The Night's Waning Moon (ForeverKnight)
OoC: Okay, Jason, you'd better get on today, since you told me you would. Well, this is actually the intro I wrote for a fight with Sear, but that fight never really got off the ground because of my long absence. So...I'm just reusing it.
Light from the pale moon seeped through the oppresively close foliage of the treetops, gently caressing the earth. A myriad of stars dotted the black canvas of the sky, winking in and out of existence as sporadic clouds overhead obscured their brilliance for brief periods of time. Hardly a sound was heard for many miles around; the deathly quiet held the night in its uneasy embrace. Nothing moved; the whole of Nature seemed to hold its very breath, waiting for something. What that something was, Nature could not tell, but it did not have long to wait before movement captured its full attention. On a lonely hillock crowned with a sparse copse of baby pines, a silhouette moved into the faint moonlight, revealing itself to enthralled Nature. The silver moonbeams caught in the female Elf's flowing hair, accentuating the cerulean-highlighted, silver locks cascading to her waist. Her supple, muscular frame was garbed in snug, but comfortable, clothing that allowed for easy movement. The striking emerald hue of her eyes was displayed to the heavens as she perused the night sky for her favorite constellations. This was Sileya, the Elven warrior-maiden who wielded the sword of Dragons, the Dragonfire. To the north, Sileya spotted Lithiuan, the Silver Dragon that constantly guides travellers to their destinations. Sileya basked in the presence of one of the Great Dragons; everything seemed to fade around her except the radiant glory of the stars that picked out Lithiuan's body against the sky. Reflexively, Sileya stroked the hilt of her gorgeous, yet deadly, weapon. The moment of admiration and a somewhat reserved worship seemed as if it could last forever. However, this was not to be. A reddish glow off to the southwest caught Sileya's eye, and she reluctantly tore her gaze away from Lithiuan to look. Her breath froze in her lungs, and fear crawled through her very soul. The stars had formed into the dreaded Black Dragon, Slezyn. He was never etched out by the stars unless some horrible evil lay on the horizon. The sign of Slezyn was closely associated with destruction, chaos, death, and the underworld. Nothing even remotely good could come of his appearance. Sileya tensed and gripped the Dragon-entwined hilt of the Dragonfire. Icy panic clawed viciously at her heart, but she fought to keep it under control. The form of Slezyn seemed to glare maliciously down at her. The benevolent heavens had, in a split second, turned into a tapestry of foreboding. Sileya lost control of the panic and the fear, unwilling allowing it to overwhelm her. She took a few quick steps backward and, in the process, snagged her foot in an unearthed root, tumbling headlong down the side of the grassy hillock. She was met by a rather large boulder lodged in the moist earth at the base. Darkness crept into the edges of her vision; the Dragonfire lay a good distance to her right. Sileya's head lolled to one side, her chin resting on her left shoulder. With her shimmering hair framing her body and the moonlight illuminating her, she resembled some ancient and legendary goddess. As the black void of unconsciousness took Sileya, the glittering eyes of Lithiuan and the malefic eyes of Slezyn both gazed down upon the Elf as well as the solitary, shadowy figure stealthily moving in her direction. |

Re: The Night's Waning Moon (ForeverKnight)
Hah......j/k ok..yeah let's see if i can still do this....I'm gonna use Alexi...Ok..hear we go **such a cool smilie**Alexi stalked through the night, a feral anticipation implicating in her eyes. Her sanity had since vanished some days ago....awaking in a hypnotic state..and seemingly engulfed in the darkness that clouded her mind. The dark burning had taken her...leaving only death in her movements. As she neared the hunted, the darkness broke inside. It poured from her soul outward, engulfing her body. A dark mist surrounded her, pulsing with the night. The shadows licked around her body, nipping at her limbs like some hungry flame. The blood coated chains flashing from before her wrists danced around her body. She seemed a mass of hysteria, all in tune to the insanity coursing within her. Her eyes focused on the girl, and then to the dragon guarding her...a smile slid across her face. "This is going to be fun..." She neared the girl but the silver dragon remained ever vigilent. It snapped at Alexi as her bladed chains flew towards the girl. And with another smile the the shadows engulfed the chains, a black flesh growing around then. After sometime of a constant snapping of flesh and bone, a huge towering black mass erupted from the mist. A giant black dragon stood infront of Alexi. Apparently amused, she climed up to, her chains clasping to its neck. **I know I suck...Your move? haha can't think 2 much** |

