A Matter of Character (Shade)

The sun shone through almost every part of the large city. It reflected off of the windows of large buildings and hit the citizens with blinding force. As it stood in it’s place in the middle of the sky, only alley ways and anything indoors were safe from the glare of the punishing sun. However, the heat of the sun was not enough to so much as slow down the city by a hair. Cars moved quickly along highways, people scurried on the streets to get to their destinations and lights were on everywhere, even though they were obviously not needed.

One man crossing an intersection seemed however, to be drawing more attention than anything else in the area. People would stop on the side of the road and take turns staring at the odd figure wearing a brown over coat and hat. All that could be seen of him other than his hat and coat seemed to be his black pants and shoes, for he had himself rapped tightly in the coat. In his hands he held a map, which he opened as he continued to walk across street after street. The map was of the city, and one area of it was circled with black marker. The figure looked at the map as he reached the end of one street and took a left turn. With each step he took his pace increased slightly but surely until he looked like he could have been sprinting.

As the figure approached one particularly tall sky scraper some eyes flew away from him as he looked around suspiciously, he suddenly swung his brown coat over his shoulder revealing a strange creature. The figure had oddly coloured white skin and pointed ears, much unlike those of a human. He wore a tattered black shirt covered by a grey vest. He had black leather gloves over his fingers which were mostly likely what most people found scary about his appearance.

As Karaza approached the tall building, the over coat still hanging on his shoulder, black bags could be seen forming under his eyes, giving his white, normally calm face, flawed features. He had been awake for the past three days for multiple reasons. He had needed to find multiple maps in order to find this building, but in order to pin point it’s location, he had had to do break into people’s houses to use their computers; something he was not proud of, but he knew had to be done.

As he walked into the main building of activity for Immortal Eye Ltd. He saw that the lobby was pretty much empty. The floor was made of an expensive looking stone, most likely marble, and was polished to shine unforgivingly. There were large windows on both the left and right side of the room and a desk in the middle which sat a man wearing an odd blue suit. At the back of the room, there were several elevators and a hallway on both the left and right side of the wall.

Karaza walked slowly towards the man sitting at the desk in the middle of the large room. The man looked at him oddly as he approached the desk bit by bit with an estranged look on his face, almost as if a person missing a body part had entered the room. As Karaza reached the desk, the man shook his head violently and tried to make a fake smile appear on his face, but to no avail, he looked like he had swallowed a rotten lemon. He attempted to ask Karaza kindly what he needed, but didn’t get far before Karaza grabbed him by the neck and was holding him over the desk, as he did so he blinked his eyes in an odd way and every security camera in the room exploded as if by magic.

As the man gasped for air Karaza’s grip on his neck tightened, his face was completely void of any expression, especially remorse. “Where is, Takajima?” Karaza was now breathing almost as heavily as the man. Karaza realized that the man couldn’t talk whilst he was holding him like he was, but he was hesitant to release him. When he did the man fell on the desk and papers fell to the floor and a cup of dark coffee also hit the floor. He slid off the desk and onto the floor, he then pushed away form the ground with his legs as if to run away, but his back merely pressed against the desk.

The man realized he had no where to go and seemed completely petrified of Karaza. “Ok, ok, please don’t hurt me,” the man stalled. Karaza extended his claws and moved slowly towards the man. “Ok, his office is on the twenty first floor. But he contacted me from a different room on a different level earlier.” the man began to stand up but Karaza signalled him to sit back down.

“Which one?” Karaza voice was shaky, but got the point across quite well. He was pissed, and the guard must have understood that because he quickly told Karaza that the call had been ID blocked and that there was no possible way to tell. Karaza jerked his hands towards the man, but could tell that he was telling the truth. As he started to walk slowly towards the elevator, he heard the man get up and scurry towards the door and bump into the glass contraption that they called a door on the way out. He repressed a laugh and continued to the elevator. He was surprised guards had not come running out to greet him yet since he had destroyed the cameras.

As he got into the elevator he realized that he had almost no idea where to go next. He stepped inside and decided it would be best to make his way to Takajima’s office on the twenty first floor. “Hold on Khana,” he said gently as the door of the large metal box closed. “I’m coming to save you.”

OoC: Meh, crappy title. It's all I could think of. Anyway, shall we continue? I suspect you'll introduce Khamarl? Also, Karaza's going to be fighting better in this fight than in our previous one because he's like super determined.

Re: A Matter of Character (Shade)

OoC: Heh, I love the way this is shaping up. As you know, Khamarl will be the primary opponent, but Zone and Vector will make an appearance, perhaps even the heads of the company shall be involved. It will be SO awesome...keep in mind Khamarl has no reproductive organs, so him walking around naked really isn't indecent exposure.

BiC:

Earlier…

A creature stirs in it's containment chamber, the light green fluids that it was submerged making light bubbles as it reluctantly opens it's eyes. As usual, the lanky fellow in the labcoat was staring at him like he was a marvel, just as he did last night, when it was first born. Then it was only the size of a toddler, but now...

The experiment waited, and just like it expected, the cooling, brilliant liquid began to drain away.

No…Damn you...put it back... He thought as the tubes attached to his body loosened and fell off. As the last of the fluid drained away, Khamarl's cold feet finally touched the lukewarm, slippery texture of the floor, and he began to breathe in the air using his own lungs again. He then stretched, and slumped over as he walked out of the chamber, naked.

