Rolling Thunder
ooc: Gah! Too much idle! Must fix! Character profile available on first reply to character list. It's a crappy intro, I know... but it works to start with, and my battle posts are more interesting. I promise!
BiC: The day had been nice, Tarhedron thought to himself, I was looking forward to a pleasant evening, but no, I had to foresee the cruddyness of the evening, and it no longer seems nice. He sighs. Might as well try and make the most of the day, while it's still clear. The area was rather clear. Nothing of any particular interest was nearby, except for the town a few kilometers down the path, where Tarhedron was traveling. There were a number of trees, although not enough to impede the sunlight upon the clay path. The sound of a few songbirds were audible over the rustling of leaves in the breeze, and the morning promised a pleasant day, but Tarhedron knew better. He knew that a storm was coming. A storm of weather, and of action. Someone approached.

Re: Rolling Thunder
OoC: I am so due to try back again... I hope KK, that I can give you a decent battle... but just remember, i am also trying to get back into this.
IC: Lozzie stood leaning against a building in the recent town of his travels. Lozzie had been in hiding for a while, trying to search for himself and his true destiny. After much thought, Lozzie decided that his search for duels needed to continue. Such a nice day outside Lozzie thought Not a cloud in the sky. Not too much action around these parts, maybe I should stir up the scenery a little bit Lozzie reached a Wind Spell Ball on his dagger belt. He placed it on his Long Gold Dagger and struck the dagger straight into the ground. Upon impact, the leaves began to rustle, and blow in every which direction. Even though that's an interuption in the calm, I think a battle will fill my action fix. Just then, Lozzie noticed a traveller far down on the path leading out of the town. He noticed from a distance that the traveller indeed was a fighter. His appearance, the staff poking itself from his back. The aura around him told Lozzie that a good fight was in his future. Lozzie noticed that the leaves that he had just stirred had reached the traveller down the road. He then pulled out a lightning spell ball, placed in on his sword, and started walking along the path, toward the stranger. The air around became moist, and storm clouds appeared due to the presence of a spell waiting to be unleashed. "Hey stranger" yelled Lozzie, "Are you looking for a challenge? I sense that you are lost in thoughts, and maybe a good fight could loosen your thoughts." The stranger stood there and looked at Lozzie, without a word spoken, the stranger stood back, and unleashed his staff. Lozzie, Long Dagger in hand, stood there as well. A small mist started to fall from the sky, as the two stood there, waiting for the first to move.

Re: Rolling Thunder
OoC: Crud. It's been nearly 2 weeks. Sorry 'bout that. Time for me to make something.
BiC: Silently, Tarhedron used a mental command and activated his helm combat systems, which made the eyes light up red. He allowed a couple of seconds to pass, to see if his opponent would make the first move. As he expected, the knife-bearing one did not. Therefore, Tarhedron began channeling energy into his staff, which he held vertical in front of him. As more energy collected in it, the crystal on the top, as well as the various gems on his armor, began to glow brightly. Lozzie chose this moment to strike, mostly because he felt like something bad was about to happen. He flung a dagger straight at what looked to be a soft spot in his opponent's armor. It flew straight and true, exactly where he intended it to go, and then, inexplicably, deflected away about a foot from its target. Lozzie was stunned for a split second, and in that time, Tarhedron raised and then swung his staff, causing a large glowing white ball of energy to sling toward Lozzie, who leapt out of the way, and the energy ball missed him by scant millimeters. As I expected, thought Tarhedron. Undetered, he began to charge his staff again.

Re: Rolling Thunder
This is going to be a little tougher than I thought Lozzie thought. He stood up, dusted himself off, and stood there, dazed. He looked behind him, and saw a tree far off, disintegrated by that white ball of energy.
Good thing that isn't me right now Lozzie thought. He turned around, and saw Tarhedron was out of sight. Where could he be. Lozzie looked around the path leading into town. Gazing around, Lozzie lay wonder to where his opponent had jettisoned off to. All of sudden, Lozzie was tasting dirt. A smaller ball of energy had hit him in the back. A crack of thunder could be heard off in the distance as Lozzie's Dagger let off the spell being charged. Lozzie lay motionless for a second, grabbed his dagger, and jumped up to find that Tarhedron was missing once again. He is quicker than I thought as well. He was nowhere to be found. Another ball of energy came whizzing toward Lozzie, this time, Lozzie caught the crackle of the ball, and ducked as the last minute, rolling to see Tarhedron behind him, staff raised in the air pointed at Lozzie. Lozzie grabbed a small knife, and lunged it toward Tarhedron's knees. The knife fell a foot in front Tarhedron once again. What do I need to do to defeat this guy Lozzie stood up again, not taking his eyes off of Tarhedron again for a split second. Both combatants stand there motionless. Both looking into each other's firy eyes, wondering who would attack next. Lozzie ran toward Tarhedron with full force. He raised his Gold Dagger high, jumped into the air and... *THUD* Fell inches away from Tarhedron's feet. The elder had cast a mind spell that stopped Lozzie's momentum while in the air. Tarhedron waved his staff, and a blast knocked Lozzie far from Tarhedron. Lozzie lay there motionless. Tarhedron lay in wait, preparing his next move.
