind of missed the beautiful emerald and oliver green colors of the leaves from Spring and Summer, so he was now spending his day in a glade of tress that would always stay their wonder dark green colors; the pines. As he stood, he suddenly heard a little rustle in the brush below him, and glanced down. He saw a figure making his way through the glade, and Mirren became curious. I should go see who that is.....perhaps he's a warrior....I could use a nice competitive fight....." he said to himself in his head. Mirren then looked around, and realized how high he was. All I gotta do now is figure out how to get down from here......"

OoC: O_o A challenge, Lasur will fit your character fine
If you don't mind i'll just write an extremely short post and then let you post the start of the battle, if you don't mind. IC: Lasur was looking around, 'the trees are beautiful in the autumn' he thought. Suddenly he heard some cracking sounds up in one of the very tall pine trees. "Who's there!?" he shouted. |

Re: Duel in the Pine Glade *WindWaker*
ooc: Fine be that way!!!
Just joking, I'm happy as can be!! ^_^ Sure I'll do the intro post, and while we're at this we'll make this your final lesson for the Training School!! ^_^ So you better do good! ^_^ ic: Mirren looked down Lasur. He looked like a very powerful fighter, and even from all the way up where Mirren was. The boy jumped, and gracefully fell through the numerous pine banches, almost like he was sliding down. Lasur watched as the young boy dressed in a dark teal turtleneck and brown adventuring pants came down towards him, and soon bounded off one of the lower branches, and landed swiftly. Mirren looked at Lasur, and with a fierce look in his eyes. "I am Mirren, little brother of Link, the Hero of Time"Mirren stated, "what brings you to this pine glade?" Lasur smirked. "I really do enjoy the pines and firs, but mainly for a fight....." he answered. Mirren nodded, and grasped the bronze hilt of the Goddesses' Sword tightly. He began to pull the platinum-like blade out, and once he did grasped the hilt with his other hand also. He narrowed his eyes. "Then you have one in me......" he replied. In a flash hen, Mirren flew at Lasur and attempted a vertocal slash. In the same speed Mirren attacked with though, Lasur pulled out hsi great blade, and parried Mirren's shot. The boy pulled back,a nnd yelled in fury as he did a slash. Lasur blocked the blow hough by lifting up his blade just in time, and went for a stab. Mirren did the same, and the tip of their swords collided. A couple sparks flew, and they grappled for a second. Then both of them at the same time pulled their swords back, and lunged at each other. They threw the hilt of their swords out,a nd smashed it into each other's cheek. Both of them were instantly floored, and quickly clutched their throbbing cheeks as they groaned in pain. This would be a very painful battle for the both of them..........

Re: Duel in the Pine Glade *WindWaker*
"You're very good, young Mirren." Lasur said.
"I do my best, but this is really no time for compliments." Mirren replied Lasur attempted a horizontal slash, but Mirren blocked it. Lasur answered to the block with a vertical slash, Mirren barely blocked the slash. It seemed that they were equally fast, but Lasur knew he was stronger and that would, in a way, be an advantage. Mirren slashed, Lasur blocked, Lasur slashed, Mirren blocked, they continued like that for at least 20 minutes. Lasur conjured a fireball and threw it at Mirren, he barely dodged. Then Lasur charged, he slashed, but Mirren quickly blocked. He attempted to cut Mirren and this time he succeded, Mirren got a cut in the left arm, he shouted in pain. The cut was quite deep, blood was running from the wound. The wind was starting to blow a lot more now, the trees were dancing in the wind and lots af leaves were blowing around Mirren and Lasur. They both stood looking at eachother, waiting for the other one to take action, they now both charged.... OoC: Sorry, not too long, i have a hard time finding the inspiration i need these days O_o |

