A Little Break[random]

OoC: Hey guys, this is my first fight in the Battle Arena, and i really want to do good. can someone please fight me? anyone can fight me, but id prefer it if just one did. whoever replies first. oh, and wen you post, also post the link to charactrer your using so i can know how to fight with him and use his character. I am using Terrin
my elven warrior. Here we go!

BiC: Terrin trudged through the dark woods. It had been a few hours since he had left HQ. He had told Joe he was just going for a walk, but Terrin's magic sense and muscles were tingling, and he was hoping to fight against a random bewitched animal to get his blood flowing. Although he could think of nothing that would be a challenge to his power. He knew this was to be expected, since he was who he was, but it did not make his situation any better. Joe was too tired to duel him, and he had nobody else.

He suddenly emerged into a little clearing devoid of trees. The elf strode purposefully forward, and stood in the middle of the clearing, looking around. The dark midnight sky above him was twinkling with bright stars.The dark trees were swaying, and a single leaf blew across his feet. Terrin looked down at it, but immediately after he had done this, his head snapped up again, and he drew out his two swords. His katana he held in his left hand, and the Yuathian Blade in his right. He pointed both blades toward the source of the rustling he heard. Somebody had been following him! But who? He sincerely hoped that it was nobody in league with Samlie. Even so, what if it was? Hadn't he just been aching for a fight?

If I keep up this attitude of mine im going to get myself killed, thought Terrin bitterly. The underbrush trembled again, and Terrin shouted "SHOW YOURSELF!"

And out the unknown figure did come.

"Who are you?" asked the bewildered elf.

OoC: Well, there it is! Hope someone fights me.

a shadow detaches itself from the trees and cautiously makes its way towards the wandering warrior. The moonlight struck the stange blades that the elven hunter wore on his arms as he weaved across the open field. "What is a baby doing in the woods all alone? Does he wish a challenge, all he has to do is ask Starfire." the lythe warrior replied half to himself.

OoC: okay Jon...lets dance

BiC: Terrin stared at the man named Starfire. As he emerged from the shadows, Terrin stepped back causiously. If this thing was to trifle with him, he would gore him without any second chances. Starfire smiled at him, a gleam in his eyes.

"You seem agitated," he said. "Do you wish to fight me?"

Terrin stared at Starfire, puzzled. He wanted to fight him? Terrin considered him thoughtfully. He did not want to kill him, he seemed alright. And he had been aching for a duel only moments before...

"Alright," answered the elf, twirling his swords. "I'll fight you. But not to kill, are we clear?"

"Crystal clear," answered Starfire. He lunged forward, swinging his swords at Terrin's head. Terrin flung up his katana and blocked the swing, stabbing in return at Starfire's dark stomach. Starfire parried the stab, then whirled to the side, his white blond hair flying in a frenzy. He struck at Terrin's other side. Terrin blocked that one also, then jumped up into the air, executing an unforgiving air spin kick to his head. Starfire flew back into a tree trunk, and slid to the ground. Terrin landed back down on the ground, and turned to face Starfire, who was turning to face him again. Terrin flung a ball of white energy at him from his palm, fast as an arrow. Starfire dove to the side, and the white light hit the tree with a resounding crack, leaving a smouldering hole right in the middle where Starfire's head had just been. Starfire began to weave his way toward Terrin again. Terrin fired bolts of lightning from his palms at rapid fire, still clutching his two blades. As his adversary dodged each shot with supernatural speed, Terrin thought he seems to be just as talented as me! Perhaps this will be an interesting fight after all.

Starfire reached Terrin, swinging his blades at him. Terrin caught the blades on his, but almost immediately felt them batted aside. He was forced to duck three swings to his chest. He backflipped a fourth slice, and upper cutted Starfire in the chin with his foot. Starfire was stunned for a second, but regained his composure, and rushed at Terrin, who was coming out of his flip. This time, Terrin was not ready for him, and Starfire slammed him in the stomach with a fist. Terrin flew back, and landed on the ground five feet away, staining his white overcoat with grass stains. Terrin looked up at the approaching figure, then leapt to his feet, brandishing his two swords threateningly, though a small smile tugged at his lips. This was indeed going to be an interesting fight.

