The Apocalyptic Archangel (Anyone is welcome)

OoC: Improved Dirk is my character, which is in my sig. This takes place at an ancient temple which Dirk is searching for a stronger power.

BiC: Dirk finally made it to the temple with no name. Dirk looked around to see that every inch of life here was fading. Dirk had an uneasy feeling about this and cautiously stepped through the door. Dirk came upon a room with many doorways that branch off into different parts of the castle which was weird because the castle was somewhat small. Dirk counted the number of doors and saw that there were thirty doors total. Each door had a different symbol above the doorway. Dirk decided to take the doorway with the symbol of a wing above it.

Dirk went through the doorway into an empty room. Dirk studied the room carefully. Dirk saw nothing at all. It was completely empty. Dirk took a couple of steps forward and felt his foot sink. Dirk had stepped on a switch by accident and an old stone tablet popped out of the ground. Dirk went over and wiped the dirt off the stone tablet. The stone had a message on it. The message read, "The Apocalyptic Archangel lies within this castle. If you desire to gain strength than be the first one to free him and you shall be granted strength beyond your wildest dreams. Brave the challenges within each room besides this one to obtain the first of 7 artifacts to revive the ancient archangel."

After Dirk read the message on the stone tablet it exploded leaving a dirt cloud making Dirk cough a little bit. Dirk knew deep inside that it would be wrong to release the archangel but was tempted to do so because of the promise of power. Since Dirk thought that this could be his only chance he left the room in a hurry. Dirk saw that a light was now shining in the big room with thirty doors. The symbol above the door of the room he just left was glowing too.

A mysterious voice suddenly said, "If you want to revive the archangel you must obtain all artifacts and bring them to the center. Make all the doorways glow to receive the first artifact. Dirk decided to go through the nest door which had a symbol of a frog on it. Then Dirk noticed a warrior standing in the doorway. Dirk not wanting to waste time dashed to the door and quickly entered the room. In the room was a warp pad which, without hesitating, he stepped on. As the warrior entered the room Dirk had already teleported.

Dirk was teleported to a place that smelled of dead bodies and brimstone. Dirk was now facing a series of obstacles. Dirk quickly took on the challenge. As he started to go through the series of obstacles the warrior had already arrived.

OoC: Even though that it says just one warrior anyone can come. Just that one of the warriors has already arrived. As long as the fighter limit does not exceed 6 warriors if that is alright with everyone. In this Dirk is trying to revive the archangel which must be prevented. Dirk will gain power the more artifacts he acquires. Your job is to try and prevent him from obtaining all of the artifacts and revive the apocalyptic archangel. Dirk's weapon will be changed when he obtains close to half of the artifacts to an evil version of the weapon. This whole thing will be quite lengthy so be prepared for a long battle.

I'll take you on

OOC: Boomer will be my character. He's a Goron.

BIC: Boomer had heard a rumor that a being called the Apocalyptic Archangel could grant power, but he felt that the Archangel was evil, so he decided to destroy the temple that housed the Archangel. Unfortunately another warrior had arrived, so Boomer tried to catch up and tell the Zora to leave.

The Zora had already entered one of the thirty rooms, so Boomer followed him. He found himself faced with many obstacles, so he copied what the Zora did until he caught up in a sort of checkpoint. It was a small circular room about fifteen feet in diameter. On either side of them were deadly traps, and Boomer wasn't sure what this guy's motives were.

As Boomer landed on the floor of the checkpoint, the Zora stopped to face him. "Who are you?" Boomer asked.

"I am Dirk. Stop following me, whoever you are."

"I am Boomer, and I can't let you release that Archangel, or anything with the word 'Apocalypse' in its name. Leave so I can destroy this evil place."

Re: The Apocalyptic Archangel (Anyone is welcome)

Dirk well known that anyone would probably stop him Dirk tried to race off throught he obstacle course surprising Boomer. Dirk passed through the obstacles with ease and activated the second of thirty symbols. The frog and wing symbols were now lit as Dirk was automatically teleported back to the room just as Boomer reached the teleport spot. Dirk hurried to the next door which had a fire symbol on it. Dirk entered the room quickly feeling the hot air coming from the teleporting pad. Dirk stepped on it.

Dirk was in a room similar to a volcano. Dirk didn't like the feel of the place and wanted to get through quickly. Meanwhile Boomer didn't know which door the zora went through so he went through the door closest which happened to be the right door. Boomer stepped through the teleporting pad and saw that Dirk already was 3/4 of the way there. Boomer had to hurry. Dirk was ducking and dodging everything that was coming towards him slashing a few fire bats that hurt him when he hit the bats. Dirk made to the area with the same lookn as the frog area where he released the power. The fire symbol now glowed and Dirk once again was teleported to the main room. Boomer was too late for that symbol too. Dirk continued through the next door with an ice symbol. In there it was so freezing you could barely move. Dirk made it across the room where he thout the teleport pad was. Since it took him so long to get there Boomer busted through the room stopping dead in his tracks freezing. Dirk activated the symbol of ice and ran as fast as he could and jumped over Boomer getting out of the room. Dirk went to the next room which was room number 5 with a symbol of swords crossed. Dirk went in and stepped on the teleport pad.

