The runeblade (anyone)

OoC: Using Geva. This battle will be about that Geva want's to enter a temple to find the location of the runeblade ( A very powerfull sword). You must stop him, or the world has become a more dangerous place. Or if you want to find the blade yourself ofcourse...

BiC: It was dark. The moon stood high, revealing with his soft light an ancient building. The enviroment around it was, ruined. Hard rock were sometimes replaced with weth, sticky mud. No grass, no trees, not even a single flower grew there. As the place held a secret. A dark secret that never must be revealed. But now, a man staps forward to unlock the secret that lied there.

His name was Geva, and he came here for the location of the runeblade. According to the legends, the runeblade holds many powers, many dark powers. If one would take the runeblade of his resting place, dark powers would fill the one that took it. These dark powers would be overwelming for someone good, but for someone evil they were usefull.

Not many knew of the runeblade, not even Geva. He figured it out accidently
**************

Five days ago

Geva was in a village. Not a very calm village, as it was filled with thieves, whores, dark wizards and even evil creatures. Normal people would avoid this village, as it was called "Darknight" For a reason. Evil people however, felt here home, if they had a home.

This village disgusted Geva, even if he was evil. The only reason what drove him to this place was to find a clue to locate a person. A person with a mighty sword, who defeated him the last time they met eachoter.

When heading for someone who was called "The Snake", he heard various rumours like that there was a temple nearby where the souls of dead people haunted the place. Not paying attention, he went in a dark building, who could easily called a ruin, as the windows were broken, the wood was rotten, the door fell when you gave it a tick, and the stones were filled with dust.

"The Snake" was a long and skinny person. His face looked like a snake, and he was rubbing his left hand all the time. "Ah i heard of you, would youu like ssome inforrmation?" The snake sissed. "III hearrd that a temple nearrby couldd rrreveal the llocation off a verry powerfulll sssword."

Geva was immediatly sold, as he forgot his original question, and asked where this temple was.

************

And now Geva stood there, giving a good look at the temple. "I'm giving myself a new goal, to find that runeblade," Geva whispered. Suddenly he heard a noise behind him. Drawing his sword, he turned around to see who was there.

Re: The runeblade (anyone)

Ooc: I'll be using Arthur from my sig.

"The sword is not yours."

The voice belonged to a tall and slim, hard eyed mercenary that stood in his path with sufficent armor and equipment for battle. He gave a reasonable scowl that seemed to say something hostile and malevolent. He reached for his sheath at his back with a single hand without turning his head and from it, he quickly drew a heavy claymore that gleamed in the moonlight as the sharpness of grinding metal echoed throughout the dominating darkness that hung over the night. He drew his eyes down into a formidable glare again and he drooped his shoulders and build into a battle stance, his sword held by two hands. The evening air sucked into his nostrils and as the knight breathed, he waited for the intruder to make a move of any sort, his frame being poised for counterattack. The moments went by slowly as the wind howled through the shrubery that lied throughout the night scene.

"Speak, stranger. Or would you prefer to be cut down from where you stand?"

Re: The runeblade (anyone)

OoC: I've read some of you're former battles, you're good.

BiC: Geva didn't liked this, this man looked like trouble. The grip on his sword went tighter. Not wanting to be unprepared, Geva took his sword now in both hands, and replied: "So you think the sword is not mine? True, but when i take it, it is going to be mine!" Almost immediatly Geva opend his legs, and went ducked a little bit. His sword described the half of a circle, and stopped behnd his side. If the man would attack, he would be ready. And he was ready to attack. It's been a long time since i actuelly fought without my transformations, maybe i should try. Geva thought.

Without warning, Geva ran at the stranger and attacked. A sharp, hard noise of metal was heard when the two blades hitted eachother. With brute force, both swordmen hold on their grip, trying to push back their opponent. Suddenly, Arthur side stepped, causing Geva to bend a little bet forward. Soon as he did that, Arthur slashed, and hitted Geva in the shoulder. It was not a large cut, nor was it deep, but it still hurted. Small drups of warm blood flooded out of the wound. Not paying attention to this, Geva turned to Arthur, and slashed again, and hitted Arthur in his right shoulder. It was not a large nor a deep cut, but it was a cut.

Re: The runeblade (anyone)

Occ: Hey thanks, right back at ya.

