Battle of practice (Din Fire)

OoC: Karaza's thread is linked to my signature.

BiC: Karaza walked through mountain path, noticing the beautiful surrounding as he went. Water trickled as it was sent downwards by the tremendous force of the mountain. Trees wisped in the wind as they made a whistling sound that roamed the mountain. Leaves and pines littered the moist ground as the wind tossed them around. The sun shone down and lit up the shiny rocks that covered the gorgeous, rocky, uneven surface of the mountain. The air was thin, but flowers could still be smelt by the animals that called this mountain there home. Most of these animals in question made their home by or in the large, blue lake that was embedded into the flat top of the high mountain.

“Such a beautiful day” Karaza thought to himself. It seemed like a waste to him to spend it alone, but that was how he chose to live, and how he would continue to live. It was not a life of glamour or happiness, but it kept him sharp and well trained. It seemed like so long ago that he had first discovered the power of his mystical chain that now lay around his very neck. He thought deeply as he looked at it, remembering the glow it had once emitted, and how he had begun his stride toward the future that day. He remained in deep thought even as he walked slowly through a small, shallow river. His feet got wet, but not enough to bother him. How could he be bothered, he had the rest of his life to just, be free and to be chained by nothing... nothing at all. Still, he couldn’t help but feel pinned down, not by anything physical, nor mental, the problem as he saw it, resided somewhere in his emotional consciousness. His emotional consciousness, the one thing that he despised so much, yet depended on so heavily... the one thing he couldn’t improve on by training or thinking, no matter how hard or how often.

Karaza was surprised when he heard a sound in the distance. His ears twitched as he searched around the trail for any sign of disturbance, however he could see nothing. The sound had came from something much larger than any squirrel that he had ever seen. He continued to look around, behind trees and even inside them. However, his eyes were obviously at a bad angle, for he couldn’t catch whatever it was. It only took a moment for him to hear something else, another rustle of a bush. He jumped up into a tree suddenly and looked around from there. The orange leaves of the tree provided camouflage from any attempts from below to see him, and he had a better view of the land scape now. It only took him a second to spot the source of the noise. A girl wandering through the bushes, who apparently had no idea whatsoever that Karaza even existed. If she did, she obviously had no idea where he was, for she stumbled around with no sense or direction. The girl wore a red shirt with black sleeves. She had a dark red pair of jeans on and appeared bruised and scraped.

Without warning, the ground beneath the girl’s feet began to slide. She attempted to grab onto a low tree branch, but the result was a small snap as the branch broke feebly. The girl let out a small shriek as her arms went crazy in an attempt to grab onto something, anything in order to not fall down the mountain. Karaza squinted his eyes in disbelief and scrunched his fore head, it took him a second to realize that the girl was heading for the edge of a small cliff. Normally not a big threat, but the girl did appear to be rather bruised up, so he thought it good to stop her. He kicked his way off the tree as he began to accelerate. It took him but a second to hit the ground behind the girl and he braced himself as soon as his boots hit the ground. He was ready, just not for what happened next. The girl was no longer on her feet, she was sliding down on her back, and when she came to Karaza, he was unable to catch her as he had intended to do. Instead, she hit his legs causing him to fall as well. This in terms slowed the girl down, but Karaza hit his head on a rock and blanked out for a second. A second was all it took for him to feel himself sliding off the cliff. He was about to fly upwards when he felt a hand grab his own. He was then hoisted upwards back onto solid ground. When he got up onto his feet, he looked at the girls dark red hair and was about to thank her. However, she obviously hadn’t gotten a very good look at him earlier, for upon seeing his white skin, she let another small shriek and pushed him once more off the cliff.

Karaza stopped midway down to the ground, he flew there, suspended in mid air. He didn’t enjoy being pushed off a cliff, but he had surprised the girl, so her reaction was to be expected. As he began to float back towards the top of the cliff, he crossed his arms and looked at the rocky wall in front of him. It took him a second, but his telekinesis got him to where he wished to go. The girl seemed calm enough, and almost glad to see that she hadn’t killed anybody.

Karaza tried to put on his kindest possible voice as to not frighten or surprise to girl, however, he was cut off. “How dare you scare me. As if it wasn’t bad enough that you practically land on me, but then you scare me half to death, after I might add, that I saved your life,” the girl intruded. “Hello,” she said Kindly anew as if nothing had ever happened, I’m Airanárë, but you can call me Aira.” Airanárë extended her hand and signaled Karaza to do the same.

