---------------------
BiC: A fourteen year old boy stood with his two swords drawn out. He remained motionless, except for the wind blowing his long black hair about his face. He had deep green eyes, and a hard looking face. He had seen many horrid things, and lived through them. A trained warrior, thought Kaid. He was intruiged by his silence, yet did not know what to make of it.
The boy held a long Katana and a strange sparkling blade Kaid had never seen before. It was perfectly balanced, and the width of the blade did not falter an inch. Kaid still remained unmoving, staring wearily at the silent boy.
"I am called Terrin," answered the boy. "I was about to ask you just the same question."
Kaid glared back at him, wondering if this was just a trick. This boy thought to talk to him in such a tone? who was he to do this? He wanted to find out.
"I am Kaid," he stated simply. The boy named Terrin stared at him. His motionless stature was beginning to unnerve Kaid.
"Why don't you just say something?!" blurted Kaid, finally getting fed up by him.
Terrin stared back, then said "why does silence make people uncomfortable?"
"Huh?" replied Kaid. This boy seemed wise, but an unmeasurable power radiated from him. What was it?
Terrin shook his head, a slight smirk on his face.
"You seem agitated," said Terrin quietly. "Perhaps a little fighting would get your blood flowing."
Kaid suddenly grinned. This boy thought to challenge him? Perhaps he would be good for a few laughs.
"Alright," laughed Kaid, moving forward. "I'll fight you. But not to kill, we clear?"
"Crystal," replied Terrin. Then he twirled his two blades faster than Kaid had thought possible, and lunged forward without warning.