He blankly stared at the Doctor, waiting for his command, just like he was programmed to do. Takajima seemed much more calm then the last time they saw each other, instead of scalp dripping sweat and reddened eyes, he seemed rather merry.

"Good morning, Khamarl. You do remember that to be what I named you, correct? No mental errors?"

"No complications, I remember, doctor. I do hope whatever you'll have me do, it can be done quickly."

"Oh, so you like being submerged, eh? Those chemicals are specifically designed for you and you alone. It heals your wounds, and makes your body run at twice the efficency, so you are at perfect conditioning.”

“Whatever you say, Doctor. What will you have me do?”

“It’s time for the final training lesson. Follow me, like you did yesterday.” The two odd-looking figures slowly stepped across the cold metal floor, causing a cocophany of light echoes to ring out through the vast lab. The creator and his creation entered a tall, thin metal door that opened by separating into two parts, which locked behind them. The man in the white labcoat bearing the nametag of Lead Scientist then strode into a door to his left, which separated diagonally as it opened upon his approach, locking just like the one before it. The room that the experiment was standing in now was plain and white, a color that matched most of the rest of the underground facility.

The white wall on Khamarl’s left suddenly turned blue, and he could see Takajima through it. Khamarl nodded to the doctor, and decided he would give himself a lookover, to make sure he hadn’t somehow mutated without his notice. He placed both hands on his shaggy black hair, the unusual streaks of bright gold showing through the coarse mess. After this, he touched the ends of his strange, pointed ears, moving then to touching his chest to assure it was still strong. His muscles were like tightly wound coils. He then looked at his pale hands, pulling at the slightly elastic flesh. He had just finished checking his face when the doctor gave him a thumbs-up, and the blue wall became white again, then the entire room began to change scenery.

It was so sudden that Khamarl closed his eyes, and when he opened them, he was looking at a lush forest. Right after, a large furry beast appeared as if from nowhere. Khamarl understood it to be a bear, but how he didn’t know. He was sure now that he had to defeat it. He lunged at the large hulky creature, which had started to growl, it’s nostrils haughtily flaring and lips moving upwards as it raised it’s claws to attack. The bio weapon stared at the obviously inferior creature as he focused his mind on the bear, then released some of his frustration of being awakened on it’s chest in one fleeting moment.

The bear was hit by a seemingly invisible force as it flew back, slamming against the wall that was helping to maintain the illusion of forest scenery. The tall replicant then reached one arm at the bear from a distance, his long black nails glimmering from the golden streaks that vertically traced them. The nails, exactly like the one’s that bore the DNA that created this entity, began to grow out. Unlike the predecessors, however, the nails began to curve flexibly, tearing into the meat of the creature. It grunted loudly in pain as the nails penetrated it’s stomach. Then he used his other hand’s razor sharp nails, slicing at the creature steadily, fueling his rage further at how something so weak should be allowed to live so freely.

Dr. Tsuuka Takajima watched with fascination and a little horror through the two-way triple-enforced translucent wall as his creation tore into the mechanical animal, the fake blood splaying the walls.

…Is that much agression typical in this species? I can see how Zone and Vector could have had some trouble getting the specimen…perhaps using the hologram technology to heighten the realism of the bear was a little much, if not ingenius…My GOD! He’s tearing the room apart!

The experiment had gone savage. The blood coated his perfect physique, and he had barely broken a sweat. He was sending psychic blasts in all directions, knocking the walls in as he dug his claws into the metal floor. The scientist cautiously stepped out of the door, and spoke to the awesome monster of his design, the fruit of one of his many rapes of nature.

“Khamarl, calm down. You’ve passed.”

He now looked more menacing than ever, his black eyes, which were speckled with gold, glimmered with rage as he stared down Tsuuka, who was unusually unruffled considering the situation.

“…you’ve passed.” The man-made life form then glanced at the room, and it was white again, but a good portion of it was a fading red, slowly turning black. He began to calm down. The genius scientist then strode out of the room, returning with a bundle of white clothing.

“Put those on. I made you resistant to most illnesses, but you can never be too careful. I’ll help you with the shirt.”

A minute later, Khamarl was wearing a white strait-jacket, and a pair of black pants. Takajima then led him to his quarters, where he had a strange black box with a screen that Khamarl somehow realized was a television. The doctor offered Khamarl the option to have him change the channel until he found something interesting, but he declined, and the replication simply tore free of his bonds without a second thought as soon as the door closed and airlocked behind him.

Another scientist wearing the nametag of assisstant scientist brought Khamarl his food, and introduced himself.

“I am Kunishiro Mugeki.” He said humbly as he placed the platter of steaming steak and shrimp on the small white table in the center of the room. Takajima always made sure his experiments were well-fed. Khamarl inquired him why he wasn’t adrift in the wondrous fluid right right now. Kunishiro readily told him that the chamber required a full 12 hours to refill, so he and the doctor would be very obliged if he could wait until it was ready. The kindly man left with a casual farewell as he went to feed the strange girl that Takajima said was part of his experiment. She was lying on a metal bed to the right of the room, metal bonds holding her in place, her chain no longer around her neck, a frightened look on her face as Mugeki entered her room, asking only a single question before the door locked behind him.

“What is he going to do with me, doctor?” She asked shakily.