The look on Karaza’s face went from polite to absolutely dumb founded. This girl had pushed him off a cliff, gotten mad at him, forgotten about it and now she wished to shake hands. A very odd one indeed, he thought to himself. However, he was quiet, not rude, so he as well extended his hand and the two shook.

Karaza was next to speak, “Hello Airanárë, pleased to meet you,” he said as he took her hand kissed it as a English gentleman would. “I am Karaza. I am sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused you,” he thought to himself trying to not to sound ironic. “I apologize and shall let you be on your way.” Karaza turned his back as if to walk away, however, Airanárë stopped him.

“No, please. You see, I’m kinda, well, lost. And well, I just kind of would like it if you could show me a way off the mountain.” asked the girl in the kindest of voices Karaza had ever heard. Karaza could see that she was indeed lost and he knew he should help her. However, a better idea came to mind.

Karaza turned back around and faced her. “Well, I have a better idea. You look tattered, have you had a hard time on this mountain?” he asked. Airanárë nodded and he continued. “Well, not to be rude, but I believe that you could use a bit of training. Am I correct in thinking that you have just begun your own training?” he continued. Airanárë nodded again. “Well, I do believe, that if you let me, I could help you train. Would you grant me the honor of teaching you?” he asked.

Airanárë thought for a second. “...”

OoC: Ok, now I know you're already being taught by H-a-B, so I won't try and intrude. This will just kind of be a practice battle, so that you can get the feel of a what a real battle would feel like. Also, don't feel obliged to make your posts as long as the one above, it took me a little while and I put more effort into it than I normally would.

Re: Battle of practice (Din Fire)

Airanárë thought for a second 'Okay, I'll accept your challenge.
Both stood on their attack positions.
Karaza’s nails grew suddenly making Airanárë shocked.

‘Your- your nails just…grew!’
‘Glad you like them’ laughed Karaza while jumping in Airanárë’s direction to attack her. She rolled on the floor to escape the attack. Karaza tried this three more times, but Airanárë could escape all of them, although part of her trousers was ripped off.
‘This girl is agile’ thought Karaza.
‘I definitely have to stay away from that claws’ concluded Airanárë.

She created a ball of fire and tossed it to Karaza, but the ball seemed to make no effect in Karaza’s skin, although he stepped back a bit.

‘You see my skin can absorb half of the attack’s damage. And since your ball was a weak attack, it didn’t cause any hurt’ he smirked.
‘I have to think of something that can penetrate that rubbery skin’

Karaza started to concentrate on a large boulder near the cliff. After awhile it was floating in air. Airanárë that was kind of misplaced in the battle field trying to find a spell to make damage to Karaza, looked at him and only saw this huge rock flying right at her. Just second before the rock totally smashed her; she managed to use her telekinetic powers and stopped the rock in mid air.
Karaza continued will the attack so now there were to forces going against each other.

‘So you have also telekinesis?’ Karaza tried to establish a conversation.
‘I noticed that you possessed it also’ responded.
The rock continued floating between the two, going once in Airanárë’s direction, and other times in Karaza’s.
‘So, how long have you been training in the Dome?’
‘Not quite long actually, a couple of weeks maybe. But how do you know the Dome?’ she seemed surprised.
‘I’ve been there’ he smiled while remembering his stay in the Dome ‘Nice place the Dome. I learn all that I know today there!
’Really?! I hope to learn to control my magic skills’
‘I wish you luck, but know I have to finish this battle’ he finished while giving extra force to the rock, making it crush the place where Airanárë was. Fortunately, she ran just in time.

Karaza ran towards Airanárë to attack her with his claws, but suddenly a fire wall appeared in front of her, making him fall to the ground with some serious burns in the hands, and one broken nail.
Airanárë ran at him to help, because she was not responsible for the damage that the fire caused, since it’s a kind of mechanism that she can’t control. But when she was about to see the fire damage, she saw that Karaza’s skin was healing itself! The burns were now disappearing and the new flesh was turning the exact colour as the old one. She let out a little scream in surprise. Karaza laughed at the surprise of the girl.

Karaza then shoot several psi energy projectiles, throwing Airanárë away, making her hit a tree. She stayed like that for a long time.

Ooc: Never mind my last PM. I finished my part in order for you to continue the batlle! =) I haven't wrote much (I know ) but I guess that your character probably has evolve, and I like to see more of your strategy in action....

