Re: Zelda Fanart: Painted Jeans
Lol, I think that's actually really impressive. Epona looks great. Link could use a little work, as well as your background, but overall it looks really well done in my opinion. I'd wear if I had painted it.

Re: Zelda Fanart: Painted Jeans
For paint, that is quite a good job.
It's a good idea, but this may make you more prone to wedgies compared to wearing "cool" game pants. Wear with caution.

Re: Zelda Fanart: Painted Jeans
It's quite impressive. :3 Why didn't you just use fabric paint if you were planning on wearing them though? o-o

Re: Zelda Fanart: Painted Jeans
Ok to answer a few questions:
1. I wore them to school today and they didn't crack, thankfully. 2. It's acrylic so it won't wash off. I didn't have fabric paints and they're not too cheap around where I live so I just decided to go the cheap route. Ultimately the pants won't last long especially if I plan on wearing them, but it's fun while it lasts. 3. Also, this was a total out of the blue project and I didn't bother to research whether or not I should be using fabric paints in the first place. It's my own fault. It still looks cool. 4. I'll take a pic of me wearing them and put it up soon. |

Re: Zelda Fanart: Painted Jeans
I'd say just go to any store that sell art supplies (Michael's is probably a good idea) and see if anyone that works there has a good idea or just spy through the internet to see if someone has an answer on what varnish works best on acrylic.
I could probably give you an answer if I could remember what kind of varnish my grandmother used to use, but I can't. xP All I remember is that it's best to varnish it more than once.

Re: Zelda Fanart: Painted Jeans
Hey thanks guys for all the compliments. It's nice to appreciated by fellow Zelda fans.
![]() Here's me wearing the pants (or at least my legs). There's a little triforce that I added at the top:![]() And here's my third image of the actual painted area of the pants. This time I stuck them in the scanner; my digital camera sucks: ![]() (Alas even my scanner can't seem to pick it up perfectly. There's a giant crease down the middle. xD) |