Arthur grimaced as a crimson graze appeared on the side of his shoulder. He gritted his teeth and stormed forward as burning pain shot up his right arm, but it considerably numbed as he moved forward and met himself at a lock with his opponent by sword. The two struggled for a minute, pushing themselves to overwhelm the other with their brute might but none prevailed as Arthur released his blade and hastily withdrew himself under the inky blue sky. His rival followed quickly but the mercenary had anticipated himself and quickly shifted backwards in a graceful motion and forced himself into a sweeping motion. Geva was caught off guard and he tripped into the ground but found himself relatively unscathed. Arthur cursed himself for the failure as he rushed forward to continue the steady onslaught. Geva's grimacing face suddenly broke into a wicked smile as he leapt up from his backside and exchanged his sword. A clank of metal echoed throughout the night sky as Arthur yelped as Geva raised himself with panting from the other side of the former soldir, having gave a hefty jump. Examining Arthur closer, blood trickled the side of his right temple and oozed into the ground. Arthur hissed as he felt the effects of the the wound but noticed that it had done relatively little damage and he charged forward with increasing vigor. He gave a light thrust at the center of his opponent's guard, which was hastily blocked. Adrenaline rushed into his body as he swung his claymore to the side and then gave a crescent slash, knocking the sword out of his opponet's hands and into a dark patch of grass bathed in moonlight. He rushed forward, ready for a murderous asault.

Re: The runeblade (anyone)

Geva rolled to his sword, not only to get his weapon back, but also to dodge the deadly attack. When he got up, he had his sword in his hand. Without doubt, he rushed at his opponent to finish him off. Arthur however, had already recovered, And blocked the attack from Geva. A shake went through Geva's body when his attack was blocked.

Arthur suddenly pushed with his sword Geva back, and attacked him with a veritcal slash. Geva stumbled backwards, but recovered quickly, and used a horizontal slash to block Arthur's attack. Again, they tried to overcome eachother, but there was no telling who was stronger, as both of their swords didn't moved an inch.

Geva's muscels where starting to hurt as the two struggelt to win. And his legs were shaking. Not seeing another option, Geva raised one of his legs, and kicked Arthur in the stomach. Arthur bent over when that happend, and Geva took his change, and a horizontal slash followed, hitting Arthur in his cheek. He reacted immediatly, and stabbed at Geva's leg.

Re: The runeblade (anyone)

Arthur surpressed a yelp escaping from a body before muttering only somewhat coherently, "Right back at you!"

He shifted his body forward as his opponent quickly surrveyed the damage he had done and grabbed for Geva's legs. Slightly shaken, his rival reared back his frame and attempted to shake off Arthur frantically and trying to dig his sword into Arthur's spine. Gritting his teeth, he bolted backwards and launched a small flurry of kicks into his adversery's chest. Taken aback, Geva stormed forward out of surprise and taking advantage of the sudden slight, he readied his sword and gave a hefty stroke as the mercenary attempted to withdraw himself to an upright position. Arthur shrugged it off as more blood spurted into the damp blades of the grass as the moon shone brightly on his severely wounded face. His nerves rocked warily as he rushed forward again. He broke into several jabs that his opponent evaded with ease. Sweating profusely and exhausted from the assault, Arthur let his guard down and suffered a graze along his ribs, courtesy of his opponent's blade. His scowl transformed into fiercer gaze of fury. With a sprang and resounding cry throughout the night, he leapt into the visage of his opponent, ready to pound his sword into flesh.

Re: The runeblade (anyone)

As Arthur's blade went down, Geva immediatly backflipped, avoiding the attack that could've killed him. A little shock went through his legs when he came down, as his hand was still holding his sword. Seeing a change, Geva ran at Arthur, ready to pierce his sword into his flesh.

Ironcal, his foot met a rock, and he tripped. Pain went through his chest when he fell, and his nose was bleeding. He got up, but Arthut took advantage of the situation, slashed at Geva with great force. A cut in Geva's chest was the effect. It bleeded heavily, and a sharp pain went through Geva's veins, as he roared it out of the pain.

Angered, he tighten his grip on his sword, and slashed at Arthur, who blocked it. There wasn't any time to struggle, as he withdrawed his sword, and slashed again. This process repeated several times untill Geva had enough. He stopped attacking and jumped backwards.

