I thought this thread was all but dead, but I guess not. With that in mind, I'll put up some more pics tomorrow.

*salivates* Where's a Mattocks when you need him? I'm hungry now, and even hungrier from the pictures and descriptions.

EDIT: Now I remember why I haven't got anything new up. My cmputer is barely crawling let alone working well enough to open photobucket. I'll post them next time I'm on the good comp.

WOOO double post. I'm finally getting some new pics up

I don't think I've posted any of these yet, and if I have...well enjoy them again.

First one is a banana creme caramel with some sliced fruit as garnish.


Next we have broiled lobster tail and restuffed tomali with bay scallops in a seafood sauce.


Here are beef and salmon wellington (not a great pic presentation wise, I missed getting a pic of the good plate)


Those were all from a dinner I did at school. There was also a risoto, but I can't find the pic of that.


This is curried lamb tenderloin with mango chutney and rice pilaf garnished with fried onions.

Okay, now so far it seems everyone's been loving my crepe. Here comes the new fav. Sweet french toast sandwich with orange whipped cream, strawberries nd maple syrup. LEGEN-wait for it

Well I've started school again, so I should have new pics every week.

Here's a salad I made today, can't remember what it's called, but it has pepper crusted tuna, mixed greens, boiled eggs, artichokes, tomatoes, potatoes, a simple vinagrette, and a whole bunch else.

I'd love to contribute to this thread and not have Mattocks be the only person who is, and I do want to be a chef so, yeah. Unfortunately, I'm a scrub when it comes to cooking. I'm taking Culinary Essentials I....and I'm still on sanitation and safety. I've got a loooong way to go.

Well I don't think I'll be doing htem at school since my class this semester is mainly cold kitchen, but if I make any I'll post a pic up just for you Ginger.

This all looks quite wonderful and your plating is really pretty. I love all of this.

My only problem with you, and this is the same problem I have with Food Network, is that although your food is beautiful, I can't eat any of it.

Well the great thing about Foode Network, is that they usually tell you how to make everything. I can too if you want to know any of these recipies. It's a lot easier than most people thing. It'll still taste great even if it isn't perfect, or plated nicely.

More pics! I found a bunch I've never posted, only the last ones are from school this week.


Nothing special about the spaghetti or hotdog slices. But that was the first time I made tomato sauce on my own. It was really good to my surprise, and I kind of like how the plate looked.


Parfait made with vanilla and strawberry yogurt, kiwi, blueberries and chocolate mint. Quite good.


Another alio olio. I make these a lot, verry easy, uick and tastey, in fact, I think I'm going to make some for lunch!


This is what I did in class yesterday. It's a ruben sandwich with a pancetta ceasar (dressing made from scratch), and some cross cut chips on the side. If you want to know more about my exciting day yesterday, you can read my rediculously long post.

You could have a thread like this too!

The spaghetti was bought, like I said nothing special. I don't really enjoy making pasta my self all that much.

There are some really good dried pastas on the market. There are also some really bad home made ones (most of mine woulf probably fit into that).
