Battle of Swords- One challenger. (Not VacumGod or Safer...too many fights with ya'l)

OoC: Listen. I want to fight someone who doesn't dissapear for five days in a row! I would like someone who will post a least every hour at most, two days. I want this long and dirty, not short and sweet! Well now that I've got that down... lets dance.

BiC: Drago swiftly ran through the forest. He sensed a disturbence in his domain. He brung out his sword and shield. He saw someone running in the oppsisite direction. "Humans? Beast? Or monsters?" Drago whispered as he ran towards the intruder. He jumped into a large Oak and rolled off of it unto the ground. "Fools... entering my realm and expect to escape!" Drago landing silently on the ground behind the intruder. The person turned around and gasped seeing a black dragon. "Prepare to die!" Drago roared as he lunged for his prey.

Re: Battle of Swords- One challenger. (Not VacumGod or Safer...too many fights with ya'l)

OoC: Well let's see if I can give you what you're looking for. I am around about every day, anyway. I'll be using my first and fav char Aurora.

Aurora looked around her at the strange forest. She wasn't sure how she'd gotten here, but she got the distinct impression she wasn't welcome. The woman decided to leave as quickly as possible.

"Fools... entering my realm and expecting to escape!" Aurora spun to see who the speaker was, surprised to see a 6-and-a-half-foot black dragon. "Prepare to die!" It hissed as it lunged for her.

"No, wait... !" she started, but stopped, diving to the left in order to escape her assailant's attack. She rolled expertly to her feet from the dive and spun again to face the enormous lizard, her hands up, signaling she was currently unarmed. "I'm not...!" Sadly, she was again interrupted by an attack, and sidestepped to the right, avoiding the downstroke of the sword. The dragon followed her movement, and recoiled, using a backhanded sword strike to create distance between them again.

Instead of leaping back, the summoner came even closer, catching the sword arm deftly in her hands. Without stopping, she redirected the dragon's strike, guiding the arm behind his back in a perfect shoulder lock. Her black attacker gasped, dropping his weapon, as a jolt of pain shot through his near-separating shoulder. She didn't want to harm him if she could help it, so she stopped cranking, but manitained a steady pressure as she kicked the sword safely away. "Look, I just want out of here, okay?"

Re: Battle of Swords- One challenger. (Not VacumGod or Safer...too many fights with ya'l)

OoC:Good good... this will be fun!

BiC: Drago was somewhat confused. She didn't want to fight? Drago weighed the odds of that being an insult but it didn't do much. He finally stood up and turned around. He stared at the mortal taking in details. Drago nearly choked when he saw the dragon around her waist. He held his hand up to her but when she didn't move he knew he didn't know him. "I am Drago Universi... and you are in my forest." Drago said calmly. The woman replied, "I'm... Aurora..." Drago walked over to his weapon and picked it up. He turned back to her and leaned over to her ear and asked, "Fine... we won't fight... but will we Duel?" She seemed puzzeled by the question. Drago sighed and said, "You know, a battle that you don't kill the opponent?" She nodded and Drago walked away and turned back around. "Let's see what you can do!" He roared jumping at her. She prepared for his charge.

OoC: Ok. You get to start the fight... let's roll!

Re: Battle of Swords- One challenger. (Not VacumGod or Safer...too many fights with ya'l)

OoC: Try re-reading the bio. The dragon is a bracelet around her wrist, looking like an ivory carving, but you probably won't even see Valron in action in this fight. No one in the BA has as a matter of fact. No insult intended, it's just that the summoner's code prohibits her from allowing her summon to fight directly in a battle, unless it's against another summon. That doesn't mean she doesn't have plenty of tricks up her sleeve, though.

Okay, here we go.

