Re: I challenge Kishin!
(Been gone for a while for personal reasons, but sure I'd love to. Even though I haven’t the faintest idea of your character or even who you are. Hell why not.)
I watched the gloomy sun take a desperate downward plummet behind a chain of shadowed purple mountains, capped with snow at the highest peaks that pierced through the clouds to lead a soul to heavens gates. For hours I watched the mountain’s shadow spread across the plain, until darkness’s shadow was all around me. Only to stay there and gaze at the moon as it came conquering overhead taking the dim light field and changing it into a star showered plain of dark stillness. It was so quiet here that it made my ears hurt. Not even a friendly cricket to provide a sympathetic, yet annoying chirp. I didn't like that quiet that’s how I knew when something was afoot. And the darkness... How it played with my mind in ways I'd rather not say. A shadow moving here, a calm breeze there. The combining forces and my over imaginative-self creating panic-- pushing up the hairs on the back of my neck. A quiet night, there was nothing more unnerving, even to the likes of I Senju-nata am not without fear. But I knew my panic was for not. He had been watching me for some time now. Normally I could tell where he was at, but like I he hasn't moved for hours and I lost track of his location during my last daydream. One would think in a field flat as a pancake you couldn't miss a person in the middle of nowhere, but the grass was tall and gave great camouflage. "You can come out now... I know your there." I spoke with a thick voice expressing my utmost confidence in my tracking abilities, but woe I hadn't the faintest clue where he truly was. "What are you a bounty hunter or a glory hog? Which of the two?" I spoke again. How tired I was of these self-proclaimed warriors tracking me down like an animal. It was always the same thing time and time again. "I've come for your head Senju-nata! A head that has quite a price on it I might add." followed, by their annoying chuckle. Or "Senju-nata, the master swordsman I seek your title... or some pathetic line of the sort. Hmpf... If I knew I was going to be famous I would have never taken this route. Yet that ignorant brother of mine glorifies himself in his life of a famed assassin. I wonder if he's proud of what he's done. "Senju-nata... Prepare to die." He spoke, I knew him not, but by the looks he seemed somewhat skilled. It's hard to tell at first glance if a person is strong or not, but you learn to stop looking in the wrong places after a while and straight into their eyes. And from what I saw... He's seen a lot. Or at least what I could see. His eyes were the only visible part of him, yet I could see him clearly— not physical form, the lingering clouds floating above us prevented that much, but straight into his soul. "Well you’re not the first person that's said that, but I give you credit for thinking you can beat me. Unfortunately Credit isn't good enough. Show me what you got kid." As usual the voice of confidence, to hide the over cautious me. It's worked every time. It's amazing how much a little intimidating can do these days. "Oh don't be scared, why don't you come out. I already know where you... are!" Who knew... he was so much closer then I thought. Nearly right underneath my nose, and I didn't even know it... Who is this guy I thought. I didn't hesitate for a second longer, with a swift and nearly unseen movement my sword, the Kunsangi almost achieved a fatal blow to his throat, but met with something hard, something metal creating the loudest sound of clashing steel I've ever heard. Dragging it across whatever it was I sent a shower of sparks in his direction, but it was dark and I still couldn't make out his features. Only a pair of eyes reflecting the nearly nonexistent light. I'd have to wait for the clouds to part, best to withdraw for now. With that thought I wasted no time and took a hasty retreat kicking backwards into a serious of rapid back handsprings finishing it off with an aerial maneuver that was far past overkill. Landing with grace and dignity a noble man should with his Sword poised, kneeling, yet not knelt all the way. For he would never kneel to one the thought inferior, but would give still bow to show chivalry. And to top the dramatic scene that was unfolding my cape lifted in a perfectly time to flutter in the night wind. Sometimes I even amazing myself.