Dirk was now in a battle arena. Dirk saw a giant bear in front of him and saw the symbol on the creature's forehead. Dirk not wanting to waste time got out his weapon and shouted, "Justice Shot." Dirk saw the creature was immobilized and took the opportunity to slash the bear and slashed it in half. Then the fifth symbol automatically was activated teleporting him out of there. Dirk saw that Boomer just got out of the ice room. Dirk starting making his way to the sixth door which had a goron symbol on it.

Re: The Apocalyptic Archangel (Anyone is welcome)

Boomer knew he would have to take drastic measures in order to slow down this Zora. As Dirk ran for the Goron room, Boomer used Fire Blast to create a wall. Dirk now stood between Boomer, and a wall of fire.

Dirk used his arrows, but Boomer curled into a ball, and rushed forward! Dirk dodged, and Boomer ran straight into the next room by accident, squelching the fire. They were both in the Goron room now, wich was a cave. Stalagmites, stalagtites, and falling rock were the obstacles here. Boomer knew that Dirk woudn't back down easily, so he used a different strategy. He raced forward while Dirk found himself up against two dodongos.

Boomer found himself in a final room with an artifact resembling a round ruby. He was teleported out, so he waited at the doorway. He hid the artifact, and as Dirk came out, he threw his bombs. Dirk put up his shield, so the bombs didn't do much. When the smoke cleared, Boomer was already going through a Forest door.

Dirk followed, not knowing what Boomer was up to. They raced through a jungle, facing tigers, and insects the size of horses. Boomer used Explosion to set the jungle on fire, and defeated a water elemental to claim the tree artifact. He was teleported to the main room, and Dirk followed.

"Here's how it's going to work." Boomer told Dirk. "These artifacts are made of extremely durable materials, but even diamonds will break if you strike them against each other! I'm going to destroy this evil place, so leave now!" He got ready to destroy the two artifacts.

OOC: Boomer may have an unfair advantage, since he doesn't even want the power. Try not to get too angry.

Re: The Apocalyptic Archangel (Anyone is welcome)

Then the mysterious voice said, "Dirk my champion you have yet to go through all the challenges for the first revival artifact. But since this meddling goron wants to destroy the place I'll grant the first of seven to you." A mysterious armblade then came down in front of Dirk. Dirk placed the armblade on his right arm and felt loads of power. "The Armblade of Tainted Souls is now yours. You're 1/7 of the way there to my revival." All the doorways began to glow in unison. The beams from the lighted doors shot at Dirk covering him in an evil aura strong enough to kill all life around. Dirk laid on the ground with Boomer staring at Dirk. Dirk slowly got up and stared at Boomer. Boomer saw the evil that now haunts Dirk.

OoC: Dirk now has a new power to blast evil energy at his foes.

BiC: Dirk raised his right arm and his hand wide open facing Boomer. An evil energy started forming at the center of his hand. Then a huge wave of evil energy blasted Boomer and the whole temple was obliterated. Dirk made his getaway to a location indicated by the remains of the temple which showed in arrow in the direction that Dirk went. Dirk thought to himself, The next artifact is the other armblade and I must receive it before that goron comes and ruins it. Dirk now with the Armblade of Tainted Souls was now heading towards the Forest of Death, which held the Armblade of Darkened Souls.

OoC: If you didn't know Dirk will revive the archangel in this whole thing. The armblades he acquires will be known together as Evil's Twin Armblades. Hope you recover from that blast of evil energy. Sorry about this one being so short. My next one will be longer.

Re: The Apocalyptic Archangel (Anyone is welcome)

OOC: Yeah, I know that the Archangel will be revived. I was kind of thinking about an ending where they both fight the Archangel, but we will see what develops.

IC: Boomer coudn't believe that the Archangel had this much power, even when he was asleep. Things were more grim than ever before. Boomer recovered and headed for the Forest of Death.

In the Forest of Death, petrified trees were everywhere, and no animals could be heard. Boomer knew he had to gain power, but did that mean he would have to take the other Armblade? "No more Mr. Nice Guy! Do you hear me, Dirk!?" Boomer yelled at the distant form ahead of him.

Boomer rolled as fast as he could at Dirk, summoning as much energy as he coul. As Dirk turned to fire a dark energy blast, Boomer hurled a ball of superheated flame, that was his mobile Explosion Attack. The resulting explosion was massive, and it covered the land in a thick cloud of dust. The doorway that Dirk had been walking to, could not be seen.

Boomer leaped at Dirk, and grabbed the Armblade of Tainted Souls while using his Heatwave attack. Dirk responded by putting up his force field. Boomer was being electrocuted while Dirk was being burned, but neither released. Finally they were thrown away, but with the dust still thick, neither could make their way to the doorway.

Re: The Apocalyptic Archangel (Anyone is welcome)

Dirk and Boomer were on the ground. Dirk and Boomer slowly got up at the same time. Then dark, ominous clouds appeared overhead. The clouds were above the two warriors only. The clouds starting striking the ground with lightning. Dirk got struck by lightning and was sizzled. Dirk was lying on the ground when suddenly the mysterious voice came again. "Here is some rejuvinating power Dirk. To Boomer's surprise Dirk quickly got up and ran for the door to the temple in the Forest of Death. The mysterious voice bellowed, "PUNY GORON! YOU HAVE NO CHANCE OF KEEPING ME FROM MY REVIVAL. AS LONG AS DIRK HAS EVEN ONE ARTIFACT OF MINE HE WILL BE CONNECTED TO ME LOST IN AN EVIL RAGE. THE MORE POWER HE GAINS THE MORE HE WILL BE LOST. YOU CAN NEVER SAVE HIM ALONE MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Boomer quickly yelled back, "YOU WAIT AND SEE I'LL STOP YOUR REVIVAL."