Re: Duel in the Pine Glade *WindWaker*
They both lunged at each other, and grasped the hilt of their blades tightly. Lasur pointed his sword out, and prepared for a stab. Mirren though kept his sword in the same position as when as charged, almost as if he was going to block the attack instead of try to land a blow on Lasur. They came at each other, and Mirren ducked at the last second and avoided the sword. He passed Lasur, and the young man was a bit surprised by Mirren's evasion, but not enough for Mirren to take advantage of him......
In a flash, Lasur spun around, and did a might slash with his sword; although it only cut air. At that moment, he was just able to see Mirren roll at him, but not in time to dodge Mirren's attack. The boy stuck the Goddesses' Sword out horixontally as he rolled passed him, and the blade cut right into Lasur's leg. He grunted in pain, and did a flipfrom the force of the hit. He crashed on the ground, and clutched his bleeding leg as he rived in pain. Mirren was finished with his role-through, and stood up as he looked down at Lasur. "Blood for blood my friend....." he said. ooc This was kinda short also. Sorry, we'll get into it more though.

Re: Duel in the Pine Glade *WindWaker*
OoC: I'm sure you're right
![]() BiC: "You, brother of the legendary one, this is not over yet." Lasur replied and got up. It started raining. Lasur and Mirren soon became soaking wet. The wind was blowing in their faces, it was cold, none of them spoke. It was as if they both were in some sort of trance, but then they both came to their senses. Mirren charged just as Lasur shouted: "Kuy ra maisi kaa." At these words the ground started shaking, Mirren stopped in mid-charge, and looked around, shocked. "Just a little earthquake." Lasur stated Mirren had a hard time standing on his feet, he slid and fell to the ground. Lasur wasn't having much trouble though. The earthquake stopped and Lasur pointed a long finger at Mirren. Blue lightning shot out of it, holding Mirren in a very firm grasp, almost as if a big hand was holding him like a little puppet. Suddenly Lasur let go of him. He fell to the ground, shaking. He quickly got up though. OoC: I'm sorry, i don't know what to write, it's kinda depressing.(Note: That i know you might think i'm fishing for compliments, but that's not the case, i am and have always been very self-critical.....nm. I'm gladly accepting lots of advice ) |

Re: Duel in the Pine Glade *WindWaker*
Mirren was a bit surprised at the odd attack Lasur had just used on him. He stood up, and looked around himself confused. He looked over at Lasur.
"What was that?" he asked. Lasur smirked. "Just a lil taste of my magic, you like it?" he asked back. Mirren stood breathing heavily, but soon grinned. "Yeah....but check this out. Mirren now grasped the hilt of the Goddesses' Sword tightly with both both hands, and narrowed his eyes. He began to concentrate, and Lasur watched on wondering what the boy was doing. The pebbles and pine needles around Mirren began floating in the air, and the blade on his sword was glowing with a light blue color. Lasur's eyes widened, and he gasped in shock. Suddenly there was a flash from the tip of Mirren's blade, and then there was an explosion. A great illumination was created by it, and a large gust of wind also was made. It struck Lasur head on, and he planted his feet as he put his arm above his eyes. He grunted as he did his best to stay up, and his feet began being pushed back a little. Luckily the wind soon stopped, and the dust began to clear. Slowly it did, and once it was gone, a smaller crater in the ground was revealed, but oddly Mirren was absent. Lasur cocked an eyes. "Where did that boy go?" he asked hinself in his head. Just then he heard a sound behind him,a nd he turned his head around. In that very second, Mirren screamed in fury, and shot a beam of energy from the tip of the Goddesses' Sword. It soareda t Lasur, and struck him head on. He yelled out in apin as it annhilated him with its great power, and he felt literally blow him away. There was an illumination from the explosion, and Lasur soon crashed on the ground. His body was smoking, and his clothes were charred. He groaned in apin, as Mirren stood in his fighter position with a fierce look in his hazel eyes.

Re: Duel in the Pine Glade *WindWaker*
OoC: Finally
![]() "Let me s..show y..you one of my special powers, Mirren." Lasur coughed. He slowly got up, lifted his sword, pointing it towards the sky. It began glowing in a light, yellow color. Lasur could feel new energy flooding through him. He looked down of himself, no change in how he looked. "A neat little spell, bound within the sword." Lasur stated and redied himself, to whatever Mirren was gonna bring. With a fierce battle cry Mirren charged. Lasur blocked his attack and kicked him in the chest. He fell backwards, but quickly got up. Lasur charged Mirren, Mirren blocked his attack but Lasur was prepared, and planted a fist in Mirren's face. Mirren's lip was torn and it was bleeding badly, he could taste the blood in his mouth. He recieved another punch in the stomach region, spat out blood and coughed, looking down. Lasur lifted his head up by the hair, and kicked him in the chest, he fell to the ground. "I do hope that hurts, a lot." Lasur growled. Lasur lifted his hands to the sky, and conjured a big energy field. Out of it shot a beam of purple lightning, it surrounded Mirren and smashed him into a tree, he was unconsious. |

Re: Duel in the Pine Glade *WindWaker*
Mirren sat against the fir tree motionless. His eyes were closed, and his mouth was open a little as blood still flowed from his wounded lip. It was all over his chin, and some of it ran down to his neck even. His dark teal turtleneck was torn in a few places, and charred from the energy blast. Mirren had been badly hurt just now, and most definely wouldn't be getting up for hours. Lasur knew he knocked the kid unconscious, and pretty badly too. He slowly slid his sword back into his scabbard, and bowed to Mirren. With that, he turned around, and began to leave the pine glade.
Mirren suddenly opened his eyes. He was silent as could be, and watched as Lasur walked off. He slowly reached for the hilt of his sword, and soon tightly grasped it with his right hand. He then put his left hand around it, and got onto his feet, but only in a kneeling position. He narrowed his eyes at Lasur, anbd got ready. In a second, he flew at him, and screamed in fury as he pulled the Goddesses' Sword back. Lasur heard the boy's holler, and knew instantly that Mirren had been playing around the entire time. He turned around, and saw the child for one last second before Mirren brought the pain. He smashed the hilt of of the Goddesses' Sword into Lasur's stoamch, and the warrior's mouth hung straight down as he made a choking-like sound from the pain Blood shot out, and dripped from his mouth as his eyes bugged out. Mirren felt that urge of ruthless agressive surge through his blood, and he pulled his hilt back. He slammed it in again, and again, and finally one last time. More blood spat out from Lasur's mouth, and each time he made a distubing noise from his pain. The very moment after Mirren planted the hilt of his sword into Lasur's stoamch, he pulled it out, and jumped up into the air as he did a spin cut. The platinum-like blade on the Goddesses' Sword tore right through Lasur's garments, and ripped his kin wide open. He roared in pain, and was sent flying backwards. He landed hard on the ground, and clutched his upper chest as he rived in agony. There was a great slash mark there, and blood flowed from it freely and stained his shirt crimson. Mirren sneered at him. "Never put your blade away on me unless I'm dead....." he whispered.

Re: Duel in the Pine Glade *WindWaker*
Though badly wounded, Lasur managed to gather his strength and get up. Now more furious than ever he charged Mirren with incredible force. When Lasur was only 20 inches from colliding with Mirren, he jumped to the side, he slammed the hilt of his sword at Mirren, hitting him in the back. Lasur then jumped to the other side of Mirren and handed him a punch in the stomach. He bend over in pain, looking down into the ground. Lasur then gave him an uppercut. Mirren fell backwards, in pain. His torn lip was bleeding even more, and he was coughing up blood from the punch in the stomach.
Lasur was standing as a stone statue infront of him, not saying anything, not making a move; but then, he spoke: "Get up let's get this over with." Mirren got up, picked up the sword he had dropped on the ground when falling. The two warriors were already badly wounded. Mirren had several blood stains on his cloth, his lip was torn and his turtle neck broken. Lasur wasn't that badly wounded, his Mithril armour had provided him with some protection. He had a slashmark though and he was exhausted. His sword was providing him with a lot of energy and strength. Lasur then did a jump attack, he swung his sword with incredible speed, Mirren had no time to block it. The sword hit his left shoulder and gave him a long cut. Mirren shouted in pain. "Never underestimate your enemy." Lasur said. OoC: I'm sorry if there's any spelling or gramma errors, this was written quite fast ![]() EDIT: Hmm...i edited a few of the grammar errors. |

Re: Duel in the Pine Glade *WindWaker*
Mirren was in some great pain. He had numerous wounds in several places of his body, and eached one sent agony surging through the small boy's body. He had a terrible throbbing pain in his bak from where the hilt of Lasur's hilt smashed into him, a throbbing stomach from the massive punch he recieved there, a bleeding lip and a mouth full of blood from the uppercut, and a deep, bloody gash in his left shoulder from the vertical slash Lasur had performed with his sword.
The boy winced, and groaned slightly as he got to his knees. He staggered getting up, and numerous times his arm buckled and nearly collapsed. But even for his small size, the boy used every single bit of his incredible fotitude to at least stand on both knees. He had his head bowed, and a drop of blood would drip from his mouth every so often and cascade on the forest floor. He breathed heavily, and seemed like he would black out at any moment from his wounds and fatigue. Lasur narrowed his eyes, and grasped the hilt of his sword tightly with both hands. He slowly strode over to Mirren, and within a few more moments, he stood right before the kneeling child. "I promise not to kill you, but I will finish this battle once and for all and end this ruthless punishment on you young one...." he stated with a bit of a wise tone. With that, Lasur began to slowly pull his sword behind his head, and looked staright down at the boy. He looked very serious. "Forgive me....." Lasur clenched his blade even more, and the very moment he was able to bring it down on the child, Mirren snapped his head up and in a flash unleashed a spray of blood into Lasur's face. The warrior cried out in surprise from the tactic, and clutched his face as the blood seeped into his eyes. He grunted from the stinging pain, and also choked a little from it as it made its way into his mouth. Mirren then pointed a greatly glowing blue diamond at him, and narrowed hsi eyes fiercly. He scaremed in fury, and shot a beam of ice from the diamond. It struck Lasur at point blank range, and sent him flying as it began to freeze his body. He yelled out in pain, and crashed into one of the pine trees. His back slid down the trunk, and he sat against it as the ice froze his chest, shoulders, and parts of his arms. He breathed heavily, and winced from the terrible cold on his body. Mirren had a bit of ferocity in his hazel eyes. "This fight ain't over yet......I've got more fortitude than you'll probably ever have......" he sneered.

Re: Duel in the Pine Glade *WindWaker*
OoC: Did you read the post i posted in here before(I deleted it), about me not being able to continue this fight before i finished the 2 essays i had to write?
Well, guess what, one of them was cancelled and i'm as good as finished with the other one. Now i'll be able to continue(end, or whatever this post will turn into) ^^ ![]() BiC: Lasur was slowly being frozen, he was sitting next to a tree. Though he was still conscious, he was unable to do much, but think. He had a plan formed in his head. He tried to concentrate on breaking the ice, if this was gonna work he had to be focused. It was cold, he wasn't sure if he would be able to stand against it much longer. He closed his eyes, focused his mind on breaking the ice. In that incredible moment, the ice splintered into a thousand pieces. Such was the force of Lasurs "attack", that Mirren's diamond shattered, and he fell down. Lasur slowly got up, he was exhausted. He looked at Mirren, he was lying down, breathing heaviely. It seemed to Lasur that the battle was over, Mirren couldn't possibly continue in that condition. Lasur looked around, the big pine trees were staggering in the wind. The sky had gone black, he could hear the scream of a raven nearby. He fell to his knees, stuck his sword into the ground. He was exhausted, so was Mirren. Lasur wouldn't be able to continue, neither would Mirren. They were both weary from the battle, it had been a hard one, especially for Mirren, after all he was only a boy. Lasur got up, turned to leave. He looked back at Mirren one last time. "Till we meet again, Mirren, brother of the hero." He then turned and walked away. He was not in doubt that surely, he would meet Mirren again. OoC: I didn't know how to tackle this. Why don't we call it a draw? Is that fine by you? ![]() Sorry if this wasn't the ending you wanted ![]() |

Re: Duel in the Pine Glade *WindWaker*
Whatever, a tie is fine by me. Nice fight, and you've graduated from Mirren's Training Grounds, I'll hold a lil celebration for you shortly. Though I wish you would've made the end a litle more exciting.........