“Bait, child. He won’t be satisfied until he has both of you, so he can experiment as much as his heart desires. Immortal Eye needs an army, you know. Wars are bound to happen, and we need to assert ourselves that no government shall hold us down. We have so many buildings dispersed across the globe, and we own so many cities now that it’s only a matter of time before our dealings come to light.”

The present time…

As Karaza entered the office floor of what he knew to be Khana’s captor, He blew up another camera using his telekinesis. He walked up to the wooden door of the office, and used his keen ears to seek out any noises of anyone who could be waiting inside. He heard nothing. He glanced behind him, the door to the main elevator still standing open, a glass wall in place on the side opposite the door to allow employees to gaze out at the city. Paranoid, the one of unknown race leaned against the corner of the wall, out of the sight of the anyone who might try to ambush him by rushing through that door.

He then motioned his hand as if turning something while thinking about the knob, and it slowly creaked open, and he waited for someone to make a noise. Nothing. He thought over it a long while, and sent a psychic blast at the door, blowing it straight off the hinges into the wall of the room behind it. He then warily paced into the room, and waited for a trap to spring. All he saw was a small desk, with a laptop oddly positioned on the desk, as if someone knew exactly what he was going to do.

The laptop was closed, and Karaza opened it. There was a smiley face that resembled Karaza, and it’s tongue was protruding out of it’s mouth. The portable computer played a shrill baby’s giggle, then the screen went black. He hadn’t realized that as he came into the room, the elevator had gone down, but sure enough, he heard a clear bleep as the door opened, a man wearing a blue jacket with a mop clasped in his hand stepped out. It was easy to see that there was a long labcoat under this, and Karaza easily knew who this man was. He rushed at the man in a split-second, his nails extending as he sliced into the chest of this janitor impersonator. Instead of bleeding, Karaza felt cold metal on his nails. The face of the man quickly shifted, his hair turning green in a fashion that was long on one side, and short on the other.

“You…”

“Yes, me. Takajima was right, it WAS fun...” The android said, a rather cold, yet somehow playful look on his face. Karaza reached to slice Zone in the face with his other claw, but Zone flipped backwards, using his immense weight to throw Karaza over his head, his claws sliding out of the android’s chest. Karaza managed to land on his feet in the open elevator, but he was surprised from behind as a force struck the glass behind him, narrowly dodging a small missle, which Zone sidestepped, then grabbed the back of it, turning it back at Karaza. The expected visitor countered this with a psychic attempt to slow the missle down, to give him time to jump out of the way as it struck one wall, causing a rather large explosion.

“Ah, our old friend. It’s no wonder he came back, considering I nabbed his little girlfriend.”

"Shut your mouth, you lifeless piece of garbage!"

"Oh, progressed to name-calling, have we?"

OoC: whew, I think I set the story straight. And if you didn’t know, this Immortal Eye is in Tokyo.

Re: A Matter of Character (Shade)

OoC: I can't understand why, but this is going to look really crappy. It's probably because I don't understand the terrain. Meh.

BiC: As Karaza ran towards Zone, he could hear Vector approaching from behind him, but he didn’t stop, he kept moving quickly towards Zone. “Name calling,” he let out a small, forced chuckle. “I thought that’s what you would prefer me to call you. It sounds much more pleasant than other things that come to mind.” as he finished speaking, he jumped towards Zone, who was now standing in front of the door he had just exited. As he drew closer, Zone attempted to move out of the way, but Karaza accelerated his molecules so that he came down on Zone with great force and speed. As the two landed on the checkered floor of the hallway, Karaza surprisingly didn’t cease acceleration. He kept speeding up and continuously punched Zone in the face with great speed, and despite his efforts, Zone couldn’t shake him off.

“Brother!” the voice of the second android was now closer than before and as his words ceased Karaza felt something grip his shoulder and in a matter of seconds he was lying on the floor at the other end of the hall . Vector was now standing by Zone who was repairing minor damage to his face. Vector had thrown Karaza across the room and cancelled his acceleration. Karaza stood up slowly and looked behind him quickly. Directly behind him was a window and through it Karaza saw that the ground was indeed a long way down. As he turned around he heard a click and he knew instantly what was going to happen. Before he could react he felt something heavy moving very quickly hit him in the chest. As it pushed him along he felt his back hit and break the glass. The explosion happened so quickly that he couldn’t control it; first there was extreme heat followed by a strange sensation and then a large impact on Karaza’s back.

“Damn them.” Karaza said as he stood up slowly. He was once more on ground level in front of the Immortal eye building, the entrance to the building stood in front of him. As he looked up, he had to cover his face as to not be hit by many a falling piece of glass. He cussed once more under his breath and then ran towards the wall of the building. Using the aid of his telekinesis he found himself able to scale the wall without any other means of aid. The wall itself was made out of some sort of stone, it was almost flat but still partly rough. It didn’t take him long to reach the level of the building he was at before and he slipped himself through the window, ignoring the pain that the rocket had brought him. As he stepped firmly back onto the building, Vector and Zone still awaited him, only they seemed surprised that he had not used the elevator, which they had been expecting him to use.