Re: The Night's Waning Moon (ForeverKnight)
OoC: Jason, I’m ignoring the fact that you said I have a Dragon already, which I don’t. I think you misconstrued what I said about the constellations. But it doesn’t matter. Sorry about the delay, once again. We already talked about that at school. ^_^
BiC: Shifting the Dragonfire to her other hand, the Elven beauty stared in amazement at the girl in front of her. She blinked a few times to reassure herself that her eyes had not deceived her. This small girl had, in fact, summoned a great black dragon. How in the Elven Realms had she done that? The strange girl allowed Sileya no time for reflection, however, for she urged her creature forward with alacrity. Sileya was hard-pressed to dodge the raking claws of the dragon but managed to evade damage by leaping into one of the nearby trees. From her new vantage point, Sileya debated her next move. I could counter by summoning one of the sacred Dragons, but…I am curious as to what this girl can do. I think I’ll play around for awhile. Her course of action decided, Sileya plummeted from the leafy canopy in a whirlwind of silvery blade and lightning-entwined fire. She slammed into the depression between the dragon’s head and the start of its spinal cord. With a reverberating roar, the dragon reeled backward, tossing Sileya off its neck. The Elven princess landed lightly on her feet and watched with satisfaction as the dragon writhed underneath the smoking gouge in its neck. Her triumph was short-lived when suddenly, from out of nowhere, a blade-tipped chain whipped across her stomach and slung her into a tree trunk. Grimacing, Sileya glared at her assailant who sat expressionless upon the dying form of her black summoned beast. With her teeth gritted, Sileya slowly got to her feet, rubbing her stomach. Miraculously, only the chain had struck her rather than the deadly blade, leaving mere bruises across her stomach. The only other injury she had sustained was a few bruises across her back inflicted upon her by the tree trunk. Hmph. Little consolation that is. She’s still unscathed. |

And OMG some crazy stuff happened and not all of it was saved. YOu've read it though. I'll edit it later with the rest...but you can reply bc u know what happens.*****
The ebon dragon stalked towards the trees as Alexi was half-dragged behind it. Blood soaked the chains that held the creature to its master. The black haze of death continued to fog the night. Alexi’s mind swarmed with chaos. The shell of carrion diseased her mind, preventing the hope to overcome the doubt. She fought the other, trying to break free of the vice, but was powerfully dispatched by the beast. She screamed as she struggled within her mind, and her demonic beast echoed her call. It raised its wings in flight and leaped into the air. The girl watching from the trees contemplated her next course of action. Amidst thinking a blast of putrid rankness entered her nostrils. She saw the dragon open its glaring mouth and instinctively jumped from the tree. A huge cloud of carrion-like matter spewed from the bowels of the beast’s throat. All that remained of the once hiding place of the girl was a patch of shriveled stumps. The ground was black and vile, all life had been extinguished from the trees. Woodland animals lay dying on the earthen floor, stomachs expanded, and eyeballs sucked of blood and juice. The now hard panting Sileya lay view upon the rotting, diseased land. She was amazed at the potency of the creature’s attack. Unable to communicate with the girl, Alexi lay trapped within her own corpse. Sileya had shielded herself from Alexi’s telepathy, and sealing her fate Alexi mused. A dark voice rattled from Alexi’s lips. Mixing her sweet vocals with that of an untamed beast. Whye do ye run my beautiful creation? It only wishes to devour your succulent body. Hahahahha!!!!! Or perhaps you would rather die by mine own hands? Hmmm….? The night waned on. And the two warriors readied themselves. Through twisted, crackling flesh, the bladed chains unwrapped themselves from their fleshy homes. Blood once again flowed on the chains, but in reverse—upwards toward their original fountains. Breaking free, the chains twisted in the air, dancing to an invisible orchestra. The black flesh of the dragon slowly evaporated, giving off an odor of rotting flesh. The whole of the beast evaporated into a wisp of smoke, giving no reason to believe its existence except for the large area of dead wood. Alexi’s body convulsed as the chains centered home, wrapping themselves tightly |

Re: The Night's Waning Moon (ForeverKnight)
As the breeze whipped through the treetops, the battle between the two females ensued. Sileya had noticed the subtle change in the strange girl’s eye color, but she quickly filed it away as the girl descended upon her in a flash of steel. Parrying the initial blow, Sileya side-stepped and leapt a few paces backward. Her opponent moved like lightning and changed direction to lash out at Sileya. The Elven maiden gasped and choked back a few choice words as she felt the flesh of her upper arm sliced open. Blood flowed from the gash, and Sileya hobbled backward, holding a hand to her arm to help staunch the flow of life from her body.
Why is this girl even attacking me? I don’t think I’ve ever seen her before. What could she possibly— The Elf stopped in mid-thought when she realized the girl had disappeared. Suddenly, all Sileya’s senses were alert; she scanned her surroundings for any sign of her assailant. Taking advantage of the slight respite, Sileya poured a trickle of healing energy into her wound to close it. The pain still remained, but at least the bleeding had stopped. Refocusing all her attention to finding the girl, Sileya clenched her teeth together and ground them together in frustration. Where could she have possibly gone? Cautiously, Sileya crept into some of the nearby trees. She connected with the spirits of the Greater Dragons embedded within the Dragonfire for reassurance. Their comforting presences bathed her in what could only be described as a “warm, fuzzy feeling”. Her senses were heightened, but she still couldn’t locate the girl. Finally, Sileya became fed up with the wild goose chase. She prepared herself to burn a good portion of the forest to eliminate hiding places. Embracing the Fire Elemental Dragon, Pyria, she allowed the fire energy to flood her body. However, before she got a chance to ravage the forest with flames, immense pain exploded throughout her body. Everything went white, then black, and Sileya collapsed to the forest floor, unconscious and her mind completely unguarded and open.
