A Day at the Beach
![]() This was a "creative expression" I did for my humanities class last month. It's my rendition of this picture, depicting Link, Zelda and Malon, done in an homage to Seurat's pointilist style. We had just finished impressionism, you see, and pointilism was one of the art styles of that period (which was pioneered by the fabulous Seurat), so I decided to do my creative in an homage to him. Admittedly, it looks ugly here. It looks a whole lot better in person than it does on the computer because the inconsistency in the shading of the individual dots isn't as apparent (the uniformity suffers, as I saw when I auto-corrected it on Picture Manager). Some places were so bad that I actually had to do "skin grafting" to cover them up... specifically Zelda's face (alert: the only reason Zelda looks beautiful is because she had to do surgery. Poor girl). This took about five days... I started on Wednesday the 14th, and I finished it in Japanese on the morning of the 19th (the sky alone took that entire weekend). By far the longest time I've spent on any one piece of art.
