The Blood of the Innocent (Duel)

Time: High Noon

Place: A drained lake of a fairly large variety. The bed is muddy and covered in filth, algae, and necrotic matter.

Opponent: Triofagra (Malony)
------------------------

Kedisar's thick, black armor clanked together with every step he took; the chainmail below it tinkled like little windchimes. His aegis made him look gargantuan, standing well over six and a half feet. His suit lacked a helm, revealing his rather young but incredibly malefic face.

"The bastard said there would be one here..." he grumbled to himself, clenching Channel in his right arm. It was an incredibly large, almost gigantic cleaver that would dwarf most blades. Channel was crafted from Nylus ore, a contrast metal of mithril. Still strong and light, but not imbued with the gift of brightness, but with the draining powers of darkness. Perfect for angents of death.

He then heard a footstep behind him. This was budamen territory, and he knew it would be one of them. Today, he would drink the mana-saturated blood of one of them.

Kedisar licked his lips and turned around to face the budaman, his fangs poking slightly out of his lips.

Re: The Blood of the Innocent (Duel)

"I know you would come", Triofagra said when she got close to the intruder.
"You knew that? How intersting. Let me keep in my mind", Kedisar answered with stiffed attitude.
"Sure, keep in your mind where I can see it", Triofagra replied by sending out a telepatic thought to Kedisar. She could see by the look of his face, that he did not expected that.
"What's the matter, have you never met a Budamen before?" she asked him, still just using her mind. Kedisar became unsure on how to reply this strange form of living. After som secons he replied by using his voice:
"Actually, you are the first one I meet this close, and you are the first one on whom I shall feast on", he replied.
"Let us see about that, be prepared to be defeted, indtuder, Becasue I shall never give in", Triofagra said, still with her calm mind voice.

Kedsky liked the place the battle would take place, and was sure that if would fit him just perfect. He did not look as creepy where he stand in the mud, with his black armor partly covered with dust and mud. Triofagra on the other hands was used to this terain, and stayed perfectly clean.

"I am prepared to give you the hounder of the first attack", he Kedisar said to triofagra.
"No, you are the guest here, and the guest is the one who start", she said, adn with that she prepared her engerysheild for hte comming attack.

Re: The Blood of the Innocent (Duel)

Kedisar trudged to her slowly, his armor weighing him down significantly. He held Channel at his side, and then Triofagra noticed something new about the weapon. Upon its top rim, the blunt part, three runes were deeply etched and painted with black ink. What their purpose was, Triofagra didn't know. She let her mana flow through her body and her energy shield strengthened tremendously.

She knew the barrier would deflect just about anything, and Kedisar's weapon didn't look very special. It would be no problem.

The young naiad warrior finally reached her and placed his palm upon the force field. He pressed against it, examining its strength.

"It's quite powerful." he said quietly and then raised Channel above his head. He slammed it against her shield, but there was no result. Triofagra smiled and strengthened the barrier even further.

Kedisar only grinned at her. Suddenly, her barrier's energy concentrated to his blade, almost as if it was being drained.

It was.

The force field suddenly sucked into his weapon, surrounding it in a shadowy black aura. The cleaver cut through the air, however Triofagra rolled to the side and the blade only struck the earth. Then, she saw something peculiar. One of the three runes on Channel's ridge has begun to glow. What would happen if all three were activated? She wondered.

"Triofagra, did you think I would come hunting a budaman without a special weapon? Channel is a wizard-slayer!” His eyes seemed darker now, set back in his head and shrouded in shadow. Triofagra couldn't help but feel disturbed by his malefic presence; he was so cold and wrought, like a lost demon.

Kedisar trudged to her again, gripping the cleaver in both hands this time.

Re: The Blood of the Innocent (Duel)

"Hu, that sure was a really dangerous piece of wepond", triofagra complained to herself. The mysterious thing, the Channel had drained all her mana used to hold up her energysheild. Witout it for some time, the fight would become far more risky now. This made Triofagre re-orgineze her plan for this fight, now her defence was her attack. She still had enough energy to make attack, and if she only could try to avoid that wepond she was sure it would go her way in the end.

"Kedisar, prepare youself for loosing controll of yourself. They say it is like having a nightmare. You are the main character in the story, but you can not do anything to stop it, just hope that you will wake up from it soon", Triofagra said, using her mind to send away the thoguht to Kedisar.

This time Kedisar did not get so suprized, he remembered that strange abillity. With a calmnes in his face he answered her:
"Show me your moves, and I will defend".
"As you wish, sir fish", and directly after that Triofagra got ready to attack her opponent.

She stod right in the middle of the drained lake and and watched Kedsar. He too was watching his opponent wondering how to best defent against a Budaman. Was it with the blade, or with some of his other skills? With a closer look he though he opponend looked rather weak, so he decied to just defent with his Channel. It seemed to work well on her magic attacks. He stroke the shaprd peice of wepond, and removed some spots of dust. Then Triofagra closed her eyes, right in that moment Kedisar felt a strange feeling. He was paralyzed, he could no longer move as he want to. He tried to lift his channel but it was useless, instead if fall to the ground. Triofagras blues eyes had now open. She looked at her victim tha now was controlled by her mind, he was her slave. She smiled and grined when she saw that his face turned more and more desperad. And then it come, a great punh from kedisar himself that caused him pain, and thare were more to come. At a rapid pace Kedisar beat himself even blued. Blood was floading from several wounds from his face, but he still stood on his feet.
"You were a though one, not many would remain standing after beeing that badly beaten"; she said with clear voice. "But allow me to change that", she sneered and suddenly Kedisars legs could not hold him any longer. He fell to the ground.