BiC: She wasn't puzzled by the concept of a duel, or practice battle. Rather, she was interested in the strange reptile's reaction to Valron. Her summon was merely posing as a bracelet, which he did, unless she released him to act otherwise. It was safer that way, for everyone. This Drago seemed intrigued by the shape of her choice in jewelry, most likely wondering if there was any significance to it. Well, he didn't know her nearly well enough to be privy to that sort of information.

"Let's see what you can do!" Drago roared, as he leaped at her.

Aurora smiled serenely as the dragon charged her. Ah, inexperience., she thought, dropping to a defensive posture. She watched a victorious glint come to the dragon's eyes as she seemed to steel herself for his attack. But, instead of meeting his attack, her defense melted before him. She once again caught his descending sword arm, as she stepped under his incoming assault in a wide, low horse stance. The summoner then caught his right leg at the knee with her other hand. Driving upward, she drove her shoulders into the dragon's stomach, sending him flying up and over her head and into a nearby tree. A fireman's carry throw, simple, effective against someone who moves in high and way too fast, but not something she'd try on the same person twice in a row. Far too flamboyant a move to repeat. He seemed to be planted firmly there, facing her, head down, for a brief, comical second, before sliding to the ground.

"Never charge an opponent, Drago," she pointed out as the dragon righted himself, "especially one who's abilities are unfamiliar to you."

The young dragon didn't seem to be listening much, however as he charged at her once more. This time, he used a slashing attack, bringing his sword in a horizontal arc aimed at her seemingly unprotected flank. The woman stepped into his attack once more, now turning with the swing of his sword arm. Now, her back was to his stomach, and a simple tug to help the attack along, coupled with a sweep of her right leg, sent the big fellow spinning feet over head to the ground again. A sweeping-hip throw, good against a circular type of attack. She offered Drago a hand up. "I told you not to charge," she repeated good-naturedly.

OoC: I'm curious about Drago's character. So, I'm leaving the next move to you. Will Drago accept the hand up, and/or the advice, or will he start losing his temper? Aurora's a teacher at heart, so she's bound to offer some constructive criticism. But, how's Drago at taking a little friendly instruction?

Re: Battle of Swords- One challenger. (Not VacumGod or Safer...too many fights with ya'l)

OoC: Hm, ah yes Drago's ways of excepting help... slim to none!

BiC: Drago was thinking to himself quicker than ever before. What kind of fighter is this? Strange... maybe Apocalypse knows something... Drago thought to himself. Aurora was waiting for Drago's reponse he was zoned out. Drago snapped back to reality and looked at the hand and thought of her advice. "I'll not accept charity or help but I'll take advice any time!" Drago roared as his wings shot open lifting him to the ground. He took in her advice and held his hand up. What's he doing now? Aurora thought as he murmured some words quitely. His hand began lauching beams faster than light. Aurora quickly dodged each beam slightly moving closer to Drago. When she was right infront of him he swung his left hand at her and shot a larger beam from his right. She ducked under his left hand and jumped to the side to dodge the beam. Drago roared in anger. So he also has a short temper... Aurora thought to herself. Drago laughed quitely to himself then threw his arms and devil tail towards her opening his wings in a circle to trap her. Drago was getting closer... closer!

OoC: Will Aurora be hit or will she some how get out from Drago's terrible grasp? Keep a Dragonio angry and you'll see how races fell before them...

Re: Battle of Swords- One challenger. (Not VacumGod or Safer...too many fights with ya'l)

A little smarter, Aurora thought, at least he's trying to keep me from sidestepping him now. The only question is, how long should I let this continue before I head back to the Dome? She debated silently as Drago's wings flanked her on either side. I suppose I can play a bit longer. This is getting fun. The dragon should have taken the hint when she neither flinched, nor tried to retreat at his oncoming attack. Sadly, he didn't begin to feel the gravity of his situation until his arms reached her, or rather... they didn't.