"You waste your time," the mysterious voice said fading into the distance. Meanwhile Tsunami Tide comes strolling by lost in confusion.

OoC: Tsunami Tide is my newest character, link in sig, and she will be your teamate.

BiC: Tsunami looked at the creature she has never seen before. Tsunami went up to the strange creature and said, "Hi, my name is Tsunami Tide. What is your name?" "My name is Boomer and by the way you're looking at me I'd say that you have never seen one of my kind," said the goron smiling. "I'm a goron and i come from the mountains. I have no time for chit chat though so I have to go." "Wait. Let me help you. I could come in handy," said Tsunami beggingly. "Ok, why not? After all my enemy is very powerful. I could use all the help I could get," said Boomer thankfully.

Tsunami and Boomer set off towards the temple in the Forest of Death. As for Dirk he was already inside of the temple which only had one room. Dirk standing in the small temple looked at the far end and saw the other armblade. Dirk quickly went up to the altar that held the armblade. Dirk picked up and put it on his left arm. Now both armblades covered his fins. Then the armblades had holes in them. Dirk was excited to know that he could still use his fins. Dirk started feeling the power within him and felt a new power.

OoC: His new power is an upgrade to his evil energy blast.

BiC: As Boomer and Tsunami arrived, Boomer saw that it was too late for the second artifact. Dirk's evil aura about him seemed stronger to Boomer. "Is that your foe? That water creature," asked Tsunami. "Yes he is. You see, he is trying to revive the Apocalyptic Archangel. The more artifacts he acquires the more stronger he will get," explained Boomer. Dirk said with a changed menacing voice, "I have the Armblade of Darkened Souls now. Making Evil's Twin Armblades. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Tsunami was terrified to know that a water creature would do such a thing. "WE WILL STOP YOU," yelled Tsunami.

"HA! Like you could. I will just keep gaining power. I WILL revive my lord." Boomer was astonished by what Dirk just said. Boomer can't believe that the mysterious voice was right. Dirk was getting lost by an evil rage. Dirk started to charge evil energy in both of his hands. Boomer wide eyed yelled, "LOOK OUT." Dirk fired the enhanced power of evil energy at both Tsunami and Boomer. Boomer grabbed Tsunami and jumped out of the way in the knick of time. Dirk closed his eyes and said, "Master, please tell me where the next artifact is." "The next artifact is the Belt of Deception and it lies within the lake that sparkles like twinkling stars. The artifact is nearby under the sparkling water in the temple," said Dirk's master. Dirk thought to himself This is a perfect one. Finally an artifact where I can go and that Goron can't follow. Dirk ran passed Boomer and Tsunami towards the sparkling waters, which is the very same place that Tsunami was created to protect.

Re: The Apocalyptic Archangel (Anyone is welcome)

OoC: Mind if I join in? I'll be using Blitz.

BiC: "What in God's name am I doing in a place like this?" thought the young soldier as he kicked through the dark water. After escaping from that dragon creature in the caverns, he had dived into a pool and swam through an aqueduct. "Out of the frying pan, into the fire, I suppose..." Above him, he saw many tiny lights, glittering beyond the water's surface. Instinctively knowing which way to go, Blitz gave one forceful kick and was propelled upward. Gasping for breath after that long swim, he rowed his arms forward, making for the stone embankment. As he swam, he noticed that the end of the bank disappeared into a solid wall of stone. "Wonderful," he thought, "a dead end." Dragging himself onto the bank and collapsing in exhaustion, he almost missed seeing the strange creature standing further up the bank. Presumably an aquatic being, for it seemed to be well equipped with fins, it stared at him curiously. Blitz stared back.

He was suddenly aware of a dark aura, singing in his subconscious mind like an alto choir. There was something terribly wrong about this creature. Summoning a blanket of flames from the heat trapped in the small cave, Blitz caused the water weighing him down to evaporate. The creature reacted predictably; at first surprised, but then it raised its arms in a defensive posture, brandishing a pair of menacingly sharp armblades. Realizing that those weapons were the source of the evil power filling the cavern, Blitz quickly drew his Supernova sword.

Tense moments passed. Tiny lights glittered in the cave's ceiling like distant stars, illuminating the two combatants as they squared off. Then, the creature attacked. Dashing forward with speed Blitz had not expected, the being thrust one arm toward the undersized fighter. Blitz danced around the being, avoiding the sharp weapons by mere centimeters, and thrust the tip of his sword at the attacker's neck. "You haven't properly introduced yourself," Blitz said simply. "It is rude to physically assault someone whom does not even know your name."

"It's Dirk!" cried the creature as it dove into the water. Blitz had not expected this, and stared with a raised eyebrow as the one named Dirk retreated hastily.

VWEEN!

Turning around quickly, brandishing his sword, Blitz saw two more creatures materialize out of thin air. One was unlike Blitz had ever seen before, and the other appeared to be an otherworldly being of some sort. They both noticed him in surprise, and the three shared a wordless exchange.

"I assume you are chasing that water creature?" Blitz asked, sheatheing his sword gracefully.

The rocklike being nodded, which surprised Blitz. It understood English? "Yes," he said simply. "My name is Boomer, and you?"

"Blitz." He extended a hand to shake, but the being did not seem to understand this particular gesture. With a grin Blitz returned his hand to his waist, then turned to the water spirit. "And who might this young lady be?"