Zone attempted to speak, “Well well,” but he stopped slowly as he saw Karaza making a funny movement with his arms. He was putting them directly in front of him and they were fully erect. As the two androids looked on, it seemed that although one of them knew what was coming, neither knew how to react. As the air around Karaza’s cupped hands started deforming and moving rapidly, as if it was bulging, Zone started again. “FOOL! You’re insane! If you fire that in here, you could bring the entire floor crashing down.” Karaza smiled as the vast amount of concentrated energy formed inside his hands. He knew that firing could bring the floor down, but he didn’t really care. Any human in the area would be killed, but that wasn’t his concern, he knew Khana could survive and that was all that mattered to him now. As he prepared to fire though, he thought about the people he could hurt, and he paused for a second. True he didn’t care about them, but was it his place to decide wether they should live or not?

Karaza removed his hands from their position and the vast amount of energy fleeted. “I won’t do it. I may not care, but I’m not heartless. I’m not you.” as he finished, one of Vector’s compartments opened and he drew a small object and threw it towards Karaza. He looked down at the small grenade and didn’t have time to react before it went off. It didn’t harm him, for it was only a smoke grenade, but it did diminish his sight. As a result, he couldn’t see the androids movements. As he struggled in the dark he saw Zone emerge in the smoke. As the android’s foot hit Karaza’s chest he felt the familiar feeling of being sent through a window, only this time there was no glass to shatter. Luckily Karaza managed to grab onto the ledge of the window, and as the smoke cleared he saw Zone stick his head out the window to check if he had survived the fall. Karaza’s leg soared up towards the android’s face and made contact. With one swift motion Karaza landed back inside the building and on top of Zone, who now lay on the floor.

“Persistent whelp,” Vector yelled as he rushed to Zone’s aid. “Why won’t you just die?!?” as he yelled this Karaza drew his claws and pierced Zone’s eyes as he had once done before and kicked off his chest so that he soared above Vector’s head. As he passed above the android, Karaza grabbed his blue head and threw him towards the door. He hit the side of the wall with great force and took out a part of it. He stood back up and looked at Karaza, who had not yet noticed that Zone was behind him and completely healed.

OoC: Your turn.

Re: A Matter of Character (Shade)

For their next move, the two machines speedily attacked Karaza at the same time, Vector slamming into him while Zone stabbed him in the side, a very painful move. Zone continued to dig his claws into his foe, while Vector exerted the weight of his body as he pressed against Karaza, causing the nails to dig in deeper.

Karaza exploded with a wave of psychic force, sending the two flying away from him in opposing directions, causing them to slam into the shiny tile floor. Shortly after, both of them rose, and Zone sent out a blast of magnetism, which caught Karaza in the chest. He waited for something to happen, seemingly ready for anything. In a split second, a large, metal rectangular box burst through the wall behind Karaza, pinning him to the wall.

Zone laughed as he observed the object continuing to exert magnetic force, pushing Karaza even harder as it got stronger. Vector found this hilarious, just as the wounds on Karaza's sides began to heal, he started a very life-like cackle. The android then walked over to the other side of the shape, and a light shone as he opened something on the other side. He was holding a vial, and the thing pinning the warrior to the wall was a steel refrigerating unit.

Vector prepared to pour the vial over Karaza's head, but when he approached, Karaza shattered it with another psychic blast, the chemicals spilling all over the android's arm. However, it had no effect on him, so the blue-haired machine became agitated.

Meanwhile, in the lower reaches of Takajima's subterranean laboratory...

"Khamarl, my child...It seems like you get to have another test run...against another of your kind."

The doctor said this as he went over a few things on a clipboard, scratching out things of importance that he needed to do or accomplish. The creature in the strait-jacket seemed intrigued, and stood to his feet.

"Another of my species?"

"Indeed. He seems to have located our building, and is currently fighting my androids."

"I would enjoy testing my skills against him...when may I attack him?"

"All in good time. I want to wait it out a little, make it suspenseful for him, since it will be his last adventure. He'll be stuck in here forever with subject B, giving me DNA samples.

"Subject B?"

"Another of your species, but is currently being held in a cell."

"Hmm...Okay, then as you command, I shall wait until the time to strike."

"I knew you would make the right decision."

Back at Takajima's Office Floor...

Vector ran at Karaza head-on, his fake hair flying backwards as he attacked. Karazalunged out of the way, but the android caught his arm, slamming a super-strong fist into the black-haired one's forearm, and a disgusting crackle was heard upon impact, as the muscles were mangled, and the bone cracked a bit.

Karaza looked surprised, and had a look of pain on his face as Zone finished the attack by kicking him in the face with his heavy metal foot.

OoC: A sort of lack-luster post.

Re: A Matter of Character (Shade)

OoC- Sorry it took so long for me to reply, but it seems I might actually have a life after all. Meh, who knew?

BiC- A loud crack filled the halls as Karaza landed on the ground. As he stood up quickly to retaliate his arm looked as if it could fall off at any moment. Silver blood covered it and it looked like someone had twisted it completely around in a very pain fashion. As Zone used his emotion simulator to smile wickedly his face changed with a sudden urge as he heard Karaza’s bone snap back into place. When he looked at Karaza’s arm he could see that it was shaking uncontrollably, but it now looked like it was back in the right place.

The android’s artificial nose curled and his brother looked at him oddly. As Zone took another step towards his foe he spoke calmly, “That’s an interesting little technique you have there, “bone shredding” I believe it was called. Karaza, that’s what’s interesting about you; you never really have your own style, do you? You just mix them all together.” he said this with a chuckle and then he charged at Karaza with an almost pleasant smile on his face.

What’s going on with you brother? Going soft are you?” Vector thought to himself as Zone’s elbow crashed into Karaza, thus sending him flying into the white wall behind him. He looked at his brother. “Could your emotional simulator really be that defected?” he asked himself as if Zone could hear him.

Karaza stood up and walked slowly away from the bruised wall, but instead of heading towards the androids he dashed suddenly for the closest room. When he entered it he saw that was a rather large office. Inside was a desk with many papers on it in, a chair behind the desk, large windows, several plants, a mirror built into the wall and a fire extinguisher built into a glass case in the wall.

The androids awaited Karaza’s return from the room, but it never came. They waited for thirty seconds but no matter how hard they stared at the door no one exited it. As vector made his way towards the door he spun around quicky when he heard a large crash. Karaza had come crashing out of the ceiling and was now on top of Zone with his claws piercing his chest. Vector quickly ran to his brother’s aid but as he approached he saw something red fall from the ceiling. He tried vigorously to stop the telekinetic fire extinguisher from spraying him, but the thick fluid hit him hard in the face and obstructed his vision.

Karaza jumped off of Zone with a sickening smile on his face. “You toaster ovens picked the wrong person’s friend to kidnap.” as he finished speaking he heard a faint click coming from Vector’s direction. Since he knew what was coming, Karaza quickly sped up his molecules thus slowing down time around him just enough to see the bullet coming. As it approached him slowly he dashed and grabbed onto Zone. The bullet from Vector’s minigun hit Zone’s metallic chest and a clinking of metal ran through the abandoned hallway.

In a split second Karaza felt himself being thrown upside down into the air. As he twirled in the air he saw that Zone had recovered from his claws and he had thrown him over his shoulder. As he tried to focus on the bullet wound that Vector had inflicted to Zone, a pain suddenly found it’s way to his left shoulder. As he hit the ground he saw Vector standing above him with a mingun still trying to wipe off the extinguisher fluid from his face,

“My brother might not want to finish you,” Vector started. Zone looked at him oddly and then he shook his head to signal that Vector was wrong, but he continued, “but I’m not. The doctor said that even if we have to kill you he can still preserve you and study you. Even if you do die completely we’ve still got you’re girlfriend. She’ll just have to withstand double the torture.” he finished by curling his lips into a mocking smile. Karaza closed his eyes and Vector raised his heavy, metal foot. As he thrusted it downwards he felt another force push against it. He looked down to find that Karaza’s foot had raised to block his own . He drew his foot back and then looked at the creature lying on the ground with his eyes closed. Before he could jump back he saw Karaza kick off the ground and within half a second he was lying on the ground ten feet away from Karaza.

Zone looked at his brother with a look of concern as Karaza opened his eyes. “Brother, be careful, his stats are beyond the capability of my readings. From what I can tell, every single one of his emotions is going into a frenzy for control. He’s gone berserk!” and sure enough; Karaza’s black pupils had disappeared completely. Vector looked at him with wide eyes from the ground.

“No way brother, that’s not possible,” he argued. “Last time his levels were this high he lost all of his energy within ten seconds, but his energy isn’t even diminishing, it’s increasing!” Karaza looked at Vector and then back at Zone, and before either could react, a blur filled the room and a hole seemingly punched itself open ten times every second in each android. After a few seconds Karaza appeared back in the middle of the room, this time breathing heavily. Zone quickly started healing his wounds and after seeing this action Vector did the same.

This went on for a few seconds and both androids suddenly looked up slowly as pulses of energy flew silently through the room. Within ten seconds of the first pulse Karaza started floating in the air as if by magic, but it didn’t seem like he was doing it because it looked as if he was fighting the very air around him. As he dangled there in the air, a massive pulse of energy suddenly threw itself from Karaza’s body and crashed into everything around. Walls cracked under the immense pressure and windows shattered. Small pieces of floor crumbled and parts of the ceiling collapsed. The androids looked around as dust cleared. Both were completely unharmed from the massive blast.

“Brother, the pulse, it didn’t hit us.” Vector said suspiciously. “Do you think the odd creature could have protected us from his own attack?” the android looked to his brother who had a confused look on his face.

Zone licked his lips as he snapped out of the gaze. “No, he couldn’t have, he wouldn’t have, it must have been one of the doctor’s inventions that protected us.” Zone said in a less than assured voice. “It couldn’t have been him, he wouldn’t have, he’s no different from anyone else.” he thought silently to himself as Karaza dropped out of the air and onto one knee, now breathing more heavily than ever. His eyes now had black pupils again and his face showed no emotion whatsoever. As he stood weakly to his feet Karaza saw that the androids were now approaching him once more.

OoC- Not the greatest post I've ever made, but I hope it'll do.

Re: A Matter of Character (Shade)

Khamarl sat in the small, white room staring at the television, seeing the odd humans like the doctor doing ridiculous things, and laughing like fools. This didn't interest him in the slightest, but he was only half-watching. What he had just done was perform a small experimentation of his powers. he had sensed the prescence of a strange mind in Immortal Eye, one with strange power like his own. he had focused his telekinetic power around the being like a bubble as soon as it began to exert it's power, which gave him a small bit of amusement.

"I can't wait to fight him face-to-face...."

Zone and Vector sprinted at the unknown breed, who grew out his long nails and gave a kind of warning to them by clicking them together. The mechanized humans saw Karaza close his eyes and felt themselves being pushed towards him. They tried to step back, and Karaza had to exert considerable force to lift their heavy bodies at him with simply his telekinesis. He focused with an intense burst of mental strength, and they flew at him. He then artfully raised his claws, and mpaled them both through the chest by lengthening his nails just as he use telekinesis to push them forward.