The dragon's eyes widened a little as his arms and tail circled around her, but somehow, failed to make contact with the woman's fragile looking body. His entrapment had stopped mere inches from her small form, as though she had been encased in an invisible bubble. After a split second of contemplation, Drago's eyes met Aurora's clear blue ones, just as the summoner wiggled her eyebrows mischieviously at her young opponent, much to his confusion. And, just before a well-aimed side kick sent him flying backward once more.

The black reptile rose, rubbing his stomach a little, and growling angrily. "What the hell are you?!"

Aurora smiled disarmingly. "I'm human. I'm a woman. I'm a martial artist. I'm a teacher in a training ground called The Dome, someplace you should definitely visit sometime. Umm... You're going to have to ask me slightly more specific questions than that. Otherwise, I'm afraid we could be here all night, and I really do need to get back to my students." She gave the dragon a playful wink, and waited patiently as he debated his next action.

OoC: As you can guess, I'm dating this fight just before Drago goes to the Dome. This way, if he ever runs into her there, he can ask her questions, or talk with her, or whatever. That is, if he doesn't decide he hates her guts. I'm not sure why he would, but he seems a bit temperamental.

Anyway, your move. I hope you're having some fun, too.

Re: Battle of Swords- One challenger. (Not VacumGod or Safer...too many fights with ya'l)

OoC: Mm, yes I agree with that. Well, now I challenge you at your own game!

BiC: Drago shifted his weight unto his other foot. I do not like this human... she's different. The dragon thought to himself. She waited for him to attack but of course he knew she would just somehow get back at him. Drago smirked as he got an idea. He held his hand out and Aurora thought he was going to launch a Hand of Chaos attack again. His hand opened in the middle and Aurora prepared herself for the never ending beams. Drago closed his eyes as the hole in his hand became larger. Drago suddenly snapped his eyes open as a giant black dragon rose from his hand. "Come to thee... Apocalypse!" Drago yelled as he lept upon his great beast. Apocalypse was a large black dragon with emerald green eyes that can shoot black flames from his mouth, but many fear him because of his dark aura. The dark aura makes it where no magic is effective on him, whether it to sheild the user or attack Apocalypse. His claw range is extremely large not to maention how wide it is. The dragon's only weakness is light, or more like a dragon that wields the light ability. So he's a summoner to... Aurora thought as she braced herslef before the great duo.

OoC: I'm not sure how her dragon works so you can do that. I also agree this is fun.

Re: Battle of Swords- One challenger. (Not VacumGod or Safer...too many fights with ya'l)

He DARES to call upon a summon against an unarmed human! Valron fumed telepathically as he constricted slightly in anger around Aurora's wrist.

Don't worry about it, Valron, the summoner thought in return. This isn't the same as in our world. There's no connection between them. This dragon is just a pet. She considered the aura around this new threat. A dark elemental. An over-element, but she took it as no surprise considering its master. Sadly, it appeared to be a one-trick pony. It was a shame, really. Aurora sighed at the letdown. This is why we train apprentices in multiple elements.

Valron snorted in derision. Are you expecting me to play with it first? His tail twitched playfully under the sleeve of her robes. It's been a long time since I've stretched, you know. Not that I'm complaining, this is my favorite spot. He snuggled in again.

Aurora chuckled to herself, looking up at the two black dragons. They hung suspended above the forest canopy watching her through the space above the clearing where they fought. No, I'll take care of it, dear. No use in your chipping a claw.

Drago must have seen her entertained reaction. "You now find amusement in the face of death ITSELF?!" he roared from high overhead.

Now, the woman laughed aloud, spreading her arms wide. "Are you and DEATH going to come down here and fight, or would you prefer I came up there?"

The smaller dragon seemed both taken aback and enraged by her nonchalant attitude, and for a moment, at a loss. She took his hesitation as an answer, and tapped into a larger portion of her own power. The summoner's robes billowed gently around her as she felt her chi flow more strongly. It had been a long time since she'd opened up with her own abilities. It felt good to stretch. Her gray robes flapped around her body as her eyes flashed to life in bright, glowing blue. Slowly, she rose into the air, and soon, she floated level with Drago, her brilliantly glowing eyes locked on his.

"Apocalypse, teach this mortal respect for the race of dragons!" The large dragon's green eyes narrowed as he belched a wall of black flames at his small target.

Aurora threw her hands in front of her, palms outward, as she focused a wall of her energy through them. She filtered and shaped the chi as it flowed outward, forming a bowl of pure light just as the jet of darkness reached her. Some of the black dragon's attack reflected back to him, but most was caught within light barrier, which Aurora closed behind it. Now, a large orb of energy hovered between the combatants. White light shined outward, but beneath the surface, the darkness swirled and pulsed, as though seeking an escape from its prison.

The majician then threw her hands out to the sides, and the orb floated serenely to her. She made a compressing movement, bringing her hands close together again, and the orb of energy shrank, eventually reaching the size of a large beachball and glowing even brighter. Aurora smirked at Drago's shock as she began to spin the ball of light and dark power on the tip of one finger.

On a whim, the youthful-looking woman bounced the orb into the air, bouncing it off her head, feet, and even hip, in an odd looking round of hacky-sack. "Wanna play, too, Drago?" she inquired playfully, kicking the ball toward her opponent.

Wisely, the dragons dodged the projectile, letting it fly over their heads. "Don't think it's that easy, my friend." Aurora advised, guesturing upward with one thumb. Drago looked up to see the glowing missle turn in a great arc and come hurtling back at them from above! This led to a merry chase, Apocalypse flying like some sort of over-sized acrobat, the ball hurtling after them. "Come on, didn't you ever play dodge ball as a kid?" she called after them.

Drago roared. "Enough of this!" and Apocalypse spun to face the threat. The bigger dragon braced itself for the impact, Aurora feeling it draw all its aura up in front of it.

Too bad it won't work, the teacher thought. The orb, instead of being stopped by the creature's dark aura, penetrated through it. The dragons' eyes widening in shock as the energy connected with Apocalypse's chest. The light pierced the dark elemental's thick armor, then exploded, causing the dragon to scream in agony, falling from the sky.

The summon hit the treeline with tremendous force, smashing through the branches and leveling a wide swath of forest before skidding to a stop. Drago woke from his daze, stars dancing before his eyes, to see Aurora, her eyes still blazing fiercely at him. The woman was squatting down before him on Apocalypse's head, her hands planted firmly against the dark summon's cranium. White light shown out from beneath her palms, ready to blast through the thick skull. The big dragon's breath rattled as it groaned painfully.

The laughter was gone from her glowing eyes as she spoke. "My power is not for you, and my secrets are only for those I hold most dear. You tried to provoke me, Drago. You wanted to see my true power, and you failed. Not only that, but you've caused terrible destruction in this forest you wish to protect. Stop now, send your pet back to its home, and either allow me to leave in peace, or fight me as a warrior wishing to test himself should.

"No more magic, and no summoning. Fight me on your own skill. Duel against me with your body, and whatever physical prowess you, yourself, posess, and I will do the same. But, do not threaten this place you've chosen to make your own, and do not try tempting me again. I have many students who would like to return to this Hyrule, and find it intact." Drago glanced around at the destruction to his forest, his gaze finally coming back to Aurora.

Her blue eyes looked deeply into the young dragon's uncertain ones, as though they could pierce to his very soul. Now, the slightest note of a plea tinged the reasonable tone of her voice. "Do not make me kill him, Drago. I'd rather you protected your home, than I."

OoC: The ball's in your court. Are we going to do more landscaping , is Aurora going to go back to the Dome in peace (maybe having made a new friend), or are they going to continue this like civilized beings?

Re: Battle of Swords- One challenger. (Not VacumGod or Safer...too many fights with ya'l)

Drago's eye twitched at this new threat. If she's human then I have missed alot... Drago thought as he sighed. Drago was very fond of Apocalypse and did not like the idea of losing him. He stared at Aurora thinking over this carefully. He felt a knot of anger and rage form in his head. "Fine mortal! I'll play by your rules, but no more of me getting slapped around!" Drago roared as Aurora gladly walked away from Apocalypse. Drago sucked Apocalypse back into Universi then unsheathed his sword and sheild again. He waited quietly for Aurora to move. Drago looked around him quickly for any advantages. He swiftly ran to the right and jumped off a tree towards Aurora. She braced herself for impact but at the last second Drago released his wings stopping him. He sliced and barely got Aurora's cheek. It seems he's gotten a little better. Aurora thought ready to return a attack.

OoC: Your move!

Re: Battle of Swords- One challenger. (Not VacumGod or Safer...too many fights with ya'l)

OoC: Sorry to leave you hanging, Drago. I don't think I can keep this fight going. Too many responsibilities at the school and elsewhere right now. It's been fun, though. I hope Drago doesn't hold anything against Aurora, she likes him well enough (despite his bad temper).

This is my last post here. I just hate leaving things unfinished.

BiC:Aurora wiped the small trickle of blood from her cheek. Well, he's taking me seriously now, she thought wryly.

Drago's wings caught an updraft that took him aloft, then the black dragon dove toward his opponent. Aurora dove to avoid him, but he pulled up at the last moment, flipping upright and following her with a slash of his sword. She spun to face him, raising an arm to block. Sparks flew as the Dragonic Edge struck the dragon-shaped wristband.

The black reptile didn't let up, showering blow after blow on the slowly retreating summoner. Aurora deflected them all with the wristband, soon the air was alive with flying sparks, like a swarm of fireflies, as the two battled up and down the length of the clearing. Drago roared in frustration at his purely defensive target.

Just then, Aurora tripped over a large stone hidden under the forest loam, falling to her back. Drago smirked at this sudden change in luck and moved to bring the tip of his sword under her chin. The woman kicked his hand, sending the sword flying, as she rolled out from beneath him. The Dragonic Edge embedded itself deep in a nearby tree. Drago made to dash for it, but the small woman seemed to spring up from nowhere barring his path.

"Now, we're even," she said matter-of-factly, then she planted a knee in his side, followed by a right-left punch to the gut, a right to the jaw and another roundhouse which caught his head on the rebound. Drago spun to the ground, hitting face first, but rolling over quickly as Aurora was following him down, ignoring the stinging of broken skin on her knuckles.

Strangely, a door poofed into existence between them. Aurora nearly ran headlong into it. Just a door. A very ordinary-looking one at that. At least, by Dome standards.

"Well, I guess it's time for me to go." Aurora said through the door. "It's been fun, but I have students waiting. Maybe I'll see you again someday." She opened it, and saw the dragon sitting on the other side. "Thank you, Drago." She gave him a respectful little bow, and closed the door.

The black dragon sprang to his feet. He looked around the door, but she was gone. Just as he reached for the handle, the door disappeared, leaving him once again alone in his forest.

Aurora stood in the now familiar halls of the Dome. She looked down at her bleeding knuckles and began the healing process. That was an abrupt way to call a time out, she thought to whoever was listening, and struck out to find her students.

Re: Battle of Swords- One challenger. (Not VacumGod or Safer...too many fights with ya'l)

OoC: Well thanks for the great battme! I'll finish this thread with what Drago thinks in the end.

BiC: Drago smirked then laughed loudly. "Well, that was extremely fun..." Drago whispered. That girl... I think that I will meet her again Drago thought as he summoned a few dragons to clean up the big mess he had made fighting Aurora. The black dragon grinned to his dragons as he said, "Maybe if I'm lucky we can meet again for a very different reason. She's too nice, good at fighting, and is quite beutiful... perfect!" Drago roared as he began cleaning up his mess.

OoC: Drago has feelings for someone?! . Well I leave at that, see ya!