"For one so young you have incredible skills and speed, and with that out of the way..."
Starfire lunged forward into a slashing roll but the agile Terrin was waiting for him. Terrin lept straight up and slashed down in a sparkling strike and he felt the blade dig into flesh.
Starfire broke the roll and flipped over landing on his back several feet away. he crouched over visibly and in much pain.
Terrin was surprised at the apparent weakness in his opponent and let his guard down for a brief second but that was all that the uninjured Starfire needed. The powerful elf spun around in a massive roundhouse kick to the astonsihed Terrin's chest.
Terrin flew through the air and smashed into a tree. He felt the breath leave his lungs as the tree fell overhead.
He looked up at his opponent and saw around his heavily scarred body a faint green aura. "Never let your guard down, boy, now back on your feet."
Terrin felt the rage boiling inside him and he lept up his breath regained and his youthful energy recovering from the blow.
A ball of lightning appeared in the enraged elf's hand as the veteren warrior stung a glowing arrow to his bow.
"A Standoff," both elves exclaimed at the same time.

Terrin immediately released the fiery lightning at Starfire. But Starfire was ready for him. He loosed the arrow, and it flew straight and true, hitting the line of lightning in the middle of the clearing before them. An explosion punctuated the night, and both elves were thrown back in opposite directions. Terrin smashed into the fallen tree again, and gasped, feeling his back crack slightly. Starfire smashed into the ground, and flipped over several times before laying on his stomach, panting for air. As the white light faded from the explosion, the injured Terrin stared at Starfire's figure lying in the dirt. Terrin was not decieved, and he stuck out the Yuathian Blade in front of him, holding his katana over his head.

"Spectacular, boy," snarled Starfire, pulling himself to his feet and brushing grass off of his cape. "You show great skill."

"Delightful," replied Terrin sarcastically. He was not in the mood to talk like an elf. For a brief few minutes, he just wanted to talk like the normal human he had once been. Although, his sarcasm would never leave him. He was not going to take Starfire lightly. He would fight as hard as he could until Starfire gave in, even if it took days.

In a sudden whirl of colorful bright green light, Terrin shot up into the air, too fast for Starfire to keep him in his sights. Before he knew what was happening, Terrin had launched his corkscrewing body from the air down into Starfire's chest fast as an arrow. He plowed him back down into the ground, and Starfire gasped, completely taken off guard. Terrin jumped back up when Starfire was laying in a small hole in the ground, still clutching his swords. Terrin spiraled back into the air, clutching his own two blades. He stared back down, wondering if Starfire could fly.

He soon got his answer, when Starfire's face lifted, and his body shot out of the hole at him. Terrin grinned, and shot at him at top speed. The two elves collided in midair, sending a small explosion across the clearing. Terrin was knocked back slightly, and he felt the tip of Starfire's strange sword slash across his face. He gasped and his head jerked back. Starfire had slashed him across the cheek, leaving a long, wide open bleeding cut. Terrin's raged fire in his chest, and he soared forward, Starfire waiting for his next move. Terrin rammed Starfire in the stomach, and Starfire gasped as pain lanced through him. Terrin had nearly broken one of his ribs. Starfire's weakened demeanor allowed Terrin to slash him in the arm, causing a line of blood to appear on his skin, staining his sleeve. Immediately after this happened, Starfire retaliated, and swung both swords at Terrin's head. Terrin easily blocked the slashes, and the two began to sword fight in the air.

The dueling sky elf, Terrin found his blade slashing air as the wounded Starfire took to one knee on the ground. The speed of the veteren warrior was so great Terrin began his swing before the departure but the quick blade was not quick enough. Starfire looked up at Terrin's silhouette against the moon and smiled.

Terrin floated slowly back to the ground still in shock from the sudden departure but Starfire made no move. He continued to stare with his strange eyes toward the full moon.
Terrin's eyes shot up to the moon that seconds ago had been only a sliver of silver. Surprise registered in his eyes as a moon beam came streaking down and stuck the clearing, making it like day.
"Stars of Old, Stars of New, Give thy servant now the Strength of thy Fire." Starfire chanted in Old Elvish.The strange greenish glow surrounded Starfire once again as he regained his feet and took his stance.

Terrin tried to hide his surprise as the lythe Starcaster made his way smoothly and cautiosly towards him. Terrin cracked his neck and charged recklessly at the strange elf but halted when his image blurred and disappeared.