"My name is Tsunami Tide," she said in disinterest. The answer was brief enough, if a bit threadbare.

Turning back to face the glowing waters, Blitz was suddenly surrounded in a thin layer of transluscent flames. "That creature, Dirk, is escaping. If you hope to catch him, then keep up with me."

Boomer gave him a blank stare of confusion, but the soldier was already diving into the waters. Tsunami slid into the small waves behind him, and Boomer was left behind to contemplate his relationship with liquid substances.

OoC: Dan, I offer you some literary advice... from writer to writer. Remember never to begin two consecutive sentences with the same word. Trust me on this.

I'm sorry, but this is a little too much for me to remember, between Dirk, Tsunami, Blits, and Boomer. I'm out.

Re: The Apocalyptic Archangel (Anyone is welcome)

No one asked if they could put Tsunami or Blits in, because I'm too new to approve of it. Sorry, bu you could have Boomer die as they come in, I guess. I hope I'm not coming off as picky, but please PM me before you post in a battle that I am in. Thanks.

Re: The Apocalyptic Archangel (Anyone is welcome)

OoC: I'm sorry to see you drop out but i guess what's done is done. I guess it is just you and me now Wielder of the Sword

BiC: As Tsunami, Boomer, and Blitz were on the chase Boomer was thinking that this chase is too much of a hassle to bother with. Boomer said his goodbyes and Blitz and Tsunami were left to deal with Dirk. Tsunami went into the water after Blitz and they saw the underwater temple. Guessing by the look of the door Dirk was probably inside already. With Dirk inside already they had to act fast. Tsunami made it to the entrance first and opened the temple. Blitz went inside the temple first with Tsunami right behind. They spotted Dirk breathing heavily at the altar already claiming the Belt of Deception. Dirk put the belt on and grew more power. His muscles started to bulge and the aura around him started becoming visible. "Good," said Dirk's master, "But now you need the fifth artifact." Dirk confused asked, "Why the fifth? Where's the fourth artifact?"

"It is already in your possession." Then Dirk's weapon, Justice Prevails, lost it's grappling hook. "My weapon. It's destroyed." "No Dirk it is not destroyed. The hook was the only thing preventing me from making your weapon my fourth artifact."

"NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO," cried Tsunami. Dirk's weapon transformed into a malevolent weapon. Dirk asked, "What is this weapon?" "That is the Gun of Evil Deeds," explained his master. "It shoots evil energy similar to the energy created from your hands, but it has rapid fire." Dirk had an ecstatic smile on his face. Dirk then noticed Tsunami and a different warrior. I wonder what happened to the goron. Oh well it doesn't matter since I can't be stopped. Dirk raised his new weapon, the Gun of Evil Deeds, and shot at Tsunami and Blitz. Dirk shot 20 different times in different directions towards the warriors and hit each warrior 8 times. Blitz said under his breath, "I didn't even see most of those shots." Dirk ran to the next artifact indicated by a map on the wall. Blitz and Tsunami were on the ground badly hurt from the evil gun.

Several minutes later Tsunami and Blitz got up and took a look at the map. "According to this map, the next artifact is in Mountains of Monstrosity. The artifact we are looking for is the Apocalyptic Breastplate," said Tsunami reading the map. The two left the cave and started towards the mountain which was several miles away.

OoC: Now Dirk is stronger with that weapon. Dirk also has an active aura that hurts nearby enemies. You have to be right next to him to feel the effects of the aura. Dirk has a new weakness of holy and is no longer held back by weakness in muscle.

Re: The Apocalyptic Archangel (Anyone is welcome)

OoC: Hold on, are they all still underwater? Or is the temple an air pocket? Oh well, I'll just assume the latter.

BiC: As he ran through an exit in the temple, which led to a field outside, Blitz suddenly realized that he had no idea what he was doing. He had engaged this person, Dirk, simply because a great evil power emanated from him. Remembering his mentor's words, the soldier decided to ask his new ally for information.

"Tsunami, was it?" he asked without slowing. The water spirit nodded. "Tell me... who is this being we're chasing?"

"He is a Zora, a creature from a distant land. His name is Dirk, I believe. He is seeking to revive an ancient evil known as the Archangel. It has long been sealed in a shrine hidden deep underground--for so long, in fact, that even its legends have died." Blitz glanced backward briefly, surprised that he had never heard of this before. Surely the Alliance would have had such an occurance on record, even if it had occured on another world. "Should Dirk succeed in waking this ancient evil, the world shall be consumed in its wrath. All will perish."

Blitz arched a suspicious eyebrow. "And he's trying to revive it, why?" Without giving her time to answer, he stopped running. "Hop on my back," he commanded. Tsunami stopped as well, and gave him a questioning look. "Now! There's not much time until he reaches the mountains. We must reach the destination before our maniacal friend does."

Reluctantly, unsure of what to expect, Tsunami stepped behind her comrade and hoisted herself onto his back with her arms. "What did we just accomplish?"

"Hold on tight!" KRACK-A-BOOM! An explosion rocked the ground beneath them, and suddenly they were in flight. Looking around in bewilderment, Tsunami saw that the explosion had sent them at least thirty meters into the air in a matter of seconds. A determined look was on Blitz face. Then, their ascent began to slow dramatically. "And don't let go!" Another explosion directly behind the duo sent them rocketing in the direction of the mountains. Tsunami caught a brief glimpse of it before they were sent off. It was like a flower unfolding in tiny patterns of red and yellow, bordering on beautiful. Every few seconds, another explosive burst would erupt behind them at an angle, keeping them on a somewhat level flight path.