"Playing time is over!" Geva roared, " Time to let you see my power, electric form!" Suddenly, he turned instantly into electric, and his sword followed. It was a bit brighter now, but when the crispy, electric sounds were heared, Geva laughed insane. And then he rushed quickly at Arthur, ready to pierce him.

Re: The runeblade (anyone)

Arthur's eyes widened in general disbeleif as he struggled to maintain self control. He reared himself from the assault but it did not seem he could defend himself from this strategic turn. His hands fell towards his back and with it, he drew a fine yew bow. Panting, he continuied to flee from the scene. Piercing light from the shockwaves seared through his eyes as he turned forward and nocked an arrow to his bow string. Struggling to concentrate as sweat began dripping from the heat ray, he loosed the shaft and hoped that it would strike true. A sharp sound created a clatter in his ears as he found himself nocking another arrow. He yelped as the bolts hindered his line of sight even more as the arrow glided downwards in certain failure from lack of focus. He reared back, some feeling stemming back into his eyes. He gave a great cry though as he felt something lance through his spine with hot and blistering pain. A certain numbness followed as he lifted himself up and prepared to flee again.

Re: The runeblade (anyone)

Again, Geva laughed insane when he fired his electric balls. A feeling of satisfaction went through him wen Arthur tried to flee from him. What made him more laugh, was that the arrow he shot as a distraction, missed him. Now, it seemed like he actuelly hit Arthur, but he got up and fleed again.

Amused, Geva shot more and more electric balls at Arthur. Not exactly to hit him, he was rather toying with Arthur, then firing with the meaning to hit him. Still amused, Geva walked in Arthur's direction, to make sure he had a good aim at Arthur so that he could hit him if neccesary.

Suddenly, he felt a little breeze going over him. It was a pleasant feeling. Distracted, Geva looked in the direction of the breeze, and saw the temple. Ah, yes. I must find information about the whereabouts of the runesword. I will crush this guy later. Geva thought.

Running at the temple, Geva shot more electric balls for distraction. But he knew that Arthur would notice it, so he began running as fast as he can. The Runesword was top-priority now.

Re: The runeblade (anyone)

Arthur was simply bemused, his body hurting all over with the electrical shocks endured. He struggled and cried as he lifted himself from a recent fall, his grip on the sword beggining to tighten into a trail of sweat and blood. A hiss broke from his wounds and his weakening eyes began to notice his rival fleeing towards the temple, the one which he had been hired at all costs to guard. He swore loudly, breaking the silence that hung over the still night. His eyes narrowed, gaining determination and spirit now. With a cry of coupled pain and endurance, he veered his frame forward and broke into an agonizing sprint of vigor. His injuries began to numb now as he rushed forward with all the valor his battle hardened soul could summon from the innermost depths of his will and mind. His eyes narrowed into a deep scowl again and slowly, something overtook his faltering eyes. It was as if he was immersed into a deep trance as his pupils began to warp away into something else. Arthur felt a euphoria coming over him as a burst of energy exploded into his veins, lifting his wavering and crumbling mentality into a mighty bolt that began to emit into his palms. A light cackle that was initially quiet began to build up in sound as its harsh cry pierced the sky. His eyes slowly began to revert as energy surged into a concentration in his hands. The mercenary gave a great war cry as he thrusted himself forward and unleashed the stocked might from his shining palms, sending a pair of powerful and broad light beams into the night's air right into the direction of the foe.

Re: The runeblade (anyone)

Geva noticed that something bright was heading his way. Curious, Geva stopped and turned around. Two electric beams where heading his way with great speed. Knowing that it was to late to dodge them,Geva, still in electric form, prepared himself. A burning pain went through his flesh, as the two beams hitted him.

He roared it out, seering with rage, anger and pain. Bending through his knees, the pain was still there. But thanks to his electric form, he was able to survive, as well absorb a bit of the power of the attack. Feeling his veins knocking in his flesh, Geva got up, and looked at the place where they'd come from.

The man had fired them, that was for sure. Rage and anger flowed freely through him, as he kept looking at Arthur. Knowing the risks, Geva didn't attacked. Instead, he had other things on his mind, getting the information he needed for example.

The temple was only a few feet away, should he go there now, or finish the man that tried to prevent him from entering the temple? The man could fire another pair of those beams, and a next blow, could be fatal.