But after that Triofagra needed to recover. The curse of Kedsky drained away, and he slowly toke controll of his body again. In his head he could still hear Triofagra sneer.

Re: The Blood of the Innocent (Duel)

"Damn psionics!" Kedisar thought to himself as he stood up weakly. He had a defense, though. Hanging from his back was a large, grotesque helm. He quickly lurched forward, stooping down, and the helmet slung onto his head. It matched his other armor perfectly, crafted from the same unholy material. However, a large, white rune was etched in the forehead of the armor. A rune of repellent, a rune that blocked his mind from the outside world.

"All your belief cannot absolve your sin," he said to her in a muffled voice through the metal. "Now come here, and quit playing mind games."

Triofagra was relitavely unimpressed. Kedisar's collossal armor, while causing him to be impregnable to just about anything, forced him to walk at a slow trudge. She would just run from his cleaver, he couldn't catch her. Kedisar chased after her, swinging Channel heavily, but hitting nothing.

Kedisar stopped, frustrated. He ripped a black gauntlet from his right hand, holding it in his left. His blue fingers suddenly were enshrouded in ribbons of translating green energy.

"I am not the only sorcerer here."

From his hand, a large, ethereal skull surrounded in the same sick energy lept forward, trailing after Triofagra. Before she could react, it slammed against her and wrapped her body in the glowing ribbons. Everything around her exploded in bright green magic; she could feel her soul tearing apart.

The magic then dispersed, but her body still was worn from the death coil. She felt... older, more withered.

Kedisar fit his gauntlet back onto his hand and gripped Channel in his hand, preparing to charge. If she could see his eyes under his visor, she would see them immolated in red flames.

Re: The Blood of the Innocent (Duel)

"Do you really think making me older will do any diffrence, Mister Kedisar", Triofagra asked him with her superior vioce that could have made even the strongest chracter feel weak.
"Yes, I do you think I am that dumb that I will waste magic, if I did not know it would work", he replied quckly, feeling anger rush to the surface.
"I do not think, I know. Don't you get it? I can see all or your thoughts. I know you inner fear, I know you what you desire, I even know you better than your own mother that once gave birth do you!", Triofagra said and raised her voice.

After that Kedisar gave after for his frustration.
"I am going to eat you alive, I will enjoy killing you slowly, peice by peice", he souted and tossed his black helmet far away.
Triofagra could now see he eyes glowing red with and very intense flame. It gave a scary look of a fourios Warrior, and Triofagra become rather chockedby this. In his thought she could only see darkness. This darkness did not block his mind, but it made it somewhat harder to see.

After getting rid of a haevy peice of armour Kedisar rushed towards Triofagra. This time he was ws not beeing slowed down very much. Triofagra could see him comming and was ready to charge her energy sheild. To late she remembered that it was out uf function. She tried not to think irriational while Kedisar came even closer with his dreadfull wepond. But who would but be scared seening this form of living caming closer bradising his channel? To late she discovered that she had to defent with her knives. She had four arms, but only two knives.

There the first attack came. Kedisar made a migthy swing with his sharp blade aiming for Triofagras softer parts. With a sigh of relief Triofagra was capeble of dodge the strike. She could feel by the air that the wepond was beeing swinged right inront of her.
"I might not be that lucky next time", she admited to herself. She knew she was to sloe to be able to dodge his nextcomming attack.

Her mana had repidly decreased during Kedisars earlier attacks, so she could not really taking over his mind right now. She needed more rest. But could she survive that long, until she ragain the controll? Kedisars second attack did also fail, and triofagra could feel how his frustration grown even higher. Then she suddent felt lucky, she know that this was the to chance. Before Kedsiar could come closer for a new attack, she throw a knife an Kedisar's exposed skin around his throat. And her feling had been right, she was able to hit the throat. She coudl feel how the sharp edge was penetrating his fleah and become barried inside him. Kedisar let out a groar from the pain, the the knife made him stop quckly.

Re: The Blood of the Innocent (Duel)

He whipped from her, delivering a hard punch to her chest with his heavy gauntlet. She flew back several feet and smashed against the muddy, slimy earth. Kedisar drew the knife from his neck and licked the blood from it's blade.

He laughed. His entire face seemed to suddenly become withered and gray. His eyes turned thick and dull, his skin loosened, and his flesh peeled form his bone. With a massive explosion of red light, his armor filled with energy. Kedisar's black skull could barely be seen through the halo.

The energy then wisped away into the shadows, revealing the armored skeleton of Kedisar. His eye sockets glowed with malefic crimson energy and his sword had seemingly become larger -if that is possible- in size.

"Mortal," he said. His voice came from every direction, a booming, deep, and haunted sound it was. "Prepare to face the unimaginable."

ooc: Sorry for the short and rather lame post... =<_<=