Re: Battle of practice (Din Fire)

Karaza stood up and Airanárë watched him stride his way over as leaves fell on her head from the shaking tree above. She let out a small groan and stood up slowly. Her hands were covered with dirt that came from the moist ground she had fell on. Her back hurt and her hands felt warm and scratched, they were bleeding from when she braced herself for the fall.

She brushed the dirt off of her red shirt and raised her hand, “Fire Ball!” she exclaimed as the smouldering sphere lit up in her hand. She extended her hand and the ball shot suddenly in Karaza’s direction. The ball moved so fast that Karaza had no time to move. The ball hit him in the chest and silver blood was coughed up as he soared backwards. He managed to stop himself in the air with telekinesis. His legs were stuck outwards and his body was folded from the force that had been applied on his body.

He looked down at the charred spot on his shirt and lowered himself to the ground. “Well, that was painful. However, I’m not impressed. You passed up a great opportunity,” he said as Airanárë looked at him with a look of confusion on her face. “You see, when I braced myself with my telekinesis, you had a great chance to strike. You could have thrown yourself at me and struck me while I was defenseless. I’ll show you what I mean.” Karaza informed Airanárë as he drew his claws.

Airanárë was about to speak but lost her voice at the sight of Karaza’s attack. Before she could respond she saw the ball of psi about the size of a beach ball headed toward her. The ball made it’s way to her chest and suddenly, with great force, exploded, thus sending her flying backwards. Airanárë landed on the ground and kept sliding until her back hit a tree root. She turned herself upwards using her own telekinesis. It only took her second to realize what she had done. Karaza came flying at her as he kicked himself towards her. His right hand was in the air and his claws were extended. Airanárë closed her eyes in fear of the attack, however, she opened them when nothing happened.

She gulped and looked at Karaza, who was now standing tall. “Why’d you stop?” she asked as if she really had expected Karaza to pierce her. Karaza smiled and turned around, he let out a loud sigh.

“I could have killed you. Not because I’m stronger than you, but because you closed your eyes. Normally it wouldn’t matter, for a skilled warrior can fight with their eyes closed, but you did more than that. You let your guard down.” Karaza smiled but Airanárë was unable to see it for Karaza was no longer facing her.

“But you also let your guard down,” replied the girl. Karaza made a gesture for her to explain. “You have your back turned, do you not?” she asked as Karaza let out a small chuckle. Airanárë didn’t see what exactly was so funny. There she stood, bruised ans scraped and Karaza was making jokes.

Karaza tilted his head and his hair blew in the cool breeze. “Alright then, if I have let my guard down by turning my back, strike me.” Karaza taunted as Airanárë started a fire ball. She prepared to fire it, but she got a bad feeling... a chill down her spine. What if it was a trap, she thought to herself. But it was too big of an opportunity to pass up. She shot the fire ball but let a frown crawl onto her face as she saw what Karaza had done. As the fire ball threatened to strike him, Karaza swung his foot up whilst doing an all around spin. He did it very fast, but Airanárë saw his boot hit the ball, thus extinguishing it and he then landed in the exact same position he had been in before. Airanárë frowned, it would seem she would have to think up a different strategy.

OoC: I'll be looking forward to your next post. But unfortunately, I won't have time enough to post again today. So don't rush yourself.

Re: Battle of practice (Din Fire)

OoC: Sorry for the longing I've been having some tests and I'll be going on holiday till 26th of June only popping in the 17th for a thread of BGS. I warn you that this post will be shorter. The 2 characters are in my sig! =)

BiC: Airanárë started to think of an attack that could make damage to Karaza.
He turned aroung again.
'Come on. I let my guard down again' he laughed for himself.
She prepared a fire ball again and thrown at him.
He defended it but this small movement gave Airanárë the chance to prepare quickly an arrow that, in flames, pierced Karaza shoulder.
This made him loose concentration and fell on the floor hardly.
With pain he tryed to take out the arrow.
'I hasn't expecting that!' strangely he laughed like he liked to be hurt. ' I thought you'll never make real attacks' his skin start to regenerate, still Airanarë could see that he was hurt from the inside.