They both released a type of angry metallic scream, sending two fists and the thick barrel of a minigun into his face at once, sending a spray of silvery blood to release from his nose and mouth, which dissolved into mist upon contact of the ground. Karaza held his face as he shakily maintained a standing position, but then placed his hand to the floor to keep him steady. While he did that, he heard the mechanical whirring of a minigun as it sent a barrage of bullets into Karaza's stomach and legs, and he fell flat on his face, and while Vector attempted to lower the heavy minigun to finish Karaza off, another foreign shockwave of psychic energy was borne into existence, knocking Vector off of his feet.

The clone of Karaza and Khana's DNA smiled as Mugeki opened his door, nodding and telling him it was time. His strait jacket's long sleeves noisily slapped against him as he formally stepped out of the room, and headed out into the elevator, which he somehow knew to use. The secret elevator silently rose to Takajima's office, and Khamarl began whistling a dirge.

OoC- Sorry it's so short.

Re: A Matter of Character (Shade)

Karaza jumped into the air quickly to avoid another minigun shot aimed at his lower body. As he landed Zone shot forward at him and his elbow connected with his stomach. The result was that Karaza was sent flying back quite a few feet into the wall just beneath a shattered window. He stood up quickly using his arms’ force as a boost and dodged another shot from Vector’s firearm. As the bullet connected with the wall behind him he jump and leaped over Zone, who had been attempting to spin kick him at the time, and made his way to Vector. The android raised the gun, but Karaza threw his arm in one direction and the weapon flew out of the androids hand as if it had been hit by a non existent hand.

As Karaza’s foot came into contact with a clump of blue hair he heard the echo of Zone’s footsteps behind him and he twirled around with his foot still raised. When he hit Zone and the android’s feet slipped off the ground. Karaza then lowered himself and put one hand on the ground. Another kick to the stomach sent Zone flying towards a cracked window, but he grabbed onto a metal post and stopped himself from exiting the building.

As Zone landed back on solid ground, Karaza spoke with an angry tone, “Where is Khana! If you hurt her, I’ll bring this whole building down with you two inside.” his question sounded very demanding, as if he knew exactly what he wanted and why he wanted it. Vector was now retrieving his minigun and storing it in a compartment in his body, and Zone was now back on his feet and polishing off the dust from his shirt.

Vector opened his mouth to speak, but Zone beat him to it, “Don’t worry Karaza,” he said in a calm, taunting voice. “You’ll soon be reunited with your little girlfriend, too bad you’ll both be in stasis for the rest of your lives.” he used his artificial emotion generator to smile, but it looked somewhat less wicked than it had before, as if he was becoming less determined to fight. Vector looked again at his brother with widened eyes, but neither Karaza nor Zone seemed to notice.

Vector looked once more like he was going to speak, but once again he was cut off when the sound of an elevator bell rang through the halls. As it did, Karaza looked at the androids, seemingly afraid that the ringing signalled reinforcements, but nothing came for several minutes. It was odd; throughout the times that Karaza was waiting for something to happen, neither of the androids spoke, attacked, or even moved. They just stood, almost completely inanimate waiting with Karaza for something to happen, but they both seemed to have smiled on their faces. After a few minutes both Zone and Vector starting moving again and they went towards the door that had Takajima’s name on it. Karaza didn’t bother going after them, but as they entered, another being exited.

Karaza squinted his eyes to make out every detail of this new figure. A male that seemed to look about the same age as Karaza, only he looked more maniacal. He had pale skin, it almost matched the white of Karaza’s. He was wearing what looked like a ruined straight jacket, the kind they use in asylums. He had light grey pants that almost matched his odd upper body choice of garment. His hair was dark like Karaza’s, but it had traces of gold that made it look more alive. His eyes matched his hair as they were also gold and black.

The being spoke, and his voice sounded oddly familiar to Karaza, as if he had heard it somewhere else recently. “You are the other of my species?” these words hit Karaza in the stomach and made his insides do flips, even though he didn’t show it. Karaza didn’t know what he was, and all he knew was that he and Khana were of the same race. He had never known wether or not there were more of people like him, or if they were the only two, but hearing this odd creature say this made him wonder silently. The being spoke again, “I am Khamarl, and the doctor ordered me to fight and render you unconscious to him.”

As this Khamarl character stepped out of the office Karaza heard another beep of the elevator, and this told him that the androids had gone. “So, the infamous Takajima has sent another to apprehend me? Did he not think his little toaster ovens could do the job?” Karaza paused slightly and then looked Khamarl over. “Well, at least now he’s sending living beings to face me.” as he finished speaking he shot forward at Khamarl with great speed, intending to hit him in the stomach. But as he approached his new opponent, he moved quickly out of the way by slide stepping whilst being low to the ground. As Karaza tried to turn around swiftly, he felt something pierce his stomach and he let out a cry of pain.

He pierced my stomach?!?” he thought as he looked down. Khamarl had indeed shot his hand directly through Karaza’s upper body. Khamarl seem completely uninvolved. His face was blank, it hadn’t changed since he had spoke. Karaza let out another gasp of pain and then used telekinesis to push his foe away, thus removing his body part from his stomach. He waited a few moments for his wound to heal, and oddly enough, Khamarl didn’t attack him in this time, he just stood patiently and waited. He seemed to be acting surprisingly like Karaza would in a fight.