Man-to-man combat was to dangerous now, but magic was another story. Laughing of that thought, Geva began to fire electric balls at Arthur, to kill him or to drive him away from the temple.

Re: The runeblade (anyone)

Pain shot up Arthur's legs as his whole frame was blasted head first into the ground and his claymore flew into the ground and dug itself into the earth. He swore loudly as a burn was acheived in his lower stomach and scrambled himself to his numbing feet. He retreived his discarded sword with an unwieldly yell and forced himself forward again with his enduring mind. His lip bleeding and the feeling of several fractures, he found himself breaking into a desperate run as his opponent found himself at the doorstep of the temple. He dismissed his sudden panic and asessed the situation carefully. He then all of a sudden broke into a lunge and found himself grabbing the cloth of his assailant. They struggled upon the stone steps of the building as they scraped themselves and exchanged blows with their fits, ignoring their fallen swords. As they broke into fits on insults at each other, they found themselves bruised beyond beleif. Arthur began to make his way towards his own sword, clasping his battered ribs and desperately needed his prized weapon.

Re: The runeblade (anyone)

When Arthur made his way towards his sword, so did Geva. Quickly, Geva rolled and picked the sword the hard ground. Meanwhile, Arthur had retrieved his sword, and he stood ready to attack Geva.

Still tired, Geva could feel his veins knocking in his ears, while the bruises that where caused hurted like hell. No, this wasn't a good situation. Although Arthur seemed to be tired as well, he could take advantage of this situation.

Geva wasn't in his electrical form right now, as he turned back to normal when he wanted to enter temple. Now the temple was a few feet away from him, but as soon as he wanted to enter that temple, Arthur would try to stop him.

He saw no other option, Arthur had to be slain.

With a roar, Geva rushed at Arthur, as his lust for battle flooded freely through his body. When he came in range, Geva stopped, and slashed at Arthur. He blocked the slash, and countered the attack with a vertical slash. It hitted Geva, but he did not payed attention to this, as he tried to pierce Arthur's left shoulder.

Re: The runeblade (anyone)

Blood gushed as the blade slammed forward into the shoulder, courtesy of a sudden swerve by Geva. Arthur gave a high yelp as he clasped it with his free hand and began to withdraw into the temple, placing himself firmly in the way of Geva in that narrow corridor. Geva became immersed in a brutal assult though and Arthur ignored his throbbing wound and used his other hand to defend the passage. Swearing loudly under his breath, he used his own series of jabs but he soon found himself deep in the marble corridor. An attempt in pushing Geva back
would be rendered useless at this point. Metal clanged loudly through the hall as his sores and cuts began to show their effects. Arthur hissed as open wounds began to sting mercilessly. Rage in his eyes, it looked as if he was going to die for this duty. The two exchanged blows with neither gaining the clear advantage
but it looked as if Arthur would only keep losing more and more ground unless he did something drastic. Thoughts of his bow raced through his mind, but he knew he would not be able to loosen the shaft in such conditions. And the pedestal where the Runeblade was only drawing closer and closer.

Re: The runeblade (anyone)

Drawing closer to the Rune blade, Geva could feel it's tremendous power. This blade could compete with Ragnarok, and when he had both sword, he would be unstoppable! But, he had to get the Runeblade first, before he could achieve his goals. The only thing that stopped him from doing so, was Arthur.

There was one problem though, the wounds he had, began to sting. And not just a bit, but like the dark flames of Fûrieh. It seemed that Arthur had the same problems, only had he a wound in his left shoulder. Geva won ground with every slash he used, and he knew that he would retrieve the blade soon.

After two minutes, he could see the blade. It looked like a normal sword, although the blade was black with runes inscriped in it. There was something strange with those runes, only Geva couldn't figure what. Not that he had the chanche, he and Arthur where dealing slashes at eachoter.

Suddenly, the slashing stopped, and the two blades where in a struggle again. Now, Arthur had a tiny disadvantage because he could not use his left hand, but he pushed with all his force against Geva's blade. And Geva did the same.

The wounds of the two warriors began to claim their price, as it was hard for both to maintain this struggle. But the costs where to great for both of them. One for getting his money and keeping his life, the other for getting the Runeblade and keeping his life as well.