The looming mountains drew ever nearer, their giant crags reaching into the sky and trailing along the horizon; so ominous, and yet so majestic. The grassy field beneath them turned to desertlike terrain pockmarked with stones and boulders among other obstacles. Surely the two were travelling much faster than their enemy! And, sure enough, as they passed through the sky at an astonishing speed, Tsunami caught a brief glimpse of the Zoran warrior trailing along below. He was starting to fall behind.

Tsunami turned her eyes toward the grand red mountains now, searching for a temple, a cave, or any sort of entrance in which to hide something. While Blitz was focusing on keeping them aloft, she would be his eyes. Scanning the mountain, she at first saw nothing. They were passing over the mountain range now, and there was still no sign of the destination. Tsunami sighed in exasperation, but then noticed something in the corner of her eye. "That way!" she declared triumphantly, pointing toward a small black dot in the side of one mountain to their right. The cave was located in a ledge of one ridge, across from which was another ridge; between them, a vast ravine.

Giving a nod of acknowledgement, and possibly commendation, Blitz caused an eruption to the left of them. KRACK-A-BOOM! And they were heading toward the cave.

Hardly a minute later, they were directly over the cave's entrance. Tsunami began to worry that they would miss the ledge on which it was settled. "Should we not descend?" she said to her travelling companion.

Blitz did not answer her directly. Instead, he replied, "Close your eyes, and don't breathe. It's going to get very hot in a second."

Several moments later, Tsunami realized that they had skipped an interval in which Blitz would have created another eruption which would keep them aloft. Slowly, startlingly, they began to fall... directly toward the red stone ledge. As they began to descend more and more quickly, Tsunami's breath left her. In her shock, she tried to mutter something, but felt her lungs almost flatten under the air pressure. The wind was rushing past at an astonishing rate, causing Blitz' clothes to surge upward. Had they not been directly attached, Tsunami was certain they would have flown right off!

That cool determination still prevailed on Blitz' face, however. Surely, he knew what he was doing. Heeding his admonition, Tsunami shut her eyes. From below, an incredible heat lit her intangible skin, causing small ripples in her carapace. An explosion rocked beneath them, but their descent slowed considerably. Then, suddenly, wind surged past them and sent them sailing upward. Then the descent began once again. Hardly a moment later... Clack! The sound of shoes against stone.

As they landed, Blitz muttered something along the lines of "Gravity's a *****." When Tsunami had caught her breath, her ally said calmly, "You can open your eyes, now. But we have no time to rest. We must make haste, lest our enemy achieve his goal. We cannot allow him to become any stronger."

"Yes," Tsunami agreed. With effort to make every second count, the two dashed into the cave.

OoC: What do you think of my writing style? Not bad, eh?

Re: The Apocalyptic Archangel (Anyone is welcome)

OoC: It's pretty good. My thing of starting consecutive sentences with the same word is just a bad habit. Sometimes I catch it though.

BiC:When the warriors passed him Dirk came to a halt. Dirk consulted his master. "They passed right by me in a flash. What shall I do?" "I'll use some of the magic I have contained in this world to teleport you to the next artifact," said Dirk's master. "Close your eyes and feel the energy." Dirk closed his eyes and felt a huge gust of wind filled with the evil energy equal to the energy he can use. His body started to disappear slowly from his feet up. As soon as Dirk disappeared he felt his body travel through dimensions at a very quick speed. As Tsunami and Blitz entered the cave they saw it was very small.

Looking around they saw that the altar was seperated by a pool of lava. Then they felt a gust of wind with the evil energy filled within the wind. They saw Dirk's body coming together right in front of the altar. They were too late. Dirk had once again acquired another artifact adding to his power. He fitted the Apocalyptic Breastplate over his upper body. The artifact made his aura stronger and bigger. Dirk went over to the wall and started running against the wall over the pool of lava. Dirk landed on the other side and started walking towards the exit which was the entrance too. Tsunami and Blitz took a fighting stance and prepared for a battle. Dirk took out his gun and shot at Blitz. Blitz dodged the gun shots barely seeing that Dirk's fins were coming towards him. The evil aura from Dirk was also connected to his flying fins. Dirk's evil aura slowed down Blitz's reation time and nailed him with both flying fins. Blitz slid across the ground and hit his head against the cave wall.

Dirk quickly turned to Tsunami while his fins reattached to his body. Tsunami made a water blade and lunged at Dirk. She slashed his body that the breastplate covered and the evil contained in the breastplate shot an evil electric-like beam and hit Tsunami knocking her down. Dirk looked above the cave entrance to see that the next artifact lies within the mountains also. It was in a different cave. The artifact was known as the Apocalyptic Cape. A cape that repairs itself when slashed or torn apart. Dirk exited through the entrance and spotted the cave on a ledge behind the cave he currently left. He climbed on top of the cave entrance and started running over the cave. The next cave was directly behind it so Dirk jumped in between the back of the cave he was on and grabbed the ledge with half of his upperbody and arms. He climbed up onto the ledge and stood up. Dirk walked in the cave.

Just then Tsunami and Blitz got up from the attack Dirk set upon them. "Darn it all he got another one," said Tsunami while she looked at the map above the cave entrance. "So where's our next destination," asked Blitz. "To a cave right behind this one," answered Tsunami. They both exited and set out for the cave by way of what Dirk did. Tsunami and Blitz hopped onto the ledge and entered the cave. There they saw Dirk standing in front of the many obstacles on the way to the sixth artifact, the Apocalyptic Cape.

Re: The Apocalyptic Archangel (Anyone is welcome)

OoC: Do you find being untouchable that fun? Seriously, take a few hits, for God's sake!

BiC: "This isn't good," Blitz said worriedly as they dashed through the tunnel into the next cave. "How many of those artifacts are there?"

"Only seven. Dirk has already obtained the first five."

"Dammit!" he swore loudly. Unused to intense thought, Blitz' mind desperately tried to conjugate a plan. There had to be some way to stop this Zora from unleashing Hell upon the world. If only Drake were here, defeating Dirk would be simple as pie! Not relenting in his mad dash down the seemingly unending tunnel, Blitz turned his head to Tsunami. "I got nothin'. Any ideas?"

She did not respond, but that in itself was a very blatant 'No'.

"We have to fight him," Blitz said detachedly. "We have to trap him in a room, somehow, and take him head-on." His head turned downward slightly, now, as though he were holding back an emotion. "Even if it means killing him. The madness inflicted by those artifacts is too strong for him to overcome. He is weak of body, and that has affected his heart."

"How do you know his strength in his natural state?" Tsunami asked curiously.

"Because the power of a godlike entity would have killed me instantly, were it in the hands of someone strong of mind and body." His eyes briefly turned in her direction. "Trust me, I know."

Though she found the last sentence disturbing, the water spirit decided not to press him. There were more important things to think about than a mysterious swordsman's past. Such as saving the world from impending disaster.

"Look there!" declared Blitz as the tunnel came to an abrupt end, and opened up into a massive, circular room lit with mounted wax candles and lined with gilded pillars. Unlike the rest of the caverns, this room was well defined, as if hollowed from the stone by a master stonemason. Above the center of the room was an extravagant chandelier which would fetch a very hefty sum at the market. At the head of the room, opposite the tunnel from which Blitz and Tsunami came, was a shrine of some sort. More candles adorned that shrine than hung upon the wall, making the already outstanding golden display the focal point of the entire hollowed room.

And standing at that shrine, before a glass casing which housed a hanging black mantle of insidious design, was Dirk in all his madness. "The sixth..." spoke Dirk quietly. "Soon, Milord, you shall be freed." One armblade rose above the casing dramatically, and came down on the glass. It shattered loudly, falling to the limestone ground in piles. With a mind of its own, the cape lifted itself from the wall, and descended toward Dirk.

"NO!" Blitz shouted, his sword flashing into his hands with lightning speed. Forcing his legs to pound as fast as they could, he rocketed toward Dirk. The Zora saw him coming, and brought up Evil's Twin Armblades to guard against the oncoming attack. But then Blitz did something that Dirk had not expected. Siezing the Apocalyptic Cape from the air, Blitz leapt backward to stand next to Tsunami. Quickly, for he knew Dirk would not stand for the insult, he unclasped his own mantle and tossed it to his comrade. "Take good care of it--a friend gave it to me."

Then, in a mockery only the most competent of fighters would dare attempt, Blitz held the Apocalyptic Cape out to his side, grinning like a maniac. "Tauro."

Dirk's eyes bulged in rage as he shot forward like a lightning bolt. But unfortunately for the Zora, high-speed battles were Blitz' specialty. Just before Dirk's hand grasped the cape, Blitz jerked it away, clasping it to his back in one swift motion.

Tsunami gasped in shock. "No! What have you done?!" she cried, rushing forward to sieze the cape. But as she drew near, Blitz held up a hand and pushed her away.

"Quiet, you fool! You cannot challenge the power of a God!" His eyes began to glow red as he brandished the Supernova sword threateningly. "Stand down, or I shall kill you where you stand." Already, he was being consumed by the madness of the Archangel.

Tsunami backed away in shock. 'No...' she cried in her mind. 'Why would he do such a thing? No one can withstand the madness caused by the artifacts. I cannot fight alone... Surely, we are all doomed.'

Dirk stood by, watching with mild interest. "So we shall contest for the artifacts, then?" he said with a menacing laugh. "So be it!"

"Shut up and die." Blitz tone was cold, devoid of compassion. Hatred in its purest form. His sword began to glow a bright red, suddenly, and was then enflamed by his rage. Glowing white as the sun, the blade began to change shape. It thinned out, curving at the middle, until it was almost paper-thin. The blinding white glow wore off, and a red and yellow bastard sword remained behind. "You are nothing compared to me." The blade caught fire, and Blitz charged with speed unlike that any mortal could achieve.

As their weapons met, a deafening ring, accompanied by a blinding flash, filled the room. Tsunami turned away, her eyes burning, as the two fighters collided again, then leapt away and rushed one another once more.

'Truly a dance of death,' she thought. 'How can I hope to defeat even one of them?' The situation was growing more bleak by the moment. These near-godlike beings were locked in a combat so evenly matched that it could last for eternity. Both were filled with the power of an evil God, and both could wreak havoc upon the world should they emerge from this conflict alive. There was only one thing to do, Tsunami knew. She took one step back, hoping that the fighters would not notice. Neither did. So she took one more step, then another. They were both too preoccupied with their battle to notice. It was her only chance, now. Turning, Tsunami made a mad dash for the last artifact.

'I must destroy it! The world depends on me!'

OoC: Don't have Blitz harm Tsunami. Not fatally, at least. Just have her do what she can, even if she inevitably fails. Oh, and Dirk must fail to retrieve the cape. Go ahead and have him get the last artifact if you like, though. I'm going somewhere interesting with this. It's a really cool idea, and a great way for my character to enter the BA, so just go along with it for now, and see what you think of my plot. By the way, how many battles have you been in? This is my first. Impressed?

Re: The Apocalyptic Archangel (Anyone is welcome)

OoC: I have only been in a few battles myself but my writing skills need developing. I have a plan for the ending of this whold mess too.

BiC: Dirk had more artifacts but the cape was a powerful artifact alone. Blitz was evenly matched with Dirk as they both were striking each other hard. Dirk's artifacts seemed to give him more energy the more he fought. Blitz was feeling the same effect so the battle seemed it was going to last forever. Meanwhile Tsunami was searching for the last artifact. The last artifact was in the cave too. This artifact is known as the Headband of the Apocalyptic Archangel. This artifact was the strongest of all the artifacts. Tsunami found the artifact in an altar of a dark part of the cave. It was so dark you couldn't see the front of your hand. Anyways she headed back to the battlers and she saw that they were still fighting. Dirk spotted her with the artifact. Blitz and Dirk hit each other again but Dirk pulled out his gun and shot blitz knocking him back. This gave Dirk the tim to claim the artifact.

Dirk ran towards Tsunami and snatched the headband out of her hands. Dirk placed it on his head. Electrical evil energy started swarming around Dirk. Some of that energy was around Blitz too. As the energy swarmed around the warriors a dark ominous looking hole started forming in the wall behind the altar. As the energy stopped swarming Dirk ran and jumped into the hole. Without hesitation Blitz followed. Tsunami followed unsure of what she could do. As the three entered the place by way of the hole they saw themselves in the ancient underground ruins of the Apocalyptic Archangel. Dirk was already going to the revival altar. Blitz followed of course without thinking of the consequences. As Dirk reached the altar the crazed Blitz was there too. Dirk had an unpleasantly evil smile about him. Blitz rushed at Dirk. Dirk didn't even move to try and attack. As Blitz entered the light the earth started to shake. Dirk started laughing menacingly. Tsunami entered the room to see that the Archangel was beginning to revive. Dirk just stood there like a mindless puppet. Things were looking bleak as the angel of darkness was coming out of the place of his slumber.

Re: The Apocalyptic Archangel (Anyone is welcome)

Consumed by a maniacal fury, Dirk rushed Blitz for the sole sake of enjoyment. Blitz raised his sword, guarding against the attack with a veneer of disinterest. As the Zora leapt back and prepared for another strike, Blitz attention was largely focused on the altar as a void began to open above it. Within that infinite emptiness, an evil power was slowly awakening. Soon, the Archangel of the Apocalypse would be ressurected. CLANG! The blades met; a roar filled the room. But it was not the sound of the weapons clashing. No, some otherworldly creature was beginning to stir here within the depths of the Earth.

Finally sensing the presence through his dementia, Dirk relented his onslaught and turned his head toward the altar. In a manner that could only be described as eerie, he whispered, "Master!"

Blitz' eyes were now locked on the void as it drew ever larger, consuming all that it touched into its vast absence. The void spread further, stretching until it reached the floor and ceiling, and then spreading outward until it formed a massive wall from wall to wall, floor to ceiling. Both of the tainted fighters stared on with bland expressions, consumed by the wicked power of the artifacts.

Watching all of this, Tsunami felt completely helpless. She had failed to destroy the last of the artifacts, and now the Archangel was being restored to the world. There was nothing that could stop it now...

As though he were the only person in the room, Blitz threw his arms wide. "Archangel of the Apocalypse! Hear my voice, and grant your servant his desire!"

"Speak, and ye shall recieve," came a voice deep as thunder, empty as the void from which it echoed.

"Bestow upon me your power!" Turning to face Dirk, Blitz sneered. "This fool is not worthy of your might. Make me your loyal servant in place of him!"

Dirk threw a bewildered glare of hate at the human, for this was an incredible insult to his pride, doubled as it was by the madness.

"It shall be granted you," spoke the angel. Then, from the void came a black-winged figure, its skin black as the night, its long mane of hair of purest white. Its ears were long, as those of an elf. A garment of white, embroidered with gold trimming, draped down its torso, covering all skin below its neck; save for its arms, which were crossed in a regal manner, a gesture of superiority. "Offer up your soul in behalf of the Archangel. Become my servant; the Servant of the Damned."

His face plastered with disbelief, Dirk was then encompassed by a sphere of darkness energy. The sphere rose, and so too did its captive. Then, ekking a cry of surprise from Dirk, the artifacts vanished from his body. The wicked power slipped out from him suddenly, and his frail body could not handle the strain. Dirk slumped to the ground, unconscious.

His arms spread wide, Blitz accepted the offering of the Archangel. The sphere of darkness energy then consumed him, glowing more intensely than before. The artifacts materialized upon him, but the sphere did not dissipate. Instead, it began to crackle and burn under the force of its own intensity. But then, Blitz fell to his knees, coughing and choking loudly.

The angel's face twisted into a bemused grin. "Is my power too much for a mortal such as yourself? Can such an inferior being bare the strain of a God?"