Karaza took a deep breath and pushed back some anger, he then shot at Khamarl as he had done only a few moments ago. This time however, as he approached he jumped up hoping to attack from above, but his opponent jerked his head in Karaza’s direction and grabbed his arm. Karaza then felt a change in trajectory. He felt his back hit a wall with great force. He tried to stand up, but Khamarl was still grasping his arm tightly and it made it almost impossible for him to stand up. He fell slowly back onto his stomach and before he could stop it he felt his foe’s foot come down on his stomach. Before he could figure out what was happening he felt unbelievable pain in his arm that Khamarl was holding, and withing three seconds, that pain multiplied dramatically.

“You’re no fun to play with. Nothing more amusing than the doctor’s protocol test simulations.” the being said, clutching Karaza’s severed arm in his hand. Karaza coughed up a few mouth fulls of silver blood, which evaporated once they touched the ground, and then looked at his right shoulder. Where once there had been an arm, there now lay a pool of swirling silver blood and black gas. Khamarl had torn his arm off! He stood up breathing very heavily. He looked at Khamarl who was now walking steadily backwards towards the hall window, amazed at his strength.

The being smiled. “Well, there’s no need for this anymore.” and he tossed Karaza’s bloody arm out the window. He laughed lowly, as if he didn’t want to seem happy, and then he looked on with a calm, but surprise filled expression as a glittery dust flocked through the window. The odd sparkling substance flew over to Karaza’s shoulder, where the arm had been, and there was then a small flash of light. When the light cleared Karaza’s arm was back in it’s place, and aside from being completely covered in blood, it seemed to be back to normal. Khamarl looked on, his face void of any emotion, and awaited Karaza’s next move.

OoC- I hope that was ok. I wasn't really sure if he was acting the correct way, so I figured I'd just judge his personality by your next post, if that's okay with you. Oh yeah, I also think that Khamarl should be winning dramaticallly for a little while. Karaza shouldn't be able to hit him hor a little while, if that's ok with you. And then later they'll start evening out.

Re: A Matter of Character (Shade)

OoC- Sounds good to me. I haven't done anything truly bloody in a long while, and it's about time.

BiC- Khamarl was bored. Very bored. So bored that the only way he would derive any fun from this weakling was to torment him to the point where he would go into shock. He was slouching now, and his straight jacket's long sleeves made a thin rustling noise as Khamarl raised his arms, just as Karaza began sprinting in his direction. Just before he reached Khamarl, Karaza focused, about to hit Khamarl with a surge of psychic energy...

"What?! Why isn't it--"

Karaza grunted in pain as a rockhard fist collided with his jaw, causing him to topple backwards.

"What's wrong? Why didn't my telekinesis work?!" He thought this to himself amidst all of the fierce, burning pain. Khamarl simply stared down at the wretched, pathetic excuse of a warrior there on the floor. With a ripping noise, two of Khamarl's long nails extended through his overly long sleeves, and he held his fingers downward. In another moment, the nails extended downwards, piercing Karaza's chest in two places, then cutting through the floor beneath that.

Karaza knew if he continued to slice his organs that he would surely die, and with his bare hands, gripped the sides of each of the nails, and began pushing them out of him, ignoring the silver blood dripping from his now bleeding palms. After pushing to a certain extent, he was able to roll, backwards, his regeneration already beginning to work at his butchered stomach.

Khamarl then closed his eyes, and his clothes rippled as if in a harsh wind. Before Karaza could act, he felt a massive surge of telekinetic power gather around him, and in a savage burst, he was blown backwards, colliding with the same broken window that Zone hit earlier, passing out of it and felt himself descending, the cold wind refreshing to his healing wounds. He stopped in mid-fall, and rose back up to the window, gazing in to see where the other of his kind had gone.

A sick feeling filled Karaza at that moment.

He planned this.

As soon as this thought came to his mind, he felt something draining his mental energy, and he began to fall again. He fought against the force of the draining entity, and suddenly realized something: Khamarl was feeding off of his energies. He continued to fall, and prepared to collide with the sidewalk below, seeing as he was being drained too quickly to maintain his flight.

"Is it...over for me? Have I...failed?"

When he was two feet from colliding with the concrete that he had fallen twenty-something stories to reach, and prepared to let the cool darkness overtake him, a sudden, visceral, raw pain formed itself in his back, and then his abdomen, and his descent slowly and painfully ceased. He placed his hands on his stomach, and felt the sharp ridge of Khamarl's nail. If he had been able to look upwards, he would have seen a nail extension longer than Karaza had ever been able to accomplish; Khamarl was looking down from the same window he had before. The black nail, which was striped with electric yellow, was slowly unextending, pulling Karaza upwards in the most excruciating way possible. Silver blood was dripping from Karaza's impaled body and tightly drawn mouth as he rose, and he tried as hard as he could to use his telekinesis, but it was being sapped at the source.

Khamarl was taking all of the pain and psychic power in, a sadistic grin making it's way onto his odd features, and when Karaza reached the window, Khamarl let him slide off of his nail and onto the floor, giving him time to recover some blood and strength. After a while, Karaza stood, and extended his nails, and had a look of pure hate, and disbelief on his face.

"You're sick, you know that?"

"We're all sick."

"Where is Khana?"

"Who is Khana?"

