Everybody gives him that cap anyhow, I guess I can't do anything about it. I wanna know who first gave him that because I'm almost positive he doesn't wear one in any of the books. I know he doesn't in the originals. I haven't read past the originals though, so. :/

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he doesn't wear them in the books, but they've long been a classic visual trait of his, so what can ya do?

AC:WW 08PM Guitar
This is just a test. I just imported my previously-made file of WW's 08PM and tried out this guitar soundfont I forgot I had. I think it sounds pretty good. It's probably the only guitar font I have that's useful for melodies.

Animal Crossing Wild World/City Folk/LGTTC Theme (Better)
Remember how I said I hated the lead guitar in the melody for the Wild World Theme I remade? Well, I fixed it, and I like how it sounds now a lot better.

But enough about me. Your doodles are great. I haven't gone through all of your stuff yet, but I can tell if you do more serious, complete, colored drawings, they would be even more epic.

Ha ha, thank you. Unfortunately, coloring is not my forte. Especially not in Photoshop. This will hopefully soon be remedied at least somewhat with the color theory and digital imaging courses I am required to take in the future.

But yes, practice makes perfect. And boy am I itching to practice in several areas.

I swear I'll have another drawing up here sometime in the future. But for now, more music.

Animal Crossing Winter Music Demo
First is a collection of a few songs I remade from the Animal Crossing games and winterized them. What does "winterize" mean? Well, to me, it means add a ****load of strings, bells, and tambourines. So there you go. I did it this way because the games' actual winterized versions are boring.
Also, this was compressed to start with and then got horribly butchered when uploaded, so it doesn't sound nearly as clear as the full versions.

Animal Crossing Remade Music Demo 02
I already have an AC music demo up there, but this one has a few different songs than the other one and almost all of them are now updated with instruments that are a million times better than the old ones. So whichever songs on this one that are the same should be improved anyway.
Again, it's a collection of some songs from the list of Animal Crossing songs I've remade in FL Studio, from scratch, using all sorts of soundfonts.
Same deal as the winter one-- this one's horribly compressed.

EDIT: I put up some images to more obviously separate the doodles from the music on the first page.


I'm not too happy with the drawing for the drawings picture (ironically), but whatever.
This is probably the first time I've drawn cartoon me not in a hoodie.
Also, you can tell I didn't give a **** about the chain on the pocket watch.

It's Four Swords again.
I messed with the brightness and contrast to make it easier to see (it was originally pretty light).

I swear, every time I draw the Four Sword it gets bigger and more proportionally incorrect. It looks like a big club now.

EDIT: I also fixed up the first post a bit.
I can only fit a certain amount of images in one post, so as many newer images as possible are thumbnails, while the rest are links. I just moved my entire album to Photobucket (Imageshack can suck a big one), so I figured I'd do that too.

Musical update:
Invitation of a Crazed Moon (unfinished)
The opening area music from Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin. It's a cool song, but it's hard as **** to recreate by ear because there's so much going on at once in the song. Listen closely to the organs in the background throughout the song-- those were really fun to do, but hard.

Your style is evolving, and this is proof of it. This is sharper and far less round than your other drawings, and it works MUCH better for your style. I'd like to see you make some comic strips since the simple, cartoon style you have would work very well with it since the characters already look so animated.

I tend to fluctuate between the two. I actually like both sharp-looking and loose-looking drawings, and I've gone back-and-forth between both quite often. I usually do certain features (like the head/eyes/nose) as round, but others (like the arms/legs and feet/hands) as sharp. I think the reason this one might look sharper is that it has that thick, sketchy outline around them all. I notice the drawings don't look nearly as slick if I try to clean them up and color them in a computer program like Flash or Photoshop or whatever (I almost always tend to prefer how they look as sketches, which either means I like how loose they look or I suck at cleaning up pictures).

I'd like to see you make some comic strips since the simple, cartoon style you have would work very well with it since the characters already look so animated.

I'd like to see that too, actually.
I haven't drawn a proper comic strip in forever, even though it's what got me into drawing in the first place when I was six or seven. I do have several series planned to be comics, one of which is that Four Swords one (sort of my own take on Four Swords, although so many people do it it's probably pointless for me to bother). I have at least two other (original) series planned to be comics. I just don't know if/when I'll get around to them.

Second, Invitation of the Crazed Moon is pretty solid, I like it a lot. Honestly though, please do something with the little "acoustic intro" segment, as I was really digging that, and then all the sudden INTENSITY. I also dig the bassline, but I'm a sucker for basslines in general.

Very nice job on the AC winter music stuff. I like all of them. The first for snowy nights, the second and third for January cloudy days, the forth for a billowy evening while rushing around, the fifth makes me think of a bigass fire, and the sixth is nice snowcovered afternoon music. That was a long sentence.

I dunno, I would have used it in a sig maybe if I didn't draw ridiculous ♥♥♥♥ing headphones on me. I'd rather my sigs have to do with drawing instead of music.

Tons of people have tried this before, so I might as well try it too.
I'm going to try to draw something every day. Doesn't matter what it is (they'll most likely be more doodles), but I need to get myself drawing more, so hopefully daily doodles will be a long-running thing.

One thing I will say is that even though most of my drawings put up are doodles (and are therefore drawn in haste or haphazardly), don't be afraid to give me constructive criticism. Please. I'm begging you.

A friend of mine and I have been tossing around ideas for a Paper Zelda. I'm sure it's been thought of before, but meh. I'm considering doing it, too (in Flash). We're getting some fun ideas.

Some random kid. Yeah, it sucks, and I mean more than most of my doodles. Whenever I try to create a character with really no specific idea in mind beforehand, they always end up being stupidly generic, anime-ish cliches. Boring.

Again, I beg for constructive criticism. I know it's hard to (constructively) criticize mere doodles, but anything will help and is appreciated.

EDIT: Oh yeah, there are going to be days where the doodle I draw is going to incorporate things I'm not willing to show yet. So, uh, I guess you'll just have to trust that I did them on those days.

First one is cool. You should add color to it.
Second one is kinda meh, mostly for reasons you already stated. It looks like a generic pokemon trainer guy. But it still looks fine porportion-wise and stuff.

I'd normally say that would ruin it even worse, but with this particular one, it's almost made to be drawn in Flash, so it actually might come out halfway decent. Sooner or later I'll end up making character models for them in Flash anyway, in case we decide to start tinkering with the game.
