April Voting - Suspense Theme

Here's where you vote for your favorite artwork for the theme of....
SUSPENSE!

When voting, please follow the following rules otherwise it might be rendered void and not counted.

Rules:

1) Your vote MUST be detailed. To make sure of this use the following as a guide, so that you mention them in your vote:
-THEME?
Do you think the artist did well in capturing the Theme?
Look at all the following points, and can you say that everything they've done really does fit with the Theme of Contentment?

- WHY do you like it?
Is the design good or is it awkward to look at?
Do the colors work well together and capture the mood?
What does it make you feel?

- WHAT really gets your attention?
Does something leap out at you and really make you look at the drawing?

2) If I see anything that is just one line going "Hey, that's awesome! You've really captured the mood! +1 to you!" I will maim you and delete that post. Not after PMing you to say you have until the end of the voting period to change your vote though.

3) If you want to mention that another person's artwork was also good - you can put them down as an Honorable Mention. That way if they don't win the main competition they might win the 2nd place. If that's the case you only need to do the following without the detailed vote as to why them:

Reason: Minimum One sentence saying why you like it so much.

4) For those who submitted - this round you will not be voting as there is only one other entry to choose from. If you DO want to comment though, feel free.

Title: What's in the box?


The third submission is not included because it blatantly states it's theme as being "Link's equipment" and therefore not applicable to this months theme of suspense.

I like the second one, "What's in the box?" you can see the fear in his eyes, and it therefore followed the theme quite well.

The reason I picked it was because it was the most "suspenseful" and I also liked the style of it very much.

The second was pretty suspenseful, and nicely done. ^_^ The eyes!!!

I think the second one looks better as far as proportion and skills...
In the first drawing, link looks a bit like a tranny... and kinda lopsided.

That being said, however, the theme this month is suspense notsurprise.

The first picture has the dark atmosphere, with the glowing eyes inthe background behind Link.

the second pick conveys shock or surprise, rather than the tension of something ABOUT to happen.

my vote is for Picture #1.