A person covered in a black tunic, was passing by the place where this peculiar scene was happening. Wonder how much was his shock to see a an with long nails looking up to a girl with red flamed hair who was floating in mid-air.
'Aira?' he asked forcing Airanárë to surprisingly look down and Karaza to concentrate in this new visitor.
'Today it's full of meetings' Karaza thought to himself.
'Ithil!' she flew to where the new visitor was standing, hugging him hardly.
'What on Earth are you doing here fighting with this guy? I was sick worried about you. I thought that you were lost in the mountains'
'And there you are again exaggerating. This fine man calls himself Karaza and offered to train me. Karaza this is my friend Ithilungwë'
The two men shaked hands.
'Please call me Ithil...it's better. So you decided to train my little butterfly'
'ITHIL' she blushed.
Karaza laughed at the situation.
'Yes I offered my services, because this lady here seemed a bit...lost.'
'You seem a fine guy, but you understand that you have to fight me...don't you?'
'Ithil you don't have to...' she was interrupted.
'Aira you're to tired, have you been here fighting all day? You need rest and you know that I have a ...let's say better resistance to time.' she gave a strange look that only the two could understand ' Could you accept this trade of opponent?'
'Not at all Ithil. I'll be pleased to fight a new opponent. I like new challenges. And you talk like you have a lot of secret tricks to offer diversion for night long'
Ithil smirked.
'Yes at night...you'll be surprised at the things the day and night can do to a person' he noted mentally ' Aira it'll be better if you go and rest a bit. Go under that tree and have my tunic...it's becoming a bit cold.' he undressed the black tunic and gave it to Aira. Now, he was only wearing a thinner dark-blue tunic with dark pants.
He prepared the silver katanas and involved himself in a singular fight with Karaza's claws.

The moon started to appear in the sky...

OoC: Ok finished now. Just note that the transformation of Ithilungwë makes him scream and stuff...but only DURING the transformation. I decided to change character, because I want to use his skills and powers! =) Take the time you like, 'cus I have plenty of time!

Re: Battle of practice (Din Fire)

OoC: I'm going to apologize before hand for my short post. I'm busy lately and having trouble keeping up with the large flow of posts in the BA.

BiC: Karaza looked at Ithilungwë and smirked. He waved his hand signalling that he was ready. "So shall I train you too?" he asked Ithilungwë. He shook his head no. "Well, I suppose we can just fight then." At this Ithil nodded his head and agreed. As Karaza readied his first attack, he saw the moon arise from over the horizon created by the mountain. And as he stopped to look at it for but a second, he heard blood curtling screams that came from Ithil. As he turned quickly to see what the problem was, he saw Ithil's body thrust upwards as two black wings came out of his back.

As the screams came to an end, Karaza jumped backwards. "A vampire," he said quickly. "so this will be a challenge after all." he smiled at Ithil as the vampire looked him over. Without warning, Ithilungwë used his new wings to fly high into the air, most likely suspecting Karaza would be unable to catch him. However, he did not look surprised as Karaza followed using the aid of telekinesis. For a moment Ithil turned around in the air, and as the two passed the tops of the trees, he saw the light of the beautiful full moon. He smirked for a second and then raised his hands to his face. Karaza watched as waves of purple light shot from Ithil's hands. The light made him dizzy. As Karaza began to close his eyes, Ithil smirked and looked down.

"Look Aira," he called to Airanárë. "I've got him under hypnosis. This should be a piece of cake now." he said as he lowered himself downwards, signalling Karaza to do the same. As the two landed on the ground Ithil could see that Airanárë had a worried look about her.

She frowned and walked backwards, away from Karaza. "Ithil, I don't think that was such a good idea. Now he's under your control, but you have no idea wether or not he'll stay like that. He seemed really strong of will." she pleaded with Ithilungwë but to no avail. He walked over to Karaza and put his hand on his shoulder. Before he could move, Ithil felt Karaza grasp his wrist and tighten his grip. Aira let out a small shreik and shot a fire ball at Karaza, who at getting hit in the head let go and shot Airanárë a foul look. She had forgotten that the fight was not serious and had interfered.

"That was annoying," Karaza said as his eye began to twitch slightly. "I thought I was fighting Ithil and that you needed a break. If you're not going to be able to decide who fights perhaps I should just fight the two of you." but at the offer Ithilungwë stepped forward and shook his head.

"No, I will fight you. Aira didn't mean anything, she just forgot that you didn't intend to hurt me." Ithil explained, but after hearing this Karaza frowned. He walked slowly over to Ithil and looked him in the eye.

"Ithil, you have it wrong. This is not a serious battle. That does not mean I can't hurt you, it merely means I must refrain from killing you." Karaza spoke seriously but also with a hint of humor in his voice. He found it funny that Ithil did not understand his ways of fighting. Perhaps for this fight Karaza would have to be flexible.