Still choking, although the spell had subsided somewhat, Blitz rose to his feet. His sword slithered into his hand gracefully. He grinned an evil grin. "Beings like you make me sick." Then, startlingly, the artifacts were gone. Every one of them had simply vanished without a trace.

Tsunami gasped in confused shock. What had just happened? ...Could it be that...? Was it even possible?

The Archangel roared in fury, not entirely certain as to what had happened. "Human! How dare you reject my power?! A mortal such as you is incapable of resisting the madness inflicted by my might!"

"I feigned the madness," Blitz said simply. "I was sane the whole time."

So furious was the angel that even he himself could not have comprehended his own fury. "You are but a human! Mortals cannot defy the might of a God!"

Blitz knelt into a battle stance, watching the Archangel deliberately. "That's where you're wrong. I'm no normal human, as you should well know." He closed his eyes and swathed the air with his sword, and a sweet sound hung in the air. "All I have to do..." he whispered, "is listen for her voice. Then I shall be whole again."

Dirk moaned and began to stir at that moment. Tsunami was still standing at the cave entrance, bewildered by what she was hearing. How was it possible? How could a this mere human have accomplished something so border-line impossible? 'No,' she chided herself. 'There are more important things to worry about.'

"Blitz!" she cried out. "Strike the Archangel, now!"

During the commotion, Dirk had woken and reestablished himself. Fully aware of his surroundings, he took a stance next to Blitz and prepared for the inevitable battle. Tsunami hung back, but did not intend to be left out of the fight. She would do her part, as would her now-stable comrades.

The Archangel roared and the cavern trembled. Shrapnel came loose from the stone above them, shattering harmlessly on the ground. "You shall all pay dearly for your treachery!! Die, mortals!!"

The entire cavern was then encompassed in a light as black as night, and all of them were sucked into the void.

OoC: I realize that this is a little choppy, and I need to work on details. But I'm pressed for time. In fact, I'm out of time. I'll tune it up later. Have fun with the climactic final battle!

Re: The Apocalyptic Archangel (Anyone is welcome)

Dirk, Blitz, and Tsunami were standing in the darkness with no sign of light anywhere in the visible range of the fighters. Then a figure was visible in front of them. As it became more visible so did the battle field. They were standing on a grassy plain. It stretched as far as the eye could see. In some place were burn marks and other such scars from a very tough and long fight. "How do you like the very place I fought the wizards of old. I believe that one of the wizards was the one that created that water spirit over there. I can't believe that a spell of his would be so small and weak. I guess you were never meant to leave the sacred waters. Anyway that's not the point. What is the point is that we are all trapped in the seal of my resting place. The only way out is to fight. So who will win. Will it be the three pathetic mortals? Or would it be me, the Apocalyptic Archangel," said the archangel draw out a huge double-edged sword the length of the three warriors combined. The archangel himself was already huge. About 17 feet tall. The archangel spread his huge wings and started to fly.

"How are we supposed to defeat something as big as that," asked Dirk worried out of his mind. "We will just have to fight with the best of all our abilities. Together we can win," said Blitz who himself was unsure of the battle ahead. Dirk started the battle witthe extending of his fins. He ran towards the archangel and threw his fin boomerangs at the archangel. The archangel's evil energy reflected the fins right back at Dirk. Dirk got hit hard by his fins and stepped back a couple of feet holding his stomach. Tsunami stepped forward and called her tsunami spell. The spell was even large enough to reach the flying archangel of darkness. Tsunami started spraying water at the angel. Blitz then started to charge for a sun bomb. The archangel caught wind of this charging and surprisingly moved so fast that Blitz could barely see the movement. He smacked Blitz hard with his weapon and Blitz went flying so far that he went around the battle field and landed in the same exact spot he was standing on. Dirk then saw his weapon on the ground in front of him. My weapon, but it is destroyed. Dirk thought picking up the weapon. Then the weapon started glowing with lots of power. Dirk had an idea. He ran towards his teamates. Blitz stood up and Tsunami was nearby. Dirk whispered to them, "This weapon works on inner strength. If we combine our inner strength together we could possibly beat this evil creature." Each warrior grabbed the Dirk's weapon. They concentrated all of their power into the weapon. They all shouted at the same time, "JUSTICE BBBBLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSS SSSSSTTTTTTT!" Then the weapon was glowing with so much power that it lit the whole battle field with light brighter then the sun. The blast then shot with great speed and intensity towards the archangel. "NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ," shouted the archangel as he disappeared from the blast attack. After the attack was over the warriors appeared on the earth's surface above the temple. Each warrior was collapsed on the ground. The warriors woke up after thirty minutes or so. Tsunami asked, "What just happened?" "I think we won," replied Dirk. "I think that I'll never trust in something as evil as that again. I'll just have to look for another way. Blitz, Tsunami, we will be friends right? I mean that I'm really sorry about the trouble I caused for you guys. You don't have to be but I just want to thank you from helping me when I was consumed by the darkness." "It's allright," said Blitz, "We can be friends. If it wasn't for your weapon we may have never beaten that angel. We shall all be friends from this day forward. Let's continue on our own paths to one day hopefully meet again." With those parting words Blitz and Tsunami started off on their own. Dirk however stayed behind. Then he looked down below on the ground hearing a faint voice, "My revival is inevitable and you becoming my champion is also inevitable." Dirk shook his head and ran towards a new beginning hopefully never having to deal with the archangel ever again.