WHAM! Starfire came down on top of Terrin's head with an incredibly malicious elbow slam and layed him out on the ground.
"And thats game."

Starfire starts to walk away from Terrin's body but stops and turns around to see the young halfling starting to rise with a strange fire in his eyes...

Not one to be trifled with, Terrin rose to his feet, the elven power now burning fiercely inside of him. Starfire thought himself better than him! He would not stand for this, not if he was Samlie himself. Snarling viciously, Terrin whipped his swords in the air in a strange pattern, and his form became blurry against the night sky. He left the ground so fast that it looked as though he had simply disappeared. Starfire whirled around, ready for him to be behind him for an attack, but instead felt his legs shoot out from under himself. He fell to the ground on his stomach, and was about to rise, when he felt hot white pain stab into his leg. He yelled in agony, and lay on the soft grass, panting.

A foot stepped in front of his face, as Starfire felt blood begin to pour from the stab wound that Terrin had inflicted. Starfire tried to reach back for the hole in his leg to see the extent of it, but instead, he saw a hand reach down for his. He took it with reverence, and was pulled to his feet. He stumbled on his injured leg, but Terrin caught him. Exceptionally embarassed, he yanked away from the fourteen year old elf, and surveyed him coldly. So, the boy still had some fire left in him? Be it with a hole in his leg, it did not matter. He would fight Terrin as hard as he could. Starfire still did not intend to kill him, and neither did Terrin, but both knew that this duel was starting to go up a notch. Stabs, slices, head hits...it was going to be quite a show to behold. Terrin knew this was not over. He crouched down, and suddenly without warning charged a ball of fire in his hand, releasing it before Starfire could see it. As the ball flew toward the air however, Starfire slammed it with one of his blades. The magic ball flew back over Terrin's head, and hit a tree, burning a sizzling hole right in the center of the trunk.

Both elves charged each other, swords at the ready...

The moonlight glared suddenly off the many blades as they clashed and both combatants were torn back from the wave explosion of magic released by the elven clash. Starfire lept up, regardless of his leg and charged forward only to find Terrin racing back at him. The blades strained under the weight and power of the blows the two warriors traded, blow for blow. Terrin felt slashes graize his face, legs, and arms as he himself felt his blade dig into his opponent.
Starfire suddenly lurched and disarmed himself and his opponent of their swords and started attacking each other with their fists, feet, and all their skills, their weapons laid discarded and forgotten. Terrin, using all his skill and youthful energies, could not find a way to penetrate the fighting style of the older, more experienced warrior. But the older elf did. With a huge chest thrust, Starfire cupped his hands in a summoner's grasp, heels of his hands touching and fingers curled, and slammed forward into Terrin's chest. He connected with an agonizing crunch and a green wave of power.
Terrin felt the rib that Starfire had wounded earlier snap under the malicious blow and landed on his back, writhing in pain. The earlier fire suddenly left both of them and Starfire fell to one knee and cried out, his leg wound flaring up suddenly and unexpectedly.
"You...are a...true war...ior...and I...misjudged...you...A boy...you are...not." Starfire managed to gasp out.
Terrin laid there, his body broken and wracked with pain. But he felt none of it, the warrior who so boldly challenged him had called him a man! Never before did he feel such pride and tears welled up in his eyes as his thoughts strayed to his father...

The two lay there for the whole night. In his weakened state, Terrin had not the strength to heal their wounds.


When morning did arrive, Terrin managed to pull himself over to Starfire, heal his leg wound, and heal his broken ribs. Although he could do nothing to stop the body aches both combatants now had. It was only six in the morning, and the sun was just peaking over the broken trees in the small clearing.

"That was some fight," said Terrin. "One of the most intense iv ever had. You are a true fighter."

"As are you," answered Starfire. The two elves shook each others hands, and both winced in pain as the fresh bruises ached on both of their arms.

"Well, I must get back to HQ," said Terrin. "Goodbye, Starfire. Perhaps we will see each other again some day..."

Starfire nodded to him, and both elves went their separate ways. Though in Terrin's mind, he knew that he would fight him again some day....

OoC: Jon, that was awesome lol great job. i enjoyed that little mini fight thingie. Lets fight again some time :cool:
