Battle in the Forest [random]

Ooc: I would like to test out Yissora.

Ic:

Yissora Zoreal, a troubled young woman was still in search of any hint of a clue to uncover what brutes had killed her mother and father. The forest was dense, the trees looking as if they were curling high over Yissora resembling a tunnel. The sunlight shown through all the space inbetween the tall, looming trees creating small yellow beams leading straight to the ground. The path was somewhat narrow, being able to fit about two or three people side by side. Broad leaves, pine needles and cones were sprinkled all over the ground and crinkled nimbly under Yissora's feet.

She felt at peace here.

Which was not a good thing.

This was not a feeling she wanted to embrace upon her journey. It was something her parents did not feel before death, and she was going to show them that alleigance. Many others thought this as unusual and meaningless, though it was not in her heart. But then again, how could she feel comfortable knowing that she had no idea where her family was? She also felt like she betrayed her village by leaving. She knew the villagers understood her means, but still she was not settled.

"Hm. . .maybe a sparring match would calm me." she said aloud, with a small sense of hesitance about her. She kept walking along though really wished she could get some training or something of the sort this day. "But alas, no one is here. Not a surprise. . ."

She continued to walk, as bored and restless as can be, waiting for something to happen.

IC: Lozzie sat up in a tree, eating away at the apple he had just recently picked. About 3 to 4 stories off the ground, Lozzie sat sprawled out on the branch that was supporting his weight. The forest stretched out for miles and Lozzie sat there watching.

Nothing ever happens out in the forest, Lozzie thought. I don't know why I continue to... wait a minute.

Lozzie looked ahead down a path leading to his tree. A teenaged girl was walking down the path. Is that a sword she is carrying, Lozzie thought. Maybe something interesting will occur today.

Lozzie sat there and watched as the girl walked along the path. The foilage of the tree acted as camoflauge for Lozzie and hid him from onlookers. As the teen drew nearer, Lozzie took the apple core from his he was eating and dropped it toward the ground.

*SPLAT*

What little of the apple that remained crashed inches in front of the teenager. This got her attention, as she started looking in every direction, wondering where the apple had fallen from. She continued on, Lozzie assumed, thinking that the apple had fallen on its own.

Lozzie moved swiftly along the branches of the tree, following the girl down the path and deeper in the forest. A clearing came off in the distance and teen stopped at a trunk located in the center of this circular clearing. The clearing was a large circle of tree located in the center of the forest. Large enough to move around freely. Lozzie stopped when he had reached a branch just opposite the teen facing her. Lozzie reached in his belt and grabbed a lightning ball and attached it to his Golden Dagger. He then struck the tree to which he was located and jumped to the tree closest. The tree began to sparkle and crackle and then split in half right down the middle.

Lozzie jumped back to the tree and grabbed his dagger. This caught the attention of the teen, as she moved toward the tree. Lozzie ran across the clearing high above the ground, until finally behind the teen. He climbed down the tree and stood at the opposite end. He reached in his belt, grabbed a small dagger, and tossed it toward the teen, landing in the tree, inches from her head.

The teen turned around. "Hey, that was just a practice toss. If I wanted to hurt you, I would have." Lozzie chuckled.

"Who are you," the teen asked.

"I am just a run of the mill marksman. Skilled in the art of anything swords or knives. And by the looks of it, you seem to be carrying a sword."

"Pretty observant. What it you who cracked this tree?"

"Might have been. What does it mean if I did?"

"Well, this forest wasn't created for you to destroy it."

"Well, then maybe someone needs to stop me from doing that."

The teen looked back at Lozzie. Lozzie gazed across the arena. The birds flew off in the distance. Both combantants stood there, waiting for the other to make the first move.

Yissora looked around the clearing, scanning every nook and cranny she could use to her advantage. The clearing was large and could hold a monmumental battle. Maybe she needed a break from it all. She decided that she would take on this new arrival.

She held the hilt of her bastard sword, in case she needed a quick draw and attack in seconds. She held the hilt tightly and formed her battle stance, her knees bent and one arm protecting her torso. She had a determined look in her eyes as she waited for a good onslaught.

"I am ready when you are. . ."

Yissora brought her wrists up and flicked them lightly. Within the span of a few seconds, Yissora was unseen and running at speeds incomprehensible. Her movement was light and quick. She climbed a tree, gaining a hawk's eye view of the terrain and able to see this new opponent's every move.

Of course this marksman did not know this. He was looking around, trying to find the young woman, but to no avail. Yissora chuckled to herself, just enough for the marksman to hear it.

Though she wasn't giving her self away. After, she jumped to another tree, messing with her opponent's attempt of detection.

"I'm waiting." Yissora could only watch him. "Well, I'm bored now."

In one quick, unseen movement, Yissora drew her sword and stuck into a branch. The only thing that could be seen was the blade, and the strong, yellow light being emitted from it. It was blinding. Not a soul would be able to see through it without sheilding their eyes. After, the sound of blades clashing was heard as a white shine of light streamed through Yissora's blade. It was now stronger than every before. With little, if not any effort, she would be able to cut straight through an opponent.

"Yes. . .might I know my opponent's name?"
