OoC: Do you find being untouchable that fun? Seriously, take a few hits, for God's sake!
BiC: "This isn't good," Blitz said worriedly as they dashed through the tunnel into the next cave. "How many of those artifacts are there?"
"Only seven. Dirk has already obtained the first five."
"Dammit!" he swore loudly. Unused to intense thought, Blitz' mind desperately tried to conjugate a plan. There had to be some way to stop this Zora from unleashing Hell upon the world. If only Drake were here, defeating Dirk would be simple as pie! Not relenting in his mad dash down the seemingly unending tunnel, Blitz turned his head to Tsunami. "I got nothin'. Any ideas?"
She did not respond, but that in itself was a very blatant 'No'.
"We have to fight him," Blitz said detachedly. "We have to trap him in a room, somehow, and take him head-on." His head turned downward slightly, now, as though he were holding back an emotion. "Even if it means killing him. The madness inflicted by those artifacts is too strong for him to overcome. He is weak of body, and that has affected his heart."
"How do you know his strength in his natural state?" Tsunami asked curiously.
"Because the power of a godlike entity would have killed me instantly, were it in the hands of someone strong of mind and body." His eyes briefly turned in her direction. "Trust me, I know."
Though she found the last sentence disturbing, the water spirit decided not to press him. There were more important things to think about than a mysterious swordsman's past. Such as saving the world from impending disaster.
"Look there!" declared Blitz as the tunnel came to an abrupt end, and opened up into a massive, circular room lit with mounted wax candles and lined with gilded pillars. Unlike the rest of the caverns, this room was well defined, as if hollowed from the stone by a master stonemason. Above the center of the room was an extravagant chandelier which would fetch a
very hefty sum at the market. At the head of the room, opposite the tunnel from which Blitz and Tsunami came, was a shrine of some sort. More candles adorned that shrine than hung upon the wall, making the already outstanding golden display the focal point of the entire hollowed room.
And standing at that shrine, before a glass casing which housed a hanging black mantle of insidious design, was Dirk in all his madness. "The sixth..." spoke Dirk quietly. "Soon, Milord, you shall be freed." One armblade rose above the casing dramatically, and came down on the glass. It shattered loudly, falling to the limestone ground in piles. With a mind of its own, the cape lifted itself from the wall, and descended toward Dirk.
"NO!" Blitz shouted, his sword flashing into his hands with lightning speed. Forcing his legs to pound as fast as they could, he rocketed toward Dirk. The Zora saw him coming, and brought up Evil's Twin Armblades to guard against the oncoming attack. But then Blitz did something that Dirk had not expected. Siezing the Apocalyptic Cape from the air, Blitz leapt backward to stand next to Tsunami. Quickly, for he knew Dirk would not stand for the insult, he unclasped his own mantle and tossed it to his comrade. "Take good care of it--a friend gave it to me."
Then, in a mockery only the most competent of fighters would dare attempt, Blitz held the Apocalyptic Cape out to his side, grinning like a maniac. "Tauro."
Dirk's eyes bulged in rage as he shot forward like a lightning bolt. But unfortunately for the Zora, high-speed battles were Blitz' specialty. Just before Dirk's hand grasped the cape, Blitz jerked it away, clasping it to his back in one swift motion.
Tsunami gasped in shock. "No! What have you done?!" she cried, rushing forward to sieze the cape. But as she drew near, Blitz held up a hand and pushed her away.
"Quiet, you fool! You cannot challenge the power of a God!" His eyes began to glow red as he brandished the Supernova sword threateningly. "Stand down, or I shall kill you where you stand." Already, he was being consumed by the madness of the Archangel.
Tsunami backed away in shock. 'No...' she cried in her mind. 'Why would he do such a thing? No one can withstand the madness caused by the artifacts. I cannot fight alone... Surely, we are all doomed.'
Dirk stood by, watching with mild interest. "So we shall contest for the artifacts, then?" he said with a menacing laugh. "So be it!"
"Shut up and die." Blitz tone was cold, devoid of compassion. Hatred in its purest form. His sword began to glow a bright red, suddenly, and was then enflamed by his rage. Glowing white as the sun, the blade began to change shape. It thinned out, curving at the middle, until it was almost paper-thin. The blinding white glow wore off, and a red and yellow bastard sword remained behind. "You are nothing compared to me." The blade caught fire, and Blitz charged with speed unlike that any mortal could achieve.
As their weapons met, a deafening ring, accompanied by a blinding flash, filled the room. Tsunami turned away, her eyes burning, as the two fighters collided again, then leapt away and rushed one another once more.
'Truly a dance of death,' she thought. 'How can I hope to defeat even one of them?' The situation was growing more bleak by the moment. These near-godlike beings were locked in a combat so evenly matched that it could last for eternity. Both were filled with the power of an evil God, and both could wreak havoc upon the world should they emerge from this conflict alive. There was only one thing to do, Tsunami knew. She took one step back, hoping that the fighters would not notice. Neither did. So she took one more step, then another. They were both too preoccupied with their battle to notice. It was her only chance, now. Turning, Tsunami made a mad dash for the last artifact.
'I must destroy it! The world depends on me!'
OoC: Don't have Blitz harm Tsunami. Not fatally, at least. Just have her do what she can, even if she inevitably fails. Oh, and Dirk
must fail to retrieve the cape. Go ahead and have him get the last artifact if you like, though. I'm going somewhere interesting with this.

It's a really cool idea, and a great way for my character to enter the BA, so just go along with it for now, and see what you think of my plot. By the way, how many battles have you been in? This is my first. Impressed?