"Don't play stupid."

"Does she...look like us?"

"Yes."

"The answer is yes, then. Where she is, I don't feel like telling." Khamarl suddenly phazed out, and reformed in front of Karaza, kicking him in the stomach, sending his opponent sprawling onto the floor again, sliding a little.

"And, if you wanted to know, she isn't hurt...yet."

Re: A Matter of Character (Shade)

OoC- I’m not sure wether or not you understood, but I’ll post this just to clarify: Karaza and Khana’s inside can regenerate too. You can only kill his organs if you do it before they heal ‘eh? But uh, I’d rather you don’t do that.

BiC- Karaza stood up slowly, his wounds just finishing healing. However, he held his chest for the pain was still unbearable. “Well, I can see that you’re powerful, but I think I can still offer you some advice.” Karaza let go of his chest, and even though he was breathing heavily, he seemed to have regained some confidence. Khamarl looked at him wit an amused look; he wasn’t satisfied, but he was intrigued all the same.

“Oh yeah. What would that advice happen to be?” he said in a very mocking voice, knowing that Karaza knew very well who had the advantage. He looked down at his curled nails, seemingly completely unafraid that Karaza could attack at any moment. Karaza looked on in disgust, never had he faced an opponent who he couldn’t even touch, even the androids had sustained injuries in their battle.

Karaza looked on with highly focussed eyes and answered Khamarl’s question, “The next time you have an opportunity to kill me, I suggest you take.” as he finished, he sped up his molecules and moved quickly towards Khamarl, who seemed to be frozen in time due to Karaza’s new speed. But as Karaza approached him, Khamarl suddenly jumped backwards, kicked off and hit Karaza in the stomach with his nails, which went straight through his stomach once more. As his foe pulled back, Karaza gasped for air.

“You can accelerate too then?” he asked, now almost positive that he and Khamarl were of the same race. His opponent looked at him and shook his head. Karaza mind raced calmly to find the answer, but he could not. As the wounds in his stomach healed, he was surprised once more to see that Khamarl was passing up another opportune moment to strike, it was almost as if he was toying with him.

Khamarl seeped his fingers and then laughed. “No Karaza, not quite,” he said and he continued to play his claws. “You see, with only a claw, the doctor couldn’t have possibly done that, so he just made me extremely fast so that I could match you.” these words that he was saying made no sense to Karaza whatsoever. He had no clue what Khamarl meant, and he didn’t really have time to ponder either, for within seconds after his foe spoke, he felt an odd pain in his head and he instantly stopped accelerating.

What’s happening to me?!?” Karaza thought to himself loudly. He felt rather odd. His mind seemed to be becoming fuzzy, and he found it hard to think or remember anything. It was almost like life was becoming a dream and his memories were fading away. “No! I don’t want to lose anymore! I’ve lost too much of it already!” he thought as he felt it all sliding away.

With everything in his mind becoming increasingly blurry, Karaza found it very difficult to focus on anything, but something in his head was coming out loud and clear, “ I’m going to get you.” came Khamarl’s taunting, scary voice. But it was odd, it was almost as if it was coming from within his head. Karaza realized what was happening and started trying viciously to push Khamarl out of his head. Within seconds, Karaza could feel everything flocking back to him, he could think clearly and all memories that were almost lost came flying back to him.

Khamarl rolled his eyes as Karaza stood up. “Oh well, it’s too bad your mind puts up a better fight than your body does, or this might just have gotten interesting. Well it doesn’t matter, most of your memories have already been erased, so draining your mind would be pointless.” and with these taunting words out in the open, Karaza suddenly cupped his hands. Energy started forming in between them and the air started to bulge and move more rapidly. The energy that Karaza had focussed now was less than the amount the androids had earlier warned him about, but still a large amount. As he released the energy in the form of one, quick moving beam, Khamarl raised one hand.

“Come now Karaza, surely you’re not that eager to die.” Khamarl laughed as the blast of energy started moving towards his hand. It started forming a large ball, but it wasn’t hurting him, it was almost as if Khamarl was taking control of Karaza’ psi. Karaza sighed, for he knew that Khamarl was using telekinesis to turn his own energy against him. Before he could move he felt the large ball of psi hit him in the stomach and send him flying towards the window. The ball faded away as Karaza ceased focussing and he landed back on the ground, just in front of the window. The front of Karaza’s shirt had completely disintegrated under the pressure of the energy.

“What do you say we make this a little more interesting?” Karaza said breathing heavily. Khamarl looked at him, and it was almost as if he knew what he was going to do next. The floor beneath the feet of both Khamarl and Karaza suddenly gave way due to extreme telekinetic force that was being quickly exerted on to it.

When Karaza opened his eyes he saw that he and Khamarl were both now in between the floor and roof of two different floors. They were both standing on large metal bars used in the construction of the building. It was rather dark, the only light coming from the two holes in the ceiling. The many metal bars made the place look almost like a spider web made of bronze. Khamarl had an evil looking expression on his face.

“You want to fight here for a little while, do you?” Khamarl asked Karaza as he looked around. “It seems a little odd, all you’ve done is decrease the light and cancel out extreme foot movement. You don’t think that will save you?” Karaza looked at this being with a calm look and he took a deep breath, now desperate to find something to use against his foe.

OoC- There you go. I really hope I'm doing ok, I don't usually do alot of battling with other people, so, technically, you're the veteran here
