Incident on Spirit Mountain (Ryou)

OoC: Hello out there, this is my first battle so let’s see how I do. By the way this is Rontu’s Profile if anyone is interested to know more about him. Okay, this battle will take place in the middle of a mountain range, I hope you enjoy it  . Oh and don’t worry, an accident occurs causing this group of fighters to get separated, so don’t think Zeek is fighting all of them. That wouldn’t be fair

BiC: Rontu leapt ahead of his group of friends and ducked abruptly behind a large boulder that had, in one point of time, fallen down the mountain. Why these mountains were called, Mountains of Spirit was a wonder to the Dark Elf. These mountains held barely any trees, shrubs, and grass, or at least on this side of the mountains. This was the side that faced the Desert of Suu and it was obviously lacking anything that even whispered the word, spirit.

“Curse these mountains,” Rontu muttered under his breath as he peeked around the side of the boulder to check if there were any enemies waiting for them on the ridged path. Delu is not too far from here and the temperature is already starting to feel like my old home, Rontu’s eyes narrowed even though there was nothing to do so at. Don’t tell me that bastard demon is going to chase us all the way to the desert. His hawk like eyes scanned the lifeless path as he strained his long ears to catch any sounds of movement. A hot breeze swept over Rontu, making the Dark Elf’s long, white hair toss in its tie. The blistering temperatures and the added warm wind made a drop of sweat slid down his black skin and off his chin.

“Slow down, Rontu!” called a female elf, accompanied by four other elves. His young elven friend, Kira, appeared to be twenty-years-old, his age, with short, brown hair and concerned, blue eyes. The elf wore the usual clothing Rontu had always known her to wear: dark blue armor that covered her entire body, making her look very much like a knight. She had a forest-green traveling cloak draped over her shoulders and her long sword’s blue and green hilt peeked over her shoulder.

Following close after was a male elf, though he looked as if he had some human blood in him for he had much more muscle for the normal Wood Elf but Rontu knew these assumptions were incorrect. This man, known to Rontu as Kai, came from an entirely different land and was half Hylian, which is also known as High Elf in Rontu’s land, and half Sheikah, which the Dark Elf had guessed was something close to a human. His shaggy, auburn hair hung around his impassive face as his black eyes rested on Rontu. The half elf wore a dark blue tunic, black, baggy pants, a black trench coat with no sleeves, and a katana was tied to his belt. He was also Rontu’s age.

Next followed a sight that seemed to brighten the arid land around her. She was a young Hylian with long, silver hair that went down to her small waist. Her gentle, emerald-green eyes tenderly fell on the Dark Elf, making him forget everything around him. She wore a short, light gray dress that went down to her knees and was held up by straps, complete with a black belt around her waist. Large, black boots were laced up to her knees and a dark gray traveling coat hung on her slim shoulders. In her left hand she carried a white staff with an emerald poised on top of it. Her sweet features held eighteen years in them. One word rang through Rontu’s mind, Leita.

A loud sound snapped the Dark Elf out of his trance and he was unpleasantly alerted to the next Hylian’s presence. Khaz came stumbling around the corner of the dry path after tripping on a small rock. Rontu rolled his golden eyes, I can’t take him anywhere without out him making noise and alarming enemies to our presence. This elf was only a year younger than the Dark Elf but acted like a fourteen-year-old boy. His jet-black hair stuck out in odd angles and appeared as if it could defy gravity. His midnight-blue eyes stared at its surroundings with curiosity. Khaz brushed the dehydrated soil from his blue tunic that matched the shade of his eyes. It covered his white undershirt that sleeves went to his elbows and hung over his baggy, black pants with a belt tightened around his waist. On his leather belt he carried two medium sized katanas. Hugging his fore arms were two black leather gauntlets.

“Khaz!” snapped Rontu, making the elf jump. “Would you mind not making noise where ever you place your klutzy feet!”

This most certainly was not a question, it was a demand. Khaz scoffed playfully at the Dark Elf’s harsh words. His jaunty smile spilt over his lips.

“Jeez Rontu, what are you so worried about? We lost Nelu on the other side of the mountains a few days ago. Don’t be so jumpy,” piped Khaz.

“And I’m not a klutz!” added the Hylian.

Rontu snorted. “You are over relaxed about this, Khaz,” snapped the Dark Elf. “Nelu could easily track us, we must be extra careful!”

“Fine, Fine!” the Hylian gave in. “As long as it keeps you quiet, I’m sick of your nagging.”

Rontu glowered at the carefree Khaz, who smiled back. Rontu knew he only did so to annoy him even farther.

“By the way,” s******ed Khaz. “Aren’t you like roasting in all that black? It’s like boiling out here.”

Rontu glanced down at his clothes. He wore a black shirt, black pants, and a black trench coat. The Dark Elf was indeed over heating in his black clothing but it was nothing he couldn’t handle.

“I’m used to hot temperatures,” snarled Rontu, turning his back on the Hylian. “I grew up in the desert.”

“That’s right,” said Kira, as a smirk bloomed on her face. “I believe it was the Desert of Suu, located on this side of the Spirit Mountains, isn’t that correct, Rontu?”

The Dark Elf turned his head to growl at the elf and continued down the narrow path without another sound.

“That means ‘yes’ in Rontu Language,” Kira said to the others, loud enough for the Dark Elf to hear. Rontu’s homeland! thought Leita, her green eyes lighting up. I hope we get to see it on this trip. Well, it was not really a trip more like a game of cat and mouse, or mice since there was more than one among their group. Nelu was still out there hunting them…. She suddenly looked to her right to stare down the dangerous cliff below. She doubted they would be able to fight him off in such limited space.

“Will you all hurry up!” snapped Rontu from up the path. His voice echoed around them in the deep raven on the right of the path. Then an abrupt rumbling came to their ears and the ground began to shudder under their feet. The Dark Elf looked up at the mountain peak above them and gasped as he saw thousands of rocks come tumbling down the slop. There was no time to run for it the boulders would crush them before they had a chance. One rock, that size of a large cannon ball, came plummeting at Rontu who dodged down the path towards his friends. The Dark Elf was about to shout to the elves but when a small boulder tumbled a path set on Leita. Rontu gasped as his feet pushed against the hard ground to reach her in time. He managed to knock her out of the way but it came at a painful cost. The boulder smashed into Rontu head on, forcing the Dark Elf over the cliff’s edge. Rontu rolled down the steep slop of the cliff, wisely covering his head with his arms, his body still seething with the pain from the boulder. The rough rocks scraped and tore Rontu’s coat and pants as he tumbled downward. Then there came blinding pain and darkness.

Rontu’s head throbbed painfully, making the Dark Elf’s golden eyes snap open. Shadows surrounded him now but it was not too dark for the star infested sky held up its great moon that was waxing. He sat up slowly groaning at the pain on the back of his skull. His hand went to feel were a bump would surely be and when he drew his hand back it gleamed with a wet substance. Must have hit my head harder than I thought…. The Dark Elf suddenly narrowed his eyes and jumped up to a standing position. With a glove-covered hand he drew out a long katana with a jet-black hilt from inside his trench coat. Someone was there, he could feel it and its eyes that remained fixed on him.

OoC: There you go, I leave you to make your own entrance. Have fun

Re: Incident on Spirit Mountain (Ryou)

Zeek jumped out of the shadows, pulled out his sythe and shot towards Rondu. Rondu took out his katana and blocked the attack and jumped away. "What the hell do you want!" yelled Rontu. Zeek looked at him and shook his head and jumped onto a rock. Rontu growled and threw his katana at Zeek. "Pathetic." said Zeek and he cut a portal above him and jumped into it.

Rontu looked around trying to find him. Another portal ripped open behind him and Zeek shot out of it, faster that the speed of sound, and was about it slash Rontu. Rontu looked at him and ducked down. Zeek missed and was heading to a ledge, so he flipped over and shot off."No more playtime." said Rontu.

He blocked the attack with his katana and started slashing at Zeek. Zeek blocked the attack with his sythe. Rontu kicked Zeeks shin and whacked Zeek in the head with the end of the katana. Zeek stuck out his hand and three black fire balls shot out at Rontu. Rontu looked at the fire balls and dodged them.

Black flames rose. Zeek thought for a second and smiled. He began to shoot fire balls all around them. Later they were surrounded be black flames. "Now there's nowhere for you to run." said Zeek.

Blood and Moon

Rontu snorted indifferently at the man. He was three or so years younger than Rontu. He had no idea to as why this boy was attacking him. He must be one of Nelu’s pets, Rontu concluded. However, that was the least of the Dark Elf’s worries. Though a young man he may be he was a very skilled young man. He stood, smirking at Rontu, obviously pleased with himself that he had encased the Dark Elf in a ring of black fire. Though, Rontu does not take kindly to those who would call him “pathetic”.

“You better get out of my way, boy, I do not wish to spill young blood such as yours,” growled the Dark Elf. The boy snarled at Rontu’s words, he didn’t appear to like being called a boy more than Rontu liked being called pathetic.

“Oh, that’s fresh,” snapped the boy, or man which he would prefer. “For a Dark Elf.”

Rontu shot the boy a glare.

“And what do you mean by that?” snarled Rontu. The boy sneered at the Dark Elf’s anger.

“Oh, just that a Dark Elf wouldn’t normally care,” said the boy. “They kill for pleasure, they know no morals.”

“So don’t think you can trick me with that act,” added the boy. Rontu groaned in annoyance and anger. This man was obviously not going to stop until one of them was dead. The Dark Elf had no intentions to kill this man, he was too young to die. But Rontu wasn’t about to give up his life either. Looks like I’ll just have to give him a lesson to remember, thought the Dark Elf. He now took the time to notice the boys appearance. He had a long, black cap with lengthy, dark purple hair pouring out of it. His crimson eyes were fixed on him with a piercing gaze. He had a black shirt that was torn in many places and black, baggy pants, complete with brown boots. In his hands was a very large scythe which looked extremely dangerous. Rontu braced his legs and lifted his katana into an attack position with both hands.

“What’s your name, boy?” he asked, Rontu always liked to know the names of his enemies.

“Zeek. And what’s yours, Dark Elf?” countered the man.

“Rontu.”

“Well, Rontu, I would just like to say,” Zeek paused as he readied his scythe. “Never call me a boy.” And he leapt at Rontu, lifting his scythe as he dashed toward him. Rontu rushed forward to meet him, his katana trailing behind him, gleaming in the moon light. However, Zeek stopped dead and brought up his hand shooting a ball of black fire. The Dark Elf gasped and ducked just in time. The black fire burned the end of Rontu’s ponytail, the Dark Elf cursed under his breath. With blinding speed Zeek slashed at Rontu with his scythe, Rontu attempted to dodge it but it grazed his side, creating another tear in his trench coat. Blood splattered the dry dirt, looking almost black in the night’s shadows. Rontu growled in pain but did not stop to nurse his wound. He swept his sword down across the man’s legs, making his own cut. Zeek gasped and stumbled slightly as his blood joined Rontu’s on the ground. The Dark Elf had a feeling this would continue for a long time.

Summoning of the Great Dark Dragon

Rontu ran to Zeek and slashed at him, but Zeek blocked with his sythe. Rontu stopped slashing and kicked Zeek into the flames. Zeek slashed a portal just in time and flew into it. Another portal ripped open behind the flames and Zeek jumped out. "It's time to summon the great beast." said Zeek walking back and forth. He turned around and raised his sythe. It began to grow. He cut a large portal. There was a loud roar coming from the portal. A large black dragon walked out. Zeek laughed and jumped on to the dragon's back.
(Sorry this part isn't very long or good.)

Feelin' Lucky?

Rontu gaped up at the large, dangerous, and black dragon. He couldn’t help be feel that he was going to die very soon. He had completely underestimated the boy. The Dark Elf gulped down the fear that had clogged his throat. He had never fought a dragon, unless he counted Nottuu but he had been in his elf form then and he hadn’t even stood a chance anyway. No …I can’t die … not now. Not when everything in my life has become meaningful. No, Rontu would not give up until that dragon made his heart come to a complete stop. Zeek smirked down at the Dark Elf.

“So … are you feeling lucky, Rontu?” mocked Zeek. Rontu snarled back in reply, Kira would have said the meant “no” in Rontu Language. Zeek seemed to understand it too, for he let out a s******. Well, if he was going to fight the cursed dragon then Rontu was going to be the first to attack. The Dark Elf let out a war cry full of rage and charged. However, in his mind he thought, Leita … I hope I live to see your face again. The dragon let out a roar and boiling, black flames jetted out of its mouth. Rontu rolled gracefully to the right side and charged again.

He had no idea of how to kill this creature, he knew only two people who had. Link had done so twice but he was the Hero of Time, killing dragons was possibly an easy task for him. The other was Khaz but he was, and still is, insane. Rontu has no idea of how a person like Khaz had gotten Nottuu down on his knees. Nottuu, the Lord of Darkness himself! Of course, there was the fact Khaz was crazy, Rontu meant this literally. This dragon was completely covered in hard scales that, he was sure, his katana could not pierce. But there was nothing protecting its eyes … that was it! The eyes were the weakness of all dragons. However, Rontu was still doubtful of how he was going to get close enough to its head that was full of sharp teeth and a mouth that was shooting fire. He had no choice but to try.

Rontu dodged around many fire attacks coming from the black dragon, with each one he inched closer to it. The dragon didn’t like the distance the Dark Elf was gaining and when Rontu came too close it lashed out with its claws and batted him off to the side like a fly. The claws left deep cuts in Rontu’s chest and he went flying over the ring of black fire into the rocky side of the mountain. He left a dent that crumbled slightly as he fell down to the ground with a loud thud! He remained on the ground for many minutes. The wind had completely been knocked out of him and his back was crackling with pain Rontu has not felt in a long time. He was sure many of his ribs were broken. He could also hear Zeek chuckling with victory as he twisted in agony in the dirt. Zeek was also holding back the dragon, obviously not wanting to finish Rontu off yet. The Dark Elf pushed himself up to his knees, grunting in pain. His black skin and clothes were smudge with the light, powdery soil. He forced himself to his feet and tightened his grip on his katana, trying to ignore the pain that tingled all over his body. Rontu sprinted toward the dragon again, which had stepped over the flames unharmed as if it were mere grass. Again the black creature released its black fire, Rontu dodged it. He continued his attempt of getting closer to the dragon, dash and dodging the black fire that poured from the dragon’s mouth. Again he got too close for the monster’s comfort and it swiped at Rontu, but this time he was prepared. He leapt backward slightly to escape the powerful claws of the beast that grazed the ground making dust fly up into the air. He leapt onto the dragon’s arm and climbed swiftly up to its shoulder before it could understand where the Dark Elf had gone. He reached the place where Zeek sat upon the dragon’s back and leapt up planting a firm kick into the man’s chest that sent him tumbling off the beast’s back. He then did a back flip onto the dragon’s head and drove his katana toward the creature’s crimson eyes, ironicly, the same shade of its master’s eyes. There was another flash of claws in the moon light and Rontu was sent flying off the dragon’s muzzle. It sent a jet of black fire that Rontu was doomed to fall into as he fell.

“Oh no you don’t!” Rontu roared as he threw his katana at it. “I’m taking you with me!” His aim had been true, the long katana sank deeply into the dragon’s right eye and into its brain, making it howling in rage but stop abruptly. It hit the ground sending dust up into the night air and shook the mountain side. Rontu tried his best to roll over to miss the flames but his left arm was licked and kissed by the black fire, making Rontu give a cry. He hit the ground at the same time the dragon did and laid there shortly before turning over to cradle his severely burnt arm. Rontu groaned and tossed in dirt. His sleeve of his trench coat had been burned away up to his elbow and his skin was black and smoking. His red blood oozed out of the cracks of his burned flesh and the smell of it filled his nostrils. Rontu pulled in great gasps of air as he moaned in the agony of his arm, which he no longer could move and only could feel hot throbs and a few sharp tingles. There was a clatter of metal against the ground and Rontu looked up. Zeek stood before him and the Dark Elf’s katana was waiting for him in the dirt, shining with a dark, sticky fluid in the light of the stars and moon.

“Pick it up,” said Zeek, his crimson eyes were tense with not anger but disbelief and respect. Rontu reached forward with his good arm to grasp the black hilt of his katana and pushed himself up to his feet with it like a cane, shaking slightly. His left arm hung limply at his side. The two warriors stared start into each other’s eyes. Rontu was certainly not feeling lucky….

Re: Incident on Spirit Mountain (Ryou)

Zeek walked towards Rontu, still struggling to stand up. Zeek looked at him for a moment. Rontu cracked a smile and jumped up and slashed Zeek in the chest. Zeek gasped for air while blood dripped out. "Who's pathetic now? said Rontu. Zeek looked up at him angrily. Rontu slashed Zeeks arm. "Damn!" yelled Zeek in pain. Rontu spun around and slashed at Zeeks Zeeks eye. Zeek struggled to get up. "Damn you. DAMN YOU!!!!!!" yelled Zeek.

A Merciful Demon

Rontu stood in front of Zeek who continued to struggle to stand. Without his magic this boy doesn’t put up much of a fight, thought Rontu as he stood with his katana in a threatening stance. Rontu has lost the use of his left arm, been smack around by the dragon but he still could best the boy in hand to hand combat. Zeek stared up at Rontu with anger and fear. His life was in the hands of a Dark Elf, a race rumored to be the spawn of an evil demon from long ago, mercy was not found in the blood of demons. Zeek knew this too well and all he could see before him was just that, a demon. The Dark Elf lifted his sword and placed the tip to Zeek’s neck, the cold metal, smeared with blood, barely touching his flesh. Zeek held his breath and waited for his end, his crimson eyes were locked on Rontu’s gold ones. But it never came. The Dark Elf withdrew his katana and said,
“I’ve had enough of you, boy. Get out of here.”
Zeek gaped at Rontu with an open mouth. He isn’t going to kill me? The boy’s gasp only seemed to annoy the Dark Elf for he said,
“Get going! Before I change my mind.”
Zeek didn’t move, he was too shocked. He had put this Dark Elf through incredible pain and toil. This demon was going to let him go? After all of that?
“W-why?” stammered Zeek. He could have sworn he saw the Dark Elf’s gold eyes soften for just a moment.
“I told you before, I do not desire to spill the blood of an innocent. You are a young one at that, you have much to live for,” replied Rontu. “Heh, it’s been a long time since I’ve had such a challenge and I can’t deny that I am surprised it was such a young warrior to given it to me.” Zeek saw those hawk like eyes soften into an almost tender tone. “And … you have been through much I can see that. We are both fighters … and like all warriors in the world and others we have all had our share of a hard life…. Well, I must be going….”
The Dark Elf turned his back to Zeek and began to make his way pass the fallen dragon as he swiped his katana clean with his own trench coat before sliding it back into its sheath. Zeek trembled but finally stood up to watch the Dark Elf leave. Never has he come across a Dark Elf, a demon who would spare his life. He thought Dark Elves did not know the meaning of mercy. But there it was before him, Rontu … the merciful demon.

OoC: Yay! The end of my first battle and I believe it turned out pretty good. Until next time....
